Menetrier’s disease (MD) is a rare hypertrophic gastropathy clinically characterized by digestive signs as epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, with hypoalbuminemia and anemia, endoscopically by giant rugal folds and histologically by tortuous foveolar hyperplasia with dilated glands and hypertrophic muscularis mucosae. The current study presents a case of MD in 44 year-old-man admitted to the hospital of Hassan II in Fez, Morocco with epigastralgia, vomiting and weight loss. Physical examination fond a pale face and anemia in laboratory studies. A total gastrectomy was performed given the resistance to treatment and the persistence of symptoms, as well as the suspect endoscopic aspect. Macroscopic examination showed hypertrophic and polyploid gastric mucosa resembles cerebral convolutions. Histological examination showed a foveolar hyperplasia, tortuosity and dilatation of the glands. Hypertrophic muscularis mucosae with smooth muscle bundles extending into the lamina propria have also been observed. MD is considered as precancerous condition, and is associated with an increased risk of gastric cancer. This is a retrospective study of MD to describe his clinical, endoscopic and histological features, showing also the difficulty of the histological diagnosis.

Proliferative myositis is a rare benign pseudosarcomatous inflammatory process that rapidly grows in muscles. Its clinical and radiological features may, however, simulate a malignant tumor. We report ultrasound and MRI appearances of a 63 years-old woman with no significant anterior pathological history presented to our radiology department with two weeks history of a painful mass in the left musculus latissimus dorsi, increasing progressively in size, without history of recent trauma. This study describes the imaging features of these pseudo inflammatory process, which may help to suggest the diagnosis, but the imaging finding are variable and nonspecific. However, histopathological examination is usually recommended to confirm the diagnosis. In our case, the final diagnosis was proved by ultrasound-guided biopsy. We also review the imaging features of this entity in the current literature.

Les carcinomes annexiels sont rares et représentent moins de 1% des carcinomes cutanées. Le carcinome scléreux des glandes sudorales a été décrit pour la première fois en 1982 par Goldsteinet al.Nous rapportons un nouveau cas de localisation inhabituelle péri. Il s´agit d´une patiente de 33 ans, présentait une lésion cutanée péri-anale, d´aspect rétracté. L´analyse histologique de la biopsie cutanée péri-lésionnelle, l´immunohistochimie, la négativité des investigations cliniques, radiologiques et endoscopiques nous ont permis de poser le diagnostic du carcinome scléreux eccrine. Il s´agit d´une entité rare, de localisation habituelle faciale, d´évolution lente mais agressive. Elle pose le problème de diagnostic différentiel avec des tumeurs bénignes et malignes d´où l´enjeu pour le pathologiste de savoir évoquer ce carcinome devant toute lésion cutanée d´aspect scléreux et infiltrant, d´évolution lente et dans un contexte de conservation de l´état général et d´absence d´histoire néoplasique, et de ne pas hésiter à demander de nouvelles biopsies profondes si doute.

The conserved Blm10/PA200 activators bind to the proteasome core and facilitate peptide and protein turnover. Blm10/PA200 proteins enhance proteasome peptidase activity and accelerate the degradation of unstructured proteasome substrates. Our knowledge about the exact role of PA200 in diseased cells, however, is still limited. Here, we show that stable knockdown of PA200 leads to a significantly elevated number of cells in S phase after treatment with the ATP synthase inhibitor, oligomycin. However, following exposure to the complex I inhibitor rotenone, more PA200‐depleted cells were in sub‐G1 and G2/M phases indicative of apoptosis. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ChIP‐seq data analysis of collected reads indicate PA200‐enriched regions in the genome of SH‐SY5Y. We found that PA200 protein peaks were in the vicinity of transcription start sites. Gene ontology annotation revealed that genes whose promoters were enriched upon anti‐PA200 ChIP contribute to the regulation of crucial intracellular processes, including proliferation, protein modifications and metabolism. Selective mitochondrial inhibitors induced PA200 redistribution in the genome, leading to protein withdrawal from some gene promoters and binding to others. Collectively, the results support a model in which PA200 potentially regulates cellular homeostasis at the transcriptional level, in addition to its described role as an alternative activator of the proteasome.

Dysplasia is a preneoplastic lesion. Histological diagnosis is based on the presence of architectural and cytological modifications, and dedifferentiation, which the intensity is variable. Dysplasia is commonly graded as low and high grade. We achieved a retrospective study of 90 cases of gastrointestinal dysplasia collected in the Department of Pathology of Hassan II university hospital of Fez, during a period of 3 years. The cases were reviewed independently and blindly without clinical information by two pathologists. Their diagnoses were compared to the initial diagnosis. Interobserver concordance in the diagnosis of the degree of dysplasia was evaluated. The average age of our patients was 56 years oldwithout predominance of sex. The interobserver concordance in the diagnosis of digestive dysplasia between the three pathologists was moderate (with a Kappa estimated at 0.42). Concordant diagnosis for digestive low grade dysplasia was observed in 50 cases of the 55 cases (90%) and only 18 cases of high-grade dysplasia of 35 cases studied (50%). The agreement for the low-grade dysplasia is more significant. However, there is significant variation in the analysis of high-grade dysplasia. This work reveals a moderate reproducibility in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal dysplasia lesions and mostly well marked for high-grade dysplasia.

