The COVID pandemic has 0drastically changed the functioning of universities in Spain and may have altered individuals’ behaviours and emotions, the way they engage in the learning process and their psychological well-being. Burnout syndrome is a psychological problem that arises from persistent confrontation with emotional and interpersonal stressors. COVID-related burnout among Spanish students has received little research attention. For this study, a pre-post cohort study design was used. Data were collected using the Maslach Burnout Inventory—Student Survey, the Granada Burnout Questionnaire for university students, the UtrechtWork Engagement Scale and the Fear of CoronaVirus-19 scale. The population was composed of two samples of 190 and 226 students from Spanish universities. According to the results obtained, significant differences were observed between the pre- and post-test samples. Levels of burnout were higher after the COVID-19 pandemic and students’ levels of engagement have dropped significantly following their experiences of the COVID pandemic. This study shows the impact that the covid pandemic has had on Spanish university students, impacts which may have had important consequences for their mental and physical health. It is necessary to implement intervention programs to enable students to recover, at least, the levels of burnout and engagement prevailing before the outbreak of the pandemic., Junta de Andalucia P20_00627

Burnout in the primary care service takes place when there is a high level of interaction between nurses and patients. Explanatory models based on psychological and personality related variables provide an approximation to level changes in the three dimensions of the burnout syndrome. A categorical-response ordinal logistic regression model, based on a quantitative, crosscutting, multicentre, descriptive study with 242 primary care nurses in the Andalusian Health Service in Granada (Spain) is performed for each dimension. The three models included all the variables related to personality. The risk factor friendliness was significant at population level for the three dimensions, whilst openness was never significant. Neuroticism was significant in the models related to emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, whilst responsibility was significant for the models referred to depersonalization and personal accomplishment dimensions. Finally, extraversion was also significant in the emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment dimensions. The analysis performed provides useful information, making more readily the diagnosis and evolution of the burnout syndrome in this collective., Junta de Andalucia P20_00627

The main objective of this study was to establish the psychosocial profile of adolescents and adults who have admitted to committing child-to-parent violence (CPV) and were serving a judicial sanction or prison sentence, respectively. Two groups of participants took part in this study. The first group was made up of 89 male youths who were serving judicial sanctions, and the second group was made up of 70 men serving a prison sentence. A cross-sectional retrospective design with concurrent measurements was used in this study. Group differences in the exposure-to-violence variables were conducted. Automatic regression models were used to estimate a self-reported CPV. In relation to the variables of indirect exposure to violence, statistically significant differences between those who admitted having committed CPV and those who did not, irrespective of being adults or adolescents, were found for seeing violence in class and at home but not for seeing violence on the street or on television. Regarding the variables related to experiencing violence, the results showed statistically significant differences in experiencing violence at home but not in class or on the street. The best predictive model of CPV includes some of the dimensions of self-concept, specifically academic and family self-concept, as well as the avoidant and rational problem-solving styles and the negative orientation toward problems. The results have shown the existence of a CPV offender profile that is common to minors and adults.

Taking the dimensional approach to the study of emotion, emotions are perceived as a disposition to action; they emerge from arousal of the appetitive or aversive system, and result in subjective, behavioral, and physiological responses that are modulated by the dimensions of valence, arousal, and dominance. This study uses the International Affective Picture System (IAPS) to study the interaction between the type of picture presented (pleasant, neutral, or unpleasant) and group (adolescents under custody in juvenile justice centers, adolescents under non-custodial measures, and secondary school students) in the emotional assessment of these dimensions. The interaction between the study variables was statistically significant. Statistically significant differences were found between the three types of pictures presented, in the ratings of unpleasant pictures between the custody group and the group of secondary students in regular schooling in valence, and in the ratings of unpleasant, neutral, and pleasant pictures in arousal, between the custody group and all groups. Background Smartphones are technological devices that have a great impact on people's daily lives changing their habits and behaviors. The utilities and capabilities of these devices are increasing and the foresight is that this tendency will grow in the next years. However, the problematic use of the smartphone has increased dangerously, interfering with the clinical practice of healthcare professionals. Objective To conduct a systematic review and a meta-analysis to estimate the prevalence of smartphone addiction, also known as nomophobia, in nursing students and to identify its related factors and its negative effects. Design Systematic Review and Meta-analysis. Data sources The literature search was done in CINAHL, Proquest, Pubmed, Scopus and Web of Science databases. Review methods The search equation was “(nomophobia OR smartphone) AND nurs* student*”. n = 16 articles were identified. Results The meta-analytic estimation of nomophobia or smartphone addiction was 22% (CI95% 18%–26%] in a sample of n = 2780 nursing students. Smartphone usability is very extended during the clinical practice by nursing students. They indicated using the device or watching other students distracted with their smartphone. Some variables related to excessive use in nursing students are lower sleep quality, lower self-esteem, higher social distress, lower perceived social support or lower communication skills between others. Conclusions The main use of the smartphone by nursing students is for communication with other people and some of them indicate that it can be a distraction.

