This work addresses gender dimension and other diversity aspects in warfare, including gender bias in data collection, to go beyond mainstream approaches in policymaking and to infuse gender awareness into conceptual models in international security affairs, according to the elements of a gender-responsive approach to arms control identified by the UN Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR). Gender perspective, based on the resource pack developed by the International Gender Champions (ICG) Disarmament Impact Group helps to shed light on the direct and reverberating impacts of warfare on women, men, girls and boys, such as the likelihood of being targeted by and the long-lasting biological and physiological impacts. focusing on analyzing sex and gender specific effects of emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs). In the 3GPP LTE Release 13, NB-IoT was standardized to provide wide-area connectivity for IoT. To optimize network signaling and power consumption, control plane (CP) optimization was introduced. In Release 15, to support infrequent small data transmissions, Early Data Transmission (EDT) was also included, in which the data are sent during the random access procedure. Thus, this paper analyses the latency performance of the different NB-IoT optimizations for the CP. The study, carried out in a real device, has been performed for different packet sizes and coverage levels. Evaluation results show lower latencies for EDT, particularly with small packets, where a reduced transport block is used, being more efficient from a network point of view. Additionally, we verify that EDT, unlike Release 13 optimization, fulfills 3GPP latency requirement for extreme coverage. Одним из критериев акустического качества концертных залов является время раннего спада EDT – время спада уровня звукового давления в процессе реверберации на 10 дБ от момента начала спада. На этом временном участке в основном формируется атака звучания музыкальных инструментов и приходят первые отражения. Ряд специалистов считают EDT одним из наиболее репрезентативных критериев. В работе проведен анализ данных о EDT в филармонических залах, считающихся эталонными по акустике (Musikverein в Вене, Concertgebouw в Амстердаме, Берлинская филармония и др.). Выявлен большой разброс значений EDT, в т.ч. выходящих за пределы рекомендованных «оптимальных» диапазонов (рекомендации разных авторов существенно отличаются, порой противореча друг другу). Корреляция между EDT и стандартным временем реверберации RT60 достигает 0.95, что свидетельствует о взаимозависимости этих критериев. Обсуждавшееся в публикациях соотношение между EDT и RT60 (EDT, One of the criteria for the acoustic quality of concert halls is the EDT (Early decline time), i.e. the sound pressure level decay time during reverberation by 10 dB from the moment the decay begins. Data on EDT are analyzed for philharmonic halls considered as acoustically successful (Musikverein in Vienna, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Berlin Philharmonic, etc.). A large dispersion of EDT values was revealed, including those that go beyond the recommended "optimal" ranges (the recommendations of different authors differ significantly, sometimes contradicting each other). The correlation between EDT and standard reverberation time RT60 reaches 0.95, indicating the interdependence of these criteria. The relationship between EDT and RT60 (EDT < RT60) for the selected rooms is not confirmed. At the same time, the RT60 for reference halls varies within small limits and does not go beyond the recommended values. This calls into question the representativeness of the EDT criterion for concert halls and indicates the need for further analysis of its practice.

El objetivo propuesto por esta investigación consiste en el desarrollo de un marco de referencia para la aplicación de buenas prácticas asociadas al uso de la Estructura de Desglose del Trabajo (EDT) en los grupos de procesos de planificación, ejecución, monitoreo y control y cierre de la gestión de proyectos eléctricos en el sector industrial de forma exitosa. Para lograr este objetivo, a través de una revisión bibliográfica se describe un marco conceptual, acompañado del estado del arte referente a la gestión de proyectos y exposición de la EDT como pieza fundamental para la mejora de los datos estadísticos en cuanto al éxito de estos. Se diseña, ejecuta, analiza y valida una encuesta que busca identificar el grado de penetración y aplicación de la EDT en la industria, y que finalmente permita, apoyándose de otras investigaciones y cuerpos de conocimiento, desarrollar una guía ágil para la correcta utilización y gestión de la EDT y la formulación de una EDT tipo para el sector eléctrico industrial que ayudara a gestionar proyectos éxitos. Esta investigación se desarrolla a través de un enfoque cualitativo en cuatro fases principales directamente alineados con los objetivos los específicos planteados anteriormente, buscando caracterizar los fenómenos asociados a la aplicación de la EDT en el entorno industrial. El instrumento utilizado para la recopilación de la información consiste en una encuesta aplicada exitosamente a 26 personas que contaban con el perfil idóneo para la realización de la encuesta, es decir, que tenían cierto grado de experiencia en la gestión de proyectos eléctricos dentro del sector industrial. Donde se pudo identificar que el 53% de los gestores de proyectos tienden a no hacer uso de la EDT como una de sus herramientas debido al desconocimiento (71,4%) o por complacencia (21,4%) impactando así, de acuerdo con la percepción de los encuestados elementos críticos como el alcance, cronograma y costo de los proyectos. En este mismo sentido se propone entonces una herramienta ágil, simple y adaptable a cada necesidad que permita comprender y afianzar la gestión de la EDT a lo largo de todo el ciclo de vida del proyecto esperando aumentar las probabilidades de éxito de los proyectos relacionados. Este modelo busca entonces obtener todo el potencial expuesto por la EDT de forma ágil y lograr así mejorar la satisfacción de los interesados con resultados alineados directamente con los objetivos del proyecto.

