In the present study, the genomes of B. subtilis EM-A7 and B. velezensis EM-A8 were sequenced and annotated. The Illumina sequencing platform (NovaSeq PE150) was used to sequence the genomic DNA. There were 6 277 054 raw reads for EM-A7, with a Q20 of 97.52 % and 43.78 % GC, and 8 030 262 raw reads for EM-A8, with a Q20 of 97.53 % and 46.21 % GC. Annotation was carried out by the NCBI Prokaryotic Genome Annotation Pipeline (PGAP). The strains were classified taxonomically on the basis of an average nucleotide identity analysis (ANI), as well as through a dDDh analysis on the Genome-to-Genome Distance Calculator (GGDC v3.0). The pipeline predicted 4062 protein-coding sequences (CDSs) and 73 RNA genes (62 tRNA and 6 rRNA) for EM-A7, and 3797 protein-coding sequences (CDSs) and 80 RNA genes for EM-A8. These findings enhance our understanding of the two strains’ potential as biocontrol agents to manage disease in maize.

Mental health among high school (SMA) students is an important issue that needs attention. This research aims to develop a mental health scale for high school students, which is expected to be able to detect whether students have mental problems or not, so that students with problems can get fast and appropriate help. Apart from that, this scale is also expected to be able to see the extent to which students' mental development is good. This scale was developed based on three dimensions of mental health, namely peace with oneself, social interaction function, and basic and advanced psychological needs. The research method employed in this study is the quantitative method. Meanwhile the participants involved in this research were 1045 high school students consisting of students in grades 10-12. The analysis technique uses item-total correlation and exploratory factor analysis. The result was that 25 items had satisfactory item-total correlations with values ranging from 0.307 to 0.677. The results of the exploratory factor analysis that has been carried out are the formation of three dimensions with a different distribution of items from the initial design. Apart from that, this measuring tool also has a cumulative proportion of variance explained by factors of 0.434 and a model fit of CFI (0.910) and TLI (0.900). In the future, in-depth research is needed regarding the external validity of this mental health scale, which is correlated with other variables using convergent and discriminant validity methods. Abstrak Kesehatan mental pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) merupakan salah satu permasalahan penting yang perlu menjadi perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat ukur kesehatan mental bagi siswa SMA, yang diharapkan dapat mendeteksi apakah siswa memiliki permasalahan mental atau tidak, sehingga siswa yang bermasalah bisa mendapatkan pertolongan yang cepat dan tepat. Selain itu, alat ukur ini juga diharapkan dapat melihat sejauh mana mental siswa berkembang dengan baik. Skala ini dikembangkan berdasarkan tiga dimensi kesehatan mental yaitu berdamai dengan diri sendiri, fungsi interaksi sosial, serta kebutuhan psikologis dasar dan lanjut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitaif, sedangkan partisipan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 1045 siswa SMA terdiri dari siswa kelas 10-12. Teknis analisis menggunakan korelasi item-total dan analisis faktor eksploratori. Hasilnya 25 item memiliki korelasi item-total yang memuaskan dengan nilai antara 0.307 sampai 0.677. Hasil dari analisis faktor eksploratori yaitu terbentuknya tiga dimensi dengan sebaran item yang berbeda dari rancangan awal, selain itu alat ukur ini juga memiliki proporsi kumulatif varian yang dijelaskan oleh faktor sebesar 0.434 dan model fit CFI (0.910) dan TLI (0.900). Untuk selanjutnya, perlu penelitian mendalam mengenai validitas eksternal skala kesehatan mental ini yang dikorelasikan dengan variabel-variabel lain menggunakan metode validitas konvergen dan diskriminan. This article describes the findings of a study aimed at producing a set of cultural literacy-oriented critical reading teaching material. This material is developed as a countermeasure to the increasingly thin sensitivity of society, especially the students toward noble values of religion, custom, and culture. With this material student get a significant critical understanding of the discourse with the content of noble value of Indonesian culture. The understanding is attained by students through active reader strategy. There are four important principles developed in understanding the text through this strategy, namely 1) building basic understanding of the text, 2) conducting reading activities in chronological order of the text, 3) identifying the style and language of the text, and 4) critically deepening the understanding of the text. The emphasis on cultural critical understanding became the focus of this research. Thus, critical reading question technique 501 is required. With this technique student can predict causation, establish logical and emotive understanding, and predict the implications of ideas. The implementation of development of this teaching material is based on the stages of Design Based Research. Data is obtained through expert scales and trials to junior high school students in Bandung. The result of this research is a critical reading textbook based on cultural literacy with active reader strategy that is effective to be used for junior high school students. The implication of this research is the acquisition of students' sensitivity toward noble values of religion, custom, and culture that can be internalized in their lives.

