Abstract: Using data samples with a total integrated luminosity of 253 $\rm pb^{-1}$ collected by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, the differential cross-sections of inclusive $\pi^\pm$ and $K^\pm$ production, as a function of momentum and normalized by the total hadronic cross-section, are measured at center-of-mass energies from 2.000 to 3.671 GeV. The measured $\pi^{\pm}$ cross sections are consistent with the previously reported $\pi^{0}$ cross-sections by BESIII, while the $K^{\pm}$ cross sections are systematically higher than the $K^0_S$ cross sections by a factor of approximately 1.4. These new results are in agreement with state-of-the-art QCD analyses at next-to-next-to-leading order accuracy, particularly in the large hadron momentum region at energy scales down to 3 GeV. These findings support the validity of isospin symmetry in parton fragmentation processes.

Abstract: In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of an unidentified point-like ultra-high-energy (UHE) $\gamma$-ray source, designated as 1LHAASO J1740+0948u, situated in the vicinity of the middle-aged pulsar PSR J1740+1000. The detection significance reached 17.1$\sigma$ (9.4$\sigma$) above 25$\,$TeV (100$\,$TeV). The source energy spectrum extended up to 300$\,$TeV, which was well fitted by a log-parabola function with $N0 = (1.93\pm0.23) \times 10^{-16} \rm{TeV^{-1}\,cm^{-2}\,s^{-2}}$, $\alpha = 2.14\pm0.27$, and $\beta = 1.20\pm0.41$ at E0 = 30$\,$TeV. The associated pulsar, PSR J1740+1000, resides at a high galactic latitude and powers a bow-shock pulsar wind nebula (BSPWN) with an extended X-ray tail. The best-fit position of the gamma-ray source appeared to be shifted by $0.2^{\circ}$ with respect to the pulsar position. As the (i) currently identified pulsar halos do not demonstrate such offsets, and (ii) centroid of the gamma-ray emission is approximately located at the extension of the X-ray tail, we speculate that the UHE $\gamma$-ray emission may originate from re-accelerated electron/positron pairs that are advected away in the bow-shock tail., Comment: Corrected spelling errors in several author names

Abstract: Using $(2712\pm14)\times10^6$ $\psi(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we perform the first amplitude analysis of the radiative decay $\psi(3686)\to \gamma K_S^0 K_S^0$ within the mass region $M_{K_S^0 K_S^0 }<2.8$ GeV/$c^2$. Employing a one-channel K-matrix approach for the description of the dynamics of the $K^0_S K^0_S$ system, the data sample is well described with four poles for the $f_0$-wave and three poles for the $f_2$-wave. The determined pole positions are consistent with those of well-established resonance states. The observed $f_0$ and $f_{2}$ states are found to be qualitatively consistent with those produced in radiative $J/\psi$ decays, indicating the similarity between the two charmonium states in their radiative decays., Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, submitted to JHEP

4. Cove-edged Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons with Chirality-Dependent Bandgap and Carrier Mobility

Abstract: Graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) have garnered significant interest due to their highly customizable physicochemical properties and potential utility in nanoelectronics. Besides controlling widths and edge structures, the inclusion of chirality in GNRs brings another dimension for fine-tuning their optoelectronic properties, but related studies remain elusive owing to the absence of feasible synthetic strategies. Here, we demonstrate a novel class of cove-edged chiral GNRs (CcGNRs) with a tunable chiral vector (n,m). Notably, the bandgap and effective mass of (n,2)- CcGNR show a distinct positive correlation with the increasing value of n, as indicated by theory. Within this GNR family, two representative members, namely, (4,2)- CcGNR and (6,2)-CcGNR, are successfully synthesized. Both CcGNRs exhibit prominently curved geometries arising from the incorporated [4]helicene motifs along their peripheries, as also evidenced by the single-crystal structures of the two respective model compounds (1 and 2). The chemical identities and optoelectronic properties of (4,2)- and (6,2)-CcGNRs are comprehensively investigated via a combination of IR, Raman, solid-state NMR, UV-vis, and THz spectroscopies as well as theoretical calculations. In line with theoretical expectation, the obtained (6,2)-CcGNR possesses a low optical bandgap of 1.37 eV along with charge carrier mobility of 8 cm2/Vs, whereas (4,2)-CcGNR exhibits a narrower bandgap of 1.26 eV with increased mobility of 14 cm2/Vs. This work opens up a new avenue to precisely engineer the bandgap and carrier mobility of GNRs by manipulating their chiral vector.

Abstract: The core-collapse supernova remnant (SNR) Cassiopeia A (Cas A) is one of the brightest galactic radio sources with an angular radius of $\sim$ 2.5 $\arcmin$. Although no extension of this source has been detected in the $\gamma$-ray band, using more than 1000 days of LHAASO data above $\sim 0.8$ TeV, we find that its spectrum is significantly softer than those obtained with Imaging Air Cherenkov Telescopes (IACTs) and its flux near $\sim 1$ TeV is about two times higher. In combination with analyses of more than 16 years of \textit{Fermi}-LAT data covering $0.1 \, \mathrm{GeV} - 1 \, \mathrm{TeV}$, we find that the spectrum above 30 GeV deviates significantly from a single power-law, and is best described by a smoothly broken power-law with a spectral index of $1.90 \pm 0.15_\mathrm{stat}$ ($3.41 \pm 0.19_\mathrm{stat}$) below (above) a break energy of $0.63 \pm 0.21_\mathrm{stat} \, \mathrm{TeV}$. Given differences in the angular resolution of LHAASO-WCDA and IACTs, TeV $\gamma$-ray emission detected with LHAASO may have a significant contribution from regions surrounding the SNR illuminated by particles accelerated earlier, which, however, are treated as background by IACTs. Detailed modelling can be used to constrain acceleration processes of TeV particles in the early stage of SNR evolution.

