Intrauterine hypoxia (IUH) changes the postnatal heart development and contributes to the individual susceptibility to cardiovascular diseases, also by impairment of protein-synthetic function of cardiomyocytes (CMC). Non-opiate analogues of leu-enkephalin, peptides NALE (Phe–D-Ala–Gly–Phe–Leu–Arg) and G (Phe–D-Ala–Gly–Phe–Leu–Gly), cytoprotectors with the wide spectrum of biological activity, improve the state of the CMC nucleo-nucleolar apparatus in neonatal age after IUH. The aim of the study was to analyze the parameters of CMC nucleo-nucleolar apparatus in mature albino rats, exposed to IUH and to the neonatal administration of peptides-analogues of leu-enkephalin. Material and methods. The offspring of Wistar rat females, subjected to hypobaric exposure (15–19 days of gestation, pO2 = 65 mm. Hg, duration – 4 hours), received from day 2 to day 6 of life daily intraperitoneal injections of NALE and G peptides (100 µg/kg), as well as NALE in combination with non-selective NO synthase blocker L-NAME (50 mg/kg), after that they were withdrawn from the experiment in mature age (60 days). The animals of control group and the comparison group received an equal volume of isotonic sodium chloride solution. The karyo- and nucleolometric parameters of CMC, and also the CMC nucleoli number were analyzed in heart sections, stained by using AgNOR method. Results and their discussion. IUH induced the significant decrease in nucleoli number of the CMC of both heart ventricles, and also led to the impairment of karyo- and nucleolometric parameters of the CMC in the mature offspring. Administration of NALE peptide in dose of 100 µg/kg in neonatal period corrected the posthypoxic changes of the CMC nucleonucleolar apparatus. Neonatal administration of non-selective NO-synthase blocker (L-NAME, 50 mg/kg) obviated the registered effects of NALE. The correction of delayed posthypoxic changes, similar to the effects of NALE, was observed after administration of its arginineless analogue– the G peptide. Conclusions. The cardioprotective effect of NALE is partially mediated by L-arginine – a potential donator of nitric oxide. Non-opiate analogues of leu-enkephalin – the NALE and G peptides, might be considered as perspective cardioprotective substances with the delayed activity, preventing the long-term consequences of the IUH.

The authors appealed to the principles of eco-translatology, translation ecology, and eco-cognitive translation to analyze the current eco-cognitive translation paradigm across Russian, Chinese, and English studies. The review covered research articles published in Russian, Chinese, and English and registered in the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Russian Scientific Electronic Library (eLibrary), and Scopus. The data underwent a digital scientometric analysis using VOSviewer 1.6.20. Chinese publications currently outnumber Russian and English-language articles. However, the review revealed some research prospects in the eco-cognitive translation paradigm in China, Russia, and internationally. The digital software proved to be an important tool of scientific review that contributes to a deeper understanding of the current state and trends in translation ecology and eco-translatology.

This paper elaborates on the problem of quality management at the company, which is implemented through sustainable HRM, which, in turn, is based on digital competencies. In the process of the research, we disclose the modern understanding of quality, characterise the specifics of sustainable management labour resources, and determine the important role and parameters of digital competencies. The basis of the methodology of this research is the concept that is aimed at combining the spheres of digital competence, sustainable HRM, and quality management, which allows strengthening and expanding the opportunities for ensuring quality at the company. The result of this research is the determination of positive effects and interconnection between digital competencies, sustainable HRM and the system of quality management. Characteristics of these facts allowed identifying the key advantages of the proposed integration of the sub-systems of management, which are based on fuller use of digital solutions in business, learning, and quality management. According to this, we determine the relevance of the company's personnel acquiring digital competencies and their complete use within the sustainable management of human resources, which will allow for a substantial increase in the level of quality management at the company.

