Recent advancements in information and communication technology is enabling a significant revolution in e-Health research and industry. In the case of personal medical data sharing, data security and convenience are crucial requirements to the interaction and collaboration of electronic medical record (EMR) systems. However, it&rsquo, s hard for current systems to meet these requirements as they have inconsistent structures in terms of security policies and access control models. A new solution direction is essential to enhance data-accessing while regulating it with government mandates in privacy and security to ensure the accountability of the medical usage data. Blockchain seems to pave the way for revolution in the conventional healthcare industry benefiting by its unique features such as data privacy and transparency. In this paper, a blockchain-based medical platform using a smart contract is proposed to secure the EMR management. This approach provides patients a comprehensive, immutable log and easy access to their medical information across different departments within the hospital. A case study for hospital is built on a permissioned network, and a series of experimental tests are performed to demonstrate the usability and efficiency of the designed platform. Lastly, a benchmark study by leveraging various performance metrics is made and the outcomes indicate that the designed platform surpasses the ability of existing works in various aspects. The results of this work reveal that the proposed solution has the great potential to accelerate the development of a decentralized digital healthcare ecosystem.

Dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) is the scheduling algorithm that changes the operating clock frequency of the processor according to the supplied voltage. This is very effective method to improve the power efficiency of embedded systems which use operating system. In this paper, we apply dynamic voltage scaling scheme to scaling scheme of real-time operating system. This estimates the amount of the task which will executed next time slot, then adjust the supplying voltage and clock frequency to improve system performance.

In the IEEE 802.15.3-based HR-WPAN(High Rate Wireless Personal Area Networks), the selection of PNC is based on the capability of each DEV in the piconet. The selected DEV playing the role of a PNC will consume the most amount of energy among the DEVs in the piconet. Since the energy consumption of the PNC is closely related to its frame transmission range in the piconet, it is important to consider the relative location of each DEV when selecting the PNC among DEVs. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to the PNC selection procedure in the piconet that attempts to position the PNC at the center of the topology. By doing so, it can minimize the total transmission distances from the PNC to all other DEVs, resulting in saving energy for the PNC and therefore extending the life-time of the PNC as well as the piconet. We describe our method in detail and present experimental results that show the significant improvement in the energy saving.