6. Enhancing Vision-Language Tracking by Effectively Converting Textual Cues into Visual Cues

Abstract: Vision-Language Tracking (VLT) aims to localize a target in video sequences using a visual template and language description. While textual cues enhance tracking potential, current datasets typically contain much more image data than text, limiting the ability of VLT methods to align the two modalities effectively. To address this imbalance, we propose a novel plug-and-play method named CTVLT that leverages the strong text-image alignment capabilities of foundation grounding models. CTVLT converts textual cues into interpretable visual heatmaps, which are easier for trackers to process. Specifically, we design a textual cue mapping module that transforms textual cues into target distribution heatmaps, visually representing the location described by the text. Additionally, the heatmap guidance module fuses these heatmaps with the search image to guide tracking more effectively. Extensive experiments on mainstream benchmarks demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach, achieving state-of-the-art performance and validating the utility of our method for enhanced VLT., Comment: Accepted by ICASSP '25 ! 7. Interlayer charge transfer induced by electronic instabilities in the natural van der Waals hetrostructure 4H$_b$-TaS$_2$

Abstract: The natural van der Waals heterostructure 4H$_b$-TaS$_2$ composed of alternating 1T- and 1H-TaS$_2$ layers serves as a platform for investigating the electronic correlations and layer-dependent properties of novel quantum materials. The temperature evolution of the conductivity spectra $\sigma(\omega)$ obtained through infrared spectroscopy elucidates the influence of band modifications associated with the charge-density-wave (CDW) superlattice on the 1T layer, resulting in a room-temperature energy gap, $\Delta_{\rm CDW}\approx$ 0.35 eV. However, there is no gap associated to the 1H layer. Supported by density functional theory calculations, we attribute the behavior of interband transitions to the convergence of the layers, which amplifies the charge transfer from the 1T to the 1H layers, progressing as the temperature decreases. Abstract: We review lattice results related to pion, kaon, $D$-meson, $B$-meson, and nucleon physics with the aim of making them easily accessible to the nuclear and particle physics communities. More specifically, we report on the determination of the light-quark masses, the form factor $f_+(0)$ arising in the semileptonic $K \to \pi$ transition at zero momentum transfer, as well as the decay-constant ratio $f_K/f_\pi$ and its consequences for the CKM matrix elements $V_{us}$ and $V_{ud}$. We review the determination of the $B_K$ parameter of neutral kaon mixing as well as the additional four $B$ parameters that arise in theories of physics beyond the Standard Model. For the heavy-quark sector, we provide results for $m_c$ and $m_b$ as well as those for the decay constants, form factors, and mixing parameters of charmed and bottom mesons and baryons. These are the heavy-quark quantities most relevant for the determination of CKM matrix elements and the global CKM unitarity-triangle fit. We review the status of lattice determinations of the strong coupling constant $\alpha_s$. We review the determinations of nucleon charges from the matrix elements of both isovector and flavour-diagonal axial, scalar and tensor local quark bilinears, and momentum fraction, helicity moment and the transversity moment from one-link quark bilinears. We also review determinations of scale-setting quantities. Abstract: The Water Cherenkov Detector Array (WCDA) is one of the components of Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) and can monitor any sources over two-thirds of the sky for up to 7 hours per day with >98\% duty cycle. In this work, we report the detection of two outbursts of the Fanaroff-Riley I radio galaxy NGC 1275 that were detected by LHAASO-WCDA between November 2022 and January 2023 with statistical significance of 5.2~$\sigma$ and 8.3~$\sigma$. The observed spectral energy distribution in the range from 500 GeV to 3 TeV is fitted by a power-law with a best-fit spectral index of $\alpha=-3.37\pm0.52$ and $-3.35\pm0.29$, respectively. The outburst flux above 0.5~TeV was ($4.55\pm 4.21)\times~10^{-11}~\rm cm^{-2}~s^{-1}$ and ($3.45\pm 1.78)\times~10^{-11}~\rm cm^{-2}~s^{-1}$, corresponding to 60\%, 45\% of Crab Nebula flux. Variation analysis reveals the variability time-scale of days at the TeV energy band. Abstract: Aluminum scandium nitride (AlScN) has emerged as a highly promising material for high-temperature applications due to its robust piezoelectric, ferroelectric, and dielectric properties. This study investigates the behavior of Al0.7Sc0.3N thin films in extreme thermal environments, demonstrating functional stability up to 1000{\deg}C, making it suitable for use in aerospace, hypersonics, deep-well, and nuclear reactor systems. Tantalum silicide (TaSi2)/Al0.7Sc0.3N/TaSi2 capacitors were fabricated and characterized across a wide temperature range, revealing robust ferroelectric and dielectric properties, along with significant enhancement in piezoelectric performance. At 1000{\deg}C, the ferroelectric hysteresis loops showed a substantial reduction in coercive field from 4.3 MV/cm to 1.2 MV/cm, while the longitudinal piezoelectric coefficient increased nearly tenfold, reaching 75.1 pm/V at 800{\deg}C. Structural analysis via scanning and transmission electron microscopy confirmed the integrity of the TaSi2/Al0.7Sc0.3N interfaces, even after exposure to extreme temperatures. Furthermore, the electromechanical coupling coefficient was calculated to increase by over 500%, from 12.9% at room temperature to 82% at 700{\deg}C. These findings establish AlScN as a versatile material for high-temperature ferroelectric, piezoelectric, and dielectric applications, offering unprecedented thermal stability and functional enhancement.

