Bu makalede sekülerleşme ve din ilişkisi sekülerleşme teorileri çerçevesinde konu edinilmektedir. Çalışmada “Türkiye’de ne tür bir sekülerleşmenin gerçekleştiği?” sorusuna cevap aranmaktadır. Din ve seküler yaşam arasındaki ilişkiyi nitel verilerden yararlanılarak ortaya koymak araştırmanın amacını teşkil etmektedir. Dinî ve seküler yaşamın birlikteliği iddiasını dillendiren bu makalenin günümüzde dindarlık ile ilgili yapılan tartışmalara katkıda bulunacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmada meta-analiz metodu takip edilmiştir. 2000 yılından itibaren nitel yöntemle yapılmış, sekülerleşme ve din temalı doktora ve yüksek lisans tezleri araştırmanın evrenini teşkil etmiştir. Toplamda 40 civarında lisansüstü tez incelenmiş ve bu tezlerin bir kısmından gerekli veriler sağlanmıştır. Veriler toplanırken bölge, yaş, cinsiyet gibi sınırlamalar dikkate alınmamıştır.

Background/Aim: An increasing number of patients and an ophthalmologist shortage in some areas necessitate reaching more patients in a shorter time to decrease the burden of devastating visual complications of diabetic retinopathy (DR). Screening and diagnosing DR using fundus photographs may save time and effort. In this study, we aimed to report the results of DR screening in a Turkish treatment-naive diabetes mellitus (DM) patient group by examining fundus photographs taken with ETDRS protocol and compare them with clinical examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT) findings. Methods: Two hundred and ninety-two eyes of 150 DR treatment-naive DM patients were included in this cross-sectional study. Complete ophthalmic examination was performed by a single examiner. Fundus photograph acquisition according to ETDRS protocol and OCT were performed by an experienced technician. Fundus photographs were evaluated by the same examiner who was blinded to patient names, at the end of the study period. Results: Two hundred and ninety-two eyes of 150 DR treatment-naive DM patients’ findings were evaluated. According to stereoscopic fundus examination, 76 (26%) eyes showed no signs of DR, 76 (26%) eyes showed mild non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR) signs, 44 eyes (15.1%) showed moderate NPDR signs, 78 eyes (26.7%) showed severe NPDR signs, and 18 eyes (6.2%) showed PDR signs. According to images acquired with the ETDRS protocol, 79 (27.1%) eyes showed no signs of DR, 81 (27.7%) eyes showed mild NPDR signs, 50 eyes (17.1%) showed moderate NPDR signs, 68 eyes (23.3%) showed severe NPDR signs, and 14 eyes (4.8%) showed PDR signs. Türkiye’de 2000’li yılların başından itibaren büyü, cin, şeytan konulu Türk korku filmlerinde artış gözlemlenmektedir. Bu filmlerde genel olarak İslâmiyet’te de kabul edilen görülmeyen varlıklarla ilgili inanca ve popüler dindarlıkta rastlayabildiğimiz diğer inanışlara ait ögeler bulunmaktadır. Diğer bir ifade ile Türk korku sinemasında kitabî din ile popüler din bir araya gelmektedir. Bu çalışmada Türk korku sineması popüler din perspektifinde incelenmektedir. Dinî ögelerin bu tür filmlerde nasıl sunulduğu ve konumlandırıldığı, Türk korku sinemasının nasıl bir dindarlık anlayışından beslendiği ve hangi din anlayışını yaydığı çalışmanın problemlerini teşkil etmektedir. Makale dinî unsurların Türk korku sinemasında nasıl yer aldığını ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma Türk korku sinemasında dine nasıl yer verildiğinin anlaşılması bakımından önem taşımaktadır. Çalışma için bu tarz Türk korku sinemasından yedi film rastgele örneklem yöntemi ile seçilip izlenmiş ve filmler belirli sorular çerçevesinde betimsel analize tabi tutulmuştur.Türk korku filmlerinde geleneksel Türk kültürü ile İslâmî ögeler harmanlanmaktadır. Türk korku sinemasında Türk toplumunun aşina olduğu hem eski Türk inanışlarına ait ögeler ve hem de yüzeysel olarak kitabî dine ait İslâmî içerikler ve korku motifleri sentezlenerek izleyiciye sunulmaktadır. Bu bakımdan Türk korku sineması popüler dindarlığın yeniden inşasında ve toplumda yayılmasında rol üstlenmektedir. Popüler dindarlık daha çok korkudan, kötülükler, felaketler ve efsanelerden beslenir. Hastalık, musibet, ölüm korkusu veya bireyin bu tür olaylar karşısında çaresizliği kişiyi popüler dindarlığa sevk etmektedir. Türk korku sineması cin, şeytan, büyü ve dinî ögeleri, kötü, korkutucu olaylar ve mitler eşliğinde seyirciye aktararak popüler dindarlığı pekiştirmektedir.

