Orientador: Mary Anne Heidi Dolder Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Biologia Resumo: o estudo do conjunto de características estruturais, ultra-estruturais e citoquímicas das fases iniciais da espermatogênese, assim como das células presentes nos canais condutores de esperma durante um ciclo reprodutivo podem contribuir de forma significativa para o entendimento da morfologia e fisiologia da reprodução, do processo de maturação dos espermatozóides e de aspectos comportamentais e ecológicos de populações de lagartos. Com o objetivo de contribuir para essas diferentes áreas do conhecimento, o presente trabalho traz novos dados do lagarto Tropidurus itambere, sobre o ciclo reprodutivo testicular e epididimário, a espermatogênese, diferenciação das espermátides e dos espermatozóides analisados com o uso de técnicas de citoquímica estrutural e ultra-estrutural e com o uso de imunocitoquímica ultra-estrutural. Além disso, espermatozóides testiculares e espermatozóides presentes no receptáculo seminal de remeas foram observados com a utilização de lectinas, para localização de açúcares específicos. Também são caracterizados os aspectos morfológicos e histoquímicos (localização de glicoproteínas, polissacarídeos, glicosaminoglicanos ácidos) dos canais condutores de esperma em machos e fêmeas. Esses dados foram obtidos para animais durante o ciclo reprodutivo anual, capturados num fragmento de Mata Atlântica do estado de São Paulo. O ciclo reprodutivo é anual, com breve período de descontinuidade, dados muito semelhantes aos estabelecidos em outros trabalhos prévios de ecologia. A espermatogênese é mostrada pela primeira vez em lagartos desde suas fases iniciais da diferenciação celular. Algumas variações puderam ser notadas quanto à ultra-estrutura do espermatozóide deste lagarto Tropidurídeo e outros das famílias Iguanidae e Agamidae, reforçando a revisão sistemática proposta recentemente. O oviduto é constituído por três regiões distintas, das quais a mais distal é responsável pela estocagem dos espermatozóides por um curto período do ciclo anual. Foram detectados em eventos da espermatogênese, durante o ciclo anual proteínas básicas (principalmente no cone subacrosomal, centríolos da peça intermediária, corpos densos, proteínas periféricas do axonema e bainha fibrosa do flagelo), polissacarídeos (célula de Sertoli e sua organização durante os picos do ciclo reprodutivo, e na formação do complexo acrosomal), glicogênio (formação do complexo acrosomal), fosfatase ácida (em regiões claras do complexo acrosomal e em volta de espermatozóides em degeneração no período quiescente) e lipídeos (na vesícula pró-acrosomal e em vesículas espalhadas no citoplasma da célula de Leydig), áçucares específicos (durante a formação do complexo acrosomal em espermátides e em quase todas as estruturas do espermatozóide). Taís dados inexistiam para o grupo de Lacertílio_ e guardam algumas semelhanças, principalmente quanto à formação do acrosomo, com alguns anuros e aves. Foi detectada através de imunocitoquímica a presença de actina no cone subacrosomal e perforatório do complexo acrosomal, o que confirma a homologia destas organelas quanto à estrutura e função no espermatozóide de lagartos Abstract: The study of the structural, ultrastructural and cytochemical characteristics of the initial phases of spermatogenesis was undertaken, also including the cells present in the sperm throughout the reproductive cycle. This data brings significant contributions toward a better understanding of the morphology and physiology of reproduction, of the maturation process of the spermatozoa and the behavior and ecology of lizard populations. With this objective, this study brings new data on the lizard, Tropidurus itambere, its testicular and epididymal characteristics during the reproductive cycle, its spermatogenesis showing the differentiation of spermatid and spermatozoon structure and ultrastructure, as analyzed by cytochemical techniques and with ultrastructural immunocytochemistry. A comparison of testicular spermatozoa and those found in the female's seminal receptical was made using lectins to locate specific sugars. Morphological and histochemical methods located glycoproteins, polisaccharides, acid glycosaminoglycans in the sperm ducts of males and females. This