This work strived to solve an important scientific problem of developing methodological recommendations on decision-making in the sphere of product quality management with the help of innovations. According to this, the paper generalised and supplemented the methodological provisions of the theory of managerial decision-making given the specifics of the processes of quality management and the use of innovations and characterised the influence and value of new ideas and solutions on the quality of products and the general effectiveness and competitiveness of the company. The paper also substantiated the important role of innovations from the position of their influence on the quality of products and considered the system of quality management based on innovations, which includes technical and social components, in particular, the cycle of innovations of quality, tools and methodology of ensuring quality, on the one hand, and the principles of quality management and culture of quality and learning, on the other hand. Special attention was paid to the necessity to take into account - when developing managerial decisions - the complex economic and market proportions through modelling of the appropriate strategies based on game theory methods. This allows considering not only the factual parameters of price, quality, and expenses but also modelling their influence on the general market situation, including the behaviour of rivals and consumers.

Purpose: to analyze changes in air temperature and precipitation in the northwestern agricultural zone of Rostov region (since there is currently an urgent need to take into account climate changes in a specific soil and climate zone to adjust the composition of crops grown). Continuous operational monitoring of growing conditions for agricultural crops is necessary throughout the growing season. Materials and methods. Synoptic and statistical research methods were used. Results. A trend toward an increase in the average annual air temperature and the sum of temperatures above 10 °C is shown. The warming trend in recent decades in the northwestern zone has become increasingly pronounced, and the annual amount of precipitation has a significant upward trend. Conclusions. During the study period, a trend toward an increase in the average annual temperature and annual precipitation was observed. In general, a comparison of the average annual air temperature for 2000–2023 and 1950–1999 showed an increase from 8.6 to 10.2 °C, or by 18.6 %, while an increase in the average annual precipitation for the study period by 7.5 % was noted. Analysis of the supply curve showed that the probability of exceeding the amount of precipitation of 658 mm is 5 %, 530 mm – 25 %, 458 mm – 50 %, 392 mm – 75 % and 275 mm – 95 %. In general, there is a general trend towards increasing aridization of the climate of the territory, which requires adjustment of breeding work taking into account climate change trends and the implementation of special organizational and economic measures to increase the humidity of the territory due to agro-technical cultivation methods.

The research identifies key problems in the field of correcting and maintaining the image of a political subject in the mass media and deepens the differentiation of concepts from the sphere of political image. Practical recommendations are offered for optimizing strategies and technologies for improving the image characteristics of a political subject using PR communications, visual and verbal components available in the arsenal of practical politicians, which are offered to them by moderators of political image-making processes at the regional level. The results of the study can be used to effectively build the image of a regional politician and develop an image strategy and tactics within the framework of electoral cycles. The factual material, theoretical provisions and conclusions proposed by the authors of the research can be used in teaching elective courses related to political science issues. The results of the study can also be useful in the cultural and educational activities of participants in election campaigns and those interested in the regional political process in modern Russia.

Cereals and legumes have a porous structure, being an inert carrier during mass exchange processes; they contain voids in the form of pores and stomata, on the surface of which there are foreign extractable substances in a solid state, in particular, trypsin and urease inhibitor proteins. These substances, due to their harmful effect on the final product, are subject to removal by extraction. One of the methods for inactivating anti-nutritional substances is ultrasonic treatment of soybeans.The article discusses the technology of inactivating inhibitors that worsen food and protein value of vital soybeans. The developed technology was aimed at dissolving a solid substance - soybean inhibitor protein in a liquid, carried out due to molecular diffusion, intensifying the processes of mass transfer and mass return. When creating a suspension by mixing the solid (crushed soybean grain) and liquid (water) phases, water molecules, which are a solvent, penetrate under the action of capillary forces into the pores and stomata of the treated body, begin to penetrate. On this basis, technological directions of research have been established, a sequence has been built and the physical essence of operations has been substantiated, consisting of four main ones - grinding soybean grain, creating a “water-soybean” suspension, ultrasonic (US) treatment of soybeans, drying. As a result of the conducted research, optimal technological parameters have been established for intensifying the process of inactivation of anti-nutritional substances contained in native soybeans: the degree of grinding of soybean grains is 0.5-1.0 mm; the ratio of water-soy suspension (1:1). The efficiency of the developed technological process will be factors affecting the quality of the resulting products, the duration and energy intensity of the process, resource conservation, simplicity of design and low cost of manufacture, the possibility of automation.

