An ameliorant is a chemical that can be used to improve soil fertility. The improving agents include dolomite and steel slag. Steel slag is a by-product of the steel industry containing CaCO3, SiO2, CaSiO3, and MgO, which can be used to improve the growth and yield of rice plants. Dolomite, on the other hand, is a limestone rock containing MgO and CaO, which is useful in agricultural soils. This study aimed to determine the types and doses of ameliorants affecting the growth and yield of rice plants (Oryza sativa L.). The research was carried out at Sukadana Village, Ciomas Serang-Banten District. A non-factorial Group Randomized Design with seven treatments was employed in this investigation. The treatments include P0 = No treatment (control), P1 = 2 t/ha of dolomite, P2 = 2 t/ha of dolomite + 2.5 t/ha of steel slag, P3 = 1.5 t/ha of steel slag, P4 = 2.5 t/ha of steel slag, P5 = 5 t/ha of steel slag, and P6 = 7.5 t/ha of steel slag. Observation was made on steel slag characterization, plant height, the total number of tillers, the weight of 1000 grains, the amount of grain per clump, and the weight of dry-milled grain. The results showed that applying dolomite at 2 t/ha and steel slag at 2.5 t/ha could increase the weight of 1000 grains of rice, and applying steel slag at 1.5 t/ha could enhance the amount of grain per clump.

Background Since late 2019, COVID-19 has been a major health issue worldwide. Older patients seemed more susceptible to severe forms and complications with higher mortality rates. This study aimed to identify the clinical features and outcomes of SARS-Cov-2 pneumonia in elderly patients. Methods Retrospective monocentric study in the internal medicine Covid-19 unit of the Ben Arous regional hospital, enrolling admitted patients with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia, aged 65 years and above from September 2020 to September 2021. Results The study group counted 222 women (55.5%). The mean age was 74 years. At least one chronic disease was found in 84.75% of patients. The most common comorbidities were high blood pressure (55.75%), and diabetes mellitus (50%). The most frequent symptoms were dyspnoea (69.8%), fatigue (66.8%) and dry cough (65.8%). Corrected Qt interval was prolonged in 24.2% of cases. Chest computed tomography were performed in 277 cases (69.3%). Ground glass opacities (93.86%), consolidations (73.3%) and crazy paving (36%) were the main findings. Assessment of pulmonary extent found important involvement (41.87%), sever lesions (23.82%), moderate involvement (21.29%) and critical involvement (1.8%). C-reactive protein (CRP) was elevated in 94.25% of patients. Elevated D-dimer levels were common (68.8%). Antinuclear antibodies were positive in 22.85% cases, and lupus anticoagulant in 35.41%. Acute kidney failure was noted in 25% of patients. The incidence of pulmonary embolism in the current study was 12.99%. The death rate was 8%. According to multivariate logistic regression: older age (odds ratio:1.11, 95% CI: 1.058-1.167; P P< .005), elevated C-reactive protein levels (odds ratio: 1.008, 95% CI: 1.003-1.013; P< .005) and duration of hospital stay (odds ratio: 1.131, 95% CI: 1.062-1.204; P< .005) were predictive factors of mortality. Conclusions Clinical presentation of covid-19 pneumonia in elderly patients is particular due to pre-existing comorbidities and frailty. Mortality risk factors are age, elevated CRP and length of hospitalization.

Abstract Background The sinonasal inverted papilloma is a rare benign tumor, characterized by local aggressiveness, a high rate of recurrence after surgical resection, and the possibility of malignant transformation. The aims of this study are to analyze diagnostic strategy and therapeutic modalities and to evaluate results after surgery. Methods We report a retrospective study, including patients operated for inverted sinonasal papilloma in our department. Preoperatively, all patients were assessed by CT scan (computed tomography), 9 of them by MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). Results The average age of our patients was 52 years with a male predominance. The most common symptom was unilateral nasal obstruction. The endoscopic appearance was suggestive of inverted papilloma (IP) in 75% of cases. Thirty-two patients underwent an exclusive endonasal endoscopic surgery; one patient was operated with a combined approach. Two patients underwent external approaches. A recurrence was observed in 4 patients (11%). Conclusion Preoperative investigation for IP is essentially based on MRI, also required in case of recurrence. Histological examination of the entire tumor is crucial to rule out an associated carcinoma. The “all endoscopic” management is not always achievable for these tumors.

