INTRODUCTION In the fast-paced world of manufacturing, it is critical to research and understand the vital, and often expensive, ways in which employee benefits impact turnover and retention, two of [...], This study explores the efficacy of tuition reimbursement programs in addressing turnover and retention concerns, leveraging comprehensive data spanning pre- and post-COVID-19 pandemic periods. Through extensive survey data collected from manufacturing businesses in Middle Tennessee, encompassing four years and 1,247 responses, this study evaluates the impact of tuition reimbursement programs on turnover rates and perceptions through comparisons between organizations who provide tuition reimbursement benefits and those who do not. The findings suggest that organizations offering tuition reimbursement achieve lower turnover rates and perceive turnover as less of a challenge compared to their counterparts lacking such programs. Moreover, even with the upheaval wrought by the CO VID-19 pandemic, these trends persisted, despite the overall inflation of turnover that began post-pandemic. In conclusion, this study advocates for the strategic integration of tuition reimbursement programs as a potentially powerful tool for mitigating turnover challenges and nurturing employee retention.

The objective of this study is to examine the anxiety of hearing-impaired athletes about catching the new type of corona virus according to various variables. Comparison type relationship model within the scope of relational screening, one of the screening models of quantitative approach, was used as the research design. The study group consists of hearing-impaired athletes living in different cities in Turkiye and interested in different sports branches. The sample group, determined as snowball sampling of the non-probability sampling method, consists of a total of 257 participants: 89 female and 168 male. : Introduction: A Programme Science approach that prioritizes populations who will benefit most and ensuring resources are allocated to programmes that meet the needs of those populations will bring an equity focus to research. Gay men and other men who have sex with men, people who use drugs, sex workers of all genders, and trans and gender‐diverse people, defined by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Global Fund) as key populations, have been disproportionately impacted since the start of the HIV pandemic. Through documenting community experiences from global key population‐led networks, the authors explore the potential value and impact of community‐led organizations and service delivery as critical components in effective HIV and Sexually Transmitted infections (STI) programmes. Discussion: Through advocacy and research interventions, global key population networks have identified barriers against scaling up interventions for criminalized and marginalized communities, as well as highlighted solutions. The authors examine some of the current barriers to meaningful involvement of communities and the scaling up of community‐led programmes that need to be addressed if Programme Science is to maintain an equity lens and the needs of key populations are to be met and highlight the need to make visible community engagement and participation in embedded research and Programme Science. Conclusions: The Programme Science approach provides an important opportunity to understand practical issues that will increase effective coverage in the implementation of public health and other interventions, which will require the prioritizing of key populations and their priorities in HIV and STI programmes. : Introduction: Implementation science (IS) offers methods to systematically achieve the Ending the HIV Epidemic goals in the United States, as well as the global UNAIDS targets. Federal funders such as the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH) have invested in implementation research to achieve these goals, including supporting the AIDS Research Centres (ARCs), which focus on high‐impact science in HIV and mental health (MH). To facilitate capacity building for the HIV/MH research workforce in IS, “grey areas,” or areas of IS that are confusing, particularly for new investigators, should be addressed in the context of HIV/MH research. Discussion: A group of IS experts affiliated with NIMH‐funded ARCs convened to identify common and challenging grey areas. The group generated a preliminary list of 19 grey areas in HIV/MH‐related IS. From the list, the authors developed a survey which was distributed to all ARCs to prioritize grey areas to address in this paper. ARC members across the United States (N = 60) identified priority grey areas requiring clarification. This commentary discusses topics with 40% or more endorsement. The top grey areas that ARC members identified were: (1) Differentiating implementation strategies from interventions; (2) Determining when an intervention has sufficient evidence for adaptation; (3) Integrating recipient perspectives into HIV/MH implementation research; (4) Evaluating whether an implementation strategy is evidence‐based; (5) Identifying rigorous approaches for evaluating the impact of implementation strategies in the absence of a control group or randomization; and (6) Addressing innovation in HIV/MH IS grants. The commentary addresses each grey area by drawing from the existing literature (when available), providing expert guidance on addressing each in the context of HIV/MH research, and providing domestic and global HIV and HIV/MH case examples that address these grey areas. Conclusions: HIV/MH IS is key to achieving domestic and international goals for ending HIV transmission and mitigating its impact. Social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic raised concerns about its psychological impacts. The present study therefore investigated two negative states, loneliness and depression, and their temporal relationship, in two samples of emerging adults attending college. The first (N=323) was assessed prior to a stay-at-home order and 4 weeks after the order. To ensure that any findings reflected circumstances occasioned by the stay-at-home order a second pre COVID-19 sample (N=290) was also studied. Results were similar across both samples. No change was found in overall level of depressive symptoms and because the change in loneliness occurred in both samples it could not be attributed to circumstances resulting from the pandemic. Findings in both samples supported a relationship in which loneliness predicted later depressive symptoms and vice versa. The reasons why depressive symptoms might lead to loneliness are discussed.
