Badge is made of white metal, and was worn by members of the Other Ranks on the feather bonnet or glengarry. The stag's head and rock ivy on this badge are both symbols of Clan Gordon and the Gordon Highlanders, the latter of which was a British Army regiment that fought in World War I. The regimental and clan motto "BYDAND" is Scots, and translates roughly to "steadfast" in English.

Both sides of the body of this wooden bookmark are painted with the United States flag. Overlaying the flag on either side is a branch with a number of green leaves. The top of the bookmark features a portrait view of an American soldier, with brown helmet atop his head and the collar of his uniform showing. Near the bottom of this bookmark are the initials JOB.

Overlaying the design on either side is a branch with a number of green leaves and berries. This shell is made of brass. There are flowers and leaves featured on the main body of the shell, with the names "NORMA" and "DADY" written on a diagonal, as well as the year "1918" between the names. The tip of the fuse of the projectile is engraved with "L160 17."

These shells are made of brass and have been cut down into cup shapes from their full height. The central feature of both cups are two words written in an undetermined language, and what appear to be producer initials underneath. Surrounding this text on either side are engraved flowers and leaves. This same motif is engraved on the handles of the cups. Bordering the top and bottom of the cups is a triangular pattern.

The shell is made of brass. It has three small horizontal leaves depicted near its top edge. In its center, it features a plant stem with two leaves and two flowers growing from it. Below this the name of the French commune of "Commercy" is written in script.

This club is ornately carved. The top of it has a leaf motif. On the main part of the club written in script is, "Son[u]venir de France Francis G. Rancloes Compny L. 103 Infant USA." Small carved branches with leaves are interspersed between these words. Below this are more leaf designs that mimic the ones on the top of the club. The club has a ribbed handle.

This postcard features an embroidered oval British flag in its center, surrounded by a golden threaded circle. This central flag is surrounded by flags of the Allied powers on both sides. Above the main British flag is the word, "Honour," embroidered in tan thread. Near the bottom corners of the postcard are two gold-colored leaves. The embroidery has a cardboard border. On the back is the text, "CARTE POSTALE," with smaller text stating in French that the postcard may not be accepted by all foreign countries

This memorial tile has the following words painted on it: "A LA MEMOIRE DE VICTOR DOUAU tombé glorieusement pour la FRANCE le 26 Octobre 1918." This translates to: "In memory of Victory Douau fell gloriously for France on October 26 1918. The words at the bottom of the tile are surrounded by green leaves.

This button features the emblem of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The emblem has a bison in its center with the phrase "MAINTIENS LE DROIT" in French around it, meaning "defending the law." Surrounding this are maple leaves and at the top, a crown with "CANADA" written right below it. At the bottom of the seal is a ribbon that has the words, "ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE." On the reverse of this button are the words, "MADE IN ENGLAND."

This medal is in the shape of a cross. On the obverse side featured in a circle in the center is the seal of the city of New Haven, Connecticut, a ship on the ocean with a warrior head on top of the ship. There is a phrase below this, "mare liberum," meaning "free sea" or "free ocean." Underneath the seal outlined in a ribbon design held on both horizontal arms of the cross by a pair of leaves is written, "NEW HAVEN." Going through the center of the cross vertically is the symbol of a fasces. A fasces is an ancient Roman symbol depicting rods bound together, with an ax emerging out of it. On the reverse of the medal, a sword is depicted on the vertical arms of the cross and on the horizontal arms, a rectangular shape is present with words inside of it that read: "TO HER SONS WHO WENT FORTH TO WAR THAT THEIR HOMES MIGHT REMAIN AT PEACE 1917.1919." The cross is held by a red, white and blue ribbon with a metal ribbon bar at the top.

This medal is in the shape of a cross. The cross is black and outlined in silver. On the obverse side it features a "W" in its center. Above the W is a crown and below the W is the written "1914." On the reverse it features leaves in the middle. Above them is a crown and the letters "FW." Below the leaves is the year "1813." A suspension ring is above the medal that presumably would have attached to a ribbon, which is now missing.

