Mehanoluminiscence (ML) ir spontāna gaismas emisija mehāniskas mijiedarbības rezultātā. Kaut gan efekts tika atklāts simtiem gadu atpakaļ, tas neatrada plašu, praktisku pielietojumu. Tomēr pētījumi norāda uz to, ka ML varētu tikt pielietota mehāniskā sprieguma sensoru izveidei. Viens no limitējošajiem faktoriem ML plašai pielietošanai ir šaurais izpētīto materiālu klāsts, kuriem piemīt intensīva un pašatjaunojama luminiscence. Pēdējos gados strauji pieaug ar lantanīdiem leģētu materiālu pētījumu skaits, kuri gan paaugstina materiālu luminiscences intensitāti, gan paplašina ar ML iegūstamo emisijas viļņa garumu diapazonu. Darba mērķis ir izveidot mērījumu sistēmu un veikt mehanoluminiscenta materiāla izpēti., Mechanoluminescence (ML) is a spontaneous emission of light occurring during mechanical interactions. Although the effect has been known for hundreds of years, it has yet found a practical implication. Recent advances in the field of ML have displayed the potential of the effect to be used in creation of next generation of strain sensors. However, limited range of intensive and self-regenerating ML materials has hindered further advances. Nowadays the amount of new lanthanide activated ML materials with increased intensity and colour range is growing rapidly. Main goal of this work is to create a measurement system and to study a mechanoluminescent material.

Darbā pētītas ar hromu aktivēta alumīnija oksīda dozimetriskās īpašības. Paraugi tika sagatavoti izmantojot Sol-Gel daļiņu sintēzes metodi. Darba galvenais mērķis ir pielāgot materiālu dozimetriskiem nolūkiem. Izveidotajiem paraugiem tika pētītas morfoloģiskās, optiskās un dozimetriskās īpašības. Rezultātā noteikta optimālā hroma oksīda koncentrācija un materiāla TSL intensitātes atkarības no apstarošanas laika, kā arī noteikts uzkrātā starojuma dozas linearitātes apgabals. Lineāra reakcija uz apstarošanas laiku novērota no 1 līdz 60 apstarošanas minūtēm ar rentgenu. Pētījumu rezultāti norāda, ka materiālam piemīt vērā ņemams potenciāls tikt izmantotam dozimetrisku materiālu izveidē. Darbā iegūtos rezultātus var izmantot materiāla sintēzes un aktivācijas koncentrācijas tālākai optimizācijai, kā arī, lai uzlabotu morfoloģiskās īpašības un reakciju uz jonizējošā starojuma dozu., Dosimetric properties of chromium doped alumina were explored. Samples were synthesized using sol-gel method. Main goal of this work was to create a promising material for use as ionizing radiation dosimeter. Morphologic, optical and dosimetric properties of prepared samples were explored. Optimal chrome concentration, TSL intensity dependence of irradiation time and linear response region were determined. Linear response to X-ray irradiation from 1 to 60 minutes was observed. Results show that the chromium doped alumina has meaningful potential to be used as a dosimeter. Results from this work can be used for further optimization of activator concentration and synthesis parameters in order to improve morphological and doze response properties.
