Today, access to real-time information from emergency scenes is still limited for emergency medical services, fire departments, and their professionals, also called first responders. Emergency Response Information Systems (ERISs) have recently been discussed in the literature as a potential solution to this problem. Using the Design Science Research (DSR) paradigm, we present a novel 5G-enabled ERIS (5G-ERIS) design that leverages 5G mobile network technologies to offer diverse real-time information. We provide a user-centered examination of design specifications for a 5G-ERIS based on a smart city digital twin. Based on literature and qualitative expert interviews with several first responders in Germany, we derive how emergency medical services and fire departments can improve their decision-making with this 5G-ERIS. Based on existing 5G application architectures, we structure our identified design specifications into four system layers. Our findings provide an essential knowledge base for the successful development, deployment, and long-term use of 5G-ERISs. Background: The World Health Organization announced the end of the Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) global health emergency on May 5, 2023. However, the reports from different countries indicate an elevation in the number of COVID-19-related hospitalizations and deaths through the last months. The subvariant XBB.1.5 (Kraken) was the cause of 49.1% of COVID-19 cases by the end of January 2023. Although, the subvariant EG.5 (Eris) has surpassed the XBB.1.5 recently. EG.5 is a close subvariant descending from XBB.1.9.2 subvariant of Omicron. EG.5.1 is a sublineage carrying two crucial spike mutations F456L and Q52H. Up to now, it is not well-established whether its infectivity, severity, and immune evasion have shown any change or not. Also, BA.2.86 another subvariant of Omicron descending from BA.2 bears over 30 mutations which could affect its infectivity and transmissibility. Methods: Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Google were searched with six keywords up to 20 November 2023 and highly reliable research and reports were selected to refer to in this article. Purpose: This brief review aims to overview the most reliable data about EG.5 and BA.2.86 based on scientific evidence. Conclusion: Based on the currently available data these two new subvariants have similar features with currently circulating variants of Omicron and are less immune evasive than ancestral SARS-CoV-2. Background: Upon the emergence of the Eris variant in our country, we aimed to develop an RT-qPCR kit to detect the SARS-CoV-2 Eris variant. Methods: By studying the genome sequences uploaded to GISAID, target regions were designed by focusing on the mutation regions of EG.5 and EG.5.1, which are the main lineage of the Eris variant. When developing the kit, the hydrolysis probe-based detection (e.g., TaqMan®) method was chosen. Target sequences specific to the SARSCoV-2 EG.5 variant were then specifically amplified, with amplification monitored in real time using fluorescent labeled probes. In the study, 470 samples were used, 109 of which were positive for SARS-CoV-2 RNA, from various Hospitals. Results: Of the 109 samples that were positive for SARS-CoV-2 RNA, 67 (61%) were also detected positive for Eris variant RNA. Viral diseases pose a significant threat to public health around the world. SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) was originally identified in Wuhan, China, in 2019. Throughout the epidemic, SARS-CoV-2 has continually changed genetically, giving rise to variants that are distinct from the original virus. SARS-CoV-2 has a high-frequency mutation rate, resulting in more genetic diversity. EG.5/Eris is a subvariant and descendant of Omicron, which remains the world's most prevalent coronavirus strain of current concern. The percentage of EG.5 recorded has steadily increased across the board. Epidemiological week 29 (17-23 July 2023) saw a 17.4% global prevalence of EG.5. Mutations in the virus's genome can cause false-negative results in molecular detection and cause increased transmissibility, morbidity, and mortality due to a reduction in vaccine efficiency. Furthermore, these changes in S-protein structure alter the neutralising ability of neutralising antibodies (Nabs), resulting in a reduction in vaccine efficiency. Therefore, all countries should take efficient infection prevention and control measures as per the guidelines of the world, continental, and their country's health organisations, along with vaccine and treatment investigations. BACKGROUND: The spread of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in Moscow has significantly increased the number of chest computed tomography examinations to establish a diagnosis and assess the treatment efficacy. In Moscow, the new approach to diagnostic imaging associated with COVID-19 caused divergent shifts in the volume and structure of the population radiation burden. This study aimed to bridge the gap in data, as no reliable information about the changes in the structure of diagnostic imaging and the current radiation burden due to COVID-19 in the Moscow population has been reported. AIMS: To evaluate the impact of the pandemic on the computed tomography radiation doses in Moscow medical facilities between 2017 and 2020. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We collected and analyzed the following data: forms No. 3-DOZ completed by the public and private Moscow medical facilities in 20172020; forms No. 30 completed in 20172020; data from the Unified Radiological Information Service for 2020. The study provides details about the annual population radiation exposure and the average individual radiation doses, with a breakdown by anatomic region. RESULTS: The statistical form evaluation elucidated the boost of computed tomography imaging in Moscow, accounting for 31% higher than anticipated. In 2020, the number of chest imaging studies increased almost two-fold compared to the previous periods. Thereby, causing a corresponding increase in the mean effective dose by over two times. CONCLUSION: The results show that the epidemiological situation of 2020 had a profound effect on the changes in the computed tomography-related radiation exposure, which helped us get insight into the diagnostic effect of certain types of computed tomography studies applied to various anatomic regions. The analysis contributed to a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of various statistical forms.