Banjo is five stringed, but is missing all strings. The neck and peghead are made of wood while the body of banjo is made of vellum. Multiple brackets surround the exterior. The vellum has been decorated in colored ink. The decorations appear as follows: There is a blue ring around the outer edge followed by a red ring within it. Within the red ring is a large "A." On either side of the "A" are two shields. One shield has "26 Inf." in red ink and is surrounded by a laurel crown. This indicates the United State's 26th Infantry. The other shield has a red colored "1" and is surrounded by a green laurel crown. This indicates the 1st Division. Additionally, "Shelby K Perry" and "Bought in Germany June 5, 1919" are written in the center of the vellum. On the reverse side of the banjo are the names of the people belonging to the 26th Infantry, 1st Division. Though some of the names are illegible, the readable names are: James Wright, Harry R. [last name illegible], Ray F [Turentin?] (1st Lt. 26th Inf.), Edward S. Hawkins, W.C. Sinmetz (2nd Lt. 26th Inf.), George N. Blair, Robert L Hicks (1st Leut 26th Inf.), Florence W Smith, Helen M [White?], Harry H. Johnson, Dayton Sackett (1st 26 Inf. U.S. Army), Isabel Trotter, Mary Adeline Craig, J Williams, and four other names that are illegible.

This small pouch is made of cloth and has a leather closure at the top, with holes that can be threaded with string or ribbon. The pouch bears an image of the U.S. Seal, surrounded by the inscriptions, "U.S. MAIL" and "FROM U.S. ARMY CAMP EDWARDS MASS.". Camp Edwards was a U.S. Army training camp built primarily during World War II. This pouch was likely a souvenir item that soldiers training at the camp could send to loved ones back home.

Card deck contains forty-eight (48) cards. The cards depict men, women, a series of locations and attractions in Germany including the Wartburg Castle, Leipzig Court Building, Harz's Brocken Hotel, Niederwald Monument, Kyffhauser Monument, Volkerschlacht National Monument in Leipzig, and the Imperial Place of Goslar. There is a card box that holds the cards. On the box it says "Doppelkopf-Spielkarten Nr. 620" (Double headed playing cards Number 620), "Vereinigte Altenburger und Stralsunder Speilkarten-Fabriken AG., Altenburg/Thur" (United Altenburger and Stralsunder Playing Card Factory), "Doppelkopf-Spielkarte - 2 x 24 Blatt" (Double headed playing cards 2 x 24 Sheet). At the very bottom of the box it says "L/0982" and "180 II sp 929."

Card deck has thirty-seven (37) cards. They are a mixture of King, Queen, Jack, and suited cards of hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds. The suited cards do not have numbers in the corner. One of the cards contains manufacturer information and says "Excelsior" and "A. Doughterty Manufacturer New York."

Card deck has nineteen (19) cards. There is one King and one Queen card. The rest of the cards just have hearts, clubs, spades, or diamond suits and have no numbers on them. The backs of the cards are green and some have remnants of a floral pattern.

This circular medal is made of bronze, with "BRONZE" and the Paris Mint cornucopia inscribed on its edge. The obverse depicts two female figures; one resembles the Marianne figure used to represent the French Republic, wearing a Phrygian cap and holding what appear to be a flag and laurel branch. She rests her hand on the shoulder of the second figure dressed in military garb, including a helmet and sword. This second figure may be Joan of Arc, and likely represents the French Army. These figures are holding the city of Verdun in the background against a crowned and sword-wielding eagle in the foreground, representing Germany. Also in the foreground are coats of arms of Verdun and France, with "VERDUN ON NE PASSE PAS MCMXVI" ("Verdun none shall pass 1916") below. Inscribed very small is the artist's name, "CH. Pillet" (Charles Pillet), and his monogram "CP" is also on the reverse. The reverse of the medal has three portraits at the top, from left to right inscribed, "GENERAL PETAIN", "GENERAL NIVELLE", and "GENERAL DE CURIERES DE CASTELNAU". Framed by a laurel wreath are the words, "A LA GLOIRE DES HÉROS DE VERDUN MCMXVI" ("to the glory of the heroes of Verdun 1916"). The Croix de Guerre and Legion of Honour medals are at the base of the wreath.

Obverse side of medal depicts busts of Marie Depage and Edith Cavell with an olive branch in the background. The medal also lists their names on the edge. Additionally, the medalist, Armand Bonnetain, and year of production are inscribed at the bottom: "A. Bonnetain" and "1919." Reverse side of medal says "1915" and "REMEMBER!" On the outer edge of the medal is the producer information which appears to say "FONSON & C15."