This study offers a comparative analysis of evidence for the predictive validity of SAVRY and YLS/CMI scores in predicting risk of recidivism in a group of young people who received a Juvenile Justice order.The sample was made up of 594 youths aged between 14 and 18 (M=15.63, SD=1.08) at the time they committed an offense.Both instruments showed high accuracy in predicting recidivism, with the greatest accuracy observed in the SAVRY and YLS/CMI total scores, as well as in the Individual domain of the SAVRY. Comparative analysis of the AUCs of both instruments indicated no statistically significant differences between total scores from the two instruments. Results showed statistically significant differences in comparisons of means and AUCs between the groups of young reoffenders and non-reoffenders in all cases. Our results did not support the hypothesis that dynamic risk factors are a better predictors of recidivism in young offenders.This study offers empirical evidence of the predictive capacity and differential functioning of the SAVRY and YLS/CMI instruments in the Spanish context.

Objective To determine the prevalence of high levels of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and low personal accomplishment in nursing professionals in oncology services. Methods A meta-analytical study was performed. The search was carried out in March 2017 in Pubmed, CINAHL, Scopus, Scielo, Proquest, CUIDEN, and LILACS databases. Studies using Maslach Burnout Inventory for the assessment of burnout were included. Results The total sample of oncology nurses was n = 9959. The total number of included studies was n = 17, with n = 21 samples for the meta-analysis of emotional exhaustion and n = 18 for depersonalization and low personal accomplishment. The prevalence of emotional exhaustion and of depersonalization was 30% (95% CI = 26%-33%) and 15% (95% CI = 9%-23%), respectively, and that of low personal performance was 35% (95% CI = 27%-43%). Conclusions The are many oncology nurses with emotional exhaustion and low levels of personal accomplishment. The presence and the risk of burnout among these staff members are considerable.

Los resultados del metaanalisis apoyan la existencia de una alteracion de las funciones ejecutivas en la poblacion juvenil con conducta antisocial penada, y senalan que la magnitud de esta alteracion puede verse influida por la edad y por el tipo de prueba utilizada para la evaluacion de las funciones ejecutivas.

To assess burnout levels in oncology nurses, to evaluate at what stage of burnout suffering they are and to analyze the relationship between burnout with personality factors.A quantitative, observational, cross-sectional multicenter study was done. Oncology nurses (n = 101) from the Andalusian Health Service (Andalusia, Spain) were included. The main variables were personality factors, assessed with the NEO-FFI questionnaire, anxiety and depression, assessed with the Educational-Clinical Questionnaire: Anxiety and Depression, and burnout, evaluated with the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Student t-statistic was used for hypothesis contrasts and Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to establish the association between personality factors and burnout.According to the burnout phases model, 29.6% of the sample is in the most severe phases. Emotional exhaustion and depersonalization are positively correlated with neuroticism and negatively correlated with agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion and openness. Personal accomplishment has a negative correlation with neuroticism and negative correlations with agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion and openness. Finally, emotional exhaustion and depersonalization have a positive correlation with anxiety and depression, while personal accomplishment has a negative correlation with anxiety and depression.A significant number of oncology nurses are in the most severe stages of burnout suffering. Personality factors have a key role in burnout development. The importance of personality factors in burnout development should be taken into account.

The prevalence of burnout in midwives has been briefly studied. Given the negative effects of burnout syndrome in the physical and mental health, and also related to the quality of care provided, rates of absenteeism and sick leave; identifying related factors for the syndrome are needed. The aim was to determine the prevalence, levels, and factors related to the burnout syndrome, measured with the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory in midwives. A systematic review and meta-analysis were selected from CINAHL, LILACS, ProQuest, PsycINFO, PubMed, SciELO, and Scopus databases, with the search equation “burnout AND (midwife OR midwives OR nurses midwives)”. Fourteen articles were found with a total of 8959 midwives. Most of the studies showed moderate levels of personal burnout. The prevalence obtained was 50% (95% CI = 38–63) for personal burnout; 40% (95% CI = 32–49) for work-related burnout; and 10% (95% CI = 7–13) for client-related burnout. Midwives’ age, less experience, and living alone constitute the main related factors, as well as, the scarcity of resources, work environment, and the care model used. Most midwives present personal and work-related burnout, which indicates a high risk of developing burnout. Personal factors and working conditions should be taken into account when assessing burnout risk profiles of midwives.