This paper explores the acoustics of three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: five caves in Spain that feature prehistoric paintings that are up to 40,000 years old, Stonehenge stone circle in England, which is over 4000 years old, and Paphos Theatre in Cyprus, which is 2000 years old. Issues with standard acoustic methods are discussed, and a range of different possible approaches are explored for sound archaeology studies, also known as archaeoacoustics. The context of the three sites are examined followed by an analysis of their acoustic properties. Firstly, early decay time is explored, including a comparison of these sites to contemporary concert halls. Subsequently, reverberation, clarity of speech, and bass response are examined. Results show that the caves have a wide range of different naturally occurring acoustics, including reverberation, and strong bass effects. Stonehenge has acoustics that change as the design of the site develops, with some similarities to the effects in the caves. Acoustic effects vary considerably as you move further into the centre of the stone circle, and as the stone circle develops through time, these effects would be noticeable, and are a by-product of the human building of ritual sites. At Paphos Theatre, acoustics vary from the best seats on the front rows, backwards, here, the architects have considered acoustics in the design of the building. The paper illustrates the changing acoustics of ritual sites in human cultures, showing how sound contributed to giving spaces an individual character, helping to afford a sense of contextualized ritual place.

La presente tesina pretende explorar las actitudes expresadas frente a la comunidad LGBT en las dos series de televisión, Élite y Vivir sin permiso, y cómo dichas actitudes se trasladan a los subtítulos en noruego. Esta tesina también pretende averiguar tendencias de la traducción de las actitudes mencionadas en los subtítulos. Las dos series presentan varias actitudes frente a la comunidad LGBT, en algunos casos incluso con violencia física. El marco teórico-metodológico de esta tesina cualitativa consiste en los estudios descriptivos de traducción (EDT) presentados en Toury (1995) y el análisis crítico del discurso (ACD) descrito en van Dijk (1999) (2009). Las actitudes frente a la comunidad LGBT (incluso la homofobia) se analizan a través de los discursos, la semántica y los elementos sintácticos. El análisis confirma que la presencia influyente de un personaje colombiano afecta la constitución de los discursos de temática LGBT en la serie de televisión Vivir sin permiso tanto en el texto de partido como en el texto de llegada. Contando con la presencia de este personaje, los subtítulos indican una tendencia vaga de la presentación más positiva de las actitudes expresadas frente a la comunidad LGBT que el texto de partida. Omitiendo los numerosos enunciados de este personaje los resultados indican una tendencia vaga de la presentación más negativa de las actitudes expresadas frente a la comunidad LGBT en los subtítulos.

