In the field of neural tissue engineering, intensive efforts are being made to develop tissue scaffolds that can support an effective functional recovery and neural development by guiding damaged axons and neurites. Micro/nano-channeled conductive biomaterials are considered a promising approach for repairing the injured neural tissues. Many studies have demonstrated that the micro/nano-channels and aligned nanofibers could guide the neurites to extend along the direction of alignment. However, an ideal biocompatible scaffold containing conductive arrays that could promote effective neural stem cell differentiation and development, and also stimulate high neurite guidance has not been fully developed. In the current study, we aimed to fabricate micro/nano-channeled polycaprolactone (PCL)/Poly-D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) hybrid film scaffolds, decorate their surfaces with IKVAV pentapeptide/gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), and investigate the behavior of PC12 cells and neural stem cells (NSCs) on the developed biomaterial under static/bioreactor conditions. Here we show that channeled groups decorated with AuNPs highly promote neurite outgrowth and neuronal differentiation along linear lines in the presence of electrical stimulation, compared with the polypyrrole (PPy) coating, which has been used traditionally for many years. Hopefully, this newly developed channeled scaffold structure (PCL/PLGA-AuNPs-IKVAV) could help to support long-distance axonal regeneration and neuronal development after different neural damages.

06.03.2018 tarihli ve 30352 sayılı Resmi Gazetede yayımlanan “Yükseköğretim Kanunu İle Bazı Kanun Ve Kanun Hükmünde Kararnamelerde Değişiklik Yapılması Hakkında Kanun” ile 18.06.2018 tarihli “Lisansüstü Tezlerin Elektronik Ortamda Toplanması, Düzenlenmesi ve Erişime Açılmasına İlişkin Yönerge” gereğince tam metin erişime açılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, poli(2-aminotiyofenol) polimeri sentezlenerek Fourier Transform Infrared Spektrometresi, termal analiz ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu ile yapısı ve yüzey analizi, potansiyometrik titrasyon ile protonlanma davranışı ve asitlik sabitleri tayin edilmiştir. P-ATF polimeri ile sulu çözeltilerden altın (Au(III)), gümüş (Ag(I)), ve rodyum (Rh(III)) iyonları adsorpsiyonuna asitliğin etkisi kesikli adsorpsiyonla incelenmiştir. Au(III) ve Ag(I) iyonları adsorpsiyonuna başlangıç konsantrasyonu etkisi, sıcaklığın etkisi kesikli adsorpsiyon ile incelenmiştir. Ayrıca daha rijit ve geçirgen bir polimer elde etmek için polimer PVC ile hamur haline getirilmiş ve kolon dolgu maddesi olarak kullanılarak Fe(III), Cu(II) ve Ni(II) iyonları yanında Au(III) ve Ag(I) iyonlarına seçiciliği incelenmiştir. Asitliğin etkisinin incelendiği çalışmalarda p-ATF polimerinin maksimum adsorpsiyon yaptığı asitlik seviyesi Au(III) iyonları için 3 M HCl konsantrasyonu olarak bulunmuş, Ag(I) iyonlarının maksimum adsorplandığı asitlik 1 M HNO3 konsantrasyonunda olduğu bulunmuştur. Ancak Ag(I) adsorpsiyonunda asitliğin fazla etkili olmadığı, ve 3 M ve pH 5 asitlik aralığında herhangi bir asitlik ortamında çalışılabileceği görülmüştür. Adsorpsiyon verileri Langmuir, Freundlich ve Dubinin–Radushkevich (D-R) izotermlerine uygulanmıştır. Au(III) ve Ag(I) adsorpsiyon verilerinin Langmuir adsorpsiyon izotermine uyduğu bulunmuştur. Adsorpsiyon kapasiteleri Au(III) ve Ag(I) iyonları için sırasıyla 41,67 mg/g ve 71,94 mg/g olarak Langmuir izoterminden hesaplanmıştır. Yapılan kinetik çalışmalarında her iki metal iyonu için adsorpsiyonun pseudo ikinci mertebe (yalancı ikinci mertebe) kinetik modeline uygun olduğu bulunmuştur. Au(III) ve Ag(I) adsorpsiyonlarının termodinamik çalışmaları yapılmış ve her bir adsorpsiyon için serbest enerjideki değişim (ΔG°), entalpi (ΔH°) ve entropi (ΔS°) değerlerinin yanı sıra reaksiyonların aktivasyon enerjileri de hesaplanmıştır. P-ATF polimeri üzerine Au(III) ve Ag(I) iyonları adsorpsiyonunun çalışılan sıcaklıklarda istemli yürüdüğü belirlenmiştir. P-ATF polimeri üzerine Rh(III) iyonu adsorpsiyonu oldukça düşük (1,75 mg/g) ve yavaş gerçekleştiği için efektif ve ekonomik olmadığı bulunmuştur. Yapılan kolon çalışmalarında, p-ATF polimerinin Fe(III), Cu(II) ve Ni(II) iyonları yanında Au(III) ve Ag(I) iyonlarına seçici olduğu ve seçimli olarak ayırma ve ön zenginleştirme işlemlerinde kullanılabileceği görülmüştür. In this