The article defines that the social functioning of communication technologies forms the media environment (media space) of a digital society. Organizations that are at high levels of digital maturity are significantly more likely than organizations with lower maturity to achieve high net income and annual revenue growth. Based on the analysis, ten key competencies that are critical for the management of the media industry are identified.

The effect of pressure-assisted sintering and preliminary densification by hydrostatic pressure of commercial powder on the microstructure and superconducting properties of MgB2 ceramics is studied in this work. Various thermomechanical actions are shown to result in the formation of different structural defects, which can be considered probable centers of magnetic flux pinning.

Many-spin entanglement is investigated in one-dimensional zigzag chains, consisting of up to 12 spins 1/2, with nearest neighbor and next nearest neighbor interactions at high and low temperatures. We consider multiple quantum (MQ) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) dynamics. The second moment of the distribution of MQ coherences, which provides a lower bound on the quantum Fisher information, is calculated for different temperatures and evolution times. The dependence of the number of the entangled spins on the temperature and the chain length is obtained.

The fine structure of YBa2Cu3Oy single crystals with a different oxygen content subjected to a low-temperature hydrogenation have been investigated by transmission electron microscopy. It has been shown that as a result of the action of hydrogen at T = 150°С, a partial reduction of copper occurs, accompanied by the precipitation of Cu crystallites of ~100 nm in size and the formation of various structural defects. The geometric configuration of the precipitated crystallites has been considered. The results obtained show that hydrogenation is a method that makes it possible to control the structure by introducing nanosized inclusions and defects, which can be pinning centers of the magnetic vortices.

Assessment of the diagnostic accuracy of predictive indexes of liver fibrosis for the identification of severe fibrosis and cirrhosis (F3F4) in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC).The retrospective design study included 127 patients with chronic hepatitis C (mean age 44.511.1 years). To assess the degree of liver fibrosis, all patients underwent transient elastography using a Fibroscan (EchoSens, France) and predictive indexes of liver fibrosis were calculated (APRI, FIB-4, discriminant Bonacini score). Transient elastography was considered as a reference method for assessing the degree of liver fibrosis for subsequent comparison of results with predictive fibrosis indixes.The sensitivity of the APRI index for the identification of severe fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver (F3F4) was 79%, and specificity was 69%. The FIB-4 index showed greater specificity (86%), but less sensitivity (68%). The sensitivity of the discriminant Bonacini scale was 81%, and the specificity was 77%. The positive predictive value of the APRI index, FIB-4 and the Bonacini scale for the identification of severe fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver (F3F4) in patients with chronic hepatitis C was 66; 78 and 72% respectively, and negative predictive value 82; 78 and 84% respectively.The results of this study indicate the relatively high diagnostic accuracy of a number of predictive indexes for evaluating liver fibrosis (APRI, FIB-4, discriminant Bonachini scale) in identifying severe fibrosis and cirrhosis of the liver (F3F4) in patients with chronic hepatitis C.Цель исследования.Оценка диагностической точности предиктивных индексов оценки фиброза печени при идентификации выраженного фиброза и цирроза печени (F3F4) у пациентов с хроническим гепатитом С (ХГС). Материалы и методы.В исследование ретроспективного дизайна включено 127 пациентов с ХГС (средний возраст 44,511,1 года). Всем пациентам для оценки степени фиброза печени выполнялась транзиентная эластография на аппарате Fibroscan (EchoSens, Франция) и рассчитывались предиктивные индексы оценки фиброза печени (APRI, FIB-4, дискриминантная шкала Боначини). Транзиентная эластография рассматривалась как референтный метод оценки степени фиброза печени для последующего сопоставления результатов с предиктивными индексами фиброза. Результаты.Показатели предиктивных индексов фиброза печени, свидетельствующие в пользу наличия у пациента выраженного фиброза и цирроза печени (F3F4), выявлены у 64 пациентов при расчете индекса APRI (1,5), у 47 пациентов при расчете индекса FIB-4 (3,25) и у 41 больного при оценке по дискриминантной шкале Боначини (6). Чувствительность индекса APRI при идентификации выраженного фиброза и цирроза печени (F3F4) составила 79%, а специфичность 69%. Индекс FIB-4 продемонстрировал большую специфичность (86%), однако меньшую чувствительность (68%). Чувствительность дискриминантной шкалы Боначини составила 81%, а специфичность 77%. Положительная предсказательная ценность индекса APRI, FIB-4 и шкалы Боначини при идентификации выраженного фиброза и цирроза печени (F3F4) у пациентов с ХГС составила 66; 78 и 72% соответственно, а негативная предсказательная ценность 82; 78 и 84% соответственно. Заключение.Результаты настоящего исследования свидетельствуют об относительно высокой диагностической точности ряда предиктивных индексов оценки фиброза печени (APRI, FIB-4, дискриминантная шкала Боначини) при идентификации выраженного фиброза и цирроза печени (F3F4) у пациентов с ХГС.

