The purpose of the workis to review the history of the development of walleye pollock stocks in the of Okhotsk sea, to analyze the fishery and the state of its stocks.Methods:literature data, materials of long-term surveys by VNIRO (1997–2002) on the walleye pollock spawning grounds of Western Kamchatka, as well as the R/V «Professor Kaganovsky» in the spring of 2022 were used. Fishery statistics of OSM Monitoring.Results:The maximum walleye pollock catch (0.91 million tons) in the North Sea of Okhotsk subarea was achieved in 1995. In the period 1998–2001 annual catches averaged 510 thousand tons, in 2002–2008 decreased to 210 thousand tons. Over the past decade, there has been a gradual increase in catch from 286 thousand tons in 2009 to 383 thousand tons in 2020. Pollock catches in the West Kamchatka and Kamchatka-K uril subzones after high fishery rates achieved in 1996–1997 (1.2 million tons), began to decline, falling in 2004 to 191 thousand tons, after which a tendency to their increase appeared. In the period 2016–2019 catches walleye pollock of East Okhotsk sea stabilized at the level of 617–618 thousand tons, in 2020 the catch amounted to 681 thousand tons. The walleye pollock stock in the East Sakhalin subzone is currently at a low level, its gradual recovery began in the mid-2000s in 2019–2020. its catch was 110 thousand tons.Novelty:New data on walleye pollock stocks in the Okhotsk Sea are presented. Based on the results of a trawl survey conducted in the spring of 2022, the total number of walleye pollock in the Okhotsk Sea was estimated at 56.043 billion ind., biomass — 13.497 million tons, while the commercial stock was estimated at 10.413 million tons and 21.964 billion ind. Maps of the distribution of adult walleye pollock and eggs in the Okhotsk Sea in the spring of 2022 are given.Practical significance:data on the status of walleye pollock stocks in the Okhotsk Sea will be used to prepare TAC materials, as well as recommendations for rational fishery.

A review of the state of the distributed subsoil fund (RFN) for the period from 1993 to 2021 was completed. on the territory of the Irkutsk region. The main stages and features of its development are highlighted. The RFN consists of 98 subsoil plots for which licenses have been issued for prospecting, exploration and exploitation of oil and gas fields. During the period under review, there has been a steady expansion of the RPF area and an increase in the volume of geological exploration. 30 companies are registered as subsoil users, of which the group of OOO INK, PJSC NK Rosneft, PJSC Gazprom stands out. These companies make the main contribution to exploration, operate on half of the area of the entire RFN and have a total of 47 licenses. As a result of the activities of all subsoil users, 33 oil and gas fields were discovered.

According to the bottom trawl-survey data, 97% of the ichthyomass in the southwestern region of the Kara Sea are composed of the Arctic cod Boreogadus saida; its stock is significantly higher than the previously registered resources. The Arctic cod is most unevenly distributed across the water area and capable to form the high-density aggregations, which can be caught by the targeted trawls. A wide range of the age composition (0+−6+), the size-age composition, and the growth rates of the Arctic cod in the trawl catches in the Kara Sea, which are different from those in the fish in the adjacent Barents Sea, can indicate their assignment of the Arctic cod in these seas to different populations.

The results of investigation are discussed on age and growth of the Pacific halibut Hippolglossus stenolepis, as well as size-age composition of its catches in three regions of the North-Western Pacific—in Navarin area of the Bering Sea, in Pacific waters on the Northern Kurils and south-eastern Kamchatka, of the Southern Kurils—from the end of the last century. The growth rate of Pacific halibut is similar in all three regions in spite of their considerable geographic remoteness. No significant differences in the growth rate of males and females in these regions, as well as no significant interannual differences in growth of specimens caught in Pacific waters off the Northern Kurils and south-eastern Kamchatka in 1996–2000, are found. Comparison of the present-day size-age composition and that in the beginning-middle of the last century revealed their considerable similarity.

