This paper presents an optimal allocation methodology of photovoltaic distributed generations (PVDGs) with Volt/Var control based on Automatic Voltage Regulations (AVRs) in active distribution networks considering the non-dispatchable mode of PVDG operation. In the proposed methodology, an intelligent coordinated Var control is activated via controlling the AVR tap position and the Var injection of PV inverters to achieve a compromise between reducing active and reactive power losses and enhancing voltage quality in a distribution network. Also, the scheduled power factor mode of operation is investigated for the PV inverters. Added to that, the proposed allocation methodology is handled on the basis of hourly loading variation under simultaneous control modes of PV inverters and AVR. Moreover, the impacts of the specified number of PVDGs are assessed on the distribution system's performance. A recent effective optimizer of the slim mold algorithm (SMA) is dedicated to solving the proposed optimization framework. The simulation implementations are executed on a practical distribution network of the Kafr Rabea area related to South Delta Electricity Company in Egypt. Also, the application is conducted for a large-scale distribution network from the metropolitan area of Caracas. Very recently, several novel conceptions of fractional derivatives have been proposed and employed to develop numerical simulations for a wide range of real-world configurations with memory, background, or non-local effects via an uncertainty parameter [0, 1] as a confidence degree of belief. Under the complexities of the uncertainty parameter, the major goal of this paper is to develop and examine the Atangana-Baleanu derivative in the Caputo sense for a convoluted glucose-insulin regulating mechanism that possesses a memory and enables one to recall all foreknowledge. However, as compared to other existing derivatives, this is a vitally important point, and the convenience of employing this derivative lessens the intricacy of numerical findings. The Atangana-Baleanu derivative in the Caputo sense of fuzzy valued functions (FVF) in parameterized interval representation is established initially in this study. Then, it is leveraged to demonstrate that the existence and uniqueness of solutions were verified using the theorem suggesting the Banach fixed point and Lipschitz conditions under generalized Hukuhara differentiability. In order to explore the regulation of plasma glucose in diabetic patients with impulsive insulin injections and by monitoring the glucose level that returns to normal in a finite amount of time, we propose an impulsive differential equation model. It is a deterministic mathematical framework that is connected to diabetes mellitus and fractional derivatives. The framework for this research and simulations was numerically solved using a numerical approach based on the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton technique. The current paper presents a multi‐objective manta ray foraging algorithm (MO‐MRFA) for efficient operation of hybrid AC and multi‐terminal direct current (MTDC) power grids. The multi‐objective framework aims at achieving economical, technical and environmental benefits by minimising the total production fuel costs, minimising the transmission power losses and minimising the environmental emissions in the AC/MTDC transmission systems. The MRFA imitates three separate independent foraging organisations of the manta rays. It is updated incorporating an additional Pareto archive to preserve the non‐dominated solutions. A dynamic adaptation of the fitness feature is employed by iteratively varying the form of the employed fitness function. Furthermore, a fuzzy decision‐making technique is activated to finally pick the appropriate operating point of the AC/MTDC power grids. The proposed technique is compared with other reported algorithms in the literatures. The applications are conducted on three test systems. These systems are IEEE 30‐bus, IEEE 57‐bus test power systems in addition to real part of the Egyptian grid at West Delta region. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed MO‐MRFA has great effectiveness and robustness indices over the others. Nevertheless, the proposed MO‐MRFA is successfully extracting several Pareto solutions that meet the techno‐economic requirements with accepted environmental concerns. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