data was studied throughout the reproductive cycle of animals obtained from a fragment of the Atlantic forest in the state of São Paulo. The cycle is annual with a brief descontinuous period, as previously very similar of the established by ecological studies. Spermatogenesis is shown for the first time in a lizard, including the first stages of cell differentiation. Some variations were observed for the spermatozoon of this Tropiduridae lizard in relation to the Iguanidae and Agamidae, which reinforces recent revision of their systematic positions. The oviduct is divided into three portions, the most distal one being responsible for spermatozoon storage during a short period in the annual cycle. Basic proteins were detected in specific structures during the annual cycle (especially the subacrosomic cone, centrioles in the midpiece, dense bodies, peripheral proteins of the axoneme and fibrous sheath of the flagellum). Polisacchaddes were found in the Sertoli cell, showing peak organization of this cell during the reproductive period and its disorganization in quiescence, as well as occurring during acrosomal complex formation, while glycogen was identified only in the acrosomal complex.. Acid phosphatase was verified in the clear regions of the acrosomal complex and surrounding the degenerating sperm cells of the quiescent period. Lipids are plentiful in the Leydig cells of this period and in the pro acrosomic vesicle. Specific sugars were verified during the acrosomic complex formation in spermatids and mark almost all structures in the spermatozoon. This data is new among lizards and can be compared with anurans and birds, especially for acrosome formation. Esta dissertação se propõe a investigar qual o papel do continuísta no cinema contemporâneo. Tendo o sistema de continuidade surgido junto com as bases que sedimentaram o paradigma do cinema clássico, de que maneira essas normas ainda podem ser observadas nos filmes realizados nos dias de hoje? Suas diretrizes estariam fadadas ao desaparecimento? Nossa hipótese é a de que, ao lado de todas as transformações que acompanharam o desenvolvimento da linguagem cinematográfica ao longo dos anos, o papel do continuísta também tenha passado por transformações. Assim, sua função não mais se restringiria a garantir que determinadas normas clássicas de linguagem sejam cumpridas para que a montagem do filme flua de maneira “invisível”, mas sim, assegurar coerência e coesão à obra, independente da opção estética-narrativa do realizador. No intuito de responder a nossas indagações, fazemos um breve percurso pela história do cinema, buscando mostrar como se deu o surgimento do sistema de continuidade, bem como as obras e ciclos que se propuseram a romper com esses padrões ao longo desta trajetória. Em seguida, nos dedicamos a esmiuçar quais as atribuições de um continuísta nos dias de hoje. Por último, analisamos o trabalho de dois realizadores pernambucanos que possuem diferentes visões a respeito do papel da continuidade em sua obra: Hilton Lacerda e Marcelo Gomes. This dissertation aims to investigate the role of the script supervisor in contemporary cinema. Since the continuity system emerged along with the foundations that solidified the classic cinema paradigm, how can these norms still be observed in today's films? Would these guidelines be doomed to disappear? Our hypothesis is that, alongside all the transformations that have accompanied the development of film language over the years, the script supervisor´s role has also undergone transformations. Thus, his or her function would no longer be restricted to ensuring that certain classical norms of language are fulfilled in a way that the montage of a film flows in an “invisible” manner, but to ensure coherence and cohesion to the work, regardless of the filmmaker’s aesthetic-narrative option. In order to answer our questions, we make a brief journey through the history of cinema, attempting to show how the continuity system emerged also observing how works and cycles were proposed to break with various patterns along this trajectory. Then, we scrutinize the attributions of a script supervisor nowadays. Finally, we analyse the work of two Pernambucan directors who have different views on the role of continuity in their work: Hilton Lacerda and Marcelo Gomes.