Cytophysiological adaptive features of apple fruits (Malus domestica Borkh.) were examined as a function of growth altitude—300, 500, 700, and 1200 m above sea level—in the mountains of the North Caucasus. The altitude-related conditions of apple tree cultivation differed by a range of growth-limiting factors, high irradiance and low temperature in particular. With the use of fruit skins of M. domestica, it was found for the first time that the number of cells containing phenolic substances in the outer cell layers and the amount of accumulated phenols increase with the altitude of tree growth. At higher elevation belts, the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids also increased, which accounted for the rise of the unsaturation index. Phenolic substances protect the fruit peripheral tissues by screening the cells from high doses of UV radiation and by exerting their powerful antioxidant effects. The increased degree of fatty acid unsaturation helps to retain the fluidity of cell membranes in the physiological range at low temperatures. Thus, apple fruits grown at high altitudes adapt to mountain conditions by a suite of structural and functional changes in the peripheral tissues, which facilitates the maintenance of homeostasis in the inner cell layers. The complex rearrangements in fruit tissues of M. domestica trees enable them to grow at high elevation belts under frequently changing conditions and to remain fully productive at various altitudes.

—In a bulk MgB2 compound synthesized with an excess of magnesium, a structure that could provide high critical currents has been obtained as a result of deformation by upsetting and subsequent annealing at 650°C for 7 h. The investigation of this structure using X-ray diffraction and scanning and transmission electron microscopy methods has shown that a dense nanosized matrix MgB2 phase with good intergrain bonding is formed in the obtained material. In the matrix phase, there are uniformly distributed dispersed inclusions of MgO, which could serve as pinning centers.

The composition of fatty acids of total lipids of the outer and parenchymal part of the pericarp in Cydonia oblonga Mill and Mespilus germanica L. Maloideae (ROSACEAE), growing in the Northern Caucasian mountains at altitudes of 300, 500, 700, and 1200 m above sea level in various natural zones from experimental sites, was studied for the first time. It is established that the altitude of plant growth is largely correlated with the changes in the FA composition of the outer, but not the parenchymal, part of the pericarp. The nature of this variability suggests that the adaptation of plants to the conditions of significant temperature differences in the mountains is associated with the regulation of cell membrane fluidity, based on the interaction of opposite processes of synthesis of polyunsaturated and very-long-chain fatty acids.

In the present article, the authors provide detailed material on the 13-year observation of a patient with such a rare disease as Whipple’s disease. Pathophysiological aspects, in particular changes in immunity within the framework of this nosology, clinical picture are also described in detail, and the emphasis is placed on the interrelation of certain symptoms, their intensification and regression. Taking into account the absence of clear recommendations for the management of such patients, the article considers various options of therapeutic schemes, and also reflects the own results of treatment.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common pathologies in modern clinical practice. Laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) is considered to be an extraesophageal manifestation of GERD and is characterized by retrograde ingestion of gastric content into the larynx and pharynx, leading to recurrent otolaryngological symptoms. Classical manifestations of LPR are hoarseness, perspiration, dryness and feeling of lump in the throat, coughing. There is no «gold standard» for the diagnosis of LPR. At the same time, several instrumental methods are used in clinical practice to verify the diagnosis: laryngoscopy and EGDS are the most common, and in some cases - 24-hour pH-metry and impedancemetry. In the case of an established diagnosis of LPR, it is recommended to use a standard dosage of PPI twice a day for 3–6 months.

The influence of hydrogenation at T = 150°С on the structure of the YBa2Cu3Oy single crystals with different oxygen contents has been investigated using polarization optical and scanning microscopy methods with texture-orientation EBSD-analysis. It has been revealed that in the hydrogenation process on the surface of the YBa2Cu3Oy single crystals there is a partial reduction of copper with the formation of nanosized crystals of metallic copper coated with a Cu2O layer.

