The purpose of this study is to clarify the process of transformation of parental behavior and thinking practiced at home by studying Choice Theory, and to examine whether choice theory is effective for building a good parent-child relationship. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with two mothers who practice selection theory at home in X prefecture, and analysis was performed using SCAT (Steps for Coding and Theorization). As a result, it was found that by learning the theory of choice, they were involved in understanding and accepting what was in the quality world (desire) of children. As a result, the child's desire for love-belonging needs was satisfied, and the parent was put into the quality world (desire). Then, a good parent-child relationship was built, and the parents themselves were able to satisfy their desires for love and belonging and become happy.