• Eris' eccentric orbit results in 2 atmospheric regimes: a global atm near perihelion and a local atm near aphelion. • A coupled thermal-transport numerical model to simulate thermal and volatile evolution in the LCSA regime is presented. • Volatile transport by local, collisional, sublimation atms (LCSA), even at solar distances of 100 AU, can be significant. • Uniform collapse of a global, nitrogen atmosphere likely cannot explain Eris' anomalous albedo in the present epoch. • Changes of Eris' albedo or color from nitrogen transport may be observable. Kuiper belt object (KBO) Eris is exceptionally bright with a greater visible geometric albedo than any other known KBO. Its infrared reflectance spectrum is dominated by methane, which should form tholins that darken the surface on timescales much shorter than the age of the Solar System. Thus one or more ongoing processes probably maintain its brightness. Eris is predicted to have a primarily nitrogen atmosphere that is in vapor pressure equilibrium with nitrogen-ice and is collisional (not ballistic). Eris's eccentric orbit is expected to result in two atmospheric regimes: (1) a period near perihelion when the atmosphere is global (analogous to the atmospheres of Mars, Triton, and Pluto) and (2) a period near aphelion when only a local atmosphere exists near the warmest region (analogous to the atmosphere of Io). A numerical model developed to simulate Eris's thermal and volatile evolution in the local atmosphere regime is presented. The model conserves energy, mass, and momentum while maintaining vapor pressure equilibrium. It is adaptable to other local, collisional, sublimation atmospheres, which in addition to Io and Eris, may occur on several volatile-bearing KBOs. The model was applied for a limiting case where Eris is fixed at aphelion and has an initial nitrogen-ice mass everywhere equal to the precipitable column of nitrogen in Pluto's atmosphere during the New Horizons encounter (the resultant mass if the Pluto atmosphere collapsed uniformly onto the surface). The model results indicate that (1) transport of nitrogen in the local, collisional, sublimation atmosphere regime is significant, (2) changes of Eris's albedo or color from nitrogen transport may be observable, and (3) uniform collapse of a global, nitrogen atmosphere likely cannot explain Eris's anomalous albedo in the present epoch. Seasonal volatile transport remains a plausible hypothesis to explain Eris's anomalous albedo and geologic processes that renew Pluto's brightest surfaces, such as convection and glaciation, may also be operating on Eris. Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease brought on by the extremely pathogenic and contagious severe acute respiratory syndrome-virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). The agenda for the COVID-19 pandemic is dynamic and includes recent developments. Seven variants under monitoring (VUMs), one variant of interest (VOI), XBB.1.5, and their offspring lineages are currently being actively monitored by WHO. The VUMs are BA.2.75, CH.1.1, BQ.1, XBB (with the exception of XBB.1.5, XBB.1.16, and XBB.1.9.1), XBF, and XBB.1.16. With 95 countries having reported finding XBB.1.5 (VOI), it is still the most common strain worldwide, responsible for 47.9% of cases from epidemiological January to March 2023. Seventy nations discovered XBB.1.5 in February and March 2023 and posted sequencing data to GISAID. Of the 43 nations that uploaded more than 50 sequences, XBB.1.5 prevalence has increased to more than 50% in 11 nations. Over 23000 deaths and 3 million new cases were recorded globally in March and April 2023. Worldwide detection of a new COVID-19 strain has prompted specialists to issue a warning that the virus is "circulating unchecked". The Greek goddess of conflict and discord Eris has inspired the nicknaming of EG 5.1, a subvariant of Omicron. The strain is becoming more prevalent in the USA and cases are increasing in the UK. The severity of each SARS-CoV- 2 variant has been comparable, although a more severe form might develop. Eris is an ancestor of Omicron and exhibits some of its characteristics. This paper uncovers the connotations of the cakes (ἴτρια) mentioned in Sophocles fr. 199 and argues that they provide hitherto overlooked evidence to reinforce the thesis that Eris was a satyr play set at the wedding feast of Peleus and Thetis. The cakes are shown to be compatible with a wedding banquet setting, which is strongly indicative of satyr drama. Finally, it is suggested that Eris herself may have spoken the line. We examine the relevance of tidal heating for large Trans-Neptunian Objects, with a focus on its potential to melt and maintain layers of subsurface liquid water. Depending on their past orbital evolution, tidal heating may be an important part of the heat budget for a number of discovered and hypothetical TNO systems and may enable formation of, and increased access to, subsurface liquid water. Tidal heating induced by the process of despinning is found to be particularly able to compete with heating due to radionuclide decay in a number of different scenarios. In cases where radiogenic heating alone may establish subsurface conditions for liquid water, we focus on the extent by which