This paper is devoted to the comprehensive study of the problem of responsible knowledge management and the development of information systems in the conditions of the digital economy from the position of the ESG system. It points to the relevance of the problem of knowledge management in the conditions of modern challenges, characterises processes connected with knowledge management from the position of sustainable development, and points to the potential of information systems and digital technologies from the position of the perspective of intellectual potential development. The methodological framework of the research is comprised of general economic and special research methods. They are founded on the interconnected categories of responsible knowledge management, social responsibility, sustainable development, etc. To justify the offered hypothesis, the methods of correlation & regression analysis and empirical methods of analysis, synthesis, generalisation, and observation were used. The main value of this paper lies in the scientific substantiation of the fact of ambiguity in the assessment of the influence of the processes of sustainable and intellectual development on the economic state of Russia. According to this, the irrationality of financing scientific and innovative developments was established, and the expedience of stimulating the further implementation of information systems and technologies of knowledge management into the practice of companies’ activities was determined.

In this paper, we elaborated on the features of the formation of knowledge and information systems management in the countries that are leaders in this sphere and assessed the influence of their transformations on the innovativeness of the digital economy. The goal of this work was to find the key features of the contribution of the components of knowledge and information systems management to the improvement of the innovative development and digitalization of countries. We revealed that achievement of high results in these components is possible in case of the formation of a favourable environment for them, the key position in which belongs to Internet quality and coverage and government support. The presented ways to search for opportunities for implementing infrastructural projects in the creation of favourable conditions for the implementation of knowledge and information systems management will allow developing economies to ensure significant growth. The novelty of this research is connected with the determination of the features of knowledge and information systems management, which allow countries to ensure growth in the sphere of innovations and the digital economy.

The purpose of the current study was to estimate the adaptive potential of four varieties and three lines of spring durum wheat developed by the FSBSI FRARC based on the results of their testing in the steppe part of the Rostov region in 2020–2023. The estimation of ecological adaptability and stability of the varieties and lines was conducted according to the method of S. A. Eberhart, W. A. Russell as presented by V. A. Zykin; homeostatic indicator was identified according to V. V. Khangildin. There has been presented an estimation of varieties and lines according to their productivity, environmental stability, adaptability, and technological indicators of grain. There was found that the mean productivity of the varieties and lines was 3.44 t/ha, varying over the years from 1.81 to 4.72 t/ha. The varieties ‘Donskaya lazorevaya’ and ‘Volnodonskaya zolotistaya’ formed the maximum mean productivity over the years with 3.52 and 3.58 t/ha. They were characterized by the greatest stability and adaptability, with a low coefficient of variation (3.6 and 2.4 %, respectively) and the greatest homeostaticity (42.37 and 67.06). There was found out that ‘Volnodonskaya zolotistaya’ was a variety that combined high indicators of adaptability, stability and homeostaticity (bi = 1.08; Si2 = 0.016; Hom = 42.37). The variety ‘Volnodonskaya’ and the lines ‘Gord.4699/19’, ‘Gord.4924/20’ and ‘Gord.4465/21’ were characterized by full compliance of the productivity level with changes in cultivation conditions with a regression coefficient bi ≤ 1. The line ‘Gord.4699/19’ was characterized by the greatest stability in productivity (Si2 = 0.007). The regression coefficient (bi) was 0.93, homeostaticity was 67.06, which also indicated its high ecological adaptability. In terms of protein percentage in grain, almost all varieties and lines met the requirements of the 1st class of GOST 9353-2016. Gluten content varied from 20.0 to 25.5 % (the 2–4 class). According to the comprehensive estimation of productivity and grain quality, and adaptability parameters in the conditions of the steppe part of the Rostov region, there have been identified the varieties ‘Donskaya lazorevaya’, ‘Volnodonskaya zolotistaya’ and the line ‘Gord.4699/19’, recommended for breeding for productivity and grain quality.

