The construction of the source and Low Energy Beam Transport of the future Proton-Linac for the FAIR facility in Darmstadt, Germany (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) is going forward at CEA-Saclay in France. The latest results of normalized emittance and of species proportions are shown at different position, directly at the source exit, between the 2 solenoids of the LEBT, and also around the theoretical focal point at RFQ entrance position. A new software for emittance treatment allows separating the different species after emittance measurement and is used to process the data. ESS proton source is in going to be soon delivered to the ESS project. In order to qualify the source, a series of beam instrumentation diagnostics have been designed and produced. In particular, a specific spectrograph dedicated to the fraction species measurement is currently commissioned. This instrument not only is capable of measuring the fraction species produced by the source, but also it can measure their energy and energy spread, the mass of the different species, and additional spectral rays coming from the gas species in presence in the vacuum chamber. Luminescent screens hit by accelerated charged particle beams are commonly used as beam diagnostics to produce a visible emitted light, which can be sensed by a camera. In order to investigate the characteristics of the luminescence response of several scintillators, the beam shape and the observation of the transverse position, experiments were done with different low intensity proton beams produced by two different test benches. This study is motivated by the need to identify scintilla-tor materials for the development of a 4-dimensional emittancemeter which will allow the characterization of the beams, in particular the emittance measurement (size, angular divergence). This paper describes the experimental setups and our investigations of the optical properties of various scintillating materials at two different proton beam energies respectively about 30 keV and 3 MeV. The light produced by these screens is characterized by yield, flux of the emitted light versus the beam intensity, time response, and long life-time and they are compared., Proceedings of the 5th Int. This paper describes the development progress of the 70 MeV, 70 mA proton injector for the FAIR facility. The injector comprises an ECR-type high current proton source followed by a ladder 4-rod RFQ and six normal conduction CH-DTL accelerating cavities. This unique design allows for a compact structure. The design work of the cavities has been mostly completed by our collaberation partners at IAP Frankfurt. The design of the buncher cavities, the mechanical integration as well as beam diagnostic devices are currently under development. The construction of a new modulator for the pLinac rf-system has been started on site. The proton source and the LEBT as well as the subsequent chopper are currently assembled at CEA/Saclay. Beam commissioning of the source at Saclay will start at the beginning of 2017. The Horizon 2020 Project EuPRAXIA ('European Plasma Research Accelerator with eXcellence In Applications') aims at producing a design report of a highly compact and cost-effective European facility with multi-GeV electron beams using plasma as the acceleration medium. The accelerator facility will be based on a laser and/or a beam driven plasma acceleration approach and will be used for photon science, high-energy physics (HEP) detector tests, and other applications such as compact X-ray sources for medical imaging or material processing. EuPRAXIA started in November 2015 and will deliver the design report in October 2019. EuPRAXIA aims to be included on the ESFRI roadmap in 2020., Proceedings of the 8th Int.
