Objective: The Non-targeted metabolomics technology was used to analyze the metabolites in the serum and liver of mice with chronic alcoholic liver injury (ALD), to identify and screen out the differential metabolites related to alcoholic liver injury and construct its metabolic pathway, and to explore the protective mechanism of puerarin against alcoholic liver injury in mice. The development of light-field imaging principles has provided new insights and directions for diagnostic multi-physical fields. The light-field camera, based on the principles of light-field imaging, captures the angle information of incident light rays, through a micro-lens array between the main lens and the sensor. Researchers have developed various multi-physics diagnostic techniques based on the principles of light-field imaging. Firstly, the light-field particle image velocimetry (LF-PIV) technique was introduced. It utilized a light-field camera to capture particle images of a complex three-dimensional flow field. Applying three-dimensional calibration, reconstruction and cross-correlation algorithms subsequently gene-rated the three-dimensional velocity field. It ensures measurement accuracy while capturing a three-dimensional three-component velocity field. Moreover, it effectively reduces the device size for velocity field measurements within constrained spaces. Secondly, the application of light-field cameras in the field of shape measurements was introduced. The light-field camera can capture three-dimensional point cloud information of the object′s surface by a single camera and a single shot. This not only significantly reduces measurement time but also simplifies imaging equipment, enabling three-dimensional topography measurement of film-cooling holes. Thirdly, applying light-field camera in the field of temperature measurement can simplify spectral separation methods, leading to the streamlining of temperature measurement systems. Finally, the light-field multi-physics diagnostic technology was summarized, and the endoscopic light-field and meta-lens-based light-field diagnostic technology was prospected.

Introduction: The continuous emergence and rapid spread of multidrug-resistant bacteria have accelerated the demand for the discovery of alternative antibiotics. Natural plants contain a variety of antibacterial components, which is an important source for the discovery of antimicrobial agents. Objective: To explore the antimicrobial activities and related mechanisms of two lavandulylated flavonoids, sophoraflavanone G and kurarinone in Sophora flavescens against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Methods: The effects of sophoraflavanone G and kurarinone on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus were comprehensively investigated by a combination of proteomics and metabolomics studies. Bacterial morphology was observed by scanning electron microscopy. Membrane fluidity, membrane potential, and membrane integrity were determined using the fluorescent probes Laurdan, DiSC3(5), and propidium iodide, respectively. Adenosine triphosphate and reactive oxygen species levels were determined using the adenosine triphosphate kit and reactive oxygen species kit, respectively. The affinity activity of sophoraflavanone G to the cell membrane was determined by isothermal titration calorimetry assays. Results: Sophoraflavanone G and kurarinone showed significant antibacterial activity and anti-multidrug resistance properties. Mechanistic studies mainly showed that they could target the bacterial membrane and cause the destruction of the membrane integrity and biosynthesis. They could inhibit cell wall synthesis, induce hydrolysis and prevent bacteria from synthesizing biofilms. In addition, they can interfere with the energy metabolism of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and disrupt the normal physiological activities of the bacteria. In vivo studies have shown that they can significantly improve wound infection and promote wound healing. Conclusion: Kurarinone and sophoraflavanone G showed promising antimicrobial properties against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, suggesting that they may be potential candidates for the development of new antibiotic agents against multidrug-resistant bacteria.

Recent innovations in nanomaterials inspire abundant novel tumor-targeting CRISPR-based gene therapies. However, the therapeutic efficiency of traditional targeted nanotherapeutic strategies is limited by that the biomarkers vary in a spatiotemporal-dependent manner with tumor progression. Here, we propose a self-amplifying logic-gated gene editing strategy for gene/H2O2-mediated/starvation multimodal cancer therapy. In this approach, a hypoxia-degradable covalent-organic framework (COF) is synthesized to coat a-ZIF-8 in which glucose oxidase (GOx) and CRISPR system are packaged. To intensify intracellular redox dyshomeostasis, DNAzymes which can cleave catalase mRNA are loaded as well. When the nanosystem gets into the tumor, the weakly acidic and hypoxic microenvironment degrades the ZIF-8@COF to activate GOx, which amplifies intracellular H+ and hypoxia, accelerating the nanocarrier degradation to guarantee available CRISPR plasmid and GOx release in target cells. These tandem reactions deplete glucose and oxygen, leading to logic-gated-triggered gene editing as well as synergistic gene/H2O2-mediated/starvation therapy. Overall, this approach highlights the biocomputing-based CRISPR delivery and underscores the great potential of precise cancer therapy.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image change detection is currently a popular topic, but the existence of speckle noise renders it challenging. Making full use of the neighborhood information can reduce noise interference and improve accuracy. To this end, this study proposes a graph-guided method for SAR image change detection. First, we establish the local, nonlocal, and global connections according to three types of neighboring rules. A novel heterogeneous graph is then constructed by assigning different weights to these multilevel connections. On the basis of heterogeneous graph, a composite random walk matrix (CRWM) is presented to quantify the similarity of multilevel connections. Thereafter, the heterogeneous graph shift system consisting of the multiorder CRWM is designed to aggregate the attributes of neighboring vertices along the multiorder and multilevel connections. The change measure can be implemented by comparing the output signals from the heterogeneous graph shift systems, resulting in the generation of difference image with good separability. Finally, change analysis is carried out using a binary classification algorithm. Experiments conducted on six real SAR datasets confirm that the proposed M2HG method successfully strikes a balance between speckle suppression and change enhancement. This strategic balance translates into improvements in performance metrics, with OA, κ, and F1 indicators surpassing those of the suboptimal method by 0.87%, 3.34%, and 3.84%, respectively. Overall, the proposed method emerges as a promising contender for SAR image change detection tasks.

Urethral stricture is characterized by the chronic formation of fibrous tissue, leading to the narrowing of the urethral lumen. Despite the availability of various endoscopic treatments, the recurrence of urethral strictures remains a common challenge. Postsurgery pharmacotherapy targeting tissue fibrosis is a promising option for reducing recurrence rates. Although drugs cannot replace surgery, they can be used as adjuvant therapies to improve outcomes. In this regard, many drugs have been proposed based on the mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of urethral stricture. Ongoing studies have obtained substantial progress in treating urethral strictures, highlighting the potential for improved drug effectiveness through appropriate clinical delivery methods. Therefore, this review summarizes the latest researches on the mechanisms related to the pathophysiology of urethral stricture and the drugs to provide a theoretical basis and new insights for the effective use and future advancements in drug therapy for urethral stricture.

