Complexes of Cr(III), Cd(II), Ni(II), Pd(II) and Cu(II) with new ligand sodium [5-(p-nitro phenyl)-/4-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-dithiocarbamato hydrazide] (TRZ.DTC) have been prepared and characterized in solid state by using flame atomic absorption, elemental analysis C.H.N.S, FT-IR, UV–vis spectrophotometry, thermal analysis TGA, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The ratio of M:L and logK was determined by molar ratio method. From the spectral studies, an octahedral monomer structure was proposed for all complexes except copper(II) which has a dimeric structure. Cadmium(II) has tetrahedral geometry. Structural geometries of these compounds were also suggested in gas phase by using hyper chem-8 program. The heat of formation, binding energy, and dipole moment were calculated by PM3 and ZINDO/1 methods. ZINDO/1 was used to evaluate the vibration spectra of the (TRZ.DTC) ligand and starting material as authentic compound. Cytotoxic effect of Pd, Cu and ligand was evaluated against Rhabdomyosarcoma cell line by using four different concentrations (500, 250, 125 & 62.5 μg/ml) in three exposure times 24, 48 and 72 h and compared this effect with control positive Cis-Pt. The efficiency of these new compounds on RD cell line may be attributed to blocking the protein synthesis of the cells.

Porous metal structures have emerged as a promising solution in repairing and replacing damaged bone in biomedical applications. With the advent of additive manufacturing technology, fabrication of porous scaffold architecture of different unit cell types with desired parameters can replicate the biomechanical properties of the natural bone, thereby overcoming the issues, such as stress shielding effect, to avoid implant failure. The purpose of this research was to investigate the influence of cube and gyroid unit cell types, with pore size ranging from 300 to 600 µm, on porosity and mechanical behavior of titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V) scaffolds. Scaffold samples were modeled and analyzed using finite element analysis (FEA) following the ISO standard (ISO 13314). Selective laser melting (SLM) process was used to manufacture five samples of each type. Morphological characterization of samples was performed through micro CT Scan system and the samples were later subjected to compression testing to assess the mechanical behavior of scaffolds. Numerical and experimental analysis of samples show porosity greater than 50% for all types, which is in agreement with desired porosity range of natural bone. Mechanical properties of samples depict that values of elastic modulus and yield strength decreases with increase in porosity, with elastic modulus reduced up to 3 GPa and yield strength decreased to 7 MPa. However, while comparing with natural bone properties, only cube and gyroid structure with pore size 300 µm falls under the category of giving similar properties to that of natural bone. Analysis of porous scaffolds show promising results for application in orthopedic implants. Application of optimum scaffold structures to implants can reduce the premature failure of implants and increase the reliability of prosthetics.

Bellow sealing in valves provides the characteristic of no emission sealing by extending or compressing within the elastic limit to operate the valve. To keep the motion of the bellow within the elastic limit, a long length of bellow is required, which increases the length of the shaft and height of the valve. Increased height restricts valve usage, especially for large sizes, due to the limited platform space. This study presents the application of a six-bar linkage to operating mechanism by replacing the reciprocating shaft in an attempt to reduce the height of the valve. The mechanism produced aims to reduce the input displacement while maintaining the output displacement in order to reduce the required bellow length. Graphical synthesis of the mechanism was carried out using Autodesk Inventor. The designed mechanism was then subjected to analysis using a simulation tool for the position, force, and flow analysis. The prototype valve with the application of the new mechanism was manufactured using additive manufacturing, which was later used for experimental testing. Application of the mechanism to the bellow valve reduced the required input by 75%, which as a result, reduced the height of the valve up to 50%. The force analysis depicted that the force required to operate the mechanism was approximately eight times higher than the conventional design. Flow analysis of the valve showed that the introduction of the new mechanism had no effect on the flow efficiency of the valve and the flow coefficient of valve remained the same. Application of the six-bar linkage to the valve control mechanism made the design of the valve compact when compared to conventional design in terms of height, which makes it more suitable for use in industry.

Enhancing the nanosized‐electrolyte's characteristics in Lithium‐driven micro‐batteries (LIMBs) is indispensable to improve the overall efficiency, security, and lifespan of these energy devices, designing nano‐sized electrolyte with a wide electrochemical stability window while keeping them compatible with electrode materials is one of the improvement goals. Battery health variations and other performance problems can be found using magnetic mass transport patterns. Present study examines the effects of magnetic field on Eyring–Powel mass transport in nano‐porous channels over a stretching sheet. The principal equations exhibiting the phenomenon are transformed into non‐linear differential equation by second‐order approximation by using a similarity transformation. Furthermore, a semi‐analytic technique named optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM) is used to solve the transformed Eyring–Powell model. Background: Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is a blood malignancy that affects hematopoietic stem cells. Also, it is commonly identified by the Philadelphia chromosome. This chromosome produces a protein with strong tyrosine kinase activity and functions as a tumorigenic factor. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the Immunological and Molecular of BCR-ABL1 gene expression and ABL1 protein in patients admitted to the Oncology and Hematology Center of the Kirkuk Governorate, Iraq. Materials and Methods: A study was conducted in Kirkuk Governorate, Iraq, from the beginning of November 2022 to May 2023 on Chronic Myeloid Leukemia patients in the Oncology and Hematology Center, which was hospital-based and cross-sectional. The study comprised fifty-three patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. They were diagnosed using a complete blood count (CBC), a molecular test BCR-ABL1, and an immunological test ABL1 protein. The research did not include patients with missing data and those without consent. Fifty-three peripheral blood samples from 53 CML patients at chronic stages of CML were taken, and using automated Gene Xpert BCR-ABL1 Ultra assay, BCRABL1 transcript quantification was conducted on them. Results: The research included fifty-three patients in total (27 males, 28 females), with a mean age of 47.3±12.8 years. The average of BCR_ABL1 by RT_ qPCR 3.22±0.09 and the mean of ABL1 by Enzyme-linked Immune sorbent assay (ELISA) reigned is 981±891. Conclusion: Values of the quantitative realtime reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT_ qPCR) by Gene Xpert Ultra level range between 38.62 and 0.00 with a mean of 3.22±0.09. The RT_ qPCR level showed that 22% of the patients were in good condition, 11% of them had a strong response to treatment, and other 11% showed a complete cytogenetic response (CCyR), which is also a good outcome; however, 78% of the patients either not taking their medication, or there is true resistance. These two methods used different techniques; the former is a nuclear-derived method that detects the presence of specific genetic materials of any pathogen; in the current research, BCR-ABL1 is the target. In this research, we investigate a resistor capacitor electric circuit that exhibits an exponentially decaying transient response. Due to uncertainty in the precise capacitance value, we treat the capacitance as a continuous uniformly distributed random variable. Using this approach, we derive the desired transient current response of the circuit as a function of the capacitance. Subsequently, we develop a probability model for the response current, expressed in terms of probability density function and cumulative distribution function. The model's validity and correctness are verified, and it is further utilized for probabilistic analysis of the transient current. We demonstrate the application of the model for determining the probability of the transient current response reaching a specific value. By following the same procedure used to derive the probability model of the transient current, probability distributions for other circuit parameters, such as voltages and currents, can also be obtained. Furthermore, for parameters that are functions of the transient current, the probability model can also be obtained from the already derived probability model. To illustrate this, we derive the probability models of three other parameters in the circuit from the already obtained models.