Dymanics of spin dimers in multiple quantum NMR experiment is studied on the 5-qubit superconducting quantum processor of IBM {Quantum Experience} for the both {pure} ground and thermodynamic equilibrium (mixed) initial states. The work can be considered as a first step towards an application of quantum computers to solving problems of magnetic resonance. The values of cellular, humoral immunity, cytokine status, those of phagocytic activity of neutrophils (PAN) have been studied in patients with Perthes disease II and III Stages. Considering a stage of the pathological process patients (boys at the age of 8-12 years) were divided into two (2) groups. Group I included 14 patients with the fragmentation stage (Perthes disease Stage II). Group 2 include d 15 children with Perthes disease Stage III (the stage of re-ossification). Perthes disease regardless of the stage of the disease was characterized by the increase in oxygendependent and lysosomal phagocytic activity of neutrophils, the increase in the number of early extracellular traps, as well as by increased concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β and TNFa), IgЕ, decreased concentrations of IL-18. The fragmentation stage was characterized by moderate activation of cellular immunity with a prevailing increase in the number of T-lymphocytes with early activation markers (CD25). At the re-ossification stage the predominance of T-lymphocytes was observed with late activation markers (HLADR), being accompanied by moderate activation of humoral immunity (increased concentrations of class A and G serum immunoglobulins). The obtained data can be used as additional criteria for clarifying Perthes disease stage, predicting osteonecrosis development when making decision of the feasibility of performing reconstructive surgeries on the joint.

The objective of the study was to evaluate cytokine concentration and profile of lipid peroxidation in synovial fluid of patients with osteoarthritis and concomitant defects of articular surfaces. Material and methods Synovial fluid samples were taken from 102 patients with osteoarthritis of the knee joint. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis of a post-traumatic etiology, and somatic diseases that could affect results of the study were excluded from the study. Thirty control samples originated from deceased donors of both genders. Synovial fluid was extracted in compliance with Ministry of Health Order No. 694 dtd July 21, 1978, p. 2.24 "Guidelines of forensic medical examination in the USSR". Results Findings of laboratory studies showed statistically significant differences in synovial fluid cytokine levels depending on absence or presence of defects on the tibial condyles. Biochemical tests revealed greater changes in lipid peroxidation in patients with articular defects. Total level of lipid peroxidation products resulting in the formation of conjugated dienes (CD), malondialdehyde (MDA) was shown to increase in both groups of patients being significantly higher in patients with defects on articular surfaces. Primary (conjugated dienes) and secondary (malondialdehyde) lipid peroxidation products accumulated in the synovial fluid of the patients with the levels being significantly increased in both groups with no changes in the CD/MDA ratio. Patients with defects on articular surfaces demonstrated increased formation of primary products, and non-defect group showed greater formation of secondary products. Antioxidant enzyme, catalase, appeared to me more active in patients of Group I. Conclusion The findings can be used to evaluate defects on articular surface and identify strategies of medication therapy.

The structure of a massive MgB2 compound deformed by upsetting at room temperature and then annealed at 650°C has been investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The obtained material is characterized by a dense nanosized structure of the matrix MgB2 phase with good intergrain bonds and a uniform distribution of dispersed MgO inclusions.

Structures of the massive MgB2 samples deformed in Bridgman anvils that were initially in different structural states, namely, as-synthesized and post-four-stage-treated (via deformation + annealing), have been studied by methods of the X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, and measurements of microhardness. The process of the deformation of brittle ceramic samples of MgB2 under high pressure has been discussed. An analysis of the obtained data has shown that the plastic deformation of the superconductor MgB2 preliminarily compacted by a four-stage treatment has been implemented in the main through the mutual rotation of crystallites (grains) and by grain-boundary sliding without a noticeable refinement of the grain structure.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) becomes gradually the most frequent liver disease in the world. Expert teams in the USA, Western Europe, and Russia give pride of place within the NAFLD treatment regime to lifestyle modification including the optimization of physical activity, diet and, as a consequence, the BMI reduction. However, it is often difficult for the practitioner to motivate the patients to change their lifestyle and eating habits. Due to this, it is extremely important to use a pharmacologic therapy aimed at weight loss, reducing insulin resistance and repopulating the severely damaged liver parenchyma. By now ursodeoxycholic acid drugs (Ursosan) have been proved to be highly effective in treating NAFLD in clinical practice, having a significant impact on several pathogenetic mechanisms of this disease.

Lymphangioma circumscriptum (LC) is a rare, benign condition, predominantly characterized by the malformation of lymphatic skin vessels. The most common sites include the oral mucosa, tongue, skin of the extremities and torso. Lymphangioma of the penis is rare disease. In the paper a clinical case of cystic lymphangioma of the penis, which was initially diagnosed as herpes and human papillomavirus infection, is described. Early diagnosis of skin tumors of anogenital area allows to prescribe a timely therapy. After the CO2-laser vaporization there was no recurrence during the 6-month follow-up period.