tidal activity lifts the depth of such conditions closer to the surface. While it is common for strong tidal heating and long lived tides to be mutually exclusive, we find this is not always the case, and highlight when these two traits occur together. We find cases where TNO systems experience tidal heating that is a significant proportion of, or greater than radiogenic heating for periods ranging from100′s of millions to a billion years. For subsurface oceans that contain a small antifreeze component, tidal heating due to very high initial spin states may enable liquid water to be preserved right up to the present day. This article examines the development of the theme of eris in Hesiod and Homer. Starting from the relationship between the destructive strife in the Theogony (225) and the two versions invoked in the Works and Days (11-12), I argue that considering the two forms of strife as echoing zero and positive sum games helps us to identify the cultural and compositional force of eris as cooperative competition. After establishing eris as a compositional theme from the perspective of oral poetics, I then argue that it develops from the perspective of cosmic history, that is, from the creation of the universe in Hesiod's Theogony through the Homeric epics and into its double definition in the Works and Days. To explore and emphasize how this complementarity is itself a manifestation of eris, I survey its deployment in our major extant epic poems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Kuiper belt objects (KBOs) with absolute magnitude less than 3 (radius ≳500 km), the dwarf planets, have a range of different ice/rock ratios, and are more rock-rich than their smaller counterparts. Many of these objects have moons, which suggests that collisions may have played a role in modifying their compositions. We show that the dwarf planets fall into two categories when analysed by their mean densities and satellite-to-primary size ratio. Systems with large moons, such as Pluto/Charon and Orcus/Vanth, can form in low-velocity grazing collisions in which both bodies retain their compositions. We propose that these systems retain a primordial composition, with a density of about 1.8 g cm-3. Triton, thought to be a captured KBO, could have lost enough ice during its early orbital evolution to explain its rock-enrichment relative to the primordial material. Systems with small moons, Eris, Haumea, and Quaoar, formed from a different type of collision in which icy material, perhaps a few tens of percent of the total colliding mass, is lost. The fragments would not remain in physical or dynamical proximity to the parent body. The ice loss process has not yet been demonstrated numerically, which could be due to the paucity of KBO origin simulations, or missing physical processes in the impact models. If our hypothesis is correct, we predict that large KBOs with small moons should be denser than the primordial material, and that the mean density of Orcus should be close to the primordial value. The article presents a case study on Wolfram syndrome (WFS) which is Diabetes Insipidus, Diabetes Mellitus, Optic Atrophy and Deafness (DIDMOAD) disorder. Topics discussed include cause of syndrome with the mutation of two genes WFS1 and CISD2 which encodes for transmembrane proteins in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) analysis to identify the cause, and use of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique for the same.

Early recurrent ischemic stroke (ERIS), as well as symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (SICH) and progressive stroke (PS), causes early neurological deterioration. Here we report a case of a patient with right internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusion immediately after intravenous recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) treatment for left middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusion. A 79-year-old woman with drowsiness, aphasia and right hemiparesis was brought to our hospital. MRI showed acute infarction in the left internal capsule and occlusion of the left middle cerebral artery. rt-PA was administered intravenously to the patient 2 hours after the onset of the event. Her consciousness disturbance and aphasia improved, but the right hemiparesis did not. We performed emergent endovascular thrombectomy, but the right ICA (cervical portion) was occluded during the surgery. Finally, the endovascular thrombectomy achieved the recanalization of the left MCA and right ICA. When performing intravenous thrombolysis, we should beware the possibility of re-occlusion and prepare for interventional treatment.

This work addresses an aspect of Chilean voseo that has not yet received much attention: the coexistence of different vos-related forms that express the lexical significatum of the verb ser (~ "to be") in present indicative. Specifically, this work inquires into the possibility that the recently observed substitution of soi by erís is a phenomenon of verbal therapeutics, as defined by Jules Gilliéron. Taking several linguistic data into account, it is here maintained that said possibility is a well-grounded one, and therefore deserves serious consideration in the study of Chilean voseo.