We aimed to assess how biofilm formation by three Bacillus isolates was affected by changes in temperature, water potential, growth media, time, and the combinations between these factors. The strains had been selected as potential biological control agents (BCAs) in earlier studies, and they were identified as B. subtilis and B. velezensis spp. through 16 rRNA sequencing and MALDI-TOF MS. Maize leaves (ML) were used as one of the growth media, since they made it possible to simulate the nutrient content in the maize phyllosphere, from which the bacteria were originally isolated. The strains were able to form biofilm both in ML and biofilm-inducing MSgg after 24, 48, and 72 h. Biofilm development in the form of pellicles and architecturally complex colonies varied morphologically from one strain to another and depended on the conditions mentioned above. In all cases, colonies and pellicles were less complex when both temperature and water potential were lower. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed that changing levels of complexity in pellicles were correlated with those in colonies. Statistical analyses found that the quantification of biofilm produced by the isolates was influenced by all the conditions tested. In terms of motility (which may contribute to biofilm formation), swimming and swarming were possible for all strains in 0.3 and 0.7% agar, respectively. A more in-depth understanding of how abiotic factors influence biofilm formation can contribute to a more effective use of these biocontrol strains against pathogens in the maize phyllosphere.

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo el análisis de los resultados obtenidos de dos relevamientos llevados a cabo a la totalidad de estudiantes de los profesorados del Instituto de Formación Docente Continua San Luis y al cuerpo docente de la institución durante el año académico 2020 acerca del impacto de la virtualidad en sus procesos de aprendizaje y de enseñanza. El propósito de dichos relevamientos, realizados de forma virtual a fines del primer y del segundo cuatrimestre respectivamente, del año mencionado, fue por un lado obtener información concreta acerca de algunos aspectos contextuales, tecnológicos y pedagógicos del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje en la virtualidad para encontrar áreas de mejora e identificar fortalezas con el fin de optimizar las prácticas educativas. Por otro lado, a partir de los datos relevados se tomaron decisiones institucionales para re-organizar el segundo cuatrimestre, por lo que resultó necesario indagar sobre el impacto de dichas medidas en los procesos educativos llevados a cabo en el segundo cuatrimestre 2020, para luego evaluar alternativas de mejora para el año 2021. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, este estudio es de tipo exploratorio y se enmarca en una lógica mixta cuantitativa y cualitativa. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que tanto estudiantes como docentes fueron superando progresivamente las dificultades experimentadas durante la primera mitad del año a medida que se iban familiarizando con los entornos virtuales, los recursos digitales y las nuevas formas de comunicación mediadas por la virtualidad. Además, las medidas implementadas en el segundo cuatrimestre a partir de los datos recabados en el primer relevamiento tuvieron un impacto positivo en los procesos de enseñanza y en la propia valoración de los/las estudiantes acerca de su propio proceso de aprendizaje en un contexto de pandemia y aislamiento social.

