This article focuses on the show titled "Fifteen Americans," held at the Museum of Modern Art in the U.S. in 1952. Enough of the work of each of fifteen artists is displayed to give a fair sample of recent accomplishment. The author talks about some of those fifteen artists whose work seems to him to be impressive. Artist Herbert Ferber is admirably lucid on the space-piercing propensities of sculpture he admires, Herbert Katzman, Herman Rose and William Baziotes are all refreshingly modest, Irving Kriesberg is engagingly clever and Edward Corbett's statement is a model of conciseness.