The architecture of aeroengine air-cooling system channels is notably intricate, with impingement heat transfer standing out as a critical process amidst the complexity. This study delves into the casing annular cavity’s structure, examining the influence of flow and structural parameters on heat transfer characteristics. Experimental findings have revealed a trend towards more uniform temperature distributions across the impingement target plate as the relative impingement distance (H/d) increases, under a constant impingement Reynolds number (Rej). Notably, an impingement angle (β) of 90° yields optimal heat transfer effects on the target surface. Furthermore, a higher impingement hole consistency (Is) correlates with a lower and more uniform temperature distribution across the target plate. Additionally, escalating the crossflow ratio (mc/m) results in a decline in the temperature at the impingement stagnation point and a corresponding rise in the heat transfer coefficient.

Today, impingement cooling structures with dimples can effectively ease the burden of turbine blades. This paper investigates the effect of dimple diameter and depth on the heat transfer of the target surface on a laminar-cooled turbine blade with a cross-flow and dimple numerically to find the mechanism behind it so that the dimple can be better used in turbine cooling. The commercial software ANSYS 19.2 and a baseline (BSL) turbulence model is used during the numerical computation. In this paper, the cross-flow Reynolds number varies from 15,000 to 60,000, while the jet Reynolds number remains at 30,000. When the cross-flow Reynolds number changes, due to the location change in vortexes generated inside or around the dimple, the two dimple parameters affect heat transfer differently. When the cross-flow Reynolds number is lower than the jet Reynolds number, dimples with smaller diameters and depths lead to better heat transfer performance. When the cross-flow Reynolds number exceeds the jet Reynolds number, dimples with bigger diameters and depths result in better heat exchange performance. The results also indicate that, while the dimple diameters remain constant, the rise of the cross-flow Reynolds number enhances the heat transfer of the dimple structure.

Abstract Extracellular vesicles (EVs) have tremendous potential as nano/micron-sized drug delivery carriers. Their physical, chemical and biological characteristics distinguish them as unique carriers with specific pharmacokinetic, circulating metabolic, and biodistribution patterns in the delivery of therapeutic cargoes. They are critical mediators in the pathology of many diseases, including inflammatory diseases, fibrosis, and cancer, but they are also essential mediators in immunomodulation, cancer treatment, infectious defense, and tissue repair. In this review, we emphasize recent advances in oncology therapy using macrophage EVs, mesenchymal stem cell EVs, milk EVs, and plant EVs, as well as the advantages of EVs as delivery platforms and their prospective clinical applications and use.

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis has emerged as the most reliable method for determining the structures of organic molecules. However, numerous analytes, such as liquid organic molecules, pose challenges in crystallization, making their structures directly elusive via X-ray crystallography methods. Herein, we introduced the rapid cocrystallization of a macrocycle named phenanthrene[2]arene (PTA, host) with 15 liquid organic molecules (guests). The guest liquid organic molecules were successively cocrystallized with the aid of the PTA host. Moreover, the chemical structures of the liquid organic molecules could be determined through single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. PTA exhibited high adaptivity and was capable of encapsulating liquid organic molecules without forming covalent bonds or strong directional interactions. The results revealed that the adaptive crystals of PTA exhibited excellent cocrystallization capacity. Weak noncovalent interactions between the host and guest molecules were crucial for organizing the guests in an ordered pattern.

The detection of volatile amines is necessary due to the serious toxicity hazards they pose to human skin, respiratory systems, and nervous systems. However, traditional amines detection methods require bulky equipment, high costs, and complex measurements. Herein, we report a new simple, rapid, convenient, and visual method for the detection of volatile amines based on the gas–solid reactions of tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone (TCBQ) and volatile amines. The gas–solid reactions of TCBQ with a variety of volatile amines showed a visually distinct color in a time-dependent manner. Moreover, TCBQ can be easily fabricated into simple and flexible rapid test strips for detecting and distinguishing n-propylamine from other volatile amines, including ethylamine, n-butyamine, n-pentamine, n-butyamine and dimethylamine, in less than 3 s without any equipment assistance.

Abstract Emulating the auditory sense is a significant challenge in terms of both integration and energy consumption for handling complicated spatiotemporal information. Here, we demonstrate how to utilize the chaotic dynamics of a threshold switching memristor, which usually acts as a leaky integrate and fire neuron in the neuromorphic network, to encode the frequency and amplitude in auditory information. We fabricate a Pd/Nb/NbOx/Nb/Pd memristor dominated by the Poole–Frankel conduction mechanism, set its state at the edge of chaos, and stimulate it using periodic perturbations. The memristor's responses to the perturbation frequencies can be categorized into three zones. Two are phase locking with linear phase–frequency relationships, and one has a hyperbolic spike number–frequency relationship. The memristor system also enables intensity coding and tonotopy by modulating the response spikes in either the locked phase or spike number. Based on the emulation of these two features, the memristor system demonstrates sound location and frequency mixing. Our study suggests a novel routine for handling the auditory and visual senses using threshold‐switching memristor arrays to enhance the efficiency of neuromorphic networks.

Accounting for one third of global energy-related carbon emissions, the construction and operation of buildings are crucial for mitigating climate change. Decarbonization potentials of embodied and operational energy use in buildings are worth exploring from a life-cycle perspective. This paper focuses on the individual building level and collects the latest cases, to offer a comprehensive and timely understanding of the assessment and reduction of building life cycle carbon emissions (LCCEs). As for the collected cases, the operational process accounts for the largest share of building LCCEs, averaging 67%, followed by the production and construction phase, averaging 31%. Carbon emissions from the demolition process are relatively low, averaging 2%. The most commonly used method for assessing LCCEs is process-based, combining the activity level and carbon emission factors. Advanced technologies such as building information modelling and building performance simulation have been employed in recent years to assess embodied and operational carbon emissions effectively. Different approaches are proposed for the decarbonization of each stage in the building life cycle. In the production stage, the effective approaches could be optimizing the building structure, improving the material performance, and using bio-based materials, etc. Prefabrication technology is helpful to decarbonize the construction process. Energy conservation and electrification, renewable energy integration, and smart energy management can effectively reduce the building's operational carbon emissions. Beyond the life cycle, recycling waste materials is proven to have great environmental benefits. Further studies are suggested to trade off the embodied and operational carbon, to fully explore building life-cycle decarbonization potentials.