The pampas cat Leopardus colocolo (Molina, 1782) is a species of the Felidae family, widely distributed in South America, included on CITES Appendix II and classified as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List, with population trend decreasing. Based on this information, the objective of this study is to describe morphologically the testes and epididymal ducts of pampas cat. The animal, coming from the Federal University of Mato Grosso Zoo, Brazil, had died after anesthesia procedure and the male reproductive system was dissected to collect the testicles. The samples taken were fragmented and histologically examined. From the microscopic analysis of the testes were identified: vaginal and tunica albuginea, formed by dense connective tissue modeled with large amount of collagen fibers. The tunica albuginea fibrous septa emits into the body. The seminiferous tubules are coiled and coated internally by spermatogenic epithelium consisting of Sertoli cells, surrounded by a basement membrane in the presence of myoid cells. The interstitial tissue between the seminiferous tubules, is composed of loose connective tissue, blood and lymph vessels, and Leydig cells in polyhedral shape. The epididymal ducts showed pseudostratified columnar epithelium with secretory cells of which stereocilia design, situated on a basement membrane filled by myoid cells. This epithelium has principal and basal cells, the main cell design stereocilia toward the lumen of the epididymal duct. RESUMO: O gato-palheiro Leopardus colocolo (Molina, 1782) é uma espécie da família Felidae, com ampla distribuição na América do Sul. Está incluido no Appendix II da CITES e classificada como Próxima da Extinção na Lista Vermelha da IUCN, apresentando população em decrescimo. Com base nessas informações o objetivo deste estudo é caracterizar morfologicamente os testículos e ductos epididimários de L. colocolo. O animal, oriundo do Zoológico da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, Brasil, veio a óbito após procedimento anestésico e o sistema reprodutor masculino foi dissecado para coleta dos testículos. As amostras retiradas foram fragmentadas e histologicamente examinadas. A partir das análises microscópicas dos testículos foram identificados: a túnica vaginal e albugínea, formada por tecido conjuntivo denso modelado, com grande quantidade de fibras de colágeno. A túnica albugínea emite septos fibrosos para o interior do órgão. Os túbulos seminíferos são enovelados e revestidos internamente por epitélio estratificado constituído por células espermatogênicas e células somáticas de Sertoli, envolvidos por uma membrana basal com presença de células mioides. O tecido intersticial, entre os túbulos seminíferos, é constituído de tecido conjuntivo do tipo frouxo com vasos sanguíneos e linfáticos, e células de Leydig em formato poliédrico. Os ductos epididimários apresentaram epitélio cilíndrico pseudoestratificado com células secretoras dos quais projetam estereocílios, situados sobre uma membrana basal repleta por células mióides. Este epitélio apresenta células principais e basais, cujas células principais projetam estereocílios em direção ao lúmen do ducto epididimário.

These differences may be connected to seasonal climate changes and/or to anthropic activity. Forty adult male individuals of the Dendropsophus minutus species were collected during one year, in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimarães (Mato Grosso, Brazil). The testicles were studied under light and transmission electron microscopy. No variations were observed when the diameter of the seminiferous tubules and the thickness of the interstitial tissue were studied. However, changes in spermatogenesis were conspicuous and indicated that the reproductive cycle of D. minutus in Chapada dos Guimarães is discontinuous and seems related to variations in air temperature and rainfall. Reproductive strategy is the set of adaptations that promote the most efficient way that the species will survive under the particular conditions of a determined environment. Understanding these adaptations is important and can help pinpoint populations indicator of environmental changes. Spermatogenesis is a measurable biological process of these adaptations in spatial and temporal scales. We analyzed the morphology of the testes and oviducts of the lizard species that comprise the genus Tropidurus, taking into account the geographical distribution and sympatric relations. For the analysis and the testes were removed from the middle part of the oviducts from Tropidurus etheridge, T. oreadicus, T. itambere, T. spinulosus and T. Guarani species, collected in different places in the Mato Grosso state, Brazil. The reproductive period is synchronous for males and females and occurs in September, October and November. Reproductive males were characterized. In the testes are seminiferous tubules with germ cells at different stages of spermatogenesis, with a high epithelium, at present light, free spermatozoa in the lumen and reduction of interstitial tissue. For females, the reproduction peak occurs