Religious Moderation Values ​​are a manifestation of moderation in various forms of interaction. This study discusses the integration of the moderation value of religion in Islamic Civilization courses including the Semester Learning Design (RPS) as well as the integration of the value of moderation in religion among students and lecturers at FEBI UIN SUKA. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach so as to provide a complete description and analysis of various case studies. The data collected was obtained by in-depth interview methods, direct observation and literature study. To test the validity by means of source and technique triangulation. The research results show the following. First, the integration of the values ​​of religious moderation based on the Semester Lesson Plan obtained moderation values ​​in the form of a fair attitude (not one-sided) and understanding diversity in tolerance between religions and local cultures. Second, the integration of moderation values ​​in learning in the form of making Semester Learning Plans (RPS) based on moderation values. Third, the integration of moderation values ​​when lecturers deliver Islamic Civilization courses, almost all material is associated with religious moderation values ​​such as moderation, love of peace, and understanding diversity or tolerance among people. Fourth, the integration of the values ​​of moderation when students have discussions is manifested by upholding democratic elements, namely being free to give opinions and being ready to accept any decision without coercion.

Daerah Keranggan, Tangerang Selatan yang menjadi wilayah penelitian merupakan salah satu kawasan di Indonesia yang berpotensi longsor. Wilayah ini memiliki karakter tanah bergerak dengan adanya lereng yang sangat curam. Pada rumah-rumah warga di atas lereng timbul retakan sejajar lereng yang mengindikasikan adanya pergerakan tanah. Oleh karena itu dilakukan pengukuran geolistrik tahanan jenis 2 dimensi untuk mengetahui struktur litologi bawah permukaan yang berpotensi dapat berperan sebagai bidang gelincir. Pengukuran menggunakan konfigurasi Wenner-Schlumberger multichannel di 2 lintasan berarah Barat-Timur. Panjang lintasan 1 dan 2 secara berturut-turut adalah 117,5 dan 105 meter dengan jarak antar elektroda 2,5 meter. Dari hasil korelasi model tahanan jenis, data geologi regional, dan data sumur gali warga lokal, diyakini bahwa litologi penyusun di wilayah penelitian terdiri dari batuan lempung, batu pasir, dan konglomerat batu apung yang merupakan bagian dari Formasi Serpong. Dari model tahanan jenis terindikasi adanya bidang gelincir dengan litologi batu lempung di atas konglomerat batu apung dengan kemiringan 53o tepat di bawah lereng. Diduga kuat bidang gelincir ini memicu terbentuknya lereng di permukaan dengan kemiringan serupa sekitar 53o. Kedua faktor tersebut diperparah dengan beban yang tinggi dari jumlah penduduk dan kendaraan di atasnya, serta getaran yang berasal dari aktivitas manusia sehari-hari.

The North African sengi (Petrosaltator rozeti syn. Elephantulus rozeti) is a small mammal endemic to the Maghreb area, and is one of the least studied mammals in North Africa. Little is known about its status, habitat preference, and distribution across large areas of its range. This work provides a detailed geographical and ecological distribution of the species in Tunisia based on 200 surveyed sites throughout the country with 103 positive occurrence records. We also used species distribution modelling to assess the habitat suitability of the species. P. rozeti showed a heterogeneous bioclimatic niche, with a presence in the semi-arid, arid and Saharan bioclimatic zones. But the species' distribution seems to be limited to the main mountain ranges of Tunisia. This was also confirmed by habitat suitability modeling where the elevation was the most informative predictor variable. Our work also show some first recorded ecological traits, confirms the rock-dwelling specialist nature of the species and debate its endemism to mountain ecosystems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Two species of hedgehogs are known to occur in northern part of Africa: the Algerian hedgehog Atelerix algirus and the Ethiopian hedgehog Paraechinus aethiopicus. Within each species several subspecies were described based on morphometrical data and pelage coloration, but all these subspecies have enigmatic and unclear definitions. We investigated the phylogeographical history and taxonomy of these two species based on mitochondrial DNA data covering the entire geographical distribution of A. algirus and the North African distribution of P. aethiopicus. We also used climatic niche modelling to make inferences about their evolutionary history. Low genetic diversity was recovered in both species. While no phylogeographic pattern was found in P. aethiopicus, two haplogroups were identified within A. algirus. This could be explained by the fact that continuous high or moderate climatic suitability occurred throughout most of the Saharan desert since the LGM (Last Glacial Maximum) for the first species, while during the LGM there were several disconnected areas of high climatic suitability for A. algirus: one in South-West Morocco, one at the coastal Moroccan-Algerian border and one in Tunisia-coastal Libya. Our genetic results confirm that A. algirus recently colonized Spain, Balearic and Canary Islands, and that this colonization was probably mediated by humans. Suitable climatic conditions occurred throughout most of the Southern and Eastern Iberian Peninsula during the last 6,000 years which could have favored the spatial expansion of the Algerian hedgehog after its arrival in Europe. According to our molecular results subspecific recognition within North Africa is unwarranted for both species.