11. Wide-range quantum enhanced rotation sensing with 1+2 dimensional dynamical decoupling techniques

Abstract: We propose a motional dynamical decoupling technique by utilizing a sequence of $\pi$-phase shifts, instead of the conventional $\pi$-pulses for spin flipping, to implement the quantum enhanced rotation sensing with a 1+2 dimensional hybrid atomic Sagnic interferometor. By fully disentangling the spin from the two-dimensional vibrational modes of the particle under rotation, the spin coherence time and thus the phase accumulation can be significantly increased. Consequently, both the achievable sensitivity and dynamic range of the rotation sensing can be significantly enhanced and extended simultaneously, compared to the previous schemes where the spin and motions of the particle were not completely decoupled. The experimental feasibility for the unambiguous estimation of the rotation parameters is also discussed. Hopefully, this technique holds promise for overcoming certain challenges existing in the usual matter-wave Sagnac interferometers with trapped particles, particularly for the practical inertial navigation that demands both high sensitivity and large dynamic range.

Abstract: We report the detection of an extended very-high-energy (VHE) gamma-ray source coincident with the location of middle-aged (62.4~\rm kyr) pulsar PSR J0248+6021, by using the LHAASO-WCDA data of live 796 days and LHAASO-KM2A data of live 1216 days. A significant excess of \gray induced showers is observed both by WCDA in energy bands of 1-25~\rm TeV and KM2A in energy bands of $>$ 25~\rm TeV with 7.3 $\sigma$ and 13.5 $\sigma$, respectively. The best-fit position derived through WCDA data is R.A. = 42.06$^\circ \pm$ 0.12$^\circ$ and Dec. = 60.24$^\circ \pm $ 0.13$^\circ$ with an extension of 0.69$^\circ\pm$0.15$^\circ$ and that of the KM2A data is R.A.= 42.29$^\circ \pm $ 0.13$^\circ$ and Dec. = 60.38$^\circ \pm$ 0.07$^\circ$ with an extension of 0.37$^\circ\pm$0.07$^\circ$. No clear extended multiwavelength counterpart of this LHAASO source has been found from the radio band to the GeV band. The most plausible explanation of the VHE \gray emission is the inverse Compton process of highly relativistic electrons and positrons injected by the pulsar. 13. Catalogue of Phonon Instabilities in Symmetry Group 191 Kagome MT$_6$Z$_6$ Materials

Abstract: Kagome materials manifest rich physical properties due to the emergence of abundant electronic phases. Here, we carry out a high-throughput first-principles study of the kagome 1:6:6 family MT$_6$Z$_6$ materials in space group 191, focusing on their phonon instability and electronic flat bands. Different MT$_6$Z$_6$ kagome candidates reveal a remarkable variety of kagome flat bands ranging from unfilled, partially filled, to fully filled. Notably, the Mn/Fe-166 compounds exhibit partially filled flat bands with a pronounced sharp peak in the density of states near the Fermi level, leading to magnetic orders that polarize the bands and stabilize the otherwise unstable phonon. When the flat bands are located away from the Fermi level, we find a large number of phonon instabilities, which can be classified into three types, based on the phonon dispersion and vibrational modes. Type-I instabilities involve the in-plane distortion of kagome nets, while type-II and type-III present out-of-plane distortion of trigonal M and Z atoms. We take MgNi$_6$Ge$_6$ and HfNi$_6$In$_6$ as examples to illustrate the possible CDW structures derived from the emergent type-I and type-II instabilities. The type-I instability in MgNi$_6$Ge$_6$ suggests a nematic phase transition, governed by the local twisting of kagome nets. The type-II instability in HfNi$_6$In$_6$ may result in a hexagonal-to-orthorhombic transition, offering insight into the formation of MT$_6$Z$_6$ in other space groups. Additionally, the predicted ScNb$_6$Sn$_6$ is analyzed as an example of the type-III instability. 14. Upgrading the existing Haloscope-type detector for sensitive axion detection

Abstract: Haloscope is one of the typical installations to detect the electromagnetic responses (EMRs) of axion field in radio-frequency (rf) band. Given what the detection by the existing Haloscope-type detector (HTD) biased only by a high stationary magnetic field, is just the second axion-photon energy converted effect and thus the detectable signal is still significantly weak, here we propose a feasible approach to upgrade the existing HTD by additionally applying a transverse rf modulated magnetic field for generating the first-order axion-photon energy converted signal. Accordingly, we argue that the detection sensitivity of the upgrading HTD (UHTD) could be enhanced feasibly by a few orders of magnitude, compared with those achieved by the existing HTDs. 15. Influences of modified Chaplygin dark fluid around a black hole