The radiation pattern within high energy quark- and gluon-initiated jets (jet substructure) is used extensively as a precision probe of the strong force as well as an environment for optimizing event generators with numerous applications in high energy particle and nuclear physics. Looking at electron-proton collisions is of particular interest as many of the complications present at hadron colliders are absent. A detailed study of modern jet substructure observables, jet angularities, in electron-proton collisions is presented using data recorded using the H1 detector at HERA. The measurement is unbinned and multi-dimensional, using machine learning to correct for detector effects. All of the available reconstructed object information of the respective jets is interpreted by a graph neural network, achieving superior precision on a selected set of jet angularities. Training these networks was enabled by the use of a large number of GPUs in the Perlmutter supercomputer at Berkeley Lab. The particle jets are reconstructed in the laboratory frame, using the kT jet clustering algorithm. Results are reported at high transverse momentum transfer Q2>150GeV2, and inelasticity 0.2

Increasing evidence shows how distress following sexual violence might spill over to victims’ romantic relationship functioning. However, studies investigating the reverse spillover between relationship functioning and psychological distress following sexual violence are lacking. The current study therefore aimed to investigate the bidirectional association between victims’ psychological distress (posttraumatic stress, depression, anxiety and stress) and emotional and sexual intimacy using a three-wave yearly survey study of a community sample of sexual violence victims (N = 274, 89% women, 3% men and 8% trans persons, Mage = 32 years, SD = 10.7). Results show evidence for spillover effects for posttraumatic stress and stress on emotional intimacy and for anxiety on sexual intimacy. In addition, reverse spillover effects for emotional intimacy were found on all indicators of psychological distress and for sexual intimacy on depression and anxiety. These results suggest that victims’ individual and relational functioning is bidirectionally associated. In addition, results suggest that targeting intimacy levels within romantic relationships might improve victims’ individual functioning and vice versa. Future research that includes dyadic assessment could enhance our understanding of the bidirectional associations between individual functioning and couple functioning following sexual violence.

Summary: Antimicrobial resistance poses a serious threat to global public health. The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the need to monitor the dissemination of antimicrobial resistance genes and understand the mechanisms driving this process. In this study, we analyzed changes to the oropharyngeal and fecal resistomes of patients with COVID-19 undergoing therapy in a hospital setting. A targeted sequencing panel of 4,937 resistance genes was used to comprehensively characterize resistomes. Our results demonstrated that the oropharyngeal resistome is homogeneous, showing low variability over time. In contrast, fecal samples clustered into two distinct resistotypes that were only partially related to enterotypes. Approximately half of the patients changed their resistotype within a week of therapy, with the majority transitioning to a less diverse and ermB-dominated resistotype 2. Common macrolide resistance genes were identified in over 80% of both oropharyngeal and fecal samples, likely originating from streptococci. Our findings suggest that the fecal resistome is a dynamic system that can exist in certain “states” and is capable of transitioning from one state to another. To date, this is the first study to comprehensively describe the oropharyngeal resistome and its variability over time, and one of the first studies to demonstrate the temporal dynamics of the fecal resistotypes.

The article discusses the issue of effective training for crime prevention and detection among Ukrainian police officers. Notably, it requires professional knowledge and skills to be developed at a certain level, which means the need for high professional development and a certain level of self-awareness. Thus, training, retraining, and morale of the future specialist are some of the determinatives for the successful completion of the missions that police encounter. Special features of the professional identity of the future police specialist have not been defined and structured yet. The purpose of this study is to highlight the empirical study on professional self-awareness findings, which cover its content and structure, as well as to analyse the authorial model of content and structural components of professional self-awareness among future police professionals that was developed for studies in higher educational institutions. The study analysed the problem of future police officers' professional identity and devotion to the organisation. The main research methods included the methods of S. Schwartz's theory of basic human values; methods of R. Cattell's 16 personality factor model; methods A. Rean and V. Yakunin's diagnostics of the motives of students' learning in modification of N. Badmaeva; methods of V. Stephenson's "Q-sorting" in diagnosing the main trends of behaviour in a real group and ideas about themselves; A. Zverkova and E. Eidman's test of volitional self-control; R. Schwarzer and M. Jerusalem's scales of general self-efficacy; methods of N. Hall's emotional intelligence diagnostics, analysis of the collected data. As a result, during the period of professional training in accordance with the programme methodology established by the authors, future police officers of the control sample developed such personal and social qualities as work capacity, proactivity, respect for social norms and adherence to them.

