In the current article, we examine some properties of analytic functions associated with cosine and exponential functions. We calculate some conditions on α so that; if 1 + αz2−pƒ′(z)/p, 1 + α z2ƒ′(z)/pƒ(z), 1 + α zp+2ƒ′(z)/pƒ2(z) and 1 + α z2p+2ƒ′(z)/pƒ3(z) are subordinated by Janowski functions, then ƒ(z)/zp ≺ cos(z). By making use of the pre-Schwarzian norm given by ‖ f ‖ = sup z ∈ U (1 − | z | 2) | f ′ ′ (z) f ′ (z) | , we obtain such norm estimates for Hohlov operator of functions belonging to the class of uniformly convex functions of order α and type β. We also employ an entirely new method to generalize and extend the results of Theorems 1, 2 and 3 in [3]. A typical problem in the theory of analytic functions is to study a functional made up of combinations of coefficients of the original function. Usually, there is a parameter over which the extremal value of the functional is needed. One of the important functionals of this type is the Fekete-Szegö functional defined on the class of analytic functions. In the paper we introduce the class of linear combinations of functions which are subordinated to a convex function. Abstract: In the paper we introduce general classes of multivalent analytic functions defined by the subordination. In particular, we define the class of multivalent prestarlike functions. By using the Ruscheweyh’s duality theory we investigate convolution properties related to multivalent prestarlike functions and various inclusion relationships between defined classes of functions. Abstract: In this paper we investigate an interesting subclass of analytic univalent functions in the open unit disc on the complex plane. This class was introduced by Sokół [J. Sokół, On starlike functions connected with Fibonacci numbers, Folia Scient. Univ. Tech. Resoviensis 175 (1999) 111–116]. The class is strongly related to the class considered earlier by the authors of the present work in their paper [J. Dziok, R. K. Raina, J. Sokół, Certain results for a class of convex functions related to shell-like curve connected with Fibonacci Numbers, Comput. Math. Appl. 61 (2011) 2606–2613]. The aim of this article is to make a connection between the Pascal distribution series and some subclasses of normalized analytic functions whose coefficients are probabilities of the Pascal distribution.