Abstract: In this work, we study a static, spherically charged AdS black hole within a modified cosmological Chaplygin gas (MCG), adhering to the calorific equation of state, as a unified dark fluid model of dark energy and dark matter. We explore the influence of model parameters on several characteristics of the MCG-motivated charged AdS black hole (MCG-AdSBH), including the geodesic structure and some astrophysical phenomena such as null trajectories, shadow silhouettes, light deflection angles, and the determination of greybody bounds. We then discuss how the model parameters affect the Hawking temperature, remnant radius, and evaporation process of the MCG-AdSBH. Quasinormal modes are also investigated using the eikonal approximation method. Constraints on the MCG-AdSBH parameters are derived from EHT observations of M87* and Sgr A*, suggesting that MCG-AdSBH could be strong candidates for astrophysical black hole., Comment: 8 pages, 11 figures, 4 tables

Abstract: In this work we try to search for signals generated by ultra-heavy dark matter at the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO) data. We look for possible gamma-ray by dark matter annihilation or decay from 16 dwarf spheroidal galaxies in the field of view of LHAASO. Dwarf spheroidal galaxies are among the most promising targets for indirect detection of dark matter which have low fluxes of astrophysical $\gamma$-ray background while large amount of dark matter. By analyzing more than 700 days observational data at LHAASO, no significant dark matter signal from 1 TeV to 1 EeV is detected. Accordingly we derive the most stringent constraints on the ultra-heavy dark matter annihilation cross-section up to EeV. Abstract: The KM2A is the largest sub-array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). It consists of 5216 electromagnetic particle detectors (EDs) and 1188 muon detectors (MDs). The data recorded by the EDs and MDs are used to reconstruct primary information of cosmic ray and gamma-ray showers. This information is used for physical analysis in gamma-ray astronomy and cosmic ray physics. To ensure the reliability of the LHAASO-KM2A data, a three-level quality control system has been established. It is used to monitor the status of detector units, stability of reconstructed parameters and the performance of the array based on observations of the Crab Nebula and Moon shadow. This paper will introduce the control system and its application on the LHAASO-KM2A data collected from August 2021 to July 2023. During this period, the pointing and angular resolution of the array were stable. From the observations of the Moon shadow and Crab Nebula, the results achieved using the two methods are consistent with each other. According to the observation of the Crab Nebula at energies from 25 TeV to 100 TeV, the time averaged pointing errors are estimated to be $-0.003^{\circ} \pm 0.005^{\circ}$ and $0.001^{\circ} \pm 0.006^{\circ}$ in the R.A. and Dec directions, respectively., Comment: 15 pages, 9 figures

Abstract: The first source catalog of Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory reported the detection of a very-high-energy gamma ray source, 1LHAASO J1219+2915. In this paper a further detailed study of the spectral and temporal behavior of this point-like source have been carried. The best-fit position of the TeV source ($\rm{RA}=185.05^{\circ}\pm0.04^{\circ}$, $\rm{Dec}=29.25^{\circ}\pm0.03^{\circ}$) is compatible with NGC 4278 within $\sim0.03$ degree. Variation analysis shows an indication of the variability at a few months level in the TeV band, which is consistent with low frequency observations. Based on these observations, we report the detection of TeV $\gamma$-ray emissions from this low-luminosity AGN NGC 4278. The observations by LHAASO-WCDA during active period has a significance level of 8.8\,$\sigma$ with best-fit photon spectral index $\varGamma=2.56\pm0.14$ and a flux $f_{1-10\,\rm{TeV}}=(7.0\pm1.1_{\rm{sta}}\pm0.35_{\rm{syst}})\times10^{-13}\,\rm{photons\,cm^{-2}\,s^{-1}}$, or approximately $5\%$ of the Crab Nebula. The discovery of VHE from NGC 4278 indicates that the compact, weak radio jet can efficiently accelerate particles and emit TeV photons., Comment: 11 pages, 5 figures

Abstract: KM2A is one of the main sub-arrays of LHAASO, working on gamma ray astronomy and cosmic ray physics at energies above 10 TeV. Detector simulation is the important foundation for estimating detector performance and data analysis. It is a big challenge to simulate the KM2A detector in the framework of Geant4 due to the need to track numerous photons from a large number of detector units (>6000) with large altitude difference (30 m) and huge coverage (1.3 km^2). In this paper, the design of the KM2A simulation code G4KM2A based on Geant4 is introduced. The process of G4KM2A is optimized mainly in memory consumption to avoid memory overffow. Some simpliffcations are used to signiffcantly speed up the execution of G4KM2A. The running time is reduced by at least 30 times compared to full detector simulation. The particle distributions and the core/angle resolution comparison between simulation and experimental data of the full KM2A array are also presented, which show good agreement.

Abstract: We present the measurements of all-particle energy spectrum and mean logarithmic mass of cosmic rays in the energy range of 0.3-30 PeV using data collected from LHAASO-KM2A between September 2021 and December 2022, which is based on a nearly composition-independent energy reconstruction method, achieving unprecedented accuracy. Our analysis reveals the position of the knee at $3.67 \pm 0.05 \pm 0.15$ PeV. Below the knee, the spectral index is found to be -$2.7413 \pm 0.0004 \pm 0.0050$, while above the knee, it is -$3.128 \pm 0.005 \pm 0.027$, with the sharpness of the transition measured with a statistical error of 2%. The mean logarithmic mass of cosmic rays is almost heavier than helium in the whole measured energy range. It decreases from 1.7 at 0.3 PeV to 1.3 at 3 PeV, representing a 24% decline following a power law with an index of -$0.1200 \pm 0.0003 \pm 0.0341$. This is equivalent to an increase in abundance of light components. Above the knee, the mean logarithmic mass exhibits a power law trend towards heavier components, which is reversal to the behavior observed in the all-particle energy spectrum. Additionally, the knee position and the change in power-law index are approximately the same. These findings suggest that the knee observed in the all-particle spectrum corresponds to the knee of the light component, rather than the medium-heavy components., Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures

