Launch of the Gaia space observatory started a new era in astrometry when the accuracy of star coordinates increased by thousands of times. Significant improvement of accuracy was also expected for the coordinates of the Solar system bodies. Gaia DR3 provided us with the data which could be used to test our expectations. In this work, we refine the orbits of a number of outer planetary satellites using both ground-based and Gaia observations. From thirteen outer satellites observed by Gaia, we chose six to obtain their orbits. Some specific moments in using observations of outer satellites made by Gaia are demonstrated. These pecularities stem from scanning motion of Gaia, in particular from the fact that the accuracy of observations is significantly different along and across the scanning direction. As expected, Gaia observations proved to be more precise than those made from Earth, which results in more accurate satellite ephemerides. We estimate accuracy of the ephemerides of considered satellites for the interval between 1996 and 2030. As astrometric positions published in Gaia DR3 were not corrected for the relativistic light deflection by the Sun, we took into account this effect, which slightly diminished the rms residuals. In addition, relativistic light deflection by the giant planets was estimated, which, as it turned out, can be neglected with the given accuracy of Gaia observations., Comment: accepted in MNRAS 28.03.2023, 9 pages, 8 figures

Resistive and capacitive switching in capacitor metal/nanocomposite/metal (M/NC/M) structures based on (CoFeB)x(LiNbO3)100-x NC fabricated by ion-beam sputtering with metal content x $\approx$ 8-20 at. % is studied. The peculiarity of the structure synthesis was the use of increased oxygen content ($\approx$ 2*10^-5 Torr) at the initial stage of the NC growth. The NC films, along with metal nanogranules of 3-6 nm in size, contained a large number of dispersed Co (Fe) atoms (up to ~10^22 cm^-3). Measurements were performed both in DC and AC (frequency range 5-13 MHz) regimes. When switching structures from high-resistance (Roff) to low-resistance (Ron) state, the effect of a strong increase in their capacity was found, which reaches 8 times at x $\approx$ 15 at. % and the resistance ratio Roff/Ron $\approx$ 40. The effect is explained by the synergetic combination of the multifilamentary character of resistive switching (RS) and structural features of the samples associated, in particular, with the formation of high-resistance and strongly polarizable LiNbO3 layer near the bottom electrode of the structures. The proposed model is confirmed by investigations of RS of two-layer nanoscale M/NC/LiNbO3/M structures as well as by studies of the magnetization of M/NC/M structures in the pristine state and after RS.

In this paper, the resistive switching and neuromorphic behavior of memristive devices based on parylene, a polymer both low-cost and safe for the human body, is comprehensively studied. The Metal/Parylene/ITO sandwich structures were prepared by means of the standard gas phase surface polymerization method with different top active metal electrodes (Ag, Al, Cu or Ti of about 500 nm thickness). These organic memristive devices exhibit excellent performance: low switching voltage (down to 1 V), large OFF/ON resistance ratio (about 10^3), retention (> 10^4 s) and high multilevel resistance switching (at least 16 stable resistive states in the case of Cu electrodes). We have experimentally shown that parylene-based memristive elements can be trained by a biologically inspired spike-timing-dependent plasticity (STDP) mechanism. The obtained results have been used to implement a simple neuromorphic network model of classical conditioning. The described advantages allow considering parylene-based organic memristors as prospective devices for hardware realization of spiking artificial neuron networks capable of supervised and unsupervised learning and suitable for biomedical applications., Comment: 25 pages, 6 figures, 1 table

This paper considers a new method for the binary asteroid orbit determination problem. The method is based on the Bayesian approach with a global optimisation algorithm. The orbital parameters to be determined are modelled through an a posteriori distribution made of a priori and likelihood terms. The first term constrains the parameters space and it allows the introduction of available knowledge about the orbit. The second term is based on given observations and it allows us to use and compare different observational error models. Once the a posteriori model is built, the estimator of the orbital parameters is computed using a global optimisation procedure: the simulated annealing algorithm. The maximum a posteriori (MAP) techniques are verified using simulated and real data. The obtained results validate the proposed method. The new approach guarantees independence of the initial parameters estimation and theoretical convergence towards the global optimisation solution. It is particularly useful in these situations, whenever a good initial orbit estimation is difficult to get, whenever observations are not well-sampled, and whenever the statistical behaviour of the observational errors cannot be stated Gaussian like., Comment: Accepted for publication in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society

The results of our speckle interferometric observations of young binaries VY Tau and XZ Tau are presented. For the first time, we found a relative displacement of VY Tau components as well as a preliminary orbit for XZ Tau. It appeared that the orbit is appreciably non-circular and is inclined by $i \lesssim 47^o$ from the plane of the sky. It means that the rotation axis of XZ Tau A and the axis of its jet are significantly non-perpendicular to the orbital plane. We found that the average brightness of XZ Tau had been increasing from the beginning of the last century up to the mid-thirties and then it decreased by $\Delta B > 2$ mag. The maximal brightness has been reached significantly later on the time of periastron passage. The total brightness of XZ Tau's components varied in a non-regular way from 1970 to 1985 when eruptions of hot gas from XZ Tau A presumably had occurred. In the early nineties the variations became regular following which a chaotic variability had renewed. We also report that a flare activity of VY Tau has resumed after 40 yr pause, parameters of the previous and new flares are similar, and the flares are related with the A component., Comment: 18 pages, 4 figures, accepted for publication in the Astronomy Letters

A dozen most luminous galaxies at distances up to 10 Mpc from the Local Group are moving away from the group forming the local expansion flow of giants. We use recent Hubble Space Telescope data on the local giants and their numerous fainter companions to study the dynamical structure and evolutionary trends of the flow. It is demonstrated that the dynamics of the flow is dominated by local dark energy. Keywords: Galaxies, groups and clusters of galaxies; local flows of galaxies; dark energy.

Effects of synchronization in a system of two coupled oscillators with time-delayed feedback are investigated. Phase space of a system with time delay is infinite-dimensional. Thus, the picture of synchronization in such systems acquires many new features not inherent to finite-dimensional ones. A picture of oscillation modes in cases of identical and non-identical coupled oscillators is studied in detail. Periodical structure of amplitude death and "broadband synchronization" zones is investigated.