The conserved Blm10/PA200 proteins are proteasome activators. Previously, we identified PA200-enriched regions in the genome of SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells by chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and ChIP-seq analysis. We also found that selective mitochondrial inhibitors induced PA200 redistribution in the genome. Collectively, our data indicated that PA200 regulates cellular homeostasis at the transcriptional level. In the present study, our aim is to investigate the impact of stable PA200 depletion (shPA200) on the overall transcriptome of SH-SY5Y cells. RNA-seq data analysis reveals that the genetic ablation of PA200 leads to overall changes in the transcriptional landscape of SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. PA200 activates and represses genes regulating metabolic processes, such as the glycolysis and mitochondrial function. Using metabolic assays in live cells, we showed that stable knockdown of PA200 does not change basal respiration. Spare respiratory capacity and proton leak however are slightly, yet significantly, reduced in PA200-deficient cells by 99.834% and 84.147%, respectively, compared to control. Glycolysis and glycolytic capacity show a 42.186% and 26.104% increase in shPA200 cells, respectively, compared to control. These data suggest a shift from oxidative phosphorylation to glycolysis especially when cells are exposed to oligomycin-induced stress. Furthermore, we observed a preserved long and compact tubular mitochondrial morphology after inhibition of ATP synthase by oligomycin, which might be associated with the glycolytic change of shPA200 cells. The present study also demonstrates that the proteolytic cleavage of Opa1 is affected, and that the level of OMA1 is significantly reduced in shPA200 cells upon oligomycin-induced mitochondrial insult. Together, these findings suggest a role for PA200 in the regulation of metabolic changes in response to selective inhibition of ATP synthase in an in vitro cellular model.

We report two cases of lipoma of the parotid gland. Case 1 presented with a left parotid soft and painless tumefaction. The MRI showed a hypersignal-T1 hypersignal-T2 mass measuring 5cm in diameter, which disappeared after the suppression of the fat signal. Case 2 presented with a well defined and mobile tumefaction in the right parotid region. The MRI showed a lipomatous mass measuring 8.8cm in diameter, with a mass-effect on the sub-maxillary artery. The histological examination of the two cases revealed a parotid gland with an adipose proliferation arranged in lobules. It was compound of mature adipocytes, without atypia, lipoblasts or necrosis.

In this study, a Direct Torque Control is proposed as a Fault tolerant control for an induction motor fed by the Z-source Eight-Switches Three-Phase Inverter (Z-source ESTPI). This structure is the post-fault reconfiguration of the Z-source three-level Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) inverter in the case of IGBTs open circuit. This technique ensures the voltage buck-boost function, reduces torque ripple and ensures the balancing of the middle point of the DC bus voltage. A hysteresis comparator is added to regulate the voltages of the two capacitors. Therefore, an improved switching table is proposed. A simulation is carried-out to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the Fault tolerant direct torque control solution.

Singnet ring cell carcinoma of the breast is a rare and aggressive tumor. We report the case of a 44-year-old woman with signet ring cell carcinoma of breast who was treated in the gynecology and medical oncology departments of HASSAN II Hospital University in Fez. She received a neoadjuvant chemotherapy with the anthracyclines and taxanes. After she had radical mastectomy and radiotherapy. Currently she has remained in good control.

The trachea is an unusual site οf primary malignancy. Very few cases οf primary tracheal lymphοma with central airway οbstructiοn have been repοrted sο far. Cοmmοn cοmplaints are dyspnea and cοugh that cοuld mimic a partially refractοry asthma in sοme cases. In this article; we will present the case οf a 63-year-οld wοman diagnοsed with a tracheal lymphοma causing life-threatening airway οbstructiοn, this was cοnfirmed by brοnchοscοpy biοpsy and histοpathοlοgical exminatiοn.The mοrtality depends οn the prοgressiοn οf the disease, the οbstructiοn οf the airway. Hοwever, this entity has a gοοd prοgnοsis if diagnοsed immediately and treated with specific chemοtherapy.This case will shοw that the diagnοsis οf tracheal lymphοma shοuld be kept in mind within the differential diagnοsis οf central airway οbstructiοn. International audience; ReMap (http://remap.univ-amu.fr) aims to provide the largest catalogs of high-quality regulatory regions resulting from a large-scale integrative analysis of hundreds of transcription factors and regulators from DNA-binding experiments in Human and Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana). In this 2020 update of ReMap we have collected, analyzed and retained after quality control 2764 new human ChIP-seq and 208 ChIP-exo datasets available from public sources. The updated human atlas totalize 5798 datasets covering a total of 1135 transcriptional regulators (TRs) with a catalog of 165 million (M) peaks. This ReMap update comes with two unique Arabidopsis regulatory catalogs. First, a catalog of 372 Arabidopsis TRs across 2.6M peaks as a result of the integration of 509 ChIP-seq and DAP-seq datasets. Second, a catalog of 33 hi-stone modifications and variants across 4.5M peaks from the integration of 286 ChIP-seq datasets. All catalogs are made available through track hubs at Ensembl and UCSC Genome Browsers. Additionally, this update comes with a new web framework providing an interactive user-interface, including improved search features. Finally, full programmatically access to the underlying data is available using a RESTful API together with a new R Shiny interface for a TRs binding enrichment analysis tool.