Chapter 3 in High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) : PreliminaryDesign Report. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is one of the largest scientificinstruments ever built. Since opening up a new energy frontier for explorationin 2010, it has gathered a global user community of about 7,000 scientistsworking in fundamental particle physics and the physics of hadronic matter atextreme temperature and density. To sustain and extend its discovery potential,the LHC will need a major upgrade in the 2020s. This will increase itsluminosity (rate of collisions) by a factor of five beyond the original designvalue and the integrated luminosity (total collisions created) by a factor ten.The LHC is already a highly complex and exquisitely optimised machine so thisupgrade must be carefully conceived and will require about ten years toimplement. The new configuration, known as High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC), willrely on a number of key innovations that push accelerator technology beyond itspresent limits. Among these are cutting-edge 11-12 tesla superconductingmagnets, compact superconducting cavities for beam rotation with ultra-precisephase control, new technology and physical processes for beam collimation and300 metre-long high-power superconducting links with negligible energydissipation. The present document describes the technologies and componentsthat will be used to realise the project and is intended to serve as the basisfor the detailed engineering design of HL-LHC.

The target will be to reduce the beam size in the interaction points by a factor of two, which requires doubling the aperture of the low-β (or inner triplet) quadrupole magnets. The use of Nb3Sn superconducting material and, as a result, the possibility of operating at magnetic field levels in the windings higher than 11 T will limit the increase in length of these quadrupoles, called MQXF, to acceptable levels. After the initial design phase, where the key parameters were chosen and the magnet's conceptual design finalized, the MQXF project, a joint effort between the U.S. LHC Accelerator Research Program and the Conseil Europeén pour la Recherche Nucleaíre (CERN), has now entered the construction and test phase of the short models. Concurrently, the preparation for the development of the full-length prototypes has been initiated. This paper will provide an overview of the project status, describing and reporting on the performance of the superconducting material, the lessons learnt during the fabrication of superconducting coils and support structure, and the fine tuning of the magnet design in view of the start of the prototyping phase.

Perception of classroom environment and academic emotions have an important role in the educational context. Both have a relationship that can not be separated from each other. This study aims to examine the correlation between perception of classroom learning environment and academic emotions in junior high school students in the city of Bandung. Using the quasy experimental method with a quantitative approach with a correlational design with a sample of 81 respondents aged 12-14 years who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instruments in this study consisted of academic emotions questionnaire (AEQ) and my class inventory (MCI) that had been translated into Indonesian. Data analysis was performed using the Pearson product moment. The results showed a positive correlation between the dimensions of competitiveness with negative academic emotions and a negative correlation between the dimensions of satisfaction with negative academic emotions in junior high school students in the city of Bandung.

This study investigates the impact of utilizing the digital library Wikipedia on high school students' scientific literacy skills in biology. This research used a quasi-experiment design with a one-group pre-test and post-test method, conducted in a high school in Bandung, Indonesia. The participants consisted of 60 tenth-grade students. The research instrument consisted of 24 multiple-choice questions designed to assess nine scientific literacy indicators, including the ability to describe phenomena scientifically, design and evaluate scientific investigations, and interpret data and evidence scientifically. Each question was scored dichotomously, with the correct answer receiving a score of 1 and incorrect answers assigned a score of 0. Pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed using the Rasch model through Winsteps Version 3.73. Based on data analysis, the items fit with the Rasch model because the infit and outfit MNSQ is 1.0 and the residual item of unexplained variance is 2.3% to 9.8%. The reliability of the items shows an item value of 0.97, which is classified as excellent. The indicators considered the most difficult before being treated were identifying accurate scientific ideas, distinguishing between types of sources, and evaluating literature source validity after the treatment. There was a significant improvement in students' scientific literacy skills after utilizing the digital library, Wikipedia. The findings provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of integrating digital media into biology courses, highlighting the potential of Wikipedia as a digital reference source for enhancing students' scientific literacy in high school settings. The High-Luminosity target neutral beam absorber (TAXN) is the radiation absorber of the neutral particle debris generated at the beam collisions carried out in the ATLAS and CMS detectors at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The new absorber will protect the superconducting magnets from this radiation to prevent their quenching at a design luminosity of 7.5×10^{34} cm^{−2} s^{−1}. This article describes the mechanical design of the TAXN assembly and the recombination chamber together with the thermal computations performed for the water-cooling and bakeout system prepared for the engineering design review held in January, 2021. It takes into account the internal integration of the zero degree calorimeter and beam rate of neutrals luminosity detector as well as their physics case overview. In addition, it provides the beam aperture breakdown and the heat deposition expected in the absorber.