Fatty acid (FA) composition of lipids from leaves and differentiated fleshy strobila tissues and sporangia with spores of Cycas (Cycas revoluta Thumb.) after their step quantitative extraction from plant material was investigated. Quantitative content and qualitative composition of FAs of extractable and nonextractable leaf lipids were determined. It was established that flesh lipids of sporophylls are characterized by a high saturation level and contain a considerable proportion of saturated FAs with the usual chain length (C12–C18, 53–57%). At the same time, total amount of etherified FAs with a very long chain in lipids not extractable by the method of Zhukov and Vereshchagin exceeds several times that found in extractable lipids (~15 and ~4%, respectively). Neutral lipids of Cycas spores were represented by triacylglycerols, the lower-alkyl esters of FAs, free FAs, and sterol esters.

Heterovalent element substitution is an effective way to optimize functional properties of the Y-Ba-Cu-O high-temperature superconductors. In this study, we analyze the effect of Y-Ca substitution on microstructure and critical current in YBa2Cu3O6.8 ceramics with transmission electron microscopy and magnetometry. The obtained results reveal that the substitution of Y3+ by Ca2+ initiates the formation of complicated microstructure consisting of Y(Ca)-123 matrix with multiple defects of different types and fine nanoscale Y-211 particles coherently coupled with the matrix. Depending on Ca doping, various microstructural defects such as dislocations, stacking faults, and effects associated with cationic disorder are observed. The magnetic and superconducting properties in Ca-substituted compositions Y-123 are discussed in terms of the sample microstructure morphology and the specificity of coupling between the basic Y(Ca)-123 phase and impurity particles of the Y-211 phase. We find that shape type and dispersion of the Y-211 precipitations are crucial to regulating both the critical current and the critical temperature in the ceramics.

Cytokine imbalance is important for pathogenesis of osteoarthritis. Objective To assess serum and synovium cytokine level in patients with deforming osteoarthritis of the knee joint depending on the size of the medial tibial condyle defect. Material and methods Immunoenzyme technique was used to measure cytokine concentration in peripheral blood and synovium of 74 patients with grade III gonarthritis. Results Serum concentration of IL–1β and IL–4 were significantly higher in presence of small, moderate and extensive condylar defects than that in the control group. Concentration of IL–8, IL–10, TNFα was higher in absence of the defect than that in the controls and there was no statistically significant differences in the groups with small and moderate defects. The highest concentration of the cytokines was observed in the group with defects sized more than 10 mm. Synovium concentration of IL–1β, IL–10 was minimum in absence of condylar defect and there was a tendency of increased concentration with a defect measuring less than 5 mm and it substantially increased with defects measuring more than 6 mm. Synovium concentration of IL–8 was higher than that of the serum but there was no statistically significant differences between IL–6 and synovium TNFα concentration. Conclusions The magnitude of the condylar defect was shown to influence over synovium and serum cytokine concentration. Concentration of both cytokines was the highest with condylar defect sized more than 50 % of the condylar area and 6 mm deep.

The structure of the YBa2Cu3O y (123) compound has been investigated after severe plastic deformation by high-pressure torsion performed at room temperature. Distinctive structural features of the samples prepared by standard synthesis and the samples (with increased critical current density) after treatment at t = 200°C in water-saturated atmosphere have been revealed. It has been shown that a lamellar textured structure formed during the annealing of hydrated and deformed samples includes a superconducting orthorhombic phase with a high oxygen index and residual defects that can serve as pinning centers.

MgB2 superconductors subjected to deformation under pressure on Bridgeman anvils and subsequent annealings at 800 and 950°C were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and microanalysis. It was shown that at these temperatures crystals of MgB2 phase along the residual boron dissolute in the residual liquid magnesium with the formation of both dense and loose areas of MgB2 phase. The latter has a negative influence on critical current. At the same time, after these treatments, the samples become more uniform by the phase and chemical composition.

The influence of plastic deformation carried out by high pressure torsion at room temperature on the microstructure of the YBa2Cu3O y (123) compound prepared by standard ceramic technology and annealed at low temperature (200°C) in a water-saturated atmosphere has been studied. It has been shown that the directional growth of recrystallized lamellar-shaped grains initiated by the 124–123 phase transformation takes place upon recovery (after deformation) annealing at 930°C in ceramics subjected to additional low-temperature annealing, which leads to the formation of the texture. A rodlike structure has been observed in samples prepared by standard technology, after deformation and recovery annealing (930°C).

We investigate entanglement in a two-spin system with the dipole–dipole interaction in the multi-pulse spin locking nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment. We discover a conflict between an exact solution and the standard approximation employing a time-independent effective Floquet Hamiltonian. While the exact solution shows nonzero entanglement in the system, the perturbative Floquet approach predicts that entanglement is absent. The failure of the Floquet method is explained by the multivaluedness of the Floquet Hamiltonian. Correct results can only be obtained with a proper choice of the branch of the Hamiltonian. The same issue is present in other applications of the Floquet theorem in the perturbation theory beyond NMR.