Abstract: Endometrial cancer, the fourth most common cancer in females in the United States, with the lifetime risk for developing this disease is approximately 2.8% in women. Precise histologic evaluation and molecular classification of endometrial cancer is important for effective patient management and determining the best treatment modalities. This study introduces EndoNet, which uses convolutional neural networks for extracting histologic features and a vision transformer for aggregating these features and classifying slides based on their visual characteristics into high- and low- grade. The model was trained on 929 digitized hematoxylin and eosin-stained whole-slide images of endometrial cancer from hysterectomy cases at Dartmouth-Health. It classifies these slides into low-grade (Endometroid Grades 1 and 2) and high-grade (endometroid carcinoma FIGO grade 3, uterine serous carcinoma, carcinosarcoma) categories. EndoNet was evaluated on an internal test set of 110 patients and an external test set of 100 patients from the public TCGA database. The model achieved a weighted average F1-score of 0.91 (95% CI: 0.86-0.95) and an AUC of 0.95 (95% CI: 0.89-0.99) on the internal test, and 0.86 (95% CI: 0.80-0.94) for F1-score and 0.86 (95% CI: 0.75-0.93) for AUC on the external test. 24. Parametric Frequency Divider based Ising Machines

Abstract: We report on a new class of Ising Machines (IMs) that rely on coupled parametric frequency dividers (PFDs) as macroscopic artificial spins. Unlike the IM counterparts based on subharmonic injection locking (SHIL), PFD IMs do not require strong injected continuous wave signals or applied DC voltages. Therefore, they show a significantly lower power consumption per spin compared to SHIL based IMs, making it feasible to accurately solve large scale combinatorial optimization problems (COPs) that are hard or even impossible to solve by using the current von Neumann computing architectures. Furthermore, using high quality (Q) factor resonators in the PFD design makes PFD IMs able to exhibit a nanoWatt level power per spin. Also, it remarkably allows a speed up of the phase synchronization among the PFDs, resulting in shorter time to solution and lower energy to solution despite the resonators' longer relaxation time. As a proof of concept, a 4 node PFD IM has been demonstrated. This IM correctly solves a set of MaxCut problems while consuming just 600 nanoWatts per spin. This power consumption is two orders of magnitude lower than the power per spin of state of the art SHIL based IMs operating at the same frequency.

Abstract: The discovery of two-dimensional (2D) magnetism within atomically thin structures derived from layered crystals has opened up a new realm for exploring magnetic heterostructures. This emerging field provides a foundational platform for investigating unique physical properties and exquisite phenomena at the nanometer and molecular/atomic scales. By engineering 2D interfaces using physical methods and selecting interlayer interactions, we unlock the potential for extraordinary exchange dynamics. This potential extends to high-performance and high-density magnetic memory applications, as well as future advancements in neuromorphic and quantum computing. This review delves into recent advances in 2D magnets, elucidates the mechanisms behind 2D interfaces, and highlights the development of 2D devices for spintronics and quantum information. Particular focus is placed on 2D magnetic heterostructures with topological properties, promising for a resilient and low-error information system. Abstract: For decades, supernova remnants (SNRs) have been considered the prime sources of Galactic Cosmic rays (CRs). But whether SNRs can accelerate CR protons to PeV energies and thus dominate CR flux up to the knee is currently under intensive theoretical and phenomenological debate. The direct test of the ability of SNRs to operate as CR PeVatrons can be provided by ultrahigh-energy (UHE; $E_\gamma \geq 100$~TeV) $\gamma$-rays. In this context, the historical SNR Cassiopeia A (Cas A) is considered one of the most promising target for UHE observations. This paper presents the observation of Cas A and its vicinity by the LHAASO KM2A detector. The exceptional sensitivity of LHAASO KM2A in the UHE band, combined with the young age of Cas A, enabled us to derive stringent model-independent limits on the energy budget of UHE protons and nuclei accelerated by Cas A at any epoch after the explosion. Abstract: The highest energy gamma-rays from gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) have important implications for their radiation mechanism. Here we report for the first time the detection of gamma-rays up to 13 TeV from the brightest GRB 221009A by the Large High Altitude Air-shower Observatory (LHAASO). The LHAASO-KM2A detector registered more than 140 gamma-rays with energies above 3 TeV during 230$-$900s after the trigger. The intrinsic energy spectrum of gamma-rays can be described by a power-law after correcting for extragalactic background light (EBL) absorption. Such a hard spectrum challenges the synchrotron self-Compton (SSC) scenario of relativistic electrons for the afterglow emission above several TeV. Observations of gamma-rays up to 13 TeV from a source with a measured redshift of z=0.151 hints more transparency in intergalactic space than previously expected. 29. Sub-SQL electronic field sensing by simultaneously using quantum entanglements and squeezings

Abstract: Quantum entanglement and quantum squeezing are two most typical approaches to beat the standard quantum limit (SQL) of the sensitive phase estimations in quantum metrology. Each of them has already been utilized individually to improve the sensitivity of electric field sensing with the trapped ion platform, but the upper bound of the demonstrated sensitivity gain is very limited, i.e., the experimental 3dB and theoretical 6dB, over the SQL. Here, by simultaneously using the internal (spin)-external (oscillator) state entanglements and the oscillator squeezings to effectively amplify the accumulation phase, we show that these sensitivity gains can be effectively surpassed. Hopefully, the proposal provides a novel approach to the stronger beaten of the SQL for the sensitive sensings of the desired electric field and also the other metrologies.

