Here we report an ensemble study of 214 A- and F-type stars observed by \textit{Kepler}, exhibiting the so-called \textit{hump and spike} periodic signal, explained by Rossby modes (r~modes) -- the \textit{hump} -- and magnetic stellar spots or overstable convective (OsC) modes -- the \textit{spike} -- respectively. We determine the power confined in the non-resolved hump features and find additional gravity~modes (g~modes) humps always occurring at higher frequencies than the spike. Furthermore, we derive projected rotational velocities from FIES, SONG and HERMES spectra for 28 stars and the stellar inclination angle for 89 stars. We find a strong correlation between the spike amplitude and the power in the r and g~modes, which suggests that both types of oscillations are mechanically excited by either stellar spots or OsC modes. Our analysis suggests that stars with a higher power in $m=1$ r~modes humps are more likely to also exhibit humps at higher azimuthal orders ($m$ = 2, 3, or 4). Interestingly, all stars that show g~modes humps are hotter and more luminous than the observed red edge of the $\delta$ Scuti instability strip, suggesting that either magnetic fields or convection in the outer layers could play an important role., Comment: 18 pages, 19 figures

Fundamental stellar parameters such as mass and radius are some of the most important building blocks in astronomy, both when it comes to understanding the star itself and when deriving the properties of any exoplanet(s) they may host. Asteroseismology of solar-like oscillations allows us to determine these parameters with high precision. We investigate the solar-like oscillations of the red-giant-branch star $\gamma$ Cep A, which harbours a giant planet on a wide orbit. We did this by utilising both ground-based radial velocities from the SONG network and space-borne photometry from the NASA TESS mission. From the radial velocities and photometric observations, we created a combined power spectrum, which we used in an asteroseismic analysis to extract individual frequencies. We clearly identify several radial and quadrupole modes as well as multiple mixed, dipole modes. We used these frequencies along with spectroscopic and