study, poly(2-aminothiophenol) (p-ATP) polymer was synthesized and studied thoroughly. Its structure was analyzed through Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer and thermogravimetric analysis / differential thermal analysis, whereas its structure and surface analysis was performed by scanning electron microscobe and its protonating behavior and acidity constant were determined by potentiometric titration method. The effect of acidity on the adsorption of gold (Au(III)), silver (Ag(I)), and rhodium (Rh(III)) ions in aqueous solution on p-ATP polymer was examined using batch method. The influences of initial concentration and temperature on Au(III) and Ag(I) ion adsorption were scrutinized by batch method. Furthermore, to obtain a more rigid and selective polymer, it was kneaded with PVC, and using it as a column stuffing material, its selectivity of Fe(III), Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions along with Au(III) ve Ag(I) was studied. The optimum acidity level for Au(III) ions was determined as 3 M HCl, where p-ATP polymer reached maximum adsorption, whereas this value was found to be 1 M HNO3 for Ag(I) ions. However, acidity was found less effective in Ag(I) adsorption and any acidity conditions between 3 M and pH 5 was suitable for analysis. The adsorption data were applied to Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin–Radushkevich (D-R) isotherm models. It was observed that Au(III) and Ag(I) adsorption data accommodated more efficiently to The Langmuir isotherm than The Freundlich and The D-R isotherms. The adsorption capacities for Au(III) and Ag(I) ions were calculated as 41.67 mg/g and 71.94 mg/g, respectively. In the kinetic studies, the adsorption values of both metals were found to fit pseudo second order model. Furthermore thermodynamics of Au(III) and Ag(I) adsorptions were studied. For each adsorption, Gibbs free energy change (ΔG°), enthalpy (ΔH°), entropy (ΔS°) values, and activation energies of reactions were calculated. Adsorptions of Au(III) and Ag(I) on p-ATP polymer occurred spontaneously and feasibly at the temperatures studied in the experiments. As Rh(III) ion adsorption on p-ATP polymer was extremely low (1.75 mg/g) and took place slowly, an effective and economical selectivity through this method could not be obtained. In the column studies, p-ATP was found to be selective, for Au(III) and Ag(I) ions over Fe(III), Cu(II) and Ni(II) base metal ions. Therefore, p-ATP was suggested as a feasible polymer to be used in selective separation and pre-concentration studies.

Bu çalışmada, 1,8?diaminonaftalen?formaldehit (1,8?DAN?F) polimeri sentezlenmiş ve %25 oranında 1,8-DAN-F polimeri PVC ile THF çözücüsü kullanarak hamur haline getirilmiştir. 1,8-DAN-F/PVC polimeri ile çözeltilerden kesikli ve sürekli metotla altın(III) iyonlarının adsorpsiyon özellikleri incelenmiştir. Sentezlenen polimerin yapısı FTIR analizi ile belirlenmiştir.Sentezlenen 1,8?DAN?F/PVC polimeri ile Au(III) iyonlarının adsorpsiyonunda asitlik etkisi incelenmiş ve optimum asitlik değerinin pH=1 olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca Au(III) iyonlarının başlangıç konsantrasyonunun etkisi ve Fe(III), Cu(II) ve Ni(II) iyonları yanındaki seçicilik şartları incelenmiştir. Adsorpsiyon verileri Langmuir ve Freundlich izotermlerine uygulanmıştır. In the present work, 1,8-diaminonaphthalene-formaldehyde (1,8-DAN-F) polymer was synthesized by the reaction of 1,8-DAN with formaldehyde solution and 1,8-DAN-F polymer in the ratio of 25% was mixtured with PVC using THF solvent. 1,8-DAN-F/PVC polimer was used for selective separation and recovery of Au(III) ions using batch and column methods. The structure of 1,8-DAN-F polymer was examined by FTIR analysis.The effects of pH level and initial concentration on the adsorption of Au(III) ions were examined. The optimum pH level was found to be 1 for the adsorption. This data obtained from the adsorption studies at different initial concentrations were applied to the Langmuir and Freundlich isoterms. It was seen that the adsorption data fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm. The maximum adsorption capacity of the 1,8-DAN-F/PVC polymer for Au(III) ions was found to be 119,04 mg/g.In the column studies, it was examined the seperation of Au(III) ions from Fe(III), Cu(II) and Ni(II) ions. The studies showed that Au(III) ions could be separated and concentrated from the base metal ions. 71
