Type material originally not stated. In his previous publication (Buresch 1915a) from about 80 larvae collected (Buresch 1915a: 17) 26 ♂♂ and 24 ♀♀ are mentioned as reared successfully (Buresch 1915a: 26). The specimens kept at the museum from that first generation represent 21 ♂♂, 22 ♀♀. Additional paralectotypes exist in the col- lection at the Natural History Museum, London (Abadjiev 2002: 8). For stability of nomenclature and following Article 74 (ICZN 1999) the female with identifier “NMNHS-INV-T-01130” is here designated as lectotype for Doritis apollinus thracica Buresch, 1915. Treated as a junior subjective synonym of Archon apollinus apollinus (Herbst, 1798) (de Freina 1985: 126)., Published as part of Abadjiev, Stanislav & Langourov, Mario, 2020, The type specimens of Papilionoidea in the collection of the National Museum of Natural History, Sofia (Lepidoptera), pp. 473-490 in Zootaxa 4790 (3) on pages 485-489, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4790.3.3, http://zenodo.org/record/4019293, {"references":["Buresch, I.
