The soil fertility and nutrient availability are limiting factors for growth and plant development. Fermented compost and nitrogen (N)-fertilizer are useful as sources of nutrients to support the growth of plant and microorganisms in soils. The combination of biological fertilizer and chemical fertilizer can support the concept of sustainable and integrated agriculture and minimize the adverse effects of chemical fertilizers. The research was conducted to get the recommended dose of fermented compost and N-fertilizer to increase the plant height and productivity of purple eggplant. The experiment was arranged as factorialized randomized block design and consisted of two factors and two replications, namely fermented compost dose (0, 5, 10, and 15 t ha−1) and N-fertilizer dose (0, 75, 150, and 225 kg ha−1). The observed responses were increase in plant height and productivity of purple eggplant. Compared to the control, the application of 15 t ha−1fermented compost and 225 kg ha−1N-fertilizer increased the plant height by 40.76% at 30 days after planting and 57.59% at 37 days after planting and increased the purple eggplant yield by 43.15%. BC ratio of the fermented compost (15 t ha−1) is 1.16 and BC ratio of the N-fertilizer (225 kg ha−1) is 1.09. Recommended dose to increase the plant height and productivity of purple eggplant in vertisol is 15 t ha−1of fermented compost and 225 kg ha−1of N-fertilizer.

Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan varietas dan lokasi penanaman terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tembakau unggul lokal bandung serta untuk mengetahui varietas mana yang memberikan hasil terbaik. Percobaan dilakukan di kebun petani di Desa Cikawao Kecamatan Pacet dan Desa Mandalasari Kecamatan Cikancung Kabupaten Bandung Jawa Barat, pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Agustus 2019. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok RAK) pola Faktorial yang terdiri atas dua faktor dan masing-masing diulang sebanyak lima kali. Faktor pertama adalah varietas yang terdiri dari empat varietas yaitu v1, (Teril), v2 (Desep), v3 (Nani Hejo) dan v4 (Himar). Faktor kedua adalah Lokasi yang terdiri dari dua lokasi yaitu l1 (Cikawao) dan l2 (Mandalasari). Percobaan menghasilkan bahwa jenis varietas tembakau dan lokasi penanaman menunjukan interaksi antara keduanya, dan menunjukan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap umur berbunga, umur panen, tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, panjang daun, jumlah daun, bobot basah daun dan berat kering daun krosok.

Sitophilus oryzae L is a beetle pest that attacks black rice grains during storage, causing the rice to become damaged and reducing the quantity and quality of black rice. One of the efforts to control beetle pests in black rice storage warehouses is the use of soursop seed flour. The aim of this research to study and obtain the dosage of soursop seed flour which gives the best effect on mortality, the amount of imago, percentage of damage and percentage of weight loss of black rice (Oryza sativa L). The experiment was conducted at the Faculty Of Agriculture of Winaya Mukti, Tanjungsari, Sumedang, in July to September 2020. The experiment used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments and four replication, consist of : A = 0 g/100 g black rice seeds, B = 2 g/100 g black rice seeds, C = 4 g/100 g black rice seeds, D = 6 g/100 g black rice seeds, E = 8 g/100 g black rice seeds and F = 10 g/100 g black rice seeds. The results showed that soursop seed flour had a good effect on mortality and the amount of S. oryzae L. imago, percentage of damage, and percentage of weight loss of black rice (O. sativa L).The dose of soursop seed flour 2 g/100 g black rice, effectively increased mortality, suppressed the amount of imago S. oryzae L. , percentage of damage and percentage of weight loss of black rice (O. sativa L)

Since variations in chrysanthemums are still limited, Indonesia still imports. An effort to expand the variation can be done through polyploidy techniques using colchicine. Pasopati varieties of the chrysanthemum were propagated in vitro and treated with colchicine and planted in different media compositions to observe performance and obtain superior genotype. Experiment with a factorial pattern that consist of two factors: the composition of the planting medium ( m1 = top soil, m2 = cocopeat, m3 = husk charcoal, m4 = top soil + cocopeat m5 = top soil + husk charcoal, m6 = cocopeat + chaff charcoal) and polyploidy chrysanthemum genotypes (g1 = KAR0, g2 = KAR1, g3 = KAR2, g4 = KAR3, and g5 = KAR4) with two replications was designed. The results showed there were variations in plant height, stem diameter, number of nodes, number of floret, and stalk length on polyploidy Chrysanthemum genotypes due to different planting media. The m4 = top soil + cocopeat can increase plant height, stem diameter, number of nodes, stalk length and number of floret KAR4 genotype.

Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemump) is a one of the most popular cutting flower commodities in Indonesia. The beauty of colors and variations in the shape of flowers and the low level of withering cause Chrysanthemum to be in great demand. The polyploid chrysanthemum has some superior properties but the growth rate and flowering time is slow due to colchicine. The study aimed to determine the influence of the concentration of the cytokinins in the growth and productivity of chrysanthemum polyploid genotypes. The experimental design as used Split Plot Design consists of 2 factors and 2 replications. The first factors were concentration of the cytokinin (Si, i are 1,…,4) as a main plot with different levels about 0, 1, 2,3, 4 ml L−1 of cytokinin solutions, respectively. The second factorswere the third generation of the polyploid chrysanthemum (G) genotype as a sub plot with 4 genotype, namely: g0 = KRA0, g1 = KRA1, g2 = KRA2, and g3 = KRA3. Based on the experiments and analysis results, it was found that the treatment of 3 ml L−1 of the cytokinin solution produced 16 shoots while the polyploid chrysanthemum genotype KRA2 gave the best response to the number of shoots at 12 WAP compared to other polyploid chrysanthemum genotypes.