BackgroundCoronary artery diseases remain the leading cause of death in the world. The management of this condition has improved remarkably in the recent years owing to the development of new technical tools and multicentric registries. ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to investigate the in-hospital and 1-year clinical outcomes of patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in Tunisia. MethodsWe will conduct a prospective multicentric observational study with patients older than 18 years who underwent PCI between January 31, 2020 and June 30, 2020. The primary end point is the occurrence of a major adverse cardiovascular event, defined as cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, or target vessel revascularization with either repeat PCI or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). The secondary end points are procedural success rate, stent thrombosis, and the rate of redo PCI/CABG for in-stent restenosis. ResultsIn this study, the demographic profile and the general risk profile of Tunisian patients who underwent PCI and their end points will be analyzed. The complexity level of the procedures and the left main occlusion, bifurcation occlusion, and chronic total occlusion PCI will be analyzed, and immediate as well as long-term results will be determined. The National Tunisian Registry of PCI (NATURE-PCI) will be the first national multicentric registry of angioplasty in Africa. For this study, the institutional ethical committee approval was obtained (0223/2020). This trial consists of 97 cardiologists and 2498 patients who have undergone PCI with a 1-year follow-up period. Twenty-eight catheterization laboratories from both public (15 laboratories) and private (13 laboratories) sectors will enroll patients after receiving informed consent. Of the 2498 patients, 1897 (75.9%) are managed in the public sector and 601 (24.1%) are managed in the private sector. The COVID-19 pandemic started in Tunisia in March 2020; 719 patients (31.9%) were included before the COVID-19 pandemic and 1779 (60.1%) during the pandemic. The inclusion of patients has been finished, and we expect to publish the results by the end of 2022. ConclusionsThis study would add data and provide a valuable opportunity for real-world clinical epidemiology and practice in the field of interventional cardiology in Tunisia with insights into the uptake of PCI in this limited-income region. Abstract Background Lymphatic malformations are rare benign tumors that result from congenital and acquired alterations of the lymphatic vessels. They occur most commonly on the head and neck region. The aim of this study is to describe clinical profiles of lymphatic malformations of the head and neck (LMHN) as well as to study therapeutic modalities through our series and review of the literature. Results This is a retrospective record-based descriptive study conducted in the ENT and the Radiology departments over a 17-year period. Our study included twelve patients, aged between 8 months and 52 years. Two swellings were present at birth and had not been prenatally diagnosed in both cases. One patient was affected by TRISOMY 21. All patients consulted for a painless mass of the head or neck. Seven masses were located in the suprahyoid region and five in the infrahyoid region. Ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were realized to establish the diagnosis and assess the extent of the lesions. Surgical excision was performed in 7 patients. It was complete in 6 patients. Five patients were treated with sclerotherapy. The sclerosing agents used were Aetoxisclerol 2%, hypertonic saline, and absolute alcohol. One patient had a reversible paresis of the left mental nerve after surgery. An excellent response to sclerotherapy with complete resolution was obtained in 3 cases with no recurrence of the disease. Conclusions Surgical excision has been the management option of choice for LMHN. The recent advances in sclerotherapy make it safe and effective as a primary treatment modality for these lesions.

Low consumption of vegetables and fruit causes an increased risk of chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes. The results showed that the majority of pregnant women (52.9%) rarely consume vegetables and fruit in sufficient quantities as recommended. Therefore, it is necessary to provide education about the importance of vegetables and fruits consumption, one of which is through the Information Motivation Behavioral Skill (IMB) approach. This study aims to determine the effect of health education with the Information Motivation Behavior Skill (IMB) approach to increasing knowledge and consumption patterns of vegetables and fruits in pregnant women. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-post test design with control groups conducted in pregnant women in the city of Bandung with 60 samples using the observation sheet and questionnaire instruments. Data analysis used the chi-square test. The result of this study indicates that there are significant differences in knowledge and patterns of consumption of vegetables and fruit in pregnant women between the control and treatment groups with a p-value0.05. Information Motivation Behavior Skill (IMB) Health Education Model approach has a role in increasing the knowledge and consumption patterns of vegetables and fruits in pregnant women.

No doubt that technical education is the way of economic progress of nations, and supports the Egyptian industry with trained and qualified workers capable of absorbing the successive developments in the world. Therefore, the output of technical education must be aligned with the requirements of the labor market in the printing and packaging sector. To achieve this goal, the researchers identified the study community represented in the press officials in the training of the students of the technical school for double education in ISESCO and design a questionnaire divided into six axes to identify the subjects and skills required to guide the students towards them and to include them in the theoretical and practical methods. The researchers reached the basis of the questionnaires after analyzing them statistically And the importance of the percentages of their importance from 69% to 86% in the development of technical education curricula printing and packaging section because it meets the requirements of the labor market within the limits of the research sample.