Here, we report the synthesis of adamantane-based macrocycle 2 by combining adamantane building blocks with π-donor 1,3-dimethoxy-benzene units. An unpredictable keto-adamantane-based macrocycle 3 was obtained by the oxidation of 2 using DDQ as an oxidant. Moreover, a new type of macrocyclic molecule-based CT cocrystal was prepared through exo-wall CT interactions between 3 and DDQ. The cocrystal material showed selective vapochromism behavior towards THF, specifically, among nine volatile organic solvents commonly used in the laboratory. Powder X-ray diffraction; UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy; 1H NMR; and single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that color changes are attributed to the vapor-triggered decomplexation of cocrystals.

Sanggua Drink (SGD) is an experienced formula for clinical treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Network pharmacology and experiments were combined to explore the potential mechanism of action of SGD on T2DM. As one of the most important and advanced technology for carbon-mitigation in the building sector, building performance simulation (BPS) has played an increasingly important role with the powerful support of building energy modelling (BEM) technology for energy-efficient designs, operations, and retrofitting of buildings. Owing to its deep integration of multi-disciplinary approaches, the researchers, as well as tool developers and practitioners, are facing opportunities and challenges during the application of BEM at multiple scales and stages, e.g., building/system/community levels and planning/design/operation stages. By reviewing recent studies, this paper aims to provide a clear picture of how BEM performs in solving different research questions on varied scales of building phase and spatial resolution, with a focus on the objectives and frameworks, modelling methods and tools, applicability and transferability. To guide future applications of BEM for performance-driven building energy management, we classified the current research trends and future research opportunities into five topics that span through different stages and levels: (1) Simulation for performance-driven design for new building and retrofit design, (2) Model-based operational performance optimization, (3) Integrated simulation using data measurements for digital twin, (4) Building simulation supporting urban energy planning, and (5) Modelling of building-to-grid interaction for demand response. Additionally, future research recommendations are discussed, covering potential applications of BEM through integration with occupancy and behaviour modelling, integration with machine learning, quantification of model uncertainties, and linking to building monitoring systems.

The mechanism of pyroptosis in trigeminal neuralgia (TN) progression remains unclear. The discovery of tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) in the mechanism of pyroptosis is a breakthrough. We aim to study whether tsRNA is involved in TN progression through pyroptosis. A TN rat model was constructed by chronic constriction injury of infraorbital nerve and then mechanical hyperalgesia was quantitated using a withdrawal threshold test. Mechanical hyperalgesia was significantly elevated by constriction injury. Immunofluorescence revealed that expression of GSDMD and NLRP3 were significantly enhanced in TN rats. The expression of caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-18 was significantly boosted after TN induction. CoPP + H2O2 exposure induced cell injury and pyroptosis of rat Schwann RSC96 cells, but reversed by VX-765 (a caspase-1 inhibitor). A total of 87 differentially expressed tsRNAs (DEtsRNAs) were identified in TN rats. KEGG pathway enrichment showed that DEtsRNAs were mainly involved in pyroptosis-related pathways, such as MAPK, ErbB, and mTOR signaling pathways. RT-qPCR showed that pyroptosis-related DEtsRNAs of tsRNA003489, tsRNA001840, and tsRNA003424 were downregulated in TN. Network analysis indicated tsRNA003489 and tsRNA001840 interact with NLRP3, a key regulator of pyroptosis. tsRNA has potential to participate in TN progression by targeting pyroptosis-related genes, which provides a new perspective for understanding pathology of TN.

Prostatitis is a common urological condition that affects almost half of all men at some point in their life. The prostate gland has a dense nerve supply that contributes to the production of fluid to nourish sperm and the mechanism to switch between urination and ejaculation. Prostatitis can cause frequent urination, pelvic pain, and even infertility. Long-term prostatitis increases the risk of prostate cancer and benign prostate hyperplasia. Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis presents a complex pathogenesis, which has challenged medical research. Experimental studies of prostatitis require appropriate preclinical models. This review aimed to summarize and compare preclinical models of prostatitis based on their methods, success rate, evaluation, and range of application. The objective of this study is to provide a comprehensive understanding of prostatitis and advance basic research.

The increasing concerns over the environment and the growing demand for sustainable water treatment technologies have sparked substantial interest in the field of photocatalytic dye removal. Polyoxometalates (POMs), known for their intricate metal–oxygen anion clusters, have received considerable attention due to their versatile structures, compositions, and efficient facilitation of photo-induced electron transfers. This paper provides an overview of the ongoing research progress in the realm of photocatalytic dye degradation utilizing POMs and their derivatives. The details encompass the compositions of catalysts, catalytic efficacy, and light absorption propensities, and the photocatalytic mechanisms inherent to POM-based materials for dye degradation are exhaustively expounded upon. This review not only contributes to a better understanding of the potential of POM-based materials in photocatalytic dye degradation, but also presents the advancements and future prospects in this domain of environmental remediation.

Oxidative stress-induced DNA damage has been considered to constitute a unifying pathogenesis in the development of Parkinson's disease (PD). In the present study, multiple measurement methods were applied to examine the expression of DNA damage markers in the brain of the vesicular monoamine transporter 2 transgenic mice (VMAT2 Lo), a PD animal model. The results demonstrated that mainly in the substantia nigra (SN) and locus coeruleus (LC) of VMAT2 Lo mice at the ages of 18 and 23 months, there was a significant increase in the protein levels of phosphor-ataxia telangiectasia mutated (pATM), as well as ATM and RAD 3-related (pATR) two DNA damage sensors, and γ-H2A histone family member X (γ-H2AX), a DNA damage marker of double-strand breaks (DSBs). Furthermore, these alterations were accompanied by a significant elevation of mRNA and protein levels of Cav1.2 and Cav1.3, two voltage-gated Ca 2+ channel proteins, and modulator of calcium homeostasis in the SN and LC. Finally, the measurements of TUNEL assay and immunostaining in the brain regions confirmed the presence of apoptosis and a marked increase of immunoreactive 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2′dihydroguanosine (8-OHdG) and p53-binding protein 1 (53BP1), two DNA lesion indicators induced by oxidative stress. These novel findings are coincident with the observations previously reported in PD patients and PD animal models, and provide the evidence for the features of DNA damage involved in pathogenesis of PD and feasibility of this model for investigation of PD. Summary Statement The present study examined expression of DNA damage markers in VMAT2 Lo PD model mice. The results demonstrate there is a significant increase in these DNA damage markers mostly in the brain regions of 18- and 23-month-old model mice, indicating oxidative stress-induced DNA lesion is an important pathologic feature of this mouse model.