Purpose: Poor bimanual performance is usually a major functional impairment for children with unilateral cerebral palsy (CP). This study was performed to examine the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of the Caregiver Functional Use Survey (CFUS), which assesses manual function of children with unilateral CP.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin mesleki farkındalık düzeylerinin incelenmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi Fizyoterapi ve Rehabilitasyon Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencileri dahil edildi. Öğrencilerin yaşve cinsiyet bilgileri ile ekonomik durum algısı (iyi-orta-kötü) ve medeni durum (evli-bekar) bilgileri kaydedildi. Öğrencilerin mesleki farkındalık durumları araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan 17 soru ile değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Çalışmaya 95 öğrenci davet edildi 89 öğrenci çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katıldı. Yaş ortalaması 20,16 ± 2,83 yıl idi. Öğrencilerin 17 soruya verdiği yanıtlar incelendiğinde; %41,6’sının bölümü ilk tercih olarak seçtiği, %96,6’sının kendi isteği doğrultusunda kayıt yaptırdığı, %64’ünün bölüm ile ilgili bilgiye internet ile ulaştığı,%90,8’inin Türkiye Fizyoterapistler Gününün 8 Nisan tarihinde, %74,1’inin Dünya Fizyoterapistler Gününün 8 Eylül tarihinde kutlandığını bildiği, %36’sının tanıdığı popüler/ünlü/medyatik bir fizyoterapistin var olduğu, %10,1’inin fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon hizmeti aldığı, %49,4’ünün mezuniyet sonrası yüksel lisans ve doktora programları hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğu saptandı.Sonuç: Çalışmamızda öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun ilgi alanına girdiği için bu bölümü seçtiği, bölümü ilk tercih olarak seçtiği, kendi isteği doğrultusunda kayıt yaptırdığı, bölümde okumaktan memnun olduğu, aile ve yakın çevrenin bölümde okunulmasını çok olumlu gördüğü saptandı., Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the occupational awareness levels of first year physiotherapy and rehabilitation students. Materials and Methods: First grade students of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department were included in the study. Students' age and gender information, perception of economic status (good-medium-bad) and marital status (married-single) were recorded. The occupational awareness of the students was evaluated with 17 questions prepared by the researchers. Results: 95 students were invited to the study 89 students participated in the study voluntarily. The average age was 20,16 ± 2,83 years. When the answers given by the students to 17 questions are examined; 41.6% chose the section as their first choice, 96.6% registered with their own request, 64% accessed information about the program via the internet, 90.8% of Physiotherapists in the history of Turkey Day 8 April, the World Day of Physiotherapists of 74.1% that he knows is celebrated on September 8, 36% of them had a popular / famous / mediatic physiotherapist, 10.1% received physiotherapy and rehabilitation services, and 49.4% had information about postgraduate and doctorate programs was determined. Conclusion: In our study, it was determined that most of the students chose this department because it was in their field of interest, chose the department as their first choice, enrolled in the department according to their own wishes, was pleased to study in the department, and the family and close circle saw it very positively.

Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Bu araştırmada akran aracılığıyla sunulan eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretim yönteminin; a) özel gereksinimli bireylerin akademik becerileri öğrenmelerine etkisi, b) özel gereksinimli bireylerin öğrendikleri akademik becerileri, öğretim tamamlandıktan bir ve üç hafta sonra sürdürebilmelerine etkisi, c) tipik gelişim gösteren öğrencilerin, özel gereksinimli bireylere yönelik sosyal kabul düzeyleri üzerine etkisi, d) akran aracılığıyla sunulan eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretimine yönelik öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma, tipik gelişim gösteren üç dördüncü sınıf öğrencisi ve hafif düzeyde zihinsel yetersizlik tanısı almış üç, özel eğitim sınıfı öğrencisi ile Konya ili Selçuklu ilçesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada tek denekli araştırma yöntemlerinden, denekler arası yoklama evreli çoklu yoklama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma başlama düzeyi verilerinin alınması, akran aracılığıyla sunulan eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretimin yapılması, öğretim sonu verilerinin toplanması ve izleme verilerinin toplanması şeklinde dört aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak besinler ve özellikleri ünitesinin amaçlarının yer aldığı değerlendirme formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler grafik ile görsel olarak sunularak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular sonucunda; kullanılan akran aracılı öğretim yönteminin besinler ve özellikleri ünitesini öğretmede etkili olduğu, öğrencilerin öğrendikleri becerileri öğretim oturumları tamamlandıktan bir ve üç hafta sonra sürdürdükleri ve öğreten akranların, özel gereksinimli öğrenen akrana eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretim yöntemini güvenilir bir şekilde uyguladığı, görülmüştür. Araştırmada akran aracılığıyla eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretim yöntemiyle sunulan akademik beceri öğretiminin; tipik gelişim gösteren öğrencilerin, özel gereksinimli bireylere yönelik sosyal kabul düzeyleri üzerine etkisi ile ilgili veriler sosyal kabul ölçeği ile toplanmış ve betimsel analiz yapılarak yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerde tipik gelişim gösteren akranların özel gereksinimli akranlarına yönelik sosyal kabullerinin arttığı görülmüştür. Sosyal geçerlik bulguları sonucunda ise öğrencilerin ve öğretmenlerin akran aracılığıyla sunulan eşzamanlı ipucuyla öğretim yöntemi hakkındaki görüşlerinin olumlu olduğu görülmüştür., In this study, I have discussed and stated a) the impact of simultaneous prompting method through peers on individuals with special needs and their learning process in terms of academic skills, b) the impact of simultaneous prompting method through peers on individuals with special needs and their process of maintaining the academic skills, which have been learnt, for one to three weeks once the learning process is over, c) the impact of the students who improve in accordance with the standards on the level of social acknowledgement towards individuals with special needs d) the views of students and teachers on simultaneous prompting method through peers. The study has been conducted in Selcuklu, Konya with three fourth graders who show progress at a standard pace and three others being students in a special education class, who have been diagnosed with mild intellectual disabilities. In this study, among all other single subject research models, multiple probe design among subjects has been carried out. The research has been carried out at four stages; collecting the baseline data, conducting the teaching process by means of simultaneous prompting method through peers, collecting data at the end of the teaching period and collecting the tracking data. In the study, an assessment form, which includes the objectives of the unit called nutrients and their functions, has been used in order to collect data. The data gathered has been analyzed visually through diagrams. As a result of the findings gathered, it has been observed that the peer mediated teaching method has been effective in terms of learning the unit called the nutrients and their functions. Furthermore, it has been spotted that thanks to this method, even after they have completed the sessions, the students maintain the skills they have learned for one to three weeks. Also, it has been recognized that the peer tutors have credibly applied the simultaneous prompting method so as to teach their peers with special needs. In the research, data related to the impact of teaching of the academic skills which have been offered through the simultaneous prompting method on students who develop at a standard pace and their level of social acknowledgement towards individuals with special needs, has been gathered via social acknowledgement scale and has been interpreted via descriptive analysis. Through the data gathered, it has been observed that the social acknowledgement of the students, who develop at a standard pace, towards their peers with special needs has increased. As for the findings of social validity, it has also been observed that the reviews of the teachers and the students on simultaneous prompting method have been favorable.

Background/Aim: Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (EDCR) has many advantages over the external method, with comparable anatomical and functional success rates. Delayed wound healing is reported to be associated with older age in previous studies. In this study, we aimed to assess the effect of age on the functional and anatomic success of our EDCR results.Methods: A total of 55 patients with nasolacrimal duct obstruction (NLDO) were included in this retrospective cohort study. Patients were managed with either EDCR alone or EDCR combined with nasal septoplasty in our hospital. The patients were divided into two groups as Group 1 (20-54 years old) and Group 2 (55-77 years old) according to age. To compare endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy (endo-DCR) + septoplasty with endo-DCR alone and determine the relationship between sinusitis and endo-DCR surgery results.Our study included 55 patients with nasolacrimal duct obstruction (NLDO) between June 2017 and June 2019. Patients were divided into two groups as endo-DCR alone and endo-DCR + septoplasty. Patients' symptoms were thoroughly evaluated and scored using the Lund-Mackay (LM) score and the Lund-Kennedy (LK) system. According to LK endoscopy scoring; those with a score of 0 were determined as group 1 (40 (58.8%) cases); and those with a score greater than 0 were determined as group 2 (28(41.2%) cases). According to LM CT scoring system, cases whose score was 0 were determined as group 1 (44(%66.2) cases); those greater than 0 were determined as group 2 (23(33.8%) cases).A total of 68 endo-DCR surgeries, 42 unilateral and 13 bilateral, were performed. Forty one cases (60.3%) were managed with endo-DCR alone, and septoplasty surgery was performed in 27 (39.7%) cases in addition to endo-DCR due to septum deviation. There was no statistically significant difference in functional and anatomical success between the two groups in terms of surgery type (anatomical successLK endoscopy and LM CT scores did not show any influence on functional and anatomic outcomes in endo-DCR cases.