The rabbit tooth extraction model was established, SVNs and simvastatin (SV) were loaded on gelatin sponge and inserted into the extraction socket. CBCT scans were performed at 0, 2, and 4 weeks postoperatively to evaluate bone formation and alveolar ridge absorption in the extraction sockets. And all the animals were sacrificed and the mandibles were harvested. And HE staining and Masson staining were used for histological evaluation of the bone formation in the extraction sockets.Results: Radiographic evaluation showed that compared with the blank control group, at 2 and 4 weeks after extraction, SVNs increased the new bone density in the extraction sockets by 75.7% and 96.5%, and reduced the absorption rate of alveolar ridge length at the extraction sites by 60.8% and 49.1%, respectively. The clinical remission rates of RA patients estimated using the DAS28-CRP, CDAI, SDAI, Boolean1.0 and Boolean2.0 criteria were investigated. Variables were compared using the t-test, Mann–Whitney U-test, or chi-squared test. The agreement between Boolean remission and the DAS28-CRP, CDAI, or SDAI definitions of remission was assessed using McNemar’s test with k coefficient of agreement.Results: A total of 5619 patients were included in the analysis. The mean age of the patients was 56.33 (± 13.01) years, with the majority being female (4491, 79.9%). The rates of remission, as assessed by Boolean2.0, Boolean1.0, DAS28-CRP, CDAI, and SDAI, were 16.6%, 9.7%, 35.2%, 9.1%, and 9.4%, respectively. Comparison with Boolean1.0 criteria revealed higher concordance between Boolean2.0 and DAS28-CRP remission and lower concordance with CDAI and SDAI, regardless of whether the analysis was conducted on the entire population or subgroups based on gender, age or disease duration. We aim to investigate the methylation profiles of ctDNA in patients with advanced NSCLC undergoing EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) therapy and to discover novel biomarkers with predictive or prognostic value.Patients and Methods: We recruited 49 patients with EGFR-mutated advanced NSCLC undergoing EGFR-TKI as first-line treatment. Utilizing next-generation sequencing, we examined the somatic mutations and methylation signatures within the tumor-associated genomic regions of ctDNA from pre-treatment blood. Subsequently, we explored the association of these molecular features with the patients’ response to therapy and their progression-free survival (PFS).Results: Genomic mutation profiling revealed no significant association of PFS or best overall response (BOR) and ctDNA status. Evaluation of ctDNA methylation showed a negative correlation between the methylation of small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) genes and PFS (R=− 0.31, P=0.043). Patients were assigned to one of two groups: 63 received neoadjuvant hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) combined with Lenvatinib followed by liver resection (HAIC+Len→LR), while 91 received direct liver resection (LR). The primary outcomes assessed were median overall survival (mOS), median progression-free survival (mPFS), median duration of response (mDOR), and adverse events (AEs).Results: Patients in the HAIC+Len→LR group demonstrated significantly longer median overall survival (mOS) (40.1 months vs 35.9 months, P=0.001) and median progression-free survival (mPFS) (32.8 months vs 23.8 months, P=0.0023) compared to the LR group. Preoperative complete response (CR) to HAIC was associated with better median duration of response (mDOR) and mOS compared to partial response (PR) (not reached vs 28.9 months, P=0.006; 40.0 vs 29.1 months, P=0.037). Subgroup analysis revealed no significant difference in OS or PFS between the HAIC+Len→LR and LR groups in early Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stages. However, in late BCLC stages, the HAIC+Len→LR group exhibited significantly improved OS and PFS (HR 0.471, P=0.016; HR 0.551, P=0.022). A total of 232 patients with hepatocellular carcinoma who underwent surgical resection at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from September 2022 to December 2023 were included, comprising 210 operating patients and 53 conversion patients. Propensity score matching was employed for comparison in order to minimize bias.Results: The conversion group had more intraoperative bleeding (each P=0.001), longer operation time (P=0.033; PSM p=0.025), and higher intraoperative blood transfusion rate (p=0.001; PSM p=0.044). The incidence of perioperative complications, including perioperative ascites formation (p=0.011; PSM p=0.005), moderate to severe anemia (p=0.001; PSM p=0.002), postoperative blood transfusion (p=0.004; PSM p=0.036), and postoperative ICU transfer (p=0.041; PSM p=0.025), was higher in the conversion group compared to the operation group. The postoperative hospital stay (p=0.001; PSM p=0.003) was prolonged in the conversion group.Conclusion: Post-conversion operations carry a higher risk of bleeding and are more likely to result in moderate to severe anemia and ascites formation in the perioperative period. However, the risk is reversible with adequate preoperative blood preparation and prompt postoperative symptomatic treatment. This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram for the risk prediction of MS based on inflammatory markers.Patient Data and Methods: Data from 448 consecutive patients with MS at the Third People’s Hospital of Henan Province between January 2022 and December 2023 were retrospectively reviewed. The MS cohort was randomly divided into separate training and validation sets. A nomogram was constructed using a multivariate logistic regression model based on data from the training set. The model’s performance was validated through cross-validation, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, calibration curve analysis and decision curve analysis (DCA).Results: A total of five predictors, including red blood cell distribution width (RDW), hemoglobin (HGB), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), the lymphocyte-to-monocyte ratio (LMR), and the systemic immune‐inflammation index (SII), were identified using multivariate logistic regression from a total of 11 variables. The cross-validation results indicated the stability of the model constructed with the above five predictors. The model showed moderate predictive ability, with an area under the ROC curve of 0.767 in the training set and 0.735 in the validation set. The calibration curve and DCA results indicate that the model has strong consistency and significant potential for clinical application.Conclusion: We constructed a nomogram based on five risk predictors, RDW, HGB, HDL-C, the LMR and the SII, to predict MS and enhance the predictive accuracy for identifying MS risk.Keywords: Meige syndrome, inflammatory marker, nomogram, LMR, SII