Landslides are one of the most frequent natural disasters that cause significant damage to property in Vietnam, which is characterized by mountainous terrain covering three-quarters of the territory. In 17 northern mountainous provinces of the country, over 500 communes are at a high to very high landslide hazard. The main goal of this study was to establish landslide hazard maps and conduct a comparative evaluation of the efficiency of the methods employed in Tinh Tuc town, Cao Bang province. The landslide hazard assessment was carried out in this study using the combined Fractal-frequency ratio (FFR) and the Frequency ratio (FR) methods. The FR method is based on the actualist principle, which assumes that future landslides may be caused by the same factors that contributed to slope failure in the past and present. The FFR method is based on the determination of the fractal dimension, which serves as a measure of the landslide filling density in the study area. Eight landslide-related factors were considered and presented in cartographic format: elevation, distance to roads, slope, geology, distance to faults, land use, slope aspect, and distance to drainage. Determining the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC-AUC) and verification index (LRclass) was performed to assess the performance of prediction models and the accuracy of the obtained maps. As a result, five zones were identified for the study area, characterized by very low, low, moderate, high, and very high landslide hazards. The analysis of the reliability of the obtained landslide hazard maps using the AUC and LRclass indices revealed that the FFR model has a higher degree of reliability (AUC = 86 %, LRclass = 86 %) compared to the FR model (AUC = 72 %, LRclass = 73 %); therefore, its use is more effective.

Abstract The H1 Collaboration reports the first measurement of the 1-jettiness event shape observable $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b in neutral-current deep-inelastic electron-proton scattering (DIS). The observable $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b is equivalent to a thrust observable defined in the Breit frame. The data sample was collected at the HERA ep collider in the years 2003–2007 with center-of-mass energy of $$\sqrt{s}=319\,\textrm{GeV} $$ s = 319 GeV , corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 351.1 $$\textrm{pb}^{-1}$$ pb - 1 . Triple differential cross sections are provided as a function of $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b , event virtuality $$Q^{2}$$ Q 2 , and inelasticity y, in the kinematic region $$Q^{2} >150\,\textrm{GeV}^2 $$ Q 2 > 150 GeV 2 . Single differential cross sections are provided as a function of $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b in a limited kinematic range. Double differential cross sections are measured, in contrast, integrated over $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b and represent the inclusive neutral-current DIS cross section measured as a function of $$Q^{2}$$ Q 2 and y. The data are compared to a variety of predictions and include long-standing and more recent Monte Carlo event generators, predictions in fixed-order perturbative QCD where calculations up to $$\mathcal {O}(\alpha _\textrm{s} ^3)$$ O ( α s 3 ) are available for $$\tau _1^b$$ τ 1 b or inclusive DIS, and resummed predictions at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy matched to fixed order predictions at $$\mathcal {O}(\alpha _\textrm{s} ^2)$$ O ( α s 2 ) . These comparisons reveal sensitivity of the 1-jettiness observable to QCD parton shower and resummation effects, as well as the modeling of hadronization and fragmentation. Within their range of validity, the fixed-order predictions provide a good description of the data. Monte Carlo event generators are predictive over the full measured range and hence their underlying models and parameters can be constrained by comparing to the presented data.