Polysaccharides are the most important effective components of Lycii fructus, which has a variety of biological activities and broad application prospects in the fields of medicine and food. In this study, we reported a novel arabinogalactan LFP-80-W1 with potential immunostimulatory activity. LFP-80-W1 was a continuous symmetrical single-peak with an average molecular weight of 4.58 × 104 Da and was mainly composed of arabinose and galactose. Oligosaccharide sequencing analyses and NMR data showed that the LFP-80-W1 domain consists of a repeated 1,6-linked β-Galp main chain with branches arabinoglycan and arabinogalactan at position C-3. Importantly, we found that LFP-80-W1 could activate the MAPK pathway and promote the release of NO, IL-6, and TNF-α cytokines in vitro. Therefore, our findings suggest that the homogeneous arabinogalactan from Lycii fructus, can be used as a natural immunomodulator.

Customer satisfaction is a measure of the degree of satisfaction of customer experience. Among the three major operators in China, China Mobile plays an important role in the communication field. A study of customer satisfaction with China Mobile will have a significant positive impact on the sustainable development of the entire communication industry. In order to respond to customer needs accurately, a mobile customer satisfaction research method based on quadratic dimensionality reduction and machine learning integration is proposed. Firstly, the core evaluation system of impact satisfaction is established, through the integration of systematic clustering and exploratory factor analysis for quadratic dimensionality reduction. Then, unreasonable data in the core influencing factors are eliminated. Finally, the gradient-boosted decision tree (GBDT) machine learning algorithm is applied to predict satisfaction, with a prediction accuracy of up to 99%, and the highly accurate satisfaction prediction can quickly respond to customer needs and feedback to improve customer experience and satisfaction.

In this study, we explorethe synthesis of binaphthyl-based chiral macrocyclic hosts for the first time. They exhibited the selective recognition abilities of iodide anions which can be favored over those of other anions (AcO−, NO3−, ClO4−, HSO4−, Br−, PF6−, H2PO4−, BF4−, and CO3F3S−), as confirmed by UV-vis, HRMS, and 1H NMR spectroscopy experiments, as well as DFT calculations. Neutral aryl C–H···anion interactions play an important role in the formation complexes. The recognition process can be observed by the naked eye.

Abstract Background Administration of propofol, an intravenous anesthetic with antioxidant property, immediately at the onset of post-ischemic reperfusion (propofol postconditioning, P-PostC) has been shown to confer cardioprotection against ischemia–reperfusion injury, while the underlying mechanism remains incompletely understood. The FoxO transcription factors are reported to play critical roles in activating cardiomyocyte survival signaling throughout the process of cellular injuries induced by oxidative stress and are also involved in hypoxic postconditioning mediated neuroprotection, however, the role of FoxO in postconditioning mediated protection in the heart and in particular in high glucose condition is unknown. Methods Rat heart-derived H9c2 cells were exposed to high glucose (HG) for 48 h (h), then subjected to hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R, composed of 8 h of hypoxia followed by 12 h of reoxygenation) in the absence or presence of postconditioning with various concentrations of propofol (P-PostC) at the onset of reoxygenation. After having identified the optical concentration of propofol, H9c2 cells were subjected to H/R and P-PostC in the absence or presence of FoxO1 or FoxO3a gene silencing to explore their roles in P-PostC mediated protection against apoptotic and autophagic cell deaths under hyperglycemia. Abstract The corticostriatal circuit plays an important role in the regulation of reward- and aversion-types of behaviors. Specifically, the projection from the prelimbic cortex (PL) to the nucleus accumbens (NAc) has been shown to regulate sensory and affective aspects of pain in a number of rodent models. Previous studies have shown that enhancement of glutamate signaling through the NAc by AMPAkines, a class of agents that specifically potentiate the function of α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) receptors, reduces acute and persistent pain. However, it is not known whether postsynaptic potentiation of the NAc with these agents can achieve the full anti-nociceptive effects of PL activation. Here we compared the impact of AMPAkine treatment in the NAc with optogenetic activation of the PL on pain behaviors in rats. We found that not only does AMPAkine treatment partially reconstitute the PL inhibition of sensory withdrawals, it fully occludes the effect of the PL on reducing the aversive component of pain. These results indicate that the NAc is likely one of the key targets for the PL, especially in the regulation of pain aversion. Furthermore, our results lend support for neuromodulation or pharmacological activation of the corticostriatal circuit as an important analgesic approach.

To meet the demands of highly integrated and miniaturized radio frequency front-end (RFFE) modules, multi-passband filters which support multi-channel compounding come to the foreground. In this work, we proposed a new design of a dual-passband surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter based on a 32°YX-LiNbO3 (LN)/SiO2/SiC multilayered structure. The filter is of a standalone ladder topology and comprises dual-mode resonators, in which the shear horizontal (SH) mode and high-order SH mode are simultaneously excited through electrode thickness modulation. The impact of electrode thickness on the performance of the dual-mode resonator was systematically investigated by the finite element method (FEM), and resonators were prepared and verified the simulation results. The electromechanical coupling coefficients (K2) of the SH modes are 15.1% and 17.0%, while the maximum Bode-Q (Qmax) values are 150 and 247, respectively, for the fabricated resonators with wavelengths of 1 μm and 1.1 μm. In terms of the high-order SH modes in these resonators, the K2 values are 9.8% and 8.4%, and Qmax values are 190 and 262, respectively. The fabricated dual-band filter shows the center frequencies (fc) of 3065 MHz and 4808 MHz as two bands, with 3-dB fractional bandwidths (FBW) of 5.1% and 5.9%, respectively. Such a dual-band SAW filter based on a conventional ladder topology is meaningful in terms of its compact layout and diminished area occupancy. This work provides a promising avenue to constitute a high-performance dual-passband SAW filter for sub-6 GHz RF application.