Abstract: I-mode is a natural ELMy-free regime with H-mode like improved energy confnement and L-mode like particle confnement, making it an attractive scenario for future tokamak based fusion reactors. A kind of low frequency oscillation was widely found and appeared to be unique in I-mode, with the frequency between stationary zonal flow and geodesic-acoustic mode (GAM) zonal flow. In EAST, 90 percent I-mode shots have such mode, called edge temperature ring oscillation (ETRO). The mode probably plays an important role during I-mode development and sustainment, while investigations are needed to clarify the differences between ETRO and the similar mode named as low frequency edge oscillation (LFEO) in AUG and C-Mod, especially whether it is still GAM. In the paper, the ETRO characteristics in EAST were investigated in detail and most do not agree with GAM, including that 1) during L-I transition with edge Te and Ti both increasing, ETRO has a smaller frequency than GAM; 2) ETRO has distinct harmonics in various diagnostics; 3) The magnetic component of ETRO is dominated by m = 1 structure; 4) ETRO is accompanied by turbulence transition between electron-scale and ion-scale; 5) As I-mode approaching to H-mode, ETRO frequency would decrease rapidly with Te increasing. These features imply that ETRO is probably caused by the stationary zonal flow with fnite frequency. Moreover, other damping mechanisms need to be involved besides collision in the Imode edge region. It was found that modest fueling could decrease the ETRO intensity with the I-mode confnement sustaining, suggesting that supersonic molecular beam injection (SMBI) could be used as an effective tool to control ETRO., Comment: 23 pages, 16 figures

Abstract: We present the first catalog of very-high energy and ultra-high energy gamma-ray sources detected by the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). The catalog was compiled using 508 days of data collected by the Water Cherenkov Detector Array (WCDA) from March 2021 to September 2022 and 933 days of data recorded by the Kilometer Squared Array (KM2A) from January 2020 to September 2022. This catalog represents the main result from the most sensitive large coverage gamma-ray survey of the sky above 1 TeV, covering declination from $-$20$^{\circ}$ to 80$^{\circ}$. In total, the catalog contains 90 sources with an extended size smaller than $2^\circ$ and a significance of detection at $> 5\sigma$. Based on our source association criteria, 32 new TeV sources are proposed in this study. Among the 90 sources, 43 sources are detected with ultra-high energy ($E > 100$ TeV) emission at $> 4\sigma$ significance level. Abstract: The diffuse Galactic $\gamma$-ray emission, mainly produced via interactions between cosmic rays and the interstellar medium and/or radiation field, is a very important probe of the distribution, propagation, and interaction of cosmic rays in the Milky Way. In this work we report the measurements of diffuse $\gamma$-rays from the Galactic plane between 10 TeV and 1 PeV energies, with the square kilometer array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory (LHAASO). Diffuse emissions from the inner ($15^{\circ}10$~TeV). The energy spectrum in the inner Galaxy regions can be described by a power-law function with an index of $-2.99\pm0.04$, which is different from the curved spectrum as expected from hadronic interactions between locally measured cosmic rays and the line-of-sight integrated gas content. Furthermore, the measured flux is higher by a factor of $\sim3$ than the prediction. A similar spectrum with an index of $-2.99\pm0.07$ is found in the outer Galaxy region, and the absolute flux for $10\lesssim E\lesssim60$ TeV is again higher than the prediction for hadronic cosmic ray interactions. The latitude distributions of the diffuse emission are consistent with the gas distribution, while the longitude distributions show clear deviation from the gas distribution. Abstract: The long range electronic modulations recently discovered in the geometrically frustrated kagome lattice have opened new avenues to explore the effect of correlations in materials with topological electron flat bands. The observation of the lattice response to the emergent new phases of matter, a soft phonon mode, has remained elusive and the microscopic origin of charge density waves (CDWs) is still unknown. Here, we show, for the first time, a complete melting of the ScV$_ 6$Sn$_ 6$ (166) kagome lattice. The low energy phonon with propagation vector $\frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{2}$ collapses at 98 K, without the emergence of long-range charge order, which sets in with a propagation vector $\frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{3}$. The CDW is driven (but locks at a different vector) by the softening of an overdamped phonon flat plane at k$_z$=$\pi$. We observe broad phonon anomalies in momentum space, pointing to (1) the existence of approximately flat phonon bands which gain some dispersion due to electron renormalization, and (2) the effects of the momentum dependent electron-phonon interaction in the CDW formation. Ab initio and analytical calculations corroborate the experimental findings to indicate that the weak leading order phonon instability is located at the wave vector $\frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{3} \frac{1}{2}$ of a rather flat collapsed mode. We analytically compute the phonon frequency renormalization from high temperatures to the soft mode, and relate it to a peak in the orbital-resolved susceptibility, obtaining an excellent match with both ab initio and experimental results, and explaining the origin of the approximately flat phonon dispersion. Our data report the first example of the collapse of a softening of a flat phonon plane and promote the 166 compounds of the kagome family as primary candidates to explore correlated flat phonon-topological flat electron physics., Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures

45. Sensitive detection of millimeter wave electric field by driving trapped surface-state electrons

Abstract: Sensitive detection of electromagnetic wave electric field plays an important role for electromagnetic communication and sensing. Here, we propose a quantum sensor to sensitively detect the electric field of the millimeter (mm) wave. The quantum sensor consists of many surface-state electrons trapped individually on liquid helium by a scalable electrode-network at the bottom of the helium film. On such a chip, each of the trapped electrons can be manipulated by the biased dc-current to deliver the strong spin-orbit couplings. The mm wave signal to be detected is applied to non-dispersively drive the orbital states of the trapped electrons, just resulting in the Stark shifts of the dressed spin-orbital states. As a consequence, the electric field of the applied mm wave could be detected sensitively by using the spin-echo interferometry of the long-lived spin states of the electrons trapped on liquid helium. The reasonable accuracy of the detection and also the feasibility of the proposal are discussed., Comment: 8 pages

Abstract: The Super $\tau$-Charm facility (STCF) is an electron-positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of $0.5\times 10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that by the present $\tau$-Charm factory -- the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. 47. Robust phase metrology with hybrid quantum interferometers against particle losses

Abstract: Entanglement is an important quantum resource to achieve high sensitive quantum metrology. However, the rapid decoherence of quantum entangled states, due to the unavoidable environment noise, result in practically the unwanted sharp drop of the measurement sensitivity. To overcome such a difficulty, here we propose a spin-oscillator hybrid quantum interferometer to achieve the desirable precise estimation of the parameter encoded in the vibrations of the oscillator. Differing from the conventional two-mode quantum interferometers input by the two-mode NOON state or entangled coherent states (ECS), whose achievable sensitivities are strongly limited by the decoherence of the entangled vibrational states, we demonstrate that the present interferometer, input by a spin-dependent two-mode entangled state, possesses a manifest advantage, i.e., the measurement sensitivity of the estimated parameter is not influenced by the decoherence from the spin-oscillator entanglement. This is because that, by applying a spin-oscillator disentangled operation, the information of the estimated parameter encoded originally in the vibrational degrees can be effectively transferred into the spin degree and then can be sensitively estimated by the precise spin-state population measurements. As consequence, the proposed hybrid quantum interferometer possesses a manifest robustness against the particle losses of the vibrational modes. Interestingly, the achieved phase measurement sensitivity can still surpass the SQL obviously, even if relatively large number of particle loss occurs in one of the two modes. The potential application of the proposed spin-oscillator hybrid quantum interferometer is also discussed.

48. Commensurate-to-incommensurate transition of charge-density-wave order and a possible quantum critical point in pressurized kagome metal CsV$_3$Sb$_5$

Abstract: Clarifying the interplay between charge density waves (CDWs) and superconductivity is important in the kagome metal CsV$_3$Sb$_5$, and pressure ($P$) can play a crucial role. Here, we present $^{121/123}$Sb nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) measurements under hydrostatic pressures up to 2.43 GPa in CsV$_3$Sb$_5$ single crystals. We demonstrate that the CDW gradually changes from a commensurate modulation with a star-of-David (SoD) pattern to an incommensurate one with a superimposed SoD and Tri-hexagonal (TrH) pattern stacking along the $c$-axis. Moreover, the linewidth $\delta\nu$ of $^{121/123}$Sb-NQR spectra increases with cooling down to $T_{\rm CDW}$, indicating the appearance of a short-range CDW order due to CDW fluctuations pinned by quenched disorders. The $\delta\nu$ shows a Curie-Weiss temperature dependence and tends to diverge at $P_{\rm c} \sim$ 1.9 GPa, suggesting that a CDW quantum critical point (QCP) exists at $P_{\rm c}$ where $T_{\rm c}$ shows the maximum. For $P > P_{\rm c}$, spin fluctuations are enhanced when the CDW is suppressed. Our results suggest that the maximal $T_{\rm c}$ at $P_{\rm c} \sim$ 1.9 GPa is related to the CDW QCP and the presence of spin fluctuations prevent the $T_{\rm c}$ from a rapid decrease otherwise after the CDW is completely suppressed., Comment: 17 pages, 8 figures

49. Shielding effect of moving SiC ceramic fragments on jets.

Abstract: Silicon carbide (SiC) is a promising candidate material as a component in lightweight and high-performance protective systems. However, its performance subjected to high-speed ejecta remains unclear. To this end, MD (molecular dynamics) simulations were utilized to investigate the jets induced damage and fragmentation of SiC ceramic. The effect of moving speed of SiC as a target and fragment size on the overall impact resistance were revealed. Then, we developed a damage efficiency criterion for the dispersion effect of the target on the jet and assessed the damage effectiveness at various target moving speeds. It is found that the moving speed of the fractured target significantly affects the effectiveness of resistance to ejecta. An optimized strategy to achieve better resistance to jets was proposed accordingly. Our work provides new insights into the damage and fragmentation of SiC and would benefit for the design of the protection system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
