ObjectiveTo investigate the contamination levels of indicator polychlorinated biphenyls （PCBs） in pork in China and the dietary exposure and risks of Chinese residents.MethodsThe concentration of seven indicator PCBs （PCB 28， PCB 52， PCB 101， PCB 118， PCB 138， PCB 153， and PCB 180） in 203 pork samples from 13 provinces （autonomous regions， centrally administered municipality） in China in 2020 as monitoring sites were analyzed by combined isotope dilution-gas chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry. The health risk of the population exposure of indicator PCBs through pork was assessed in conjunction with date on pork consumption in each province.ResultsThe mean concentrations of the seven indicator PCBs （∑7PCBs） in pork ranged from 0.053 （Guangxi） to 0.826 ng/g fat （Zhejiang）， and P95 concentrations ranged from 0.091 （Guangxi） to 2.702 ng/g fat （Zhejiang）. PCB 28 and PCB 52 were the main fingerprint features. The mean and P95 levels of ∑7PCBs ingested daily by Chinese residents through pork consumption were 0.062±0.076 （ng/kg·BW） and 0.158±0.207 （ng/kg·BW）， respectively， and the exposure risk index （ERI） was less than 1.ConclusionThe contamination level of ∑7PCBs in pork in China， as well as the health risk of residents exposed to indicator PCBs through a pork diet was low.

Against the background of addressing global climate change, hydrogen has attracted much attention because of its characteristics of being clean, carbon-free and efficient.In view of China's resource endowment, hydrogen demand and emission reduction demand, the integrated application of coal-to-hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization and storage(CCUS)technology is of great significance to China's low-carbon energy transformation.The development status, opportunities and challenges of integrated application of coal-to-hydrogen and CCUS technology in China were analyzed systematically in this study to provide relevant suggestions for the development of coal-to-hydrogen with low-carbon emission in China.The results showed that: ①Compared with other hydrogen production technologies, coal-to-hydrogen with CCUS has significant cost advantages; ②Compared with hydrogen production from renewable energy, carbon footprint is the weakness of coal-to-hydrogen, even though CCUS technology can reduce carbon emissions by about 90 %; ③Xinjiang, Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia can be the first areas to deploy coal-to-hydrogen with CCUS technology; ④The challenges of coal-to-hydrogen with CCUS mainly include lack of public recognition and the competition with renewable energy.In the future, China should strengthen the top-level design and publicity of coal-to-hydrogen with CCUS technology, actively promote the research, development and demonstration of coal-to-hydrogen with CCUS, so as to ensure the development of China's hydrogen industry.

This study was to investigate the prevalence and severity of children's dental fluorosis (DF) in Shandong and identified the potential risk factors for DF. A total of 87 villages in Shandong were investigated to calculate the prevalence of DF and Community Fluorosis Index (CFI) in 2018–2019. Six hundred and seventy children were enrolled to identify the potential risk factors using univariate and multivariate logistic regressions. Goodman–Kruskal Gamma was used to explore the factors related to the severity of DF. In 87 villages, 1249 of 8700 (14.36%) children still have DF. The prevalence of DF in most villages was below 40% in 2018–2019. Water fluorine concentration when selected for the study and urinary fluorine concentration were related to the risk of DF (P < 0.001). Some eating habits, like lower frequency of eating fresh vegetables, eggs, and beans, were associated with the risk of DF (P < 0.001). The high water fluorine concentration, and lower frequency of eating fresh vegetables, eggs, and beans were also related to the severity of DF (P < 0.001). DF in children in Shandong province is still a common endemic disease. This study tries to provide a useful guide for the prevention and control of DF. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to explore the changes in coal flow and carbon emissions in Shanxi, a major coal-producing province during its transformation and up grading of the coal industry, based on coal balance tables of Shanxi province, the coal and carbon flow charts of 2011 and 2016 are drawn and compared.The results show:The coal de-stocking and the transfer of high-value-added coal products in Shanxi province have achieved remarkable results;technology of coal-to-liquids/gas has made breakthroughs, and the coal industry chain has been refined;solid waste and waste heat in the coal processing and conversion process have been resource utilized, and the heating efficiency has further increased, from 75.6% in 2011 to 80.2% in 2016;the increase of the total amount of coal-related carbon emission in Shanxi Province from 2011 to 2016 is small, and carbon emission in the power generation sector has been effectively controlled but that of heating sector has risen markedly;although carbon emission from domestic consumption has declined significantly, rural carbon emission is twice that of urban areas, and the rural areas are the key areas for carbon emission control in the future.The research results provide a direction for future coal production structure adjustment, coal processing technology improvement and coal-related carbon emission mitigation in Shanxi province, and have reference significance for other coal-dominated provinces facing the energy transformation.

Abstract: The better to explore the regional characteristics of inter-provincial CO2 emissions and the rational distribution of the reduction of emission intensity reduction in China, this paper proposes an improved PSO-FCM clustering algorithm. This method can obtain the optimal cluster number and membership grade values by utilizing the global capacity of Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) on Fuzzy C-means (FCM). The clustering results of CO2 emissions indicate that the 30 provinces of China are divided into five clusters and each has its own significant characteristics. Compared with other clustering methods, the results of PSO-FCM are more explanatory. The most important indicators affecting regional emission characteristics are CO2 emission intensity and per capita emissions, whereas CO2 emission per unit of energy is not obvious in clustering. Furthermore, some policy recommendations on setting emission reduction targets according to the emission characteristics of different clusters are made. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Background: Computed tomography-guided needle biopsy (CTNB) is a well-established and commonly used technique for diagnosing pulmonary nodules with high accuracy and safety. Needle-tract implantation after CTNB has been reported in various reports. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether preoperative CTNB affected the distant metastasis and overall survival in pathological stage I-II lung cancer patients., Methods: A total of 1,234 patients with pathological stage I-II non-small cell lung cancer were collected. 113 patients received preoperative CTNB, and 1,121 patients did not receive any biopsy before surgical resection. Propensity score-matching method was adopted to balance observed covariates between two groups, 113 pairs were matched. Cox regression analysis and Kaplan-Meier estimates were used to process survival analysis., Results: Distant metastasis free survival (DMFS) was significantly poorer in the preoperative CTNB group than in the non-biopsy group (P=0.032). But there was no difference in the overall survival between the two groups (P=0.086)., Conclusions: CTNB increased the risk of distant metastasis, not increasing the risk of mortality.