when the oviduct epithelium is high with secretions and basal nucleus. These months are characterized in the sampled areas over a period of heavy rain and high temperatures. The decline of reproductive period was observed in both sexes, between April and August. Low reproduction in males is characterized by ample light, absence of sperm, only germ cells in the early stages of spermatogenesis are observed (a few spermatogonia and spermatocytes) and interstitial tissue wide. In females, the period of reproductive decline is marked by the absence of unicellular glands in the oviduct epithelium, with higher affinity with the dye. This period corresponds to low rainfall periods and lower temperatures. We propose an analysis of zoological samples; this is a proposal to facilitate the work of many researchers through access to the species, especially rare species. Estrategia reproductiva es el conjunto de adaptaciones que promueven la manera más eficiente para una población a sobrevivir en las condiciones específicas de un entorno particular. Comprender esta adaptación es importante y puede identificarse en algunas poblaciones como indicador de cambios ambientales. La espermatogénesis puede ser un proceso biológico medible de estas adaptaciones en escalas espaciales y temporales. Se analizó la morfología de los testículos y oviductos de las especies de lagartijas que componen el género Tropidurus, teniendo en cuenta la amplia distribución geográfica y las relaciones simpátricas. Para el análisis hemos eliminado los testículos de los machos y la parte media de los oviductos de hembras de las especiesTropidurus Etheridge, T. oreadicus, T. itambere, T. spinulosus y T. Guarani recolectadas en diferentes lugares en el estado de Mato Grosso, Brasil. El período reproductivo es sincrónico para machos y hembras, y se produce durante septiembre, octubre y noviembre. Se caracterizaron como machos reproductores por testículos con túbulos seminíferos con células germinales en distintas etapas de la espermatogénesis, un epitelio muy alto, un lumen reducido, numerosos espermatozoides libres en el lumen y tejido intersticial redicudo. En hembras el pico reproductivo se produce cuando los canales de conducción de gametos poseen un epitelio alto, secretor y con núcleos basales. Estos meses son caracterizados en las zonas muestreadas por fuertes lluvias y altas temperaturas. La disminución del período reproductivo se observó en ambos sexos, entre abril y agosto. La baja reproducción en machos se caracteriza por un lumen ancho, ausencia de espermatozoides, presencia de células germinales sólo en las primeras etapas de la espermatogénesis (espermatogonias y pocos espermatocitos) y tejido intersticial amplio. En las mujeres, el período de baja reproducción está marcado por la ausencia de glándulas unicelulares en el epitelio del oviducto, con mayor afinidad a la tinción. Este período corresponde al de baja precipitaciones y temperaturas más bajas. Proponemos un análisis de muestras de las colecciones zoológicas ya que esta es una propuesta para facilitar el trabajo de muchos investigadores a través del acceso a las especies, especialmente especies raras.

The objective of this work was to make a comparative analysis of germ cell organization at different stages of cellular differentiation in adult males of Dendropsophus nanus (Boulenger, 1889), Pseudis limellum (Cope, 1862), P. paradoxa (Linnaeus, 1758), and Scinax acuminatus (Cope, 1862), belonging to the family Hylidae; and Leptodactylus chaquensis (Cei, 1950) and L. podicipinus (Cope, 1862), belonging to the family Leptodactylidae, collected in the Pantanal and in Serra da Bodoquena, Mato Grosso do Sul State, Brazil. The testes were removed and fixed, dehydrated in a graded series of ethanol, and embedded in methacrylate glycol resin (Historesin Leica®). The sections were stained by 1% toluidine blue and observed under light microscope. It was detected that all individual of the Hylidae family show, throughout the year, the presence of all germ cell types of spermatogenesis. However, all Leptodactylidae family individuals only show the presence of all germ cell types during the rainy season. The variations of characteristics in seminiferous epithelium organization, as well as the evident difference in the amount of spermatozoa inside the tubules, are evidence that the anurans in this work show different forms of spermatogenesis development throughout the year: the cycle is continuous for the Hylidae family, and discontinuous with explosive release of spermatozoa for the Leptodactylidae family O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar e comparar a organização das células germinativas em diferentes estádios de diferenciação celular nos machos adultos de Dendropsophus nanus (Boulenger, 1889), Pseudis limellum (Cope, 1862), Pseudis paradoxa (Linnaeus, 1758) e Scinax acuminatus (Cope, 1862), pertencentes à família Hylidae, e de Leptodactylus chaquensis (Cei, 1950) e L. podicipinus (Cope, 1862), pertencentes à família Leptodactylidae, coletados no Pantanal e na serra da Bodoquena, no Estado do Mato