This experiment aims was to study the effect of the concentration of aloe vera juice and to get the concentration of aloe vera juice which shows better growth of the number of leaves and the number of roots on the Dendrobium orchid plantlet in Hybrid-vitro results. This experiment was carried out at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Winaya Mukti University, which began in May to August 2019. The experimental design was used a Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments in 5 replications and the treatments namely : A ( 0 g L -1 solution ) , B ( 25 g L -1 solution ) , C ( 50 g L -1 solution ) , D ( 75 g L -1 solution ) , E ( 100 g L -1 solution ) . The results showed that consentration of B ( 25 g L -1 solution), C ( 50 g L -1 solution ) , D ( 75 g L -1 solution ) gav e plantlet height, number of shoots, number of roots, and root length better than another treatments.

Purpose : To test the effectiveness of neem leaves in suppressing the development of Alternaria porri causing purple blotch and to provide information about the use of neem leaves to control these purple blotch on shallots Research Method : The research was conducted at the Lembang Botanical Research Institute (BALITSA) at altitude + 1,250 meters above sea level (masl) with average temperatures ranging from 19-24 0C, humidity ranging from 39-90% and average rainfall of 2,207 , 5 mm / year. The trial period starts from the beginning of November 2018 until January 2019. The study was conducted in the field using an experimental method with a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications. These treatments are Application of the extracted neem leaf with concentration of: (A) 150 g L-1, (B) 175 g L-1, (C) 200 g L-1, (D) 225 g L-1, (E) 250 g L-1, and (F) Control / without application. Experimental data analysis was carried out based on a linear model for the Randomized Block Design (RBD). The obtained data were statistically analyzed by variance analysis with the F test on variables. The F test results showed significant differences. To differentiate the average of each conducted treatment, further tests with Duncan’s multiple range method on real level of 5% is tested. Findings : Neem leaves can act as a botanical pesticide that is easy to make and easy to apply for farmers.The extracted neem leaf application with a concentration of 225 g L-1 is the best concentration and is able to suppress the development of Alternaria porri causing purple spots on shallot plants. Limitations : The secondary metabolite content of the mimba plant is found in parts of the seeds, but in the west java area the neem tree does not produce seeds, so in this study only uses the leaves. Value : The use of botanical pesticide derived from neem leaves is able to reduce the use of synthetic pesticide, so as to reduce the effects of residual causes of environmental pollution.

Purpose : Nationally, not all regions in Indonesia have detected land damage for biomass production. Whereas the determination of land damage needs to be done as an effort of its control. The aim of this study is to compile a map of the status of soil and land damage for Biomass production. Research Method : This research was conducted with a scoring calculation method with a thematc map overlay using a Geographic Information System. Findings : The results showed in 12 study areas, where they had an area of 58.509,31 ha of Effective Work Area, with three categories of potential land damage, namely 56.96% moderate damage, 43% minor damage, and 0.004% very mild damage. Limitations : It would be better taking a sampling point even if the soil type is the same. Value : As a form of the Minimum Service Standards for the Environment Sector, which is status information service based on the standard criteria for national land damage.

Purpose : Black soybean is a legume plant that has economic value on effective seeds and nodules, but out of the number of varieties that have been released until 2013 only 11 varieties are with agronomic height input innovation. The research objective is to obtain superior local genotype, as a source of new black soybean varieties, accompanied by compost and biochar-based agronomy practical innovations for sustainable agriculture. Research Method : The first treatment was compost-based agronomy innovation with biochar (B): b1 (1 t ha-1 +1 t ha-1) and b2:(1.5 t ha-1+ 0.5 t ha-1). The second treatment was 4 genotypes of local black soybean (G): KB1, KA3, CK5, KH4, and as a comparison was a Cikuray variety with each treatment repeated three times. Anova test results of factorial patterns and DRMT Duncan’s test at the 5% level. Findings : Anova test results of factorial patterns and DRMT Duncan’s test at the 5% level indicate that practical innovations based on compost and biochar agronomy accompanied by genotype have no effect. Both agronomy innovations b1 and b2 have the same effect on agronomic characters. Expected Genotypes that were superior to their agronomic character were shown by KH4 and KA3 genotypes with potential productivity of 3.28 t ha-1 and 3.19 t ha-1, and increased by 21% and 17.71%, respectively. The genotypes of KB1, KA3 and KH4 produced the same number of nodules compared to Cikuray varieties. Limitations : This research doesn’t study about soil condition after the experiment. Value : The novelty in this study is the use of low doses and directly applied to planting holes, obtained local genotypes superior agronomic characters for sources of new varieties, and obtained practical innovations based on compos and biochar agronomy for guidance for farmers who later selected regions as centers for varieties new black soybeans.
