We have investigated a conjunction of [gamma]-rigid and [gamma]-stable collective motion of odd-A nuclei around the critical point of spherical to axially deformed shape phase transition. Our model is made on even-even nuclei with the ES - X(3) [union] X(5) - D critical point symmetry that is coupled to a single nucleon in a j orbit. The Davidson potential for the [beta] part is applied to the [gamma]-rigid and [gamma]-stable part of a Bohr-Hamiltonian in the presence of a deformation-dependent mass term and spin-orbit interaction. The solutions provide baselines for odd-mass nuclei with the ES - X(3|2j + 1) [union] X(5|2j + 1) - D symmetry as Bose-Fermi dynamical symmetry. The level structure and transition patterns for some special j is estimated in detail. Key words: Bohr Hamiltonian, transition patterns, deformation-dependent mass, Bose-Fermi symmetry. In this research, we have investigated features of the ionizing radiation shielding of glasses, PbO Al2O3 B2O3 SiO2 Bi2O3, in the photon energy of 15 keV to 15 MeV. We have calculated mass attenuation coefficient (MAC) by using the Monte Carlo simulations such as Geant4 tool, XMuDat and XCOM computing programs. In the continuation of the investigation of the protection feature, we have obtained the linear attenuation coefficient (LAC), half-value layer (HVL), tenth-value layer (TVL), and mean free path (MFP). The photon flux passing through the samples in different thicknesses of chosen materials in front of the 241Am - Be radioactive source has been shown. At the end, the energy spectrum of neutrons passing have been shown through selected samples and the ratio of transiting neutrons in the presence of samples to the ratio of transiting neutrons in the absence of selected samples and in different thicknesses. In this study, a group of nickel/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites has been investigated in terms of nuclear radiation shielding properties. These nickel-containing nanotubes were considered to achieve valuable results regarding radiation protection, so a detailed investigation was carried out. We have calculated mass attenuation coefficient (MAC), linear attenuation coefficient (LAC), half value layer (HVL), tenth value layer (TVL), mean free path (MFP), equivalent atomic number ( Z eq ) , effective atomic number ( Z eff ) , effective electron density ( N eff ) , ratio ( μ Compton / μ Total ) and exposure buildup factor (EBF). The obtained results are compared with the values obtained from the XMuDat program, which are in good agreement with each other. We have also analyzed them. Finally, the results obtained for nanotubes are shown in appropriate figures. In this work, we have simulated the group of nickel/multi-walled carbon nanotube composites as nuclear radiation shielding. In this research, using Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation tool, we have investigated the shielding properties of aluminum oxide, magnesium fluoride, aluminum fluoride, titanium dioxide, magnesium diboride, magnesium silicide, calcium disilicate, and Fluental in the energy range of 0.015 to 10 MeV. In this review, we have calculated and analyzed the linear attenuation coefficient (LAC) and mass attenuation coefficients (MAC), half-value layer (HVL), tenth value layer (TVL), mean free path (MFP), and effective atomic number, effective electron density, equivalent atomic number and buildup factor. In the continuation of the work, we have compared the calculated results of mass attenuation coefficient by Geant4 Monte Carlo simulation tool with the experimental results of others and with the simulation data by XMuDat code, and they have a very low relative error and are in good agreement with each other. Due to high antimicrobial activity against numerous microorganisms, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are being utilized in various areas. Microwave-accelerated AgNPs synthesis using Corylus avellana leaf extract was evaluated. Based on randomly central composite design, 13 mixture solutions containing different amounts of the prepared extract (0.10–0.90 mL) and 1 mM silver nitrate solution (15–25 mL) were prepared and exposed to microwave irradiation for 180 s. Response surface methodology was utilized to evaluate the effects of the two independent variables on particle size and concentration of the synthesized AgNPs, as manifested in the place of broad emission peak (λ max) and its absorbance unit, respectively. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis indicated that the two hydroxyl and carboxylic acid functional groups with reducing activity existed in the prepared extract. Dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy analyses revealed that the formed spherical AgNPs using optimum amounts of C. avellana leaf extract (0.9 mL) and 1 mM silver nitrate solution (25 mL) had minimum particle size (103.5 nm) and polydispersity index (PDI) (0.209), and maximum concentration (140 ppm) and zeta potential (−21.8 mV). Results indicated that the formed AgNPs had high fungicidal effects against the spoiled fungi of Colletotrichum coccodes and Penicillium digitatum.

The Schrödinger equation is solved for some of the q-deformed physical potentials within the framework of supersymmetric approach and supersymmetric Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation method. The energy levels are obtained with the corresponding normalized wave functions in terms of hypergeometric functions. The energy equations for some special cases of these potentials are discussed, and some of the thermodynamic quantities of the canonical system and the optical quantities of the two-level system are calculated for one of the potentials.