This circular medal is made of bronze, with "BRONZE" and the Paris Mint cornucopia inscribed on its edge. Its obverse depicts a female figure wearing a crown and holding an American flag, who may be a personification of Liberty, Victory, or the United States (the latter is referred to as Columbia). She is pointing forward, directing Doughboys fighting on a battlefield. Inscribed on the obverse are, "St MIHIEL 1918" and the artist's name, "F FRAISSE" (likely referring to the French medalist Édouard Fraisse). The reverse of the medal bears an image of a helmet, shield, and map labeled "St Mihiel", surrounded by a wreath. Below are the dates of the Battle of St. Mihiel, "12 & 13 Sept 1918", along with a description in English and French. English: "The American Troops operating victoriously in the St Mihiel Secteur broke the resistance of the ennemy [sic] and captured 13300 prisoners". French: "Les Troupes Americaines operant victorieusement dans le Secteur de St Mihiel ont brise la resistance ennemie et fait 13300 prisonniers".

Obverse side of this Iron Cross medal depicts a crown above the letters "FW" (signifying Frederick William III, King of Prussia), oak leaves and acorns, and the year "1813." Reverse side of medal depicts a crown, the letter "W," and the year "1914." The "W" signifies Kaiser Wilhelm and his reign during World War I. The medal is attached to a black and white striped ribbon.

This circular medal is made of bronze, and the obverse depicts a Catholic chaplain holding a crucifix and leading servicemen in prayer at the battlefront. Battleships are visible in the background. During World War I, chaplains funded by the Knights of Columbus supplemented those already provided by the National Catholic War Council, and this medal was awarded to recognize their service. On the reverse of the medal is the inscription, "PRESENTED TO" with a blank space to write the name of the medal's recipient, and "IN RECOGNITION OF PATRIOTIC LABORS AS A KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CHAPLAIN IN THE SERVICE OF GOD AND COUNTRY WITH OUR HEROIC MEN OF THE VICTORIOUS AMERICAN FORCES IN THE GREAT WORLD CONFLICT OF 1914-1918". These inscriptions have been placed on a shield, which is surrounded by a wreath with "SUPREME COUNCIL" on a ribbon below next to the Knights of Columbus emblem .The emblem consists of a shield overlaying a Maltese Cross, with "K of C" above. Mounted on the shield are a fasces, an anchor, and a dagger or short sword. Inscribed on the edge of the medal is the name of its manufacturer, "WHITEHEAD-HOAG" (The Whitehead & Hoag Co.).

Metal pin is made from four (4) three pence British coins. Each of the coins have various production dates. The oldest coin depicts Queen Mary and this coin design was produced from approximately 1893-1901. One coin depicts King George V. The other three coins have the years "1935" and "1938" on them. Soldered onto two of the coins are the letters "H" and "R." It is uncertain if these are someone's initials.

This pin is made of a thin strip of unknown metal, with what appears to be an appliqué depicting an oak branch, with leaves and acorns. Hanging from the bottom of the pin is a rifle bullet, the size of which suggests it is a projectile from a .303 British cartridge. The reverse of the pin bears an adhesive label with "EE-284".

This badge is made of an unknown metal and cannot be accurately identified as belonging to any particular military unit. However, the presence of an eagle and American flags suggests that this badge is associated with the United States. The flags are flanking a lyre or harp, upon which the eagle is perched. At the center of the badge are the letters, "R. C. B." stamped into the metal, with a wreath below. The letters may stand for a particular military unit, or they may be the owner's initials. The lyre is a symbol commonly found in the badges and insignia of military bands, suggesting that this badge may be associated with a U.S. military band.

This badge appears to be bimetal (made of both brass and white metal), and depicts a pair of crossed swords overlaid by three conjoined maple leaves with a royal crown above. Below on a scroll is inscribed, "CANADA". The sword blades appear to be white metal, while the rest of the badge is brass. This badge cannot be accurately identified as affiliated with any particular branch or unit of the Canadian Armed Forces. As part of the WWI Hunter Collection, however, it is likely that this badge is related in some way to the Canadian Expeditionary Force, which fought in World War I.

This letter opener, or knife, has a 8 mm Lebel rifle cartridge for its handle, with the projectile still attached. The blade is curved, with a portion cut out at its widest part, and appears to have been soldered onto the bullet projectile. There are engraved decorations on the surface of the blade, including two flags and a ribbon with the inscription, "Snir de France", likely an abbreviation for "Souvenir de France". One flag has been painted to look like the American flag, and the other has been painted to look like the French flag, both in red, white, and blue. Green leaves have also been painted in the center of the blade. On one side of the cartridge is a circular crown appliqué.