Grosso do Sul, Brasil. Os testículos foram retirados, fixados, desidratados em uma série alcoólica e incluídos em resina plástica do tipo methacrilato glicol (Historesin Leica®); cortados a 3 µm, corados com azul de toluidina 1% e observados no microscópio de luz. Constatou-se que os indivíduos da família Hylidae apresentam, em todas as épocas do ano, presença de todas as células de linhagem germinativa da espermatogênese. Já os indivíduos da família Leptodactylidae apresentam todas as células da linhagem germinativa somente no período chuvoso. As variações das características na organização dos epitélios seminíferos, assim como da evidente diferença na quantidade de espermatozoides no interior dos túbulos, demonstram que os anuros estudados apresentam diferentes formas de desenvolvimento da espermatogênese ao longo do ano: de forma cíclica para os da família Hylidae e acíclica, com liberação explosiva de espermatozoides, para os da família Leptodactylidae

Orientadores: Mary Anne Heidi Dolder, Adelina Aparecida Francisca Ferreira Tese (doutorado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Biologia Resumo: O gênero Tropidurus compreende atualmente 30 espécies de lagartos ovíparos que ocorrem na América do Sul cis-Andina, apresentando variações no ciclo reprodutivo categorizados como contínuo, sazonal e descontínuo. Considerando essas variações reprodutivas, o objetivo foi avaliar a aptidão reprodutiva de quatro espécies de Tropidurus do grupo torquatus com ampla distribuição geográfica e elevada representatividade nas coleções zoológicas do Brasil. Um total de 276 indivíduos machos divididos em 65 populações e 201 fêmeas com 43 populações das espécies Tropidurus torquatus, T. hispidus, T. itambere e T. oreadicus foram analisadas. Amostras de testículo, ducto epididimal e ovário foram incluídas em resina plástica e preparadas para análise em microscopia de luz. Os parâmetros da aptidão reprodutiva incluíram o comprimento na maturidade sexual, tamanho de ninhada, presença ou ausência de espermatozoides, ovos e folículos. Nos machos, as células germinativas foram morfologicamente semelhantes, porém a produção de espermatozoides variou ao longo do tempo com maior continuidade para as espécies T. torquatus e T. hispidus, e sazonal para T. itambere e T. oreadicus. O ducto epididimal apresentou hipertrofia do epitélio e atividade secretora relacionadas com a espermiação e regressão nos túbulos seminíferos. O comprimento na maturidade sexual variou no seu tamanho mínimo entre as populações e biomas. Nas fêmeas, o ovário apresentou apenas uma cama germinativa com oogônias e oócitos primários associados ao estroma. O desenvolvimento folicular foi bastante conservado no aspecto morfoestrutural, com duas fases: uma pré-vitelogênica e outra vitelogênica. Durante a maturação folicular foi observado maior duração da conecção entre a ponte intercelular e o oocito na vitelogênese, além de uma organização distinta do alvéolo cortical nas quatros espécies de Tropidurus. A atresia, folículos pós-ovulatórios e corpo lúteo, foram detalhadas também pela primeira vez para as espécies Tropidurus torquatus, T. itambere e T. oreadicus. A aptidão reprodutiva foi sazonal para T. hispidus e T. itambere, porém mais extensa para T. torquatus e T. oreadicus, com a duração de oito meses. O número de cama germinativa, ocorrência de corpo lúteo e atresia sugerem controle intríseco de cada uma dessas espécies no tamanho de ninhada e folículos viáveis para reprodução Abstract: The Tropidurus genus currently comprises 30 oviparous lizards that occupy South American cis-Andina continent, presenting variations in the reproductive cycle characterized as continuous, seasonal and non-continuos. Considering the reproductive variations, the aim was to evaluate the reproductive aptitude of four Tropidurus species of torquatus group, with wide distribution and high representative specimens in the zoological collections in Brazil. A total of 276 male individuals in 65 populations and 201 females in 43 populations of the species: Tropidurus torquatus, T. hispidus, T. itambere and T. oreadicus were evaluated. Samples of testicular, epididymal duct and ovary were included in plastic resin and prepared for analysis under light microscopy. Reproductive aptitude parameters included the minimum size at sexual maturity, clutch size, presence or absence of free spermatozoa, eggs and mature follicles. Males presented conserved germinative cells in morphology, however the spermatozoa production varied in time with continuity for T. torquatus and T. hispidus and seasonal for T. itambere and T. oreadicus. The epididymal duct showed epithelial hypertrophy and secretory activity related to the spermiation and regression in the seminiferous tubules. Sexual maturity varied in the minumum size among populations and biomes. Females presented the ovary with one germinative bed with oogonia and primary oocytes associated with stroma. Follicular development was conserved in morphostructural aspects, with two phases: previtellogenic and vitellogenic phases. During follicular maturation was observed