We aimed to investigate the prevalence of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) in patients with migraine by screening for papilledema. We have included all the patients with migraine who applied to our neurology clinic during December 2019 and accepted to participate in the study. The demographic and clinical characteristics including migraine subtype (episodic/chronic), headache frequency per month, and headache characteristics of all patients were interrogated. Besides, the presence of fibromyalgia (FM) and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) was noted. Fundus examination was performed in all of the patients and the presence of papilledema was noted. Overall, 158 consecutive migraineurs were included in this study. The mean age of the group was 35.9 ± 9.9 and the female/male ratio was 134/24. Papilledema was determined in 10 (6%) patients. There was a past medical history of having IIH in one of these patients. In four of the patients, the diagnosis of IIH was newly established. Comparative analyses between episodic migraineurs and chronic migraineurs revealed that female gender was more prevalent in chronic migraineurs (p = 0.00) and the comorbidities of FM and CFS were more common in chronic migraineurs. Remarkably, papilledema was found to be more common in chronic migraineurs. The results of the logistic regression analyses revealed that obesity was the only predictor for the presence of papilledema (p = 0.014). Our results may suggest that IIH should be kept in mind as a notable comorbidity in migraineurs, particularly in the subgroup of obese patients with chronic migraine.

Mass media have an important role in producing and popularizing popular culture. Cinema, one of the mass media, can be effective in the reproduction and dissemination of both popular culture and popular religion and piety. In this article, Turkish horror films are discussed in the context of popular religion. After the 2000s, it has been observed that Turkish horror films on the theme of magic, genie, and devil have been increasing. Some films produced in this area are attracting great attention. In these films, there are elements of beliefs that are not commonly accepted in the religion of Islam, especially the belief of invisible creatures and beliefs that are common in popular religion. Considering only the names of these films with considerable audience, it can be understood that religious elements and Turkish horror cinema were brought side by side. In these films, it is important to examine how religious elements are included, what meanings they are attributed to, and in general which religion horror film is used by this Turkish cinema.In the context of popular religiosity, this article addresses the following questions: What are the elements of popular religiosity in Turkish horror films? In Turkish horror films, how are the beings such as gin and demon shown? How do religious elements take place in Turkish horror cinema? What kind of religiousness is spread in Turkish horror cinema?The aim of this article is to show how religion and religious elements take place in the Turkish horror films that were released after 2000’s and which religious concepts these films are based on. In other words, the aim of the study is to determine what kind of religious belief and religiosity are produced and disseminated in the horror cinema, to show how the location of the supernatural beings which are shown as the source of fear and their place in the religious beliefs in the films. The article is important in understanding how religion takes place in Turkish horror films and how it pays for religiousness and how it contributes to religiosity. When asked to put forward the religious factor appears to be the influence of religious beliefs in Turkey should also be considered.In this article, selected films were subjected to descriptive analysis. The data were categorized according to previously determined questions and deduced. In the qualitative analysis method, the data can be arranged according to the themes raised by the research questions or by considering the questions or dimensions used in the interview and observation stages. A thematic framework was created by asking questions to the films, and the data obtained were defined and processed according to this framework. The following questions were directed to the films:I. What are the assets used as fear elements in films and how are they depicted?II. What are the causes of fear and bad events and who is affected by these events?III. How to try to escape the evil, bad events?IV. How are religious items presented in horror cinema?V. What is the message with the intention of fear element?VII. What superstition beliefs are included in horror films?In the type of horror movies directed in Turkey have increased after the 2000s. The films produced in this area have leaned on the popular religion / folk When universal religions meet with different societies, they do not omit such societies’ traditional thoughts, cultures and beliefs in a moment. In time, while some beliefs and practices are abandoned and forgotten, traditional beliefs continue to exist in harmony with the new religion.Popular religiosity is mostly fed by fear, evil and myth. People are prone to popular religiosity and participate in rituals related to disasters and illnesses, to protect themselves from the harassment of supernatural beings, to be sure of evils, to achieve a secular set of ambitions. Beliefs and practices such as magic and amulets also play an important role in popular religiousness.A closer look at the Turkish horror cinema shows that popular beliefs are widely used. In most of the films that appear in this field, supernatural beings such as gin and Satan are very different from the narratives in the basic sources of Islam but are presented in accordance with popular belief. In these films, these assets are given much more detailed information than the information given in the relevant religious texts and these assets are shown to be stronger than they are. The existence and influence of magic are also approved by Qur’an and important narrations about this subject can be found in there.Besides in Turkish horror cinema, it is given the impression that such films are resting on a religious ground by reminding the verses and narratives related to it.However, the influence of magic on films is overrated and such films use magical beliefs appropriately. Thus, Turkish horror cinema plays an important role in the reproduction and popularization of popular piety by literally replacing the oral narratives in society.Millions of viewers of this genre films find audiences, to be followed with a great sense of appreciation that popular religiosity in Turkish society and demonstrate that continue to exist as a reality. As a result, we can say that because of the contact of the religion with society, it occurs a perception of religion and piety differ from the official religion with the influence of the culture and tradition of the society in question. This interpretation of religion rests on the problem of evil and fear. Religious elements in this perception of religion are positioned differently than they should be.