The structure of the MgB2 superconductor subjected to high-temperature restoration annealing after cold deformation under high pressure in a Toroid chamber or Bridgman anvils has been investigated by transmission electron microscopy. It has been shown that after postdeformation annealing at 950°C the average size of crystallites in the matrix phase increases 5–10 times compared to the deformed state, reaching ~50–150 nm, as well as the critical current density increases by a factor of three (up to 6.7 × 104 A/cm2, 30 K) compared to the initial state. It has been found that the MgO phase and the higher magnesium borides are present in the form of dispersed precipitates 10–70 nm in size.

Degenerative-dystrophic processes in the articular tissues are accompanied by the changes in the values of congenital immunity, being a result of immune responses to aseptic inflammation. The purpose of this study - to investigate the oxygen-dependent mechanisms of neutrophil phagocytic activity (NBT-test, myeloperoxidase activity), the biochemical values of lipid peroxidation, the oxidative modification of proteins and the activity of enzyme antioxidant protection in children (at the age of 12-16 years) with osteochondropathy of the femoral head.The increase in spontaneous NBT-test and myeloperoxidase content in neutrophils, the decrease in NBT stimulation index, as well as the statistically significant increase in the activity of superoxide dismutase, the main producer of hydroperoxide, was revealed in the group examined. At the same time, no increase in catalase activity and in the content of lipoperoxidation products was observed, however, redistribution of the products of oxidative modification of proteins with ketone predominance was found. In case of osteochondropathy development in children the activation of the oxygen-dependent mechanisms of neutrophil phagocytic activity is observed, as well as the increase in the number of the secondary products of protein peroxidation - ketones. An increase in SOD activity, with a simultaneous and significant decrease in catalase activity evidence of accumulation of hydroperoxide causing neutrophil activation and chemotaxis. The study data can be used for predicting osteonecrosis development as additional criteria when decision-making of the advisability of performing reconstructive surgeries of the joint.

White goosefoot plants (Chenopodium album L. of the family Chenopodiaceae) grown at various NaCl concentrations (3–350 mM) in the nutrient solution were used to study the cell ultrastructure as well as the qualitative and quantitative composition of fatty acids in the lipids of vegetative organs. In addition, the biomass of Ch. album vegetative organs, the water content, and the concentrations of K+, Na+, and Cl– were determined. The growth rates of plants raised at NaCl concentrations up to 200–250 mM were the same as for the control plants grown at 3 mM NaCl; the growth parameters remained rather high even at NaCl concentrations of 300–350 mM. The water content in Ch. album organs remained high at all NaCl concentrations tested. Analysis of the ionic status of Ch. album revealed a comparatively high K+ content in plant organs. At low NaCl concentrations in the nutrient solution, K+ ions were the dominant contributors to the osmolarity (the total concentration of osmotically active substances) and, consequently, to the lowered cell water potential in leaves and roots. As the concentration of NaCl was increased, the plant organs accumulated larger amounts of Na+ and Cl–, and the contribution of these ion species to osmolarity became increasingly noticeable. At 300–350 mM NaCl the contribution of Na+ and Cl– to osmolarity was comparable to that of K+. An electron microscopy study of Ch. album cells revealed that, apart from the usual response to salinity manifested in typical ultrastructural changes of chloroplasts, mitochondria, and the cytosol, the salinity response comprised the enhanced formation of endocytic structures and exosomes and stimulation of autophagy. It is supposed that activation of these processes is related to the removal from the cytoplasm of toxic substances and the cell structures impaired by salt stress conditions. The qualitative and quantitative composition of fatty acids in the lipids of Ch. album organs was hardly affected by NaCl level. These findings are consistent with the high salt tolerance of Ch. album, manifested specifically in retention of growth functions under wide-range variations of NaCl concentration in the nutrient solution and in maintenance of K+, Na+, and Cl– content in organs at a constant level characteristic of untreated plants.

A synthesized MgB2 superconductor has been investigated by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and by the measurements of the superconducting characteristics and microhardness after cold high-pressure deformation in a Toroid chamber and in Bridgman anvils and subsequent high-temperature annealing. A nanocrystalline structure is formed in the superconductor after high-pressure treatment, but internal cracks appear, and the critical current density decreases strongly. The annealing leads to a coarsening of the structure and to an increase in the critical current density up to 5.8–6.7 × 104 А/сm2, which is more than three times greater than that in the initial state.
