The aim of the study was to study the clinical and laboratory features of acute respiratory viral infections in hospitalized children.The analysis of medical records of 623 patients admitted to the clinic, aged from 1 month to 16 years 11 months 29 days, was carried out. All patients were diagnosed with ARVI on the basis of clinical symptoms with laboratory confirmation in the study of naso- or oropharyngeal smears by PCR.Three groups of children were identified: with respiratory syncytial (RSV) — 384 children (61,6%), metapneumovirus — 142 (22,8%) and bocavirus — 97 (15,6%) infections. It has been established that in the general structure of acute respiratory viral infections in hospitalized children, RSV and rhinovirus are the leading pathogens — 28,8—48,6% and 22,1—41,3%, respectively, depending on the calendar year. The main clinical form was acute bronchitis in 80,5% of cases of confirmed infection, with RS-viral etiology in 79,5% (n = 287) of cases, with metapneumo- and bocavirus infections in 85,6% (n = 95) and 77,8% (n = 56) of children, respectively. Bronchiolitis was characteristic of RSV infection in 10,5% of cases (n = 38). From 10 to 19,4% of cases, the course of these viral infections was complicated by the development of pneumonia.

Novel molecular methods allowed us to reassess microbial diversity of the respiratory microbiota and its role for the host. A new look at the respiratory microbiota as a potential pathogenic agent opens up new perspectives for understanding the etiopathogenesis of infectious diseases. The microbiota of the lower respiratory tract, which includes various bacteria, viruses, bacteriophages, and fungi, is particularly interesting. A number of studies analyzed upper and lower respiratory tract microbiota in patients with pneumonia and found that it was often challenging to identify a single causative agent of pneumonia from the standpoint of the concept that ‘microbiota is a pathogen’. The different etiology of pneumonia is likely to be associated with specific patterns of respiratory dysbiosis. Patients with pneumonia tend to have lower species diversity and greater bacterial microbiota density. Furthermore, there is a positive correlation between bacterial density of the rhinopharyngeal microbiota and severity of pneumonia. A number of microbial profiles were found to be associated with pneumonia, including those with a high relative abundance of lactobacilli and predominance of Rothia and Streptococcus pneumoniae (pseudopneumoniae). However, no protective commensal microbiota profile has been yet found. Treatment of respiratory dysbiosis with inhaled and nasal probiotics appears promising, but it requires further studies. The muon g-2 anomaly showing about 4σ deviation between the Standard Model (SM) prediction and the experiment is one of the most promising signals for physics beyond the SM. Also the hadronic uncertainties are limiting the accuracy of the SM prediction. We present the role of recent results, obtained with CMD-3, SND, and KEDR detectors at e +e − colliders VEPP-2000 (0.15÷1 GeV/beam) and VEPP-4M (1÷5 GeV/beam) in Novosibirsk, Russia, in improving the evaluations of hadronic vacuum polarization.

The Novosibirsk FEL facility includes three FELs operating in the terahertz, far-, and mid- infrared spectral ranges. It has rather long history, but its potential has not been fully revealed so far. The first FEL of this facility has been operating for users of terahertz radiation since 2004. It remains the world's most powerful sources of coherent narrow- band radiation in its wavelength range (90 – 340 µm). The second FEL was commissioned in 2009. Now it operates in the range of 35 – 80 µm, but we plan to replace its undulator soon with a new one, and its short wavelength boundary will be shifted down to 15 µm. The third FEL was commissioned in 2015 to cover the wavelength range of 5 – 20 µm. Its undulator comprises three separate sections. Such lattice is suited very well to demonstrate the new off-mirror way of radiation outcoupling in an FEL oscillator (so called electron outcoupling), which we also plan for near future. We also intend to improve the accelerator injection system. As a result, the average electron beam current and consequently the radiation power of all the three FELs will increase. In this paper, we present an overview of the facility and discuss our recent achievements and future plans.

This paper reports a current status of the measurements of the hadronic cross sections in the c.m. energy range from 0.32 to 2.0 GeV with the CMD-3 detector at the VEPP-2000 electron-positron collider. The overall size of the data, acquired by the CMD-3 in the runs of 2010-2013 and 2017-2018 years, is about 160~$\rm pb^{-1}$. The preliminary results of data analysis for various exclusive modes of $e^+e^-{\to}hadrons$ are described.

Novosibirsk FEL facility is based on the first in the world multi-turn energy recovery linac (ERL). It comprises three FELs (stages). FELs on the first and the second tracks were commissioned in 2004 and 2009 respectively and operate for users now. The third stage FEL is installed on the fourth track of the ERL. It includes three undulator sections and 40-meters-long optical cavity. The design tuning range of this FEL is from 5 to 20 microns and the design average power at bunch repetition rate 3.74 MHz is about 1 kW. Recent results of the third stage FEL commissioning are reported.

The high-power free electron laser (FEL) facility NovoFEL has been created at Budker INP. Its wavelength can be tuned over a wide range in terahertz and infrared spectrum regions. This FEL uses a multi-turn energy recovery linac with five straight sections as a source of electron beam. Three sections are used for three FELs which operate in different wavelength ranges (the first at 90-240 μm; the second at 37 – 80 μm; the third at 5 – 20 μm). The first and second FELs were commissioned in 2003 and 2009, respectively. They operate for users now. The third FEL is installed on the fourth accelerator track, which is the last one; the electron energy is maximal here. This FEL comprises three undulator sections and a 40-m optical cavity. The first lasing of this FEL was obtained in the summer of 2015. The radiation wavelength was 9 μm and the average power was about 100 W. Radiation of the third FEL was delivered to the user stations, and the first user shifts were performed recently. The results of the commissioning of the third FEL, the current status of the first and second FELs and future development prospects are presented.

This report is devoted to the recent results of the study of the processes e+e− → KSKL, K+K−, π+π−2π0, 2π+2π−, ηγ at the ϕ-meson region with the CMD-3 detector at the VEPP-2000 collider. From the combined analysis of KSKL and K+K− final states the ϕ-meson parameters were measured, and the obtained ratio of gϕK+K− and gϕKSKL couplings was found to be compatible with the isospin symmetry. From the analyzes of the π+π−2π0 and 2π+2π− final states the branching ratios ℬ(ϕ → π+π−2π0) and ℬ(ϕ → 2π+2π−) were determined.

The article is devoted to the system of the Radio Frequency power transfer and distribution between accelerating cavities of the ERL for FEL of the Siberian center of SR and THz Radiation, SB RAS, Novosibirsk. The system of dividing is built on the basis of a rectangular waveguide, associated with each cavity of a coaxial line by the coaxial-to-waveguide adapter (CWA). It is shown that under a certain choice of waveguide sizes and CWA, the equivalent circuit of the CWA can be represented by a current source. The analysis of the properties of such a system has been carried out and shown its advantages. Also it is discussed the experimental results and the experience of the operation of the device. The article presents the basic design parameters of a waveguide divider 600 kW of continuous power, running at a frequency of 180.4 MHz

Novosibirsk free electron laser (FEL) facility contains three FELs operating in the wavelength range 8–240 micron at average power up to 0.5 kW and peak power about 1 MW. Radiation users works at 6 user stations performing biological, chemical, physical and medical research.