This silver medal (known as a "jewel") is in the form of a cross overlaying a circular wreath. On the left arm of the cross is inscribed "1914", and on the right is "1918". Superimposed on the cross between the dates is an angel, holding in its hands a temple with Masonic characteristics. At the top of the medal, where a blue ribbon is attached, is the square and compasses symbol of the Freemasons. The reverse of the medal is inscribed, "W. Bro. A.J. Jordan", ostensibly this medal's recipient, and "No 296" below. Between these two inscriptions is a very small set of stamps with the manufacturer's initials, "A.G.W.", and what appear to be a lion passant, a leopard's head, and a lowercase letter "f" (silver identification marks). The manufacturer cannot be sufficiently identified from these initials., The Masonic Million Memorial Fund Commemorative Jewels, also known as Hallstone Jewels, were awarded by the (Freemason) Grand Lodge of England to those who helped fund the building of a new headquarters (first called the Masonic Peace Memorial, and later Freemasons' Hall). This building was commissioned as a memorial to those who lost their lives during World War I. The silver version of the medal was awarded to members of an English lodge who contributed ten guineas or more to the fund. According to the medal's designer, Bro. Cyril Saunders Spackman, the cross symbolizes sacrifice and the angel symbolizes peace.

This badge appears to be bimetal (made of both brass and white metal). It depicts a Staff of Aesculapius (a staff with a snake twined around it) within a wreath of maple leaves, above the words "ROYAL CANADIAN", and "ARMY MEDICAL CORPS" on a scroll, all surmounted by a royal crown. The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps was an administrative corps that provided medical services to the Canadian Army during World War I, then known simply as the Canadian Army Medical Corps.

Badge is made of unknown metal, and contains imagery related to that of the British chivalric Order of the Garter, namely a garter in the shape of a circle with the Order's motto "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE". In the center is a beaver resting on a log, and below the garter and supported by a spray of six maple leaves is a scroll inscribed "R.C.A.P.C." with the whole surmounted by a royal crown. The Royal Canadian Army Pay Corps was an administrative corps of the Canadian Army that supported other regiments and corps by ensuring that members received their pay appropriately. During World War I, it was known simply as the Canadian Army Pay Corps.

Badge is made of an unknown metal and is shaped primarily like a maple leaf, bearing the number "79" topped by a royal crown. Below the number is an image of a bison surrounded by the words, "OVERSEAS BATTALION" and "MANITOBA", with "CANADA" below on a scroll. This battalion was part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I, and provided reinforcements to the Canadian Corps.

Badge is made of an unknown metal and shaped like a maple leaf, with a royal crown in the center superimposed on an exploding grenade within a ring inscribed, "LES FUSILIERS DE SHERBROOKE". Above the words is an image of a beaver, and below is a scroll with the regimental motto, "DROIT AU BUT" ("To the point" in English). Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke was a Primary Reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Army during World War I, then known as the 54th Regiment (Carabiniers de Sherbrooke).

This badge is made of white metal (now rusted), and is round in shape, marking it as an example of the first badge pattern used by the Other Ranks of the 1st-4th Tyneside Scottish battalions. The badge depicts a lion standing on a castle tower and grasping a flag that bears a small St. Andrew's cross, flanked by leaves and thistles. Around the outside of the badge is the Northumberland Fusiliers' Latin motto, "QUO FATA VOCANT" ("Whither the Fates call" in English). Below the tower on a scroll is written, "TYNESIDE SCOTTISH". The 1st-4th Tyneside Scottish battalions were locally-recruited battalions that formed the 102nd (Tyneside Scottish) Brigade. They were known as the 20th-23rd (Service) Battalions as part of the Northumberland Fusiliers in the British Army. These battalions landed in France and took part in several battles on the Western Front, including the Battle of the Somme and the Battle of Arras.

This badge is made of brass and was worn by London Rifle Brigade cadets beginning in 1908. It features a wreath with crossed sword and mace behind a shield bearing the Royal Standard of the United Kingdom (with the Irish harp, Scottish lion rampant, and English lions passant guardant), all underneath a royal crown. Around the shield are the words, "LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE", with the unit's Latin motto "PRIMUS IN URBE" ("First in the city" in English) below, which refers to the fact that it was the first volunteer rifle corps in the City of London. Beneath this motto is a shield bearing the City of London's arms (a cross with an upward-facing sword in the upper-left quadrant) with "CADETS" below.