A perda do controle de tronco devido a hemiplegia após o AVC, causa diversas dificuldades e é sabido que o tronco tem papel fundamental no controle do equilíbrio, do controle postural e dos membros durante atividades funcionais e que a musculatura da região abdominal tem uma perda notável de atividade e tônus após o AVC, porém, muitas vezes os programas de reabilitação não dão devida importância a esta alteração e também há escassez na literatura em relação a esse assunto específico. Objetivo: Avaliar a capacidade preditiva dos dados clínicos e funcionais de pacientes pós AVC quanto ao controle motor do tronco. Material e Métodos: Estudo prospectivo, coorte, com pacientes de ambos os sexos, idade maior ou igual a 18 anos, com diagnóstico de AVC isquêmico há no máximo um ano. Os pacientes foram avaliados em relação a cognição através do Mini Exame do Estado Mental, em relação a independência funcional através da Medida de Independência Funcional e do Índice de Barthel em relação ao estado funcional através da Escala de Rankin Modificada e do National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) e em relação a qualidade de vida através do EuroQol 5-D. Também foram realizados os testes de preensão palmar (Dinamometria de mão), função de tronco (Escala de deficiência de tronco - EDT, equilíbrio e marcha (Escala de mobilidade e equilíbrio de Tinetti). Os dados apresentaram-se em média e desvio padrão e as que não seguiram a normalidade, foram descritos pela mediana e intervalos interqualíticos. Os participantes foram divididos em controle motor de tronco satisfatório e não satisfatório pela mediana da EDT, nas variáveis categóricas foi usado Teste Qui quadrado e as variáveis contínuas foram analisadas pelo teste t ou Mann-Whitney, posteriormente, foi construída uma curva ROC. Resultados: Foram avaliados 37 pacientes com idade média de 62,6 ± 11,8 anos, com NIHSS de alta (p= 0,01) e Rankin de alta (p= 0,00) estatisticamente significantes. Embora as outras análises não tenham sido estatisticamente significantes, pudemos observar que os melhores resultados dos testes e escalas foram obtidos nos pacientes classificados com controle motor de tronco satisfatório. Conclusão: Conclui-se que, a pontuação maior no NIHSS e no Rankin de alta, podem ser considerados preditores para um controle motor de tronco não satisfatório e quanto melhor o controle motor de tronco, melhor a capacidade funcional dos pacientes que tiveram AVC. Introduction: Among cerebrovascular diseases, Stroke is considered the second cause of death in Brazil, besides being the main cause of neurological dysfunction in adults. The loss of trunk control due to hemiplegia after stroke causes several difficulties. It’s known that the trunk plays a fundamental role in the control of balance, of postural control and limbs during functional activities and that the musculature of the abdominal region has a remarkable loss of activity and tone after stroke. However, this fact is often not given due importance by rehabilitation programs with few scales of evaluation and also specific treatment protocol. Objective: To evaluate the predictive capacity of the clinical and functional data of post-stroke patients regarding trunk motor control. Material and methods: A prospective study, cohort, with patients of both sexes, age greater than or equal to 18 years, with diagnosis of ischemic stroke, in the 1 year period, in the Technical Section of Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu. After signing the Term of Free and Informed Consent, the patients answered questionnaires to assess cognition (Mini-Mental State Examination), functional independence (Modified Rankin Scale National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)) and quality of life (EuroQol 5-D) and performed palmar grip tests, trunk function (Trunk impairment scale-TIS), balance and gait (Tinetti mobility and balance scale).The data are presented in mean and standard deviation and those that did not follow normal, were by the median and interqualitic intervals. Participants were divided into satisfactory and unsatisfactory trunk motor control by the median of TIS. In the categorical variables Chi-square test was used and continuous variables were analyzed by the t-test or Mann-Whitney test. Results: 37 patients with mean age of 62.6 ± 11.8 years, with high NIHSS (p = 0.01) and high Rankin (p = 0.00). Although the other analyzes were not statistically significant, we observed that the best results of the tests and scales were obtained in patients classified with satisfactory trunk motor control. Conclusion: Conclusion: It is concluded that the higher score in the NIHSS and in the high Rankin, can be considered predictors for an unsatisfactory motor motor control and the better the motor motor control, the better the functional capacity of patients who had a stroke.

En el siguiente trabajo se encuentra el análisis de planeación y ejecución de un proyecto de telecomunicaciones que tiene como objetivo la simulación de Instalación y despliegue de servidores DPI y software Tariff Builder en ambiente productivo, para la creación de ofertas personalizadas dirigidas al segmento prepago de un operador móvil. Durante el transcurso del proyecto se examina las diferentes etapas de la planeación como lo son: la definición del alcance, la estructura de desglose del trabajo , los tiempos de ejecución para las diferentes etapas del proyecto y así mismo los costos asociados a cada una de estas etapas. Se analiza la distribución de los recursos humanos y los riesgos que puede presentar en el proyecto, finalizando se simulan diferentes comportamientos en las etapas mencionadas anteriormente para su respectivos análisis y conclusiones. .