The age composition of catches and growth of the cod Gadus morhua morhua in the Barents Sea were investigated on the materials, collected in 2002–2006 in comparison with the data for the previous fishing periods. Analysis of data on the age composition indicated that the range of age groups had not changed since the beginning of the past century; however, a part of the younger age groups in the catches increased. The likeness of the cod sizes in the present period with those of the individuals of the same age caught in 1949–1980 and the significant decrease of the sizes as compared with those observed in 1981–1993 are observed. It is possible to suppose that the present decrease of indices of cod growth is connected with an increase of its numbers. A selective effect of the trawl fishery withdrawing in the first place the quick-growing individuals can be another factor that determined the decrease of body sizes of the fishes of the same age.

Reaction of 2-acetamido-3-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)aminonaphthalene with phosphorus oxychloride leads to the formation of 2-methyl-1-(2-chloroethyl)naphtho[2,3-d]imidazole, while reaction with hydrobromic acid gives naphtho[23-b]-1,4-diozabicyclo[2.2.2]octane in 13% yield. The yield of the latter can be increased to 45% by exchange of the hydroxyl groups in the starting material by chlorine and by deacetylation.

Plasmic, platelet and fibrinolytic components of hemostasis were studied in 115 patients with severe viral hepatitis C transmitted fecally and orally. Most informative for determination of the disease severity and prognosis of onset of acute hepatic encephalopathy within 1-2 days were plasmic factor II, V, VII, X. In genesis of hemorrhagic syndrome of importance is procoagulant deficiency as a result of detective synthesis and consumption due to DIC syndrome rather than platelet disorder. In addition to procoagulant disorders there were low levels of plasminogen and its inhibitors changing with the disease severity.

For the transformation of the yeast Hansenula polymorpha we have constructed a set of hybrid plasmids carrying the LEU2 gene of Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a selective marker and fragments of mitochondrial DNA of Candida utilis and H. polymorpha or chromosomal DNA fragments of H. polymorpha as replicator sequences. The replication properties of chimeric plasmids in the yeast H. polymorpha were investigated. We showed that for plasmids propagated autonomously in this yeast the plasmid monomers could be detected in the transformants only during the immediate time after the transformation event. Further growth under selective conditions led to the selection of polymeric forms of plasmid DNA as it was clearly shown for transformants carrying cosmid pL2 with mtDNA fragment of C. utilis. Such transformants carrying polymerized plasmids showed a remarkably increased stability of the transformed phenotype. Cosmid pL2 was able to shuttle between Escherichia coli, S. cerevisiae and H. polymorpha, whereas plasmids with DNA fragments from H. polymorpha did not transform S. cerevisiae effectively.

A decrease in the capacity of lymphocytes for rosette formation, accompanied by a rise in the leukocyte count, has been found in patients with the severe form of hepatitis non A, non B. Neutrophils in these patients have shown a tendency towards an increased rosette formation. All altered characteristics normalized by the period of convalescence. As noted in this investigation, a considerable increase in the leukocyte count, along with an increase in the number of active rosette-forming neutrophils and a decrease in the capacity of leukocytes for rosette formation, is an unfavorable sign predicting the possibility of acute hepatic encephalopathy.

The paper is concerned with an analysis of clinico-biochemical indices and 14 parameters of the plasmatic and platelet links of hemostasis in 29 patients with acute virus hepatitis of a varying degree of severity treated by hyperbaric oxygenation and in 40 controls. HBO made a modulating effect on most indices of hemocoagulation and fibrinolysis bringing them nearer to a certain standard which was optimum for a certain stage and degree of AVH. Probable mechanisms of the HBO effect on various indices of homeostasis in AVH and clinico-pathogenetic importance of the state of hemocoagulation against a background of HBO-therapy were discussed.

The feasibility of determining steroids in yeast, fungi, and the products of irradiation of ergosterol by a gas liquid chromatographic method is demonstrated. The optimum conditions found for the separation of the main substances formed during the irradiation of ergosterol and their retention volumes are given.