Palliative care nurses are exposed to hard situations, death, and duel feelings in their daily practice. These, and other work stressors, can favor burnout development. Thus, it is important to analyze the prevalence and risk factors of burnout in palliative care nurses and estimate its prevalence. A systematic review and meta-analysis was done with quantitative primary studies. n = 15 studies were included with n = 6 studies including information for the meta-analysis. The meta-analytic prevalence estimation of emotional exhaustion was 24% (95% CI 16–34%), for depersonalization was 30% (95% CI 18–44%) and for low personal accomplishment was 28% with a sample of n = 693 palliative care nurses. The main variables related with burnout are occupational variables followed by psychological variables. Some interventions to improve working conditions of palliative care nurses should be implemented to reduce burnout.

Professionals with burnout have negative physical and psychological e ects, with adverse consequences in their workplace. Burnout mainly a ects assisting professions; amongst them, police work is one of the professions at risk of su ering from this syndrome. The aim of this research is to study the adequacy of the Maslach Burnout Inventory and Granada Burnout Questionnaire instruments to measure burnout in police o cers through the study of the reliability and validity (concurrent and predictive) of these instruments. A cross-sectional study was carried out. The sample was composed of 1884 police o cers, mostly men (85.4%), with an average age of 35.04 (SD = 8.30). The Maslach Burnout Inventory and Granada Burnout Questionnaire were used to measure burnout. The results obtained in this study support the adequacy of both instruments for measuring burnout. The correlation coe cients between the dimensions are significant, with a medium-high magnitude. Participants with burnout had significantly higher scores in emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and lower scores in personal accomplishment in both instruments. The area under the curve estimated for the Granada Burnout Questionnaire provided evidence of the predictive validity of the instrument. The police profession needs validated and sensitive tools to identify police changes in the dimensions of burnout. Professionals working in cancer care are exposed to strong sources of stress. Due to the special characteristics of this unit, the appearance of burnout, compassion fatigue, and low compassion satisfaction is more likely. The principal aim was to analyze the levels and prevalence of burnout, compassion fatigue, and low compassion satisfaction in oncology nurses and interventions for its treatment. The search for the systematic review was done in Medline, ProQuest, Lilacs, CINAHL, Scopus, Scielo, and PsycINFO databases, with the search equation &ldquo, burnout AND nurs* AND oncology AND compassion fatigue&rdquo, The results obtained from the 15 studies confirmed that there are levels of risk of suffering burnout and compassion fatigue among nursing professionals, affecting more women and nurses with more years of experience, with nurses from oncology units having one of the highest levels of burnout and compassion fatigue. The oncology nurse sample was n = 900. The meta-analytic estimations were 19% for low compassion satisfaction, 56% for medium and high burnout, BO, and 60% for medium and high compassion fatigue. The increase in cases of burnout and compassion fatigue in nursing staff can be prevented and minimized with a correct evaluation and development of intervention programs, considering that there are more women than men and that they seem to be more vulnerable.

Nurses in primary health care (PHC) have multiple responsibilities but must often work with limited resources. The study’s aim was to estimate burnout levels among PHC nurses. A Quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, multicentre study of 338 nurses working in PHC in the Andalusian Public Health Service (Spain) is presented. A total of 40.24% of the nurses studied had high levels of burnout. The dimensions of emotional exhaustion and depersonalisation were significantly associated with anxiety, depression, neuroticism, on-call duty and seniority-profession and inversely related to agreeableness. In addition, depersonalisation was significantly associated with gender, and emotional exhaustion correlated inversely with age. Personal achievement was inversely associated with anxiety and depression and positively correlated with agreeableness, extraversion and responsibility. There is a high prevalence of burnout among nurses in PHC. Those most likely to suffer burnout syndrome are relatively young, suffer from anxiety and depression and present high scores for neuroticism and low ones for agreeableness, responsibility and extraversion., Funding for this study was provided by the Andalusian Government Excellence Project (P11HUM-7771)