A turn-on fluorescent probe, cage 1, was efficiently self-assembled by condensing 4,4′-(benzothiadiazole-4,7-diyl)dibenzaldehyde and TREN in chloroform. The formation of cage 1 was characterized and confirmed by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and theoretical calculations. The yield of cage 1 could be controlled by tuning the reaction conditions, such as the precursor concentration. Interestingly, the addition of 10 equiv of Cd2+ relative to cage 1 could increase the fluorescence almost seven-fold. 1H NMR and fluorescence experiments indicating fluorescence enhancement may be caused by the decomposition of cage 1. Such a high selectivity toward Cd2+ implies that the cage could potentially be employed in cadmium detection.

High penetration of renewable energy in the power grid causes serious frequency deviations. Large-scale integrations of electric vehicles (EVs) in the power grid provide considerable vehicle-to-grid potential for frequency regulation. Existing frequency regulation strategies with aggregated EVs realize accurate power control that relies on complete information interaction between the EV aggregator and individual EVs. However, the data collection for all EV parameters is not applicable due to privacy protection and the limited communication environment. Considering the limited data collection from grid-connected EVs, this paper provides a novel frequency regulation strategy and tends to address the uncertain influence from EV users’ charging requirements, the EV aggregator’s power regulation, and the frequency regulation performance. Firstly, considering the influence of the limited data collection by EVs on the users’ requirement of traveling and regulation preference, a probabilistic evaluation model for the available regulation capacity of the EV aggregator and the probabilistic control method for EVs are developed. Then, a frequency regulation strategy with error correction control and progressive regulation recovery is developed to simultaneously guarantee the system frequency regulation performance and the regulation requirements of EV users. Finally, case studies are carried out to validate the effectiveness of frequency regulation strategy for decreasing the uncertain influence from the limited data collection, ensuring the EV users’ requirements, and improving the system frequency stability.

A novel macrolactam named oxalactam A (1), three known dipeptides (2–4) as well as other known alkaloids (5–7) were obtained from the endophytic fungus Penicillium oxalicum, which was derived from the tuber of Icacina trichantha (Icacinaceae). All chemical structures were established based on spectroscopic data, chemical methods, ECD calculations, and 13C-DP4+ analysis. Among them, oxalactam A (1) is a 16-membered polyenic macrolactam bearing a new skeleton of 2,9-dimethyl-azacyclohexadecane core and exhibited potent anti-Rhizoctonia solani activity with a MIC value of 10 μg/mL in vitro. The plausible biosynthetic pathway of 1 was also proposed via the alanyl protecting mechanism. Notably, three dipeptides (2–4) were first identified from the endophytic fungus P. oxalicum and the NMR data of cyclo(L-Trp-L-Glu) (2) was reported for the first time. In addition, the binding interactions between compound 1 and the sterol 14α-demethylase enzyme (CYP51) were studied by molecular docking and dynamics technologies, and the results revealed that the 16-membered polyenic macrolactam could be a promising CYP51 inhibitor to develop as a new anti-Rhizoctonia solani fungicide.

Aims To determine the impact of anesthesia encountered and to optimize the treatment of perioperative pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in an effort to improve perioperative management and reduce complications. Methods We conducted a retrospective analysis of scoliosis patients with PAH who underwent scoliosis surgery. Results During this period, we identified a total of 22 patients. Their mean age was 22.18 ± 2.11 years. 16 PAH patients (72.72%) received PAH-specific treatment. Only Propofol-based TIVA was used intraoperatively. During the procedure, pulmonary artery catheters and PICCO catheters were placed in all patients to monitor intraoperative and postoperative mPAP, MAP, PRVI and SRVI. During tracheal intubation and intraoperative awake testing, mPAP generally tended to increase in all patients. 6 patients (27.27%) received intraoperative PAH-Specific therapy. All patients received oral sildenafil (75-100 mg/d orally), and 9 patients received postoperative oral sildenafil combined with nebulized iloprost (20 μg/d); intravenous treprostinil (2 ng/kg/min started and titrated to 10-17.5 ng/kg/min); or bosentan (250 mg/d) postoperatively. 7 patients (31.82%) reported postoperative complications, including 2 cases of respiratory failure requiring reintubation, 1 case of right heart failure, 2 cases of superficial surgical site infection, 1 case of fluid and electrolyte and acid-base imbalances, 2 cases of pneumonia and 1 case of pulmonary oedema with fluid overload. Two patients developed more than 1 postoperative complication. No in-hospital death occurred. Conclusions The anesthetic management of scoliosis patients with PAH is important task that, like its own surgery, relies on the input of the multidisciplinary team for its success. Close monitoring, optimization of systemic blood pressure, pain control, oxygenation and ventilation, avoidance of exacerbating factors, and the use of vasopressors and pulmonary vasodilators when necessary are essential elements of management.

The development of mobile communication sets higher demands on high frequency surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. The layout of interdigital transducers (IDT) in SAW devices is in plane and the traditional methods of improving frequency for SAW devices are the increase of acoustic velocity and the reduction of wavelength. However, these methods have a limit due to the limited acoustic velocity and the photolithography limit. This work proposes a new way for the development of high frequency SAW devices by redesigning the layout of IDT in three dimensions (3D). The set of IDTs is split into two layers, i.e. the ground electrodes on one layer and the signal electrodes on the other layer. This 3D layout of IDTs dramatically narrows the horizontal gap between two adjacent electrodes, which can significantly increase the frequency. The frequency and the electromechanical coupling factor (K2) of the four structures of SAW devices with the 3D layout of IDTs were studied by the finite element method (FEM). The results show that the frequency can be doubled under the same critical resolution of lithography due to the shortening of wavelength, and the 3D layout of IDTs is available for SAW devices based on piezoelectric thin film or piezoelectric single crystal. This work develops a new alternative to increase the working frequency of SAW devices.