La presente investigación se focaliza en caracterizar el contexto situacional de la enseñanza de la literatura en el aula de inglés de las escuelas de la provincia de San Luis, para analizar y describir el rol que los docentes asignan a la literatura y los supuestos subyacentes metodológico-didácticos implícitos en sus prácticas de enseñanza. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo, descriptivo. La muestra consistió en 12 docentes de inglés de nivel secundario de la región 1 de San Luis. Los datos se recolectaron por medio de entrevistas semi-estructuradas y se triangularon con los programas curriculares de los docentes entrevistados. Como técnicas de análisis se utilizaron la categorización y el análisis de contenido. Se observa que el rol que los docentes de inglés asignan a la literatura en su práctica docente es de carácter secundario, utilizándola solo como un vehículo para la enseñanza de la lengua. Se percibe a la literatura como un contenido aislado que no puede ser relacionado con las demás áreas del lenguaje o con otras disciplinas.

El 60% de las muerte infantiles se relacionan con la salud materna por eso la importancia de trabajar el binomio madreniño. El bajo peso al nacer está relacionado con escasos controles prenatales, espacios intergenéticos cortos, enfermedades maternas como hipertensión, alteraciones de la nutrición y escasa educación. El objetivo del presente trabajo es presentar un modelo de enseñanza de la pediatría en el post grado que integre el binomio madre-niño b) Abordar la capacitación y actualización interdisciplinaria del equipo de salud de APS a traves de una modalidad a distancia c)Favorecer la articulación docente asistencial. (Universidad, Provincia, Municipio). La modalidad a distancia brinda oportunidad a los profesionales a actualizarse sin dejar su medio social y laboral. El material de estudio, módulos, se envía por correo electrónico o en soporte digital (CD). Las actividades que se proponen son la mayoría de resolución colectiva, lo que permite la integración de las diferentes disciplinas del equipo de salud. Se implementó la figura del tutor y dos evaluaciones presenciales, además de una encuesta de satisfacción. En los tres cursos realizados se inscribieron 1026 participantes y finalizaron 752, siendo el 52% médicos, 15.8% enfermeras, auxiliares 8.7%, otras profesiones (23%). El curso tenía estrecha relación con su desempeño profesional para más del 70%, el contenido era comprensible y las consignas claras en el 90%. Conclusiones: La mayoría de los participantes (90.7%) manifestaron satisfacción, facilitó la formación de profesionales disminuyendo costos y adecuando el tiempo de estudio. Las dificultades encontradas: Desconocimiento del uso del ordenador, lugares del interior que no cuentan con internet. Dificultad para tener una visión integral del binomio madre niño. El aprendizaje no fue sólo para los participantes sino que el equipo docente universitario se vio enriquecido por el aporte de las experiencias locales y el conocimiento de las Instituciones del interior provincial.

The organization implemented at CERN and the milestones fixed to fulfill the technical requirements and to respect the master schedule of the machine installation are described. The production of the main dipole cold masses for LHC has necessitated the participation of a great number of people at CERN.

The start-up phase and difficulties encountered during the implementation of the specific technologies and tooling developed and qualified by CERN are described. The flexible strategy tailored to the peculiarities of each zone while assembling the LHC cryomagnets is shown to be very effective.

A simplified model of superconducting quadrupole with uniform current density is analyzed. Results suggest that the stress is below 100 MPa for apertures radii smaller than 60 mm in case of Nb-Ti.

The 2-D magnetic field calculations of selected coil configurations for the Next European Dipole (NED) are presented. Results suggest that the conventional layered cos-theta design is appropriate for the 88 mm aperture, whereas the slotted cos-theta design is more appropriate for large apertures.

The application of learning curve analysis to 80 percent of the production of the main dipoles for Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is discussed. Findings reveal higher learning percentage, which indicates a lower learning speed.