Metal badge depicts a Maltese cross in the center of a circular banner saying "King's Own Malta Regiment." On the outside of the banner are oak leaves. Above the banner is a crown. Below the banner it says "MDCCC" which represents 1800. This is the year that the British took over Malta.

This badge is made of brass and features an eight-pointed star, flanked by two olive branches with a royal crown above. In the center is an image of St Augustine's Tower Hackney, surrounded by the motto of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney: "JUSTITIA TURRIS NOSTRA" (in English: "Justice is our tower"). Below are the words, "TENTH LONDON HACKNEY". The 10th County of London Battalion, London Regiment was formed in 1912 to replace the Paddington Rifles, and headquartered in Hackney.

This badge, often known as a star or pip, was worn by British Army officers on the shoulder to denote their rank. This particular variety of star is called a Bath star, being a simplified version of the star of the Order of the Bath, one of the four British Orders of Chivalry. It features three crowns in the center, surrounded by the Order of the Bath's motto: "TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO", translating to "Three joined in one" in English. This is in turn flanked by two laurel branches, all overlaying a Maltese Cross.

This badge is made of brass and was worn on the slouched hat by the Other Ranks of the Scottish Horse regiments, originally raised during the Second Boer War. It features the words, "SCOTTISH HORSE 1900" around a cross of St Andrew, with a laurel branch on the right side and a juniper branch on the left. During World War I, the Scottish Horse Imperial Yeomanry (a successor to the Second Boer War regiments) became part of the British Territorial Force, some of which fought overseas.

This is a brass helmet plate that was worn by the Royal Marine Light Infantry of Great Britain between 1905 and 1953. Roughly in the shape of an eight-pointed star, it features a royal crown above the words, "GIBRALTAR" and "PER MARE PER TERRAM". The latter phrase has a blue enamel background, and is the motto of the Royal Marines in Latin, which translates to "By Sea, By Land" in English. The words surround an image of a globe, and are in turn surrounded by a wreath of laurel branches. At the bottom of the helmet plate is a fouled anchor, a common Navy Service symbol. The images on this plate closely resemble the current crest of the Royal Marines.

This style of stereoscope was first created by Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr. around 1860, and has been referred to as an American or Holmes stereoscope. It is made primarily of wood, with a thin sheet of metal surrounding the viewing area that has been engraved with leaf and flower designs. Some of the screws that attached the metal to wood are missing. To use this stereoscope, a person would hold the fold-out handle at the bottom and bring the lenses to his or her face, using the surrounding metal to block outside light. The prismatic lenses would magnify images on a stereo card placed in the holder at the far end of the stereoscope, blending them into a single three-dimensional image. The holder can be adjusted to move the stereo card toward and away from a person's eyes. Carved into the underside are the words, "H.C. WHITE CO MAKERS STEREOSCOPES AND STEREOGRAPHS" and "NORTH BENNINGTON VT., U.S.A."

Tin is made of metal and decorated with abstract scrolling and zig-zag patters in two shades of blue, as well as silver. Its lid opens on hinges, and "EDGEWORTH" and "EXTRA HIGH GRADE PLUG SLICE" are written on the lid, with "MANUFACTURED BY LARUS & BRO CO. RICHMOND, VA." written on a scroll below. "Finest Selected Stock" is written along one side, and there is the remnant of a blue tobacco tax stamp on the bottom of the tin.

Pipe has a wooden stem and mouthpiece, with a porcelain bowl and shank. There is a length of thin string or twine wound around the top of the stem, with two small green pom-poms attached to the ends. There is also a hinged metal cap attached to the top of the bowl. At the bend in the shank is an image of an Iron Cross with the inscriptions, "W" and "1914", surrounded by a laurel wreath tied with a bow. On the front of the bowl is the inscription, "Fest steht der deutschen Bruderstämme Wacht am Rhein." surrounded by another wreath with berries, German flags, and oak leaves. The words are similar to the lyrics of "Die Wacht am Rhein", a German patriotic anthem, and roughly translate to "Strong stands the German brotherhood watch on the Rhine". Below is inscribed "1915". On the back of bowl, facing the stem, is inscribed, "Armee Abteilung Gaede". This was a detachment of the German Army during World War I, named after its commander General Hans Gaede and later known as Armee-Abteilung B.