In this study, high Curie Temperature (Tc) perovskite ceramics of optimized composition 0.55(0.1BiYbO3-0.9PbTiO3)-0.45PbZrO3 with unique double orthorhombic main phases were prepared by a modified sol-gel method. Compared to the usual solid-state prepared sample, the sol-gel derived sample has a 1.6 times higher d33 of 325 pC/N, a 2.4 times higher remnant polarization, and a much better high temperature stability with similar depolarization temperature (Td) and Tc. Comprehensive analysis of the xerogel prepared over a wide calcination temperature (Tcal) range of 300–1000 °C revealed that perovskite structure appeared at only 400 °C and it became the main phase above 500 °C. Comparison of XRD refinement results showed that calcination and sintering induced subtle and continuous phase transition, namely, the 400–900 °C calcined powders with coexisted tetragonal (P4mm) and orthorhombic (Pbam) phase changed to a rather stable double orthorhombic (Pmmm and Pbam) main phase in all the differently sintered ceramics, as similar to the 1000 °C calcined powders. The stable phase coexistence well explains the enhanced performance. The results also demonstrate that optimized sol-gel processing can provide high Tc ceramics with desirable multi-phase structure and significantly enhanced performance at a lower temperature. This study investigated the effects of the pharmacological manipulation of noradrenergic activities on dopaminergic phenotypes in aged rats. Results showed that the administration of L-threo-3,4-dihydroxyphenylserine (L-DOPS) for 21 days significantly increased the expression of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) and dopamine transporter (DAT) in the striatum and substantia nigra (SN) of 23-month-old rats. Furthermore, this treatment significantly increased norepinephrine/DA concentrations in the striatum and caused a deficit of sensorimotor gating as measured by prepulse inhibition (PPI). Next, old rats were injected with the α2-adrenoceptor antagonist 2-methoxy idazoxan or β2-adrenoceptor agonist salmeterol for 21 days. Both drugs produced similar changes of TH and DAT in the striatum and SN. Moreover, treatments with L-DOPS, 2-methoxy idazoxan, or salmeterol significantly increased the protein levels of phosphorylated Akt in rat striatum and SN. However, although a combination of 2-methoxy idazoxan and salmeterol resulted in a deficit of PPI in these rats, the administration of 2-methoxy idazoxan alone showed an opposite behavioral change. The in vitro experiments revealed that treatments with norepinephrine markedly increased mRNAs and proteins of ATF2 and CBP/p300 and reduced mRNA and proteins of HDAC2 and HDAC5 in MN9D cells. A ChIP assay showed that norepinephrine significantly increased CBP/p300 binding or reduced HDAC2 and HDAC5 binding on the TH promoter. The present results indicate that facilitating noradrenergic activity in the brain can improve the functions of dopaminergic neurons in aged animals. While this improvement may have biochemically therapeutic indication for the status involving the degeneration of dopaminergic neurons, it may not definitely include behavioral improvements, as indicated by using 2-methoxy idazoxan only.

Substantia gelatinosa (SG) neurons, which are located in the spinal dorsal horn (lamina II), have been identified as the “central gate” for the transmission and modulation of nociceptive information. Rebound depolarization (RD), a biophysical property mediated by membrane hyperpolarization that is frequently recorded in the central nervous system, contributes to shaping neuronal intrinsic excitability and, in turn, contributes to neuronal output and network function. However, the electrophysiological and morphological properties of SG neurons exhibiting RD remain unclarified. In this study, whole-cell patch-clamp recordings were performed on SG neurons from parasagittal spinal cord slices. RD was detected in 44.44% (84 out of 189) of the SG neurons recorded. We found that RD-expressing neurons had more depolarized resting membrane potentials, more hyperpolarized action potential (AP) thresholds, higher AP amplitudes, shorter AP durations, and higher spike frequencies in response to depolarizing current injection than neurons without RD. Based on their firing patterns and morphological characteristics, we propose that most of the SG neurons with RD mainly displayed tonic firing (69.05%) and corresponded to islet cell morphology (58.82%). Meanwhile, subthreshold currents, including the hyperpolarization-activated cation current (Ih) and T-type calcium current (IT), were identified in SG neurons with RD. Blockage of Ih delayed the onset of the first spike in RD, while abolishment of IT significantly blunted the amplitude of RD. Regarding synaptic inputs, SG neurons with RD showed lower frequencies in both spontaneous and miniature excitatory synaptic currents. Furthermore, RD-expressing neurons received either Aδ- or C-afferent-mediated monosynaptic and polysynaptic inputs. However, RD-lacking neurons received afferents from monosynaptic and polysynaptic Aδ fibers and predominantly polysynaptic C-fibers. These findings demonstrate that SG neurons with RD have a specific cell-type distribution, and may differentially process somatosensory information compared to those without RD.

The multi-functional buoy is an important facility for assisting the navigation of inland waterway ships. Therefore, real-time tracking of its position is an essential process to ensure the safety of ship navigation. Aiming at the problem of the low accuracy of multi-functional buoy drift prediction, an integrated deep learning model incorporating the attention mechanism and ResNet-GRU (RGA) to predict short-term drift values of buoys is proposed. The model has the strong feature expression capability of ResNet and the temporal memory capability of GRU, and the attention mechanism can capture important information adaptively, which can solve the nonlinear time series drift prediction problem well. In this paper, the data collected from multi-functional buoy #4 at Nantong anchorage No. 2 in the Yangtze River waters in China were studied as an example, and first linear interpolation was used for filling in missing values; then, input variables were selected based on Pearson correlation analysis, and finally, the model structure was designed for training and testing. The experimental results show that the mean square error, mean absolute error, root mean square error and mean percentage error of the RGA model on the test set are 5.113036, 1.609969, 2.261202 and 15.575886, respectively, which are significantly better than other models. This study provides a new idea for predicting the short-term drift of multi-functional buoys, which is helpful for their tracking and management.

