Abstract

The article profiles the late Edwin P. Trueblood, former faculty of Earlham College, a Quaker liberal arts college in Indiana. He was born on May 16, 1861 and died on April 5, 1951 in Richmond. He served in the college from 1888 to 1939 as a teacher of speech and director of athletics. He was the youngest of nine children and graduated at Earlham in 1885 with a Bachelor of Science degree. His legacy in speech education at Earlham is discussed.
