Com o crescente aumento em relação às alterações climáticas é importante perceber o que leva os consumidores a optarem por alternativas verdes. Especificamente, o que leva os consumidores a comprarem veículos ecológicos. Dado que uma das indústrias que mais contribui para a poluição ambiental é o setor dos transportes, estes veículos são fundamentais pois têm um impacto mais positivo no meio ambiente. Desta forma, através de um questionário realizado à população portuguesa tentou perceber-se quais os principais fatores que levam os consumidores a optarem por estes veículos, qual o veículo ecológico preferível, se estão interessados num veículo movido a hidrogénio e se pertencer à geração Z tem algum impacto na preferência por estes veículos. De forma a estudar-se os fatores que afetam a compra destes veículos teve-se em conta as seguintes teorias: TAM, DOI, NAM e TPB. As respostas ao questionário levaram-nos a concluir que o que influencia a intenção de compra (que levará à compra) é a atitude – influenciada pelas vantagens, compatibilidade e não complexidade destes veículos - e as normas pessoais – influenciadas pela eficácia percebida. Adicionalmente o veículo preferido da amostra é o veículo elétrico híbrido e, também, consideram o veículo movido a hidrogénio nas suas opções. Por fim, o facto de pertencer à geração Z não tem efeito na intenção de compra, no entanto, diferentes gerações apresentam diferentes variáveis significativas que afetam a intenção de compra. Na geração X é a atitude que desenvolvem em relação a este tipo de veículos e na geração Z são as vantagens do mesmo e a atribuição de responsabilidade. With the consistent growth regarding climate change it is important to understand what make consumers opt for green options. Precisely, what make consumers buy ecological vehicles. Knowing that one of the industries that contributes the most for pollution is transportation, this type of vehicles is a game changing regarding their impact on the environment. Moreover, through a questionnaire available for the Portuguese population we tried to understand which factors affects the most the purchase of ecological vehicles, which one is the most preferable, if hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles are one of the options and if there is any impact if someone belongs to Gen Z. To study the factors that affect the intention of purchase we based our research model on the following theories: TAM, DOI, NAM and TPB. Our research concludes that attitude (influenced by the advantages, compatibility, and non-complexity) and personal norms (influenced by the efficiency) are the two factors that affect positive and significantly the intention of purchase. Additionally, the preferable ecological vehicle between the participants is the hybrid electrical vehicle and they also consider the hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle as an option. Finally, belonging to Gen Z does not have any effect regarding the intention of purchasing it, but different generations value different factors. For Gen X what affects the most the intention of purchase is attitude while for Gen Z is the advantages and the responsibility.

In permanent-magnet motors used for vehicle traction application a well-known problem is the need to weaken the flux at high speeds. This is generally done by injecting a suitable demagnetizing current along the d axis. An alternative method has been recently proposed by the authors based on an Interior-Permanent-Magnet (IPM) synchronous motor equipped with a mechanical device which activates at high speeds by centrifugal force causing a significant reduction in the permanent magnet flux with no need for injecting d-axis stator currents. The performance of a road vehicle traction drive employing this machine under a maximum-torque-per-ampere control is investigated in this paper assuming a typical driving cycle. It is shown that remarkable benefits can be achieved in terms of energy saving, overload capability enhancement and speed range extension potential.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to give an overview of the design issues of permanent magnet machines for the hybrid electric and plug‐in electric vehicles, including railway traction and naval propulsion.Design/methodology/approach – Focus is given on both synchronous permanent magnet and reluctance machines. An overview of the design rules are provided, covering the topics of: fractional‐slot windings, fault‐tolerant configurations, flux‐weakening capability, and torque quality.Findings – The peculiarities of these machines and the advanced design considerations to fit the automotive requirements are analyzed.Originality/value – The paper includes a wide description of innovative electrical machines for electric vehicles, including not only the traction capability, but also analysis of features as weight reduction, torque ripple reduction, increase of fault tolerance, and so on.

Zaradi današnjega hitrega tempa življenja, ljudje ob svojem prostem času vedno raje obiščemo kraje kjer si lahko v prenesenem pomenu napolnimo baterije. Občani mesta Celja imamo v bližini že 40 let umetno jezero, katerega nikoli nismo popolnoma izkoristili. Da bi se to spremenilo, je v zadnjih letih Mestna občina Celje začela urejati okolico Šmartinskega jezera in po njihovih prostorskih planih ima občina namen v bližnji prihodnosti jezero spremeniti v zanimivo turistično točko. Lahko predvidevamo, da se bo obiskanost jezera bistveno povečala in potencialno tudi onesnaženost okolja zaradi prometa. Da bi to onesnaženje zmanjšali na relativni minimum v diplomski nalogi predstavljamo projekt ureditve javnega potniškega prometa na območju Šmartinskega jezera. Ureditev temelji na treh oblikah prevoza in sicer avtobusni prevoz iz mesta Celja do Šmartinskega jezera, vožnja s turističnim vlakcem okoli Šmartinskega jezera in vožnja s turistično ladjico po Šmartinskem jezeru. Za vse tri oblike prevoza smo poiskali alternativne vire energije. Because of today's fast tempo of life, people at their free time more often want to visit places where they can relax and enjoy. Near city of Celje there is an artificial lake, which never reached its full potential. Municipality of Celje wants to change this, so they started in last few years to regulate surrounding area of the lake and in the near future they want to arrange this lake into an attractive tourist location. It can be assumed that the number of visitors of the lake will significantly increase and this would potentially result in the environmental pollution caused by the traffic. In order to theoretically minimize this form of pollution, we present the project of organization of public passenger transport in the area of Šmartinsko Lake. The idea is based on three forms of transport, at first there is bus transport from Celje to the lake, at second there is journey with a tourist train around the lake and at third way of transport is sailing along the lake with tourist boat. For all three forms of transport the goal is to find alternative, green sources of energy.

Purpose – To purpose of this paper is to introduce a procedure to compute the d‐ and q‐axis parameters of the induction motor.Design/methodology/approach – A finite element procedure, based on the d‐ and q‐axis model of the induction motor is adopted.Findings – Such a procedure is well suited to analyse IM with anisotropic rotor, where an intentionally created saliency is introduced in the rotor bar geometry, so as to detect the IM rotor position without sensor.Originality/value – The proposed procedure allows one to evaluate the sensorless control capability of the IM. It will be useful for both analysis of the IM performance and design of the machine itself.