Dysfunction of the central noradrenergic and dopaminergic systems is the primary neurobiological characteristic of Parkinson’s disease (PD). Importantly, neuronal loss in the locus coeruleus (LC) that occurs in early stages of PD may accelerate progressive loss of dopaminergic neurons. Therefore, restoring the activity and function of the deficient noradrenergic system may be an important therapeutic strategy for early PD. In the present study, the lentiviral constructions of transcription factors Phox2a/2b, Hand2 and Gata3, either alone or in combination, were microinjected into the LC region of the PD model VMAT2 Lo mice at 12 and 18 month age. Biochemical analysis showed that microinjection of lentiviral expression cassettes into the LC significantly increased mRNA levels of Phox2a, and Phox2b, which were accompanied by parallel increases of mRNA and proteins of dopamine β-hydroxylase (DBH) and tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) in the LC. Furthermore, there was considerable enhancement of DBH protein levels in the frontal cortex and hippocampus, as well as enhanced TH protein levels in the striatum and substantia nigra. Moreover, these manipulations profoundly increased norepinephrine and dopamine concentrations in the striatum, which was followed by a remarkable improvement of the spatial memory and locomotor behavior. These results reveal that over-expression of these transcription factors in the LC improves noradrenergic and dopaminergic activities and functions in this rodent model of PD. It provides the necessary groundwork for the development of gene therapies of PD, and expands our understanding of the link between the LC-norepinephrine and dopamine systems during the progression of PD.

The widespread use of Voltage Source Converter based High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (VSC-HVDC) technology has significantly increased the complexity of grid configuration and operation, which demands higher quality of AC/DC state estimation. The bad data detection and identification plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of state estimation outcomes. This paper presents a new approach to bad data in hybrid AC/DC grids based on the combined deep belief network (DBN) and K-means clustering method. First, the DBNs are trained separately for active and reactive power given the characteristics of VSC-HVDC by which the bad data can be detected. Then, an improved K-means is used for clustering the DBN outputs by setting the mean and the number of the samples within the clusters as two metrics for bad data identification. Finally, the case study is performed in a modified IEEE 14-bus system and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in terms of both the accuracy and efficiency. This paper deals with the state estimation problem for delayed neural networks under stochastic communication protocol (SCP). The time delay addressed is random and its probability distribution is known. The information between the sensors and state estimator is transmitted through constrained networks, and the SCP is introduced to determine which sensor could send data at a specific time. Moreover, a Markov chain is applied to described the SCP scheduling in networks. By using the stochastic analysis method, some delay-distribution-dependent conditions are obtained to guarantee the stability of the error dynamics with $ H_\infty $ performance. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The BIM-based building energy simulation plays an important role in sustainable design on the track of achieving the net-zero carbon building stock by 2050. However, the issues on BIM-BEM interoperability make the design process inefficient and less automatic. The insufficient semantic information may lead to results inaccurate while the error-prone geometry will terminate the simulation engine. Defective models and authoring tools lagging behind the standard often cause failures in creating a clean geometry that is acceptable to the simulation engine. This project aims to develop a workflow that helps with the documentation of a lightweight geometry in gbXML format. The implemented workflow bypasses the modeling inaccuracies and irrelevant details by reconstructing the model based on extrusions on patched floor plans. Compared with other gbXML files exported by BIM authoring tools, the resulting gbXML is more lightweight with airtight space boundaries. The gbXML has been further tested against EnergyPlus to demonstrate its capability in aiding a seamless geometry exchange between BIM and BEM.

Understanding the role of ionic migration in salt‐doped hydrogels is crucial for designing and using ionic skins. This study systematically investigates a typical ionic skin in the aspects of variations in capacitance and conductance with respect to stretch ratio. The ionic skin exhibits a sensitive response to the stretch ratio and input frequency. The capacitance can increase by 145% with increasing stretch ratio, whereas the ratio of capacitance variation to stretch ratio can exceed ≈0.25. The capacitance decreases with increasing frequency, whereas conductance increases. Capacitance or conductance with respect to stretch ratio exhibits an inflection point when the input frequency is fixed. Herein, an ionic domain model is proposed in which the ionic domains deform adaptively with global strain and released active ions. A portion of movable ions strengthens dielectric coupling, thereby significantly enhancing capacitance, and some of them act as free ion channels to increase conductance. The dielectric coupling is weakened when the active ions arriving at the electrode are depleted by either a significantly high frequency or large strain. This study will be useful for signal handling in ionic skin with high flux and high sensitivity and may also assist in understanding computing and memory principles of biological bodies.

Through a series of experiments using denitrifying phosphorus-accumulating sludge in sequencing batch reactors (SBRs), the variations of the intracellular polymers during the anaerobic phosphorus release process at different pH values were compared, the probable reasons for different performances of phosphorus removal were examined, and system operations in a typical cycle were investigated. The results show that the phosphorus removal rate was positively correlated with pH values in a range of 6.5–8.5. When the pH value was 8.0, the anaerobic phosphorus release rate and anoxic phosphorus uptake rate of the activated sludge were 20.95 mg/(g∙h) and 23.29 mg/(g∙h), respectively; the mass fraction of poly-β-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) increased to 62.87 mg/g under anaerobic conditions; the mass fraction of polyphosphate was 92.67 mg/g under anoxic conditions; and the effluent concentration of total phosphorus (TP) was 1.47 mg/L. With the increase of pH, the mass fraction of acetic acid and PHB also increased, and the absorption rate of acetic acid was equal to the disintegration rate of polyphosphate. When the pH value was above 8.0, biological phosphorus removal was achieved by chemical phosphorus precipitation, and the phosphorus removal rate decreased. For a belt conveyor, a belt with mini-cracks influences the safety of the operation of the belt conveyor devices significantly. The lumpy material rubbing against a belt with mini-cracks will lead to detrimental tears on the belt while the conveyor works at high speeds. In order to detect mini-cracks in a timely manner, before the occurrence of large tears, a new mini-crack detection method for conveyor belts based on laser excited thermography is proposed. A laser beam is applied to generate a heat wave on the belt surface, so the corresponding thermal images can be recorded by an infrared camera. Then, an algorithm for extracting and fusing the features of mini-crack belt’s thermal images is firstly proposed by using time sequence analysis. It could transform multiple sequential thermal images into a single thermal image according to the frame difference method, so that the infrared thermal response of the mini-crack over time could be recorded quickly. To reveal the features of mini-crack, the power function image enhancement algorithm is proposed. After that, the threshold segmentation and Hough transform algorithm are used to determine the size of the mini-crack. The experimental results show that the mini-cracks with length of 50–140 mm, width of 1–10 mm, and depth of 5 mm can be successfully detected, and the detection accuracy could reach 96%. The detection results of different sizes of mini-crack show that the laser excited thermography has high damage sensitivity (1 mm diameter mini-crack detection), high accuracy (96%), lower power consumption (15 W laser excitation), and high SNR (signal-to-noise ratio).

Surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices based on multi-layer structures have been widely used in filters and sensors. The electromechanical coupling factor (K2), which reflects energy-conversion efficiency, directly determines the bandwidth of the filter and the sensitivity of sensor. In this work, a new configuration of dual-mode (quasi-Rayleigh and quasi-Sezawa) SAW devices on a ZnO/SiC layered structure exhibiting significantly enhanced K2 was studied using the finite element method (FEM), which features in the partial etching of the piezoelectric film between the adjacent interdigitated electrodes (IDTs). The influences of piezoelectric film thickness, etching ratio, top electrodes, bottom electrodes, and the metallization ratio on the K2 were systematically investigated. The optimum K2 for the quasi-Rayleigh mode and quasi-Sezawa mode can exceed 12% and 8%, respectively, which increases by nearly 12 times and 2 times that of the conventional ZnO/SiC structure. Such significantly promoted K2 is of great benefit for better comprehensive performance of SAW devices. More specifically, a quasi-Rayleigh mode with relatively low acoustic velocity (Vp) can be applied into the miniaturization of SAW devices, while a quasi-Sezawa mode exhibiting a Vp value higher than 5000 m/s is suitable for fabricating SAW devices requiring high frequency and large bandwidth. This novel structure has proposed a viable route for fabricating SAW devices with excellent overall performance.

For the conveyor belt, variable material flow influences the energy efficiency of the speed control technology significantly. The fluctuation of material flow on the conveyor belt will lead to the detrimental vibrations on both the belt and the conveyor while the conveyor works at certain speeds. In order to improve the model inaccuracy caused by the uniform bulk material flow assumption in the current conveyor belt model, the paper establishes a high-precision dynamic model that can consider speed control of a conveyor belt under non-uniform bulk material transportation. In this dynamic model, a non-uniform bulk material distribution model is firstly proposed based on laser scanning technology. Then, a high-precision longitudinal dynamic model is proposed to investigate the dynamic behavior of a belt conveyor. Considering the micro-units of actual load on a conveyor belt, it can well describe the transient state of the conveyor belt. These models can be used to determine the optimal speed for safety and energy conservation in operation. Experimental results are used to validate the proposed dynamic model for analyzing belt mechanical behavior under non-uniform bulk material distribution on the belt. The results show that the proposed models can be used for optimizing the operating procedures of belt conveyor systems.

Achieving high resistance to acoustomigration and electromigration in the electrodes used in high-power and high-frequency surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters is important to mobile communications development. In this study, the effects of the Ti buffer layers on the textures and acoustomigration and electromigration resistances of the Al-Cu electrodes were studied comprehensively. The results demonstrate that both power durability and electromigration lifetime are positively correlated with the Al-Cu electrode texture quality. Ultrathin (∼2 nm) Ti can lead to the strongest Al-Cu (111) textured electrodes, with a full width at half maximum of the rocking curve of 2.09°. This represents a remarkable enhancement of the power durability of high-frequency 2.6 GHz SAW filters from 29 dBm to 35 dBm. It also produces lifetime almost 7 times longer than those of electrodes without Ti buffer layers in electromigration tests. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy analyses revealed that these improved acoustomigration and electromigration resistances can be attributed primarily to the reductions in overall and large-angle grain boundaries in the highly Al-Cu (111) textured electrodes. Furthermore, the growth mechanism of highly Al-Cu texture films is discussed in terms of surface-interface energy balance.

In this study, we developed fluorescent dual pH and oxygen sensors loaded in multi-well plates for in-situ and high-throughput monitoring of oxygen respiration and extracellular acidification during microbial cell growth for understanding metabolism. Biocompatible PHEMA-co-PAM materials were used as the hydrogel matrix. A polymerizable oxygen probe (OS2) derived from PtTFPP and a polymerizable pH probe (S2) derived from fluorescein were chemically conjugated into the matrix to solve the problem of the probe leaching from the matrix. Gels were allowed to cure directly on the bottom of 96-well plates at room-temperature via redox polymerization. The influence of matrix’s composition on the sensing behaviors was investigated to optimize hydrogels with enough robustness for repeatable use with good sensitivity. Responses of the dual sensing hydrogels to dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH were studied. These dual oxygen-pH sensing plates were successfully used for microbial cell-based screening assays, which are based on the measurement of fluorescence intensity changes induced by cellular oxygen consumption and pH changes during microbial growth. This method may provide a real-time monitoring of cellular respiration, acidification, and a rapid kinetic assessment of multiple samples for cell viability as well as high-throughput drug screening. All of these assays can be carried out by a conventional plate reader.

Pt/poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl)/polyethylene oxide + Li+/Pt hetero junctions were fabricated, and their pulse responses were studied. The direct current characteristics were not symmetric in the sweeping range of ±2 V. Negative differential resistance appeared in the input range of 0 to 2 V because of de-doping (or reduction) in the side with the semiconductor layer. The device responded stably to a train of pulses with a fixed frequency. The inverse current after a pulse was related to the back-migrated ions. Importantly, the weight calculated based on the inverse current strength, was depressed during low-frequency stimulations but was potentiated during high-frequency stimulations when pulses were positive. Therefore, frequency selectivity was first observed in a semiconducting polymer/electrolyte hetero junction. Detailed analysis of the pulse response showed that the input frequency could modulate the timing of ion doping, de-doping, and re-doping at the semiconducting polymer/electrolyte interface, which then resulted in the frequency selectivity. Our study suggests that the simple redox process in semiconducting polymers can be modulated and used in signal handling or the simulation of bio-learning.

It has been suggested that autophagy-related Beclin 1 plays a critical role in the regulation of tumor development and/or progression, but its prognostic significance and relationship with Bcl-xL expression in ovarian carcinoma are unclear.In the present study, the methods of Western blotting and immunohistochemistry (IHC) were utilized to investigate the expression status of Beclin 1 and Bcl-xL in fresh ovarian tissues and paraffin-embedded epithelial ovarian tumor tissues.
