This work aimed to investigate the chemical composition, antioxidant activity, antinociceptive effect, and wound healing activity of the Lonicera caprifolium L. flower essential oil (LCEO). Linalool (16.42%), d-limonene (9.99%), and α-cadinol (10.65%) were the most prevalent components of the LCEO. The LCEO revealed moderate DPPH and ABTS radical-scavenging activity. LCEO exhibited potent antinociceptive activity in acetic acid-induced writhing and hot plate-induced pain model; LCEO reduced 73.88 ± 2.78% of writhing and significantly increased pain withdrawal latency in the mice, respectively. The LCEO also presented a potent wound healing effect, with 98.08 ± 1.37% wound closure on the 12th day of treatment. The results of the study demonstrate antioxidant and wound healing potential with antinociceptive effect. A new, accurate, and easy-to-use UV-spectrophotometry method for analyzing favipiravir in both bulk and tablet forms has been developed. Favipiravir, an antiviral drug, is classified as a modified pyrazine analogue and is also known as 6-fluoro-3-hydroxypyrazine-2-carboxamide. The drug's concentration was determined by measuring zero-order derivative values at a wavelength of 323 nm. A linear plot was constructed, demonstrating linearity within the concentration range of 4-20 μg mL-1, with an impressive correlation coefficient (r2) of 0.9997 for the zero-order spectrophotometry method. The method's limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) were determined to be 0.08 g and 0.26 g, respectively. All suggested methods were rigorously tested to make sure they met the standards set by the International Council for Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use. Apremilast is used for treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. It may also be beneficial for other inflammatory diseases relevant to the immune system. The drug functions as a selective enzyme phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor and avoids the spontaneous development of TNF-alpha from human synovial rheumatoid cells. The present review assesses the different approaches for evaluation of apremilast in bulk material as well as different formulations. A concise review consists of compile and discuss about over 30 methods for analysing apremilast in the biological matrices, the samples of bulk and in different dosage formulations including HPLC, HPTLC, UPLC, LC-MS and UV-spectrophotometry. A simple Q-absorbance ratio UV-spectrophotometric method was developed for the simultaneous estimation of Naproxen and Paracetamol in pharmaceutical dosage form. The solvent used was 0.1N NaOH. Two wavelengths 257.00 nm (λmax of Paracetamol) and 234.00 nm (Isoabsorptive point) were selected for estimation of paracetamol and naproxen for Q-Absorbance ratio method. The overlay spectrum of both drugs was used to decide the isoabsorptive point for analysis. The linearity ranges for Paracetamol (PCM) and Naproxen (NPX) were 2.5 - 5.0 μg/ml and 1.5 - 3.0 μg/ml respectively. The % recovery was found to be 97.91% and 98.64% for paracetamol and naproxen respectively indicating that the proposed method was accurate and precise for simultaneous estimation of naproxen and paracetamol in bulk formulations.
