Abstract

In today’s era of rapid technological development, there is an increasing requirement for high-functioning investiture solutions, working liquids and materials that can satisfy the benchmarks of energy efficacy. Specifically, within the domain of heat transference-based industries, an essential challenge is to fabricate a cooling medium that can effectually cope with dissipation of substantial heat flux engendered by high-energy utilizations. At present, nanoliquids are extensively deliberated as some of the most promising aspirants for such effectual cooling mediums. The current investigation features hybrid nanoliquid flow adjacent to magnetized non-isothermal incompressible sphere. Rheological expressions representing micropolar liquid are accounted for flow formulation. The rheological analysis is developed using the boundary-layer concept. Buoyancy impact is accounted for heat transference analysis. Nanoparticles with distinct shapes are considered. The developed nonlinear systems are computed numerically and non-similar simulations are performed.

Abstract

The viscoelastic materials are a famous subclass of non-Newtonian fluids that present novel applications in various industrial processes. The most famous applications of viscoelastic fluid are observed in polymer processing. A major activity of the polymer processing industry is the production of thermoplastic polymer sheets and films. However, due to distinct rheology, a complete understanding of such materials is quite necessary for the polymer process. This continuation presents the rheological features of viscoelastic fluid with heat transfer phenomenon near the oblique stagnation point flow. The induced flow is accounted via stretched cylinder. The heat transfer analysis is also taken in the presence of non-linear heat flux. The problem is formulated using cylindrical coordinates in terms of non-linear coupled partial differential equations. Similarity transformation and normalized variables are used to convert the governing system into a set of ordinary differential equations. Due to the highly nonlinear model, the analytical solution of the system seems to be impossible therefore the approximate solution is obtained using the numerically stable and convergent finite difference method known as the Keller Box scheme. The simulated data via numerical algorithm is verified after comparing with already published investigations. The streamlines for the flow problem are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

With effective thermal performances and stability, the nanomaterials are intended to be the focus of investigators due to applications in energy systems, thermal extrusions, pharmaceutical processes, diagnoses and therapies, domestic refrigerators, bio-medical technologies, nuclear processes, antibacterial activities, etc. This research addresses thermal transport in stagnation point flow of nanofluid over a curved surface with nonlinear radiative effects and chemical reaction effects. Basic mass and momentum conservation laws are used to model the flow problem, whereas Cattaneo–Christov theories are used in thermal diffusion relations to model the heat and concentration equations. The similarity variables transformed the governing partial differential equations and the resulting equations are numerically simulated by the fourth-order finite difference scheme. The effective change in velocity, heat transfer rate, and mass fluctuation are reported due to effective values of parameters.
