2. Affordable inline structuration measurements of printable mortar with a pocket shear vane

Abstract

The control of mortar rheology is of paramount importance in the design of systems and structures in 3D printing concrete by extrusion. This is particularly sensitive for two-component (2K) processes that use an accelerator to switch the printed mortar very quickly from a liquid behavior to a sufficiently solid behavior to be able to be printed. It is necessary to set up simple and effective tests within a precise methodological framework to qualify materials evolving so quickly in an industrial context. It is obvious that inline solutions, that is to say, post-printing solutions, will be more desirable than benchtop-type solutions reproducing the printing conditions as well as possible, but imperfectly. After some main key points about measuring the structuration of mortars, we propose an original inline test using a pocket shear vane tester. Abstract

In the present work, we realize the space of 2-string links $\mathcal{L}$ as a free algebra over a colored operad denoted $\mathcal{SCL}$ (for "Swiss-Cheese for links"). This result extends works of Burke and Koytcheff about the quotient of $\mathcal{L}$ by its center and is compatible with Budney's freeness theorem for long knots. From an algebraic point of view, our main result refines Blaire, Burke and Koytcheff's theorem on the monoid of isotopy classes of string links. We develop the combinatorics of leveled trees in order to construct explicit resolutions of (co)operads and (co)operadic (co)bimodules. We build explicit cofibrant resolutions of operads and operadic bimodules in spectra analogous to the ordinary Boardman--Vogt resolutions and we express them as cobar constructions of indecomposable elements. Dually, in the context of CDGAs, we perform similar constructions, and we obtain fibrant resolutions of Hopf cooperads and Hopf cooperadic cobimodules. Objective To examine factors influencing the kinetics of monosodium urate (MSU) crystal dissolution measured with dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) during follow-up of patients with gout.Methods Patients with a diagnosis of gout with baseline knees and feet DECT scans exhibiting MSU crystal volumes ≥0.1 cm3 and at least one follow-up DECT were included. Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to search for association between change from baseline MSU crystal volume at 6, 12, 18 and 24 months and serum urate (SU) level. 26. Are gout patients with negative dual-energy computed tomography for monosodium urate crystal deposition easy to treat?

Abstract

Objectives To determine the clinical associations and predictive value of two thresholds of negative dual-energy CT (DECT) for MSU crystal deposition in gout patients initiating urate-lowering therapy (ULT) and identify which threshold is more clinically relevant. Methods Patients from the CRYSTALILLE cohort with a diagnosis of gout naïve to ULT with baseline DECT scans of the knees and feet were selected. Two thresholds of positivity for DECT detection of MSU crystal deposition were considered (<0.01 cm3 and <0.1 cm3). Baseline characteristics and the prediction of key outcomes after ULT initiation, including reaching serum urate (SU) levels <6.0 and 5.0 mg/dl and occurrence of flares at 6, 12 and 24 months, associated with both thresholds of negative DECTs were compared with those of patients having positive DECT scans. Results A total of 211 patients, median age 66.2 years [interquartile range (IQR) 57–75.8], with a median symptom duration of 3 years (IQR 0–7.8) were included. A total of 38/211 (18%) and 90/211 (43%) had negative DECT scans for the 0.01 and 0.1 cm3 thresholds, respectively. Factors associated with negative DECT scans were younger age, shorter symptom duration and an absence of cardiovascular disease for both volume thresholds. A total of 9/39 (23.1%), 3/26 (11.5%) and 1/18 (5.6%) patients with <0.1 cm3 MSU crystals had flares at 6, 12 and 24 months, respectively, compared with 18/45 (40.0%), 9/36 (25.0%) and 2/18 (11.1%) patients with ≥0.1 cm3 (P  > 0.05). Overall, 95 patients (68.3%) reached SU levels <6.0 mg/dl and 68 (48.9%) reached levels <5.0 mg/dl, without any difference between positive and negative DECTs, with ULT dosages that tended to be lower in patients with negative DECTs. Conclusion The 0.1 cm3 threshold was better correlated with clinical presentation and evolution than the 0.01 cm3 threshold. Gout patients with negative DECTs exhibit milder disease and a lower comorbidity burden. They do not exhibit particularly easy-to-treat hyperuricaemia but they may have a lower risk of flares. Abstract

We study a connection between mapping spaces of bimodules and of infinitesimal bimodules over an operad. As main application and motivation of our work, we produce an explicit delooping of the manifold calculus tower associated to the space of smooth maps $D^{m}\rightarrow D^{n}$ of discs, $n\geq m$, avoiding any given multisingularity and coinciding with the standard inclusion near $\partial D^{m}$. In particular, we give a new proof of the delooping of the space of disc embeddings in terms of little discs operads maps with the advantage that it can be applied to more general mapping spaces.

From a map of operads $\eta : O\rightarrow O'$, we introduce a cofibrant replacement of the operad $O$ in the category of bimodules over itself such that the corresponding model of the derived mapping space of bimodules $Bimod_{O}^{h}(O;O')$ is an algebra over the one dimensional little cubes operad $\mathcal{C}_{1}$. In the present work, we also build an explicit weak equivalence of $\mathcal{C}_{1}$-algebras from the loop space $\Omega Operad^{h}(O;O')$ to $Bimod_{O}^{h}(O;O')$.

Abstract

In the present work, we extract pairs of topological spaces from maps between coloured operads. We prove that those pairs are weakly equivalent to explicit algebras over the one dimensional Swiss-Cheese operad SC_{1}. Thereafter, we show that the pair formed by the space of long knots and the polynomial approximation of (k)-immerions from R^{d} to R^{n} is an SC_{d+1}-algebra assuming the Dwyer-Hess'conjecture.