The need of switch to burn non-design fuel arises during the thermal power plants long-term operation. The choice of replacing coal is quite complicated and currently being solved by various non-design fuels experimental combustion on a specific power boiler. The aim of the work is to develop criteria assessing non-design coal burning possibility in a specific furnace before experimental combustion. The stated goal is achieved with the help of numerical combustion modeling regarding various coals at the pre-critical parameters boiler furnace with an average composition ranking by the lower calorific value. 2 burning ratios have been proposed based on foreign experience: the fuel ratio and the degree of fuel burnout. The first is the ratio of the fuel carbon to volatile substances contents, which in this work are taken as an analytical mass. The second is calculated with the proposed formula, which, instead of the combustible content in fly ash, use mechanical underburning widely included in the technical calculations. Combustion zones with the degree of the acceptable fuel burnout according to the standards and with its excess are distinguished. The limit of possible coal combustion according to the fuel coefficient is found as well. It is shown that this furnace is quite universal for burning a wide range of coals, although it was originally designed for burning brown coal. It is not recommended to burn only lean and low-caking bituminous coals, anthracites and brown coals with calorific value less than 11.5 MJ/kg or humidity more than 40%. The obtained results are significant for the preliminary assessment of non-design fuel combustion and narrowing the range of fuels under consideration. Other the boiler conversion consequences for non-design fuel should be taken into account for the final decision, and above all, the probability of the heating surfaces slagging.

The moisture content (MC) of wheat seeds must be reduced before storage using appropriate dehydration processes. Desiccant drying is a promising alternative to conventional drying methods because it improves seed quality while providing overall energy efficiency. This study explores the sorption drying of wheat seeds using granulated kieserite MgSO4·H2O as a solid desiccant, which has a high water capacity and is regenerated at low temperatures

Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is a multifunctional raw material with a wide spectrum of applications. A huge interest in hemp has arisen in the food industry comparatively recently. Seeds and cake of hemp have the high protein content (20.00-38.70% and 27.90-40.70%, respectively), which makes them a promising raw material for production of concentrates, isolates, and hydrolysates for the food industry. Hemp cake is distinguished by the high content of fiber (17.41-60.38%) and can be used as a prebiotic component of food. In terms of the amino acid content, the amino acid composition of hemp exceeds the corresponding indicators of the reference protein recommended by WHO. The content of lysine is the only indicator, in which hemp protein is inferior to the “ideal” protein. Digestibility of protein of hulled hemp seeds is in a range from 90.8% to 97.5%, which is comparable to digestibility of casein. Digestibility of hemp isolate is 88-91%, which is 21.9% higher than that of soy protein isolate. Peptides and amino acids contained in hydrolysates of hemp protein can show the high biological activity. Hydrolysates attract interest among researchers not only because of their bioactivity but also because of their high digestibility and nutritional value. Targeted proteolysis is a tool that facilitates an improvement in the functional-technological properties of protein. Seeds and cake are a promising raw material for using in food technologies to produce vegetable oil, dietary fiber, protein preparations and functional products. The aim of this paper is to analyze the main methods for industrial hemp processing and promising directions of using protein products from waste of hemp oil production in the food industry.

Within the framework of the study of the parameters of the internal environment in relation to the level of economic sustainability, the article presents the main strategies aimed at increasing the level of integrated economic sustainability of an enterprise structure in the face of crisis situations and phenomena. These strategies include: the strategy of preserving the existing level of economic sustainability by ensuring the stability of business processes, the strategy of accelerated growth of the level of economic sustainability due to increased demand for the goods and services sold, the strategy of growth by using the "advantages" of the consequences of crisis phenomena, and a number of others. The article proves that the formation of integrated economic sustainability occurs through active interaction and mutual influence of management strategies and professional competences of economic behaviour of an entrepreneurial entity. Increasing the efficiency of this complementary organisational process contributes to increasing the level of sustainability and the ability to ensure stable and balanced functioning of the business structure in the face of crisis phenomena of a completely different nature and impact. Objective. A comprehensive study and further systematic development of the theory and methodology of strategic management of economic sustainability of business structures in the context of developing corporate strategies is timely and relevant. Methodology. The methodological basis of the study was formed by the provisions of the systemic approach and analysis, a synergistic approach to assessing the essence of sustainability as a separate scientific category, and a process approach in the context of developing methodological provisions for ensuring the integrated economic sustainability of business structures. Practical implications. The competencies of economic behaviour of business entities described and analysed above can be correlated both with the peculiarities of doing business in a stable market system and with the impact of crisis phenomena (by analogy with the first methodological approach to assessing the integrated economic sustainability of an enterprise structure). Value/Originality. The article identifies and characterises key directions of the state policy aimed at ensuring economic sustainability of entrepreneurial structures, including in the context of the current crisis.
