Australian investment firm Babcock & Brown Capital Ltd., which acquired Irish telephone company Eircom PLC in August 2006, is attempting to restructure the company in a new way. Eircom's cable and phone line networks would be separated from the operations that sell services, potentially leading to an increase of billions of dollars of revenue across Europe.