longer duration of the connection between the intercellular bridge and the oocytes in vitellogenesis, besides a distinct organization of the cortical alveoli in four Tropidurus species. The atresia, post-ovulatory follicles and corpus luteum, were also detailed for the first time for Tropidurus torquatus, T. itambere and T. oreadicus. The reproductive aptitude was seasonal for T. hispidus and T. itambere, but extended for T. torquatus and T. oreadicus, with a duration of eighteen months. Orientador: Adelina Aparecida Francisca Ferreira Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Biologia Resumo: A contagem de células germinativas, para machos e fêmeas, é uma forma de análise bastante eficiente para determinar períodos favoráveis à reprodução. No intuito de descobrir sobre as possíveis variações na produção de gametas de uma população de Rhinella schneideri (Anura, Bufonidae) em uma área urbana do município de Cuiabá, MT, Brasil, fizemos a caracterização das células germinativas e as contamos mensalmente em dois períodos (2007/2008 e 2012/2013). Machos exibem seis categorias de células germinativas, sendo elas espermatogônias primárias e secundárias, espermatócitos primários e secundários, espermátides e espermatozóides. Fêmeas exibem cinco, sendo ovogônias, ovócitos pré-vitelogênicos, vitelogênicos, maduros e complexos pós-ovulatórios. A quantificação celular mostrou diferença no período de maior produtividade gamética entre ambos períodos analisados para ambos os sexos. Para machos todas as categorias de células germinativas foram vistas em todos os períodos, em 2007/2008, o período de maior produtividade gamética corresponde ao período chuvoso, já em 2012/2013 a produção de gametas em agosto foi alta, mas com a chegada do período chuvoso diminuiu, se contrapondo ao encontrado em 2007/2008. Visualizamos, apenas no segundo período, presença de ovócitos pré-vitelogênicos no interior dos túbulos seminíferos de poucos indivíduos da população. Em 2007/2008, as fêmeas apresentaram gônadas em três diferentes estágios de maturação: ovário em período de aptidão reprodutiva, o qual vai de outubro a dezembro de 2007, período de recuperação e crescimento do ovário, o qual vai de janeiro a maio de 2008 e período de repouso, o qual vai de junho a agosto de 2008. Em 2012/2013 elas apresentaram gônadas em dois diferentes estágios de maturação: fase ovário em desenvolvimento a qual ocorre de fevereiro a junho de 2013 e fase de aptidão á reprodução, na qual o ovário tem abundância de ovócitos maduros e complexos pós-ovulatório observada de agosto de 2012 a janeiro de 2013. A dinâmica gametogênica para ambos sexos difere na mesma população em momentos distintos e pode estar relacionada às ações antrópicas. Isso é um fato comum a outras espécies de anuros e pode estar relacionado à localização geográfica da população Abstract: The germ cell count, in both males and females, apparently, is a very efficient form of analysis to determine favorable reproductive periods. In order to discern possible variations in gamete production of a population of Rhinella schneideri (Anura, Bufonidae) in an urban area of Cuiabá, MT, Brazil, we characterized the germ cells and counted their production for two nonconsecutive years (2007 / 2008 and 2012/2013). Males exhibit six categories of germ cells, including primary and secondary spermatogonia, primary and secondary spermatocytes, spermatids and spermatozoa. Females exhibit five, which are oogonia, pre-vitellogenic oocytes, vitellogenic, mature and atresic oocytes. Furthermore, we described the morphology of the seminiferous tubules demonstrating the presence or absence of cell types for the two periods. Cell quantification showed the difference in the period of greatest gametic productivity between the two periods analyzed for both sexes. For males all categories of germ cells were found in all periods, in 2007/2008, the period of greatest gametic productivity corresponds to the rainy season, a fact shown by the greater amount of spermatid differentiation, in 2012/2013, the production of gametes was high in August, subsided arrival of the rainy season, in contrast to the data found in 2007/2008. Furthermore, we visualized, during the second period, the presence of pre-vitellogenic oocytes inside the seminiferous tubules of a few individuals of the population. Females in 2007/2008 showed gonads in three different maturation stages: ovary in reproductive aptitude, which occurs from October to December 2007, recovery period and ovarian growth, which occurs from January to May 2008 and finally a resting period, which occurs from June to August 2008. In 2012/2013 they had gonads in two different stages of maturation: ovarian resting which occurred from February to June 2013, and the reproductive aptitude phase, in which the ovary has plenty of mature oocytes and atresia, and recovery occurring simultaneously, was observed from August 2012 to January 2013. The dynamics of spermatogenesis in R. schneideri, for both sexes, differs in the same population when viewed at different times and may be related to human activities.