Los participantes de este estudio son 217 desempleados de la ciudad de Huelva. Se realiza un analisis de los items del instrumento obteniendo una fiabilidad de consistencia interna de .85 y .90 en cada parte del instrumento. El analisis factorial exploratorio extrae dos factores coincidentes con el cuestionario original. Con objeto de obtener evidencias de validez se realiza un analisis de conglomerados de dos fases, mostrando la agrupacion de las personas en dos conglomerados, uno relacionado con duelo prolongado y el otro con intensidad menor. No se encuentran diferencias respecto a la edad y el sexo en la intensidad de duelo, pero si respecto a la antiguedad en desemple o y responsabilidad sobre los ingresos familiares. Se encuentra un afrontamiento evitativo en personas que presentan un duelo mas intenso EnglishThis study firstly apply the Texas Revised Inventory of Grief (TRIG) in a context of job loss. Participants in this study were 217 unemployed in the city of Huelva. An items analysis and internal consistency reliability was computed obtaining alpha coefficients of .85 and .90 in each part of the instrument. The exploratory factor analysis extracted two factors similar to those in the original questionnaire. In order to obtain validity evidence, cluster analysis in two stages was performed, showing that participants fitted into two clusters, one associated with prolonged and the other with less intensity grief. No differences regarding age and sex in the intensity of grief was found, but regarding the length of unemployment and responsibility on the family income. An avoidant coping style was found in people with more intense grief.

El uso de instrumentos de predicción del riesgo de reincidencia en menores infractores está cada vez más extendido entre profesionales e investigadores, a tal grado que ha provocado el aumento del número de instrumentos desarrollados específicamente para menores infractores. Entre los instrumen- tos de predicción del riesgo de reincidencia creados para jóvenes destaca el Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY. Borum, Bartel, & Forth, 2002, 2006). En este trabajo se presenta una aproximación a la capacidad predictiva del instrumento SAVRY en su aplicación a menores infractores españoles. La muestra está formada por un total de 594 menores con causa judicial en el Juzgado de Menores de Almería (España), de edades comprendidas entre 14 y 18 años, por lo menos al momento de la comisión de la conducta antisocial penada. El 85.4% de los menores era de sexo masculino y 79% de nacionalidad española. Los resultados muestran que el instrumento SAVRY presenta una adecuada capacidad predictiva.

Studying for a university degree can be very demanding, as students must cope with a variety of academic, social and personal challenges. If these demands persist, and if there are insufficient resources with which to address them, they will eventually provoke stress. When stress is present for long periods of time, it can lead to academic burnout syndrome, the signs of which are emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and inadequate personal accomplishment. This paper considers certain sociodemographic factors (age, sex, children, marital status, employment status, degree subject, faculty, academic year) in the identification of a risk profile of developing burnout syndrome. This study is cross-sectional, associative and ex post facto. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey was administered to 445 students in the University of Granada. Instruments that assess recidivism risk in young people are used widely in the sphere of juvenile justice worldwide. Traditionally, research has focused on the study of risk factors presented by young offenders, and how these relate to criminal recidivism. In present-day research, protective factors have also come into their own, having proven to encourage non-recidivism in young offenders. This paper presents a study carried out with 594 young offenders. The instrument used for assessing risk of recidivism in young offenders was the Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY). In the results found here, one can observe how the young offenders who did not reoffend presented a greater level of protective factors than the repeating offenders. The youths with a prior arrest record scored higher in the risk domains than the reoffenders without a prior arrest record. The case of young repeat offenders who already had an arrest record represents a high-risk profile, or a profile of a criminal career. Crimes committed by young people can be isolated incidents in their life. In most youths, criminal behavior does not persist beyond legal age. Protective factors prove to be important in juvenile justice when planning an individualized intervention for the young offender.