Quality of antenatal care is important to reduce the maternal mortality rate. It associated with providing antenatal care according to standards and meet the expectations or satisfaction of pregnant women. However, today’s midwifery practise still show low compliance with standards, especially related to health education and pregnant women empowerment through the use of Maternal and Child Health media books. This research aimed to analyze the effect of “Aplikasi Sahabat Ibu Hamil” implementation to antenatal care quality improvement in rural areas. This study using quasi-experimental pre-post test design with control groups conducted in West Bandung regency with sample of 61 midwive and pregnant women, using checklists and questionnaires. Univariable analysis was done through Rash modeling, bivariable analysis using numeric categorical comparative test. The results indicated that the quality of antenatal services between control and treatment groups showed significant difference with p0,01. Aplikasi Sahabat Ibu Hamil (ASIH) implementation served to increase midwive adherence to antenatal care standards by 47.2% and satisfaction of pregnant women by 43.8%. The proportion of good quality antenatal care were 84% in treatment groups and 37% in control group. Antenatal care without using ASIH will increase midwives’ risk of noncompliance in antenatal care standards 3.93 times, pregnant women dissatisfaction 4.4 times and poor quality of antenatal care 3.93 times compared with antenatal care using ASIH.

Universities have an important role in training students in orientation and assimilation of knowledge through research and publication of scientific papers, especially in the era of society 5.0. Understanding and knowledge seem to be the only things that guarantee the social and economic progress of society that is not eroded over time. The Policy for Improving the Quality of Students through the Research Program and Publication of Postgraduate Student Scientific Work is an important initiative in advancing higher education and strengthening the role of students in their contribution to knowledge and scientific development. This research aims to describe how this program has contributed to improving the quality of postgraduate students, as well as its impact on the development of research and publication of students' scientific work. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study research as direct data. Data collection techniques by collecting published scientific papers from postgraduate students. To optimize the results of data collection, an article search was carried out from Google Scholar using the search terms names of postgraduate students who were used as research objects. Qualitative data analysis consists of three series: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The research results show that: First, the condition of the quality of research activities carried out by Postgraduate students at UIN Prof. K.H. Saifudin Zuhri Purwokerto is doing well. In this paper, we report the study of essential oils adsorption on three phosphate fertilizers: monoammonium phosphate (MAP), diammonium phosphate (DAP) and triple superphosphate (TSP), with the aim to prepare a bifunctional product which can be used as a fertilizer and biopesticide. Essential oils were isolated by steam distillation from Eucalyptus salubris and Artemisia herbaalba and analysed by GC-MS and GC-FID. About 12 and 22 constituents were identified and quantified in these oils, respectively. The kinetic adsorption study of essential oils showed that DAP and TSP exhibited high adsorption capacities compared with MAP (DAP (0.143 g/g) and TSP (0.139 g/g) for E. salubris essential oil and (DAP (0.135 g/g) and TSP (0.134 g/g) for A. herba- -alba essential oil). The adsorption isotherms of all identified components in the E. salubris essential oil were determined and the Langmuir and Freundlich models were used to describe the experimental data. Langmuir model fitted well the isotherms of the majority of the essential oil components (1,8-cineole, α-pinene, β-pinene, isopinocarveol, β-eudesmol, α-phellandrene, pinocarvone, p-cymene and spathulenol) and only terpineol and globulol isotherm data followed the Freundlich model. The selectivity was affected by the abundance of each component in the crude essential oil and the polarity of terpenic components.

Melon (Cucumis melo L.) has economic potential to be cultivated because the fruit contains protein, fat, carbohydrate, calcium, phosphor, fiber, iron, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin C, and niacin. Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum will decrease melon crop production. One of controlling method to Fusarium wilt diseases on melon plants which safe for environtmental by using biological control. One of microorganisms which can be biological control agent is Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM). This research use experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The experimental treatment consists of two types of treatment which combine 5 doses of VAM mixture ( 0 g/plant, 10 g/plant, 12,5 g/plant, 15 g/plant, 17,5 g/plant) and two inoculation method VAM is inoculated when seeds are planted and inoculation when the seedlings are replanted. Each treatment was repeated 3 times and each unit consist of three plant, so there are 30 units of experiments or 90 plants. The main variabels are observed consist of the incubation periode of the disease and the intensity of fusarium wilt and the supporting variabels consist of pH, temperature, humidity, and the scale of infection. The mixed MVA 15 g/plant dosage inoculated when seeds are planted and 15 g/plant dosage inoculated when the seedlings are replanted is the most effective to suppress incubation period of Fusarium wilt disease.
