In order to utilize chicken manure as a source of phosphorus, we used dissolution-precipitation treatment to recover phosphorus from the incineration ash of chicken manure (IACM), which was used as fuel to power a boiler. In order to recover useful phosphorus-containing solids from IACM, it was dissolved into aqueous solutions of either nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, or sulfuric acid to elute phosphorus together with various component elements, followed by the use of aqueous NH3 to form a precipitate containing phosphorus. In using nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, calcium phosphate species such as calcium hydroxyapatite (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2) and monetite (CaHPO4) were obtained following the precipitation treatment. By contrast, the use of sulfuric acid resulted in the precipitation of magnesium ammonium phosphate (MAP) species such as struvite (MgNH4PO4∙6H2O) and dittmarite (MgNH4PO4∙H2O). Both the calcium phosphate and MAP species can be used as a slow-acting fertilizer containing phosphorus, while the MAP species could be simultaneously used as a slow-acting fertilizer containing nitrogen. It is noteworthy that the calcium phosphate species obtained in the present study was equivalent to phosphate rock, which is widely used as a raw material in phosphorous-based industries, and the natural sources of this material could be depleted in the near future. Though IACM has not been used effectively until now, this new resource shows promise as s viable alternative to the dwindling supply of the natural sources of phosphorus.

High temperature gel plugging agent was constituted of HG modified resin, cross-linking agent, HS solid particles. In this paper, the factors such as modified resin, cross-linking agent, salinity and HS solid particles, temperature on gel were studied. And the function of agent high temperature gel plugging agent was tested. High temperature gel plugging agent has some characters. For example, it can form gel at a low temperature, and isn’t affected by salinity. It has high strength, and its forming gel time was adjustable. The agent was used in 42 wells, which steam injection pressure were increased largely. The plane and vertical contradictions were improved. The wells product more oil. High temperature gel plugging agent improve steam effect. The application results show that the high temperature gel plugging agent was suitable for water blocking in multiple rounds of steam injection.

Heavy oil in Liaohe oilfield is buried in more than 1000 meters, and the steam injection temperature is around 350°C. Through the experiment on surfactant product, high temperature foam surface active agent was developed, which was based on high carbon chain alkyl benzene sulfonate or alkyl toluene sulfonate, and auxiliary solvent and stabilizer were added. High temperature foam surface active agent can meet the needs of steam foam profile control technology.

Adenylylsulfate reductase (adenosine 5′-phosphosulfate [APS] reductase [APSR]) plays a key role in catalyzing APS to sulfite in dissimilatory sulfate reduction. Here, we report the crystal structure of APSR from Desulfovibrio gigas at 3.1-Å resolution. Different from the α 2 β 2 -heterotetramer of the Archaeoglobus fulgidus , the overall structure of APSR from D. gigas comprises six αβ-heterodimers that form a hexameric structure. The flavin adenine dinucleotide is noncovalently attached to the α-subunit, and two [4Fe-4S] clusters are enveloped by cluster-binding motifs. The substrate-binding channel in D. gigas is wider than that in A. fulgidus because of shifts in the loop (amino acid 326 to 332) and the α-helix (amino acid 289 to 299) in the α-subunit. The positively charged residue Arg160 in the structure of D. gigas likely replaces the role of Arg83 in that of A. fulgidus for the recognition of substrates. The C-terminal segment of the β-subunit wraps around the α-subunit to form a functional unit, with the C-terminal loop inserted into the active-site channel of the α-subunit from another αβ-heterodimer. Electrostatic interactions between the substrate-binding residue Arg282 in the α-subunit and Asp159 in the C terminus of the β-subunit affect the binding of the substrate. Alignment of APSR sequences from D. gigas and A. fulgidus shows the largest differences toward the C termini of the β-subunits, and structural comparison reveals notable differences at the C termini, activity sites, and other regions. The disulfide comprising Cys156 to Cys162 stabilizes the C-terminal loop of the β-subunit and is crucial for oligomerization. Dynamic light scattering and ultracentrifugation measurements reveal multiple forms of APSR upon the addition of AMP, indicating that AMP binding dissociates the inactive hexamer into functional dimers, presumably by switching the C terminus of the β-subunit away from the active site. The crystal structure of APSR, together with its oligomerization properties, suggests that APSR from sulfate-reducing bacteria might self-regulate its activity through the C terminus of the β-subunit.