The aim of this study was to describe the level of nurse burnout in critical care units and emergency departments and to analyze the relation between intensity of burnout and sociodemographic, workplace, and psychological factors.Survey of a sample of emergency and critical care nurses in Andalusia, Spain. Sociodemographic and work variables as well as personality type, anxiety, depression, and level of burnout.. Of a total of 1721 critical care and emergency nurses in Andalusia, 337 (19.5%) were surveyed. A high level of burnout was detected in 38.5%. Emotional exhaustion was present in 10.5% of the sample, depersonalization in 16.8%, and a low level of personal accomplishment in 63.3%. A high burnout score was significantly associated with personality factors and depression.More than a third of emergency and critical care nurses experience a high level of burnout. Personality factors and high levels of depression are associated with burnout in nurses.Describir los niveles de síndrome de burnout y su relación con variables sociodemográficas, laborales y psicológicas en enfermeras de emergencias y cuidados críticos.Se realizó un estudio tipo encuesta en una muestra de enfermeras de emergencias y cuidados críticos de Andalucía (España). Las variables recogidas fueron datos sociodemográficos, laborales, tipo de personalidad, ansiedad, depresión y el nivel de burnout.Del total de 1.721, se encuestaron 337 (19,5%) enfermeras. Un 38,5% de los participantes se encontraba en una fase de burnout alto. Un 10,5% de la muestra presentó un nivel alto de agotamiento emocional, un 16,8% obtuvo niveles altos de despersonalización y un 63,3% puntuó bajo en realización personal, obteniéndose relaciones significativas entre los factores de personalidad y la depresión con un nivel alto de burnout.. Más de un tercio de las enfermeras de emergencias y cuidados críticos presentaron un nivel de burnout alto. Los factores de personalidad y los niveles altos de depresión se asociaron con la presencia de síndrome de burnout en estos profesionales.

Objective To determine the prevalence of burnout (based on the Maslach Burnout Inventory on the 3 dimensions of high Emotional Exhaustion, high Depersonalization, and low Personal Accomplishment) among emergency nurses. Method A search of the terms "emergency AND nurs* AND burnout" was conducted using the following databases: CINAHL, Cochrane, CUIDEN, IBECS, LILACS, PubMed, ProQuest, PsycINFO, SciELO, and Scopus. Results Thirteen studies were included for the Maslach Burnout Inventory subscales of Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization and 11 studies for the subscale of low Personal Accomplishment. The total sample of nurses was 1566. The estimated prevalence of each subscale was 31% (95% CI, 20-44) for Emotional Exhaustion, 36% (95% CI, 23-51) for Depersonalization, and 29% (95% CI, 15-44) for low Personal Accomplishment. Conclusions The prevalence of burnout syndrome in emergency nurses is high; about 30% of the sample was affected with at least 1 of the 3 Maslach Burnout Inventory subscales. Working conditions and personal factors should be taken into account when assessing burnout risk profiles of emergency nurses.

The present study examined the predictive validity of the Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY) in a group of young Spanish offenders. The sample is made up of 594 minors from the Juvenile Court, between the ages of 14 and 18 at the time they committed the delinquent act. The SAVRY was able to differentiate between low and high-risk younger offenders. Mean scores on risk factor are greater in the group of recidivist offenders, the group of non-recidivist shows higher mean scores in Protective domain. The accuracy of the instrument is high (AUCRiskTotalScore = 0.737 and AUCSummaryRiskRating = 0.748). An approximation of the predictive validity study of the SAVRY in Spanish younger offenders is presented. The results obtained support the SAVRY good functioning with not English samples.

Research on juvenile justice aims to identify profiles of risk and protective factors in juvenile offenders. This paper presents a study of profiles of risk factors that influence young offenders toward committing sanctionable antisocial behavior (S-ASB). Decision tree analysis is used as a multivariate approach to the phenomenon of repeated sanctionable antisocial behavior in juvenile offenders in Spain. The study sample was made up of the set of juveniles who were charged in a court case in the Juvenile Court of Almeria (Spain). The period of study of recidivism was two years from the baseline. The object of study is presented, through the implementation of a decision tree. Two profiles of risk and protective factors are found. Risk factors associated with higher rates of recidivism are antisocial peers, age at baseline S-ASB, problems in school and criminality in family members.

In 1999, Wilkinson and the Task Force on Statistical Inference published "Statistical Methods and Psychology: Guidelines and Explanation." The authors made several recommendations about how to improve the quality of Psychology research papers. One of these was to report some effect-size index in the results of the research. In 2001, the fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association included this recommendation. In Spain, in 2003, scientific journals like Psicothema or the International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology (IJCHP) published editorials and papers expressing the need to calculate the effect size in the research papers. The aim of this study is to determine whether the papers published from 2003 to 2008 in the four Spanish journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports have reported some effect-size index of their results. The findings indicate that, in general, the followup of the norm has been scanty, though the evolution over the analyzed period is different depending on the journal. Con la publicacion, en 1999, del informe Statistical Methods in Psychology Journals: Guidelines and explanations (Wilkinson & The Task Force on Statistical Inference) se hicieron publicas una serie de recomendaciones para mejorar la calidad en la presentacion metodologica de los articulos de investigacion en Psicologia, siendo una de ellas el calculo de un estadistico adecuado para valorar el tamano del efecto en la presentacion de los resultados. En 2001, la quinta edicion del Manual de Publicacion de la Asociacion Americana de Psicologia ha incluido esta recomendacion. En Espana, en 2003, revistas cientificas como Psicothema o el International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology (IJCHP) publican editoriales y guias en las que expresan la necesidad de calcular el tamano del efecto en los trabajos de investigacion. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar si los articulos publicados desde 2003 hasta 2008 en las cuatro revistas espanolas indizadas en el Journal Citation Reports han informado de algun indice del tamano del efecto en los articulos publicados. Los resultados indican que, en general, el seguimiento de la norma ha sido escaso, aunque la evolucion durante el periodo analizado es diferente dependiendo de la revista. The recommendations to incorporate an index that adequately reports the effect sizes in research articles in Psychology are neither new nor isolated. Both authors and editors of prestigious journals have published normative articles and editorials, urging researchers to present some effect size index in their research articles along with the results obtained in the study. One of the first authors to recommend the use of an effect size index was L.V. Jones, who in 1955 published the article "Statistics and Research Design," in the journal Annual Review of Psychology. This was subsequently followed by Kish, in 1959, with the article "Some Problems in Research Design," Rozeboom, in 1960, with the article "The Fallacy of the Null Hypothesis Significance Test," published in the Psychological Bulletin, or Carver, with the article "The Case against Statistical Significance Testing," published in 1978 in the journal Harvard Educational Review. One year later, in September of 1979, Hunter emphasized the importance of using the effect size in the 86th Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association with a communication entitled "Cumulating Results across Studies: A Critique of Factor Analysis, Canonical Correlation, Manova and Statistical Significance Testing." Background: Nursing burnout is an important problem that affects nurses&rsquo, wellness, the quality of care and the health institutions. Study aims were to estimate levels of burnout, to determine the phase of burnout experienced by nurses in the medical area, to analyse the relationship between burnout and personality and psychological factors. Methods: Quantitative, cross-sectional, multicentre study. Hospitals from eight cities were included. The study sample was n = 301 nurses, working in the medical area of hospitals in the Andalusian Health Service during the second semester of 2017. Sociodemographic, occupational and personality variables were studied using the Revised NEO Personality Inventory together with the Educational-Clinical Questionnaire: Anxiety and Depression, and burnout was measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Results: Almost 40% of the nurses presented high levels of burnout. The three burnouts (emotional exhaustion, depersonalisation and personal accomplishment) presented statistically significant correlations with the personality factors of neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness, and also with the scores recorded for anxiety and depression. Multiple linear regression models showed agreeableness and depression to be statistically significant predictors of all dimensions of the syndrome. Conclusion: Hospital nurses working in the medical area in Andalusia experience high levels of burnout.

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo analizarel Sistema de Justicia Juvenil deAndalucía en los años de funcionamientodesde la promulgación de laLORPM desde una doble perspectiva,por un lado, la revisión de la bibliografíaempírica especializada que se hagenerado en estos años, por otro el análisisde la perspectiva de los programasy recursos de intervención que se implementanen dicha comunidad.

La incorporación al mundo laboral, es una de las tareas de desarrollo más relevantes y complejas, dadas las características de la sociedad actual, para poder acceder al estatus de adulto. Con este estudio se pretende obtener información, acerca del conocimiento que los jóvenes tienen sobre las diferentes funciones del Servicio Andaluz de Empleo, la Oficina Virtual del Servicio Andaluz de Empleo y del Servicio de Orientación, Información, Prácticas, Empleo y Autoempleo. Para llevar a cabo este objetivo se ha tomado una muestra de estudiantes de la Universidad de Huelva, que durante el año académico 2011/2012, se encuentran cursando su segunda titulación universitaria. La muestra está formada por 72 alumnos, de los cuales el 16.7% son hombres y el 83% son mujeres. La media de edad es de 23.64 años. Los resultados informan de una falta de formación e información relacionada con los Servicios Públicos de Empleo., The incorporation into the world of work, is one of the most relevant and complex development, by the characteristics of today’s society, to gain access to adult status. This study aims to learn about the knowledge that young people have on the different functions of the Andalusian Employment Service, the Virtual Office of the Andalusian Service Employment and Guidance Services, Information, Practices, Employment and Self-Employment. To perform this study has selected a sample of students from the University of Huelva, than during the academic year 2011 / 2012, are pursuing their second university degree. The sample consists of 72 students, of whom the 16.7% are men and 83% are women. The median age is 23.64 years. Results reported a lack of training and information related to the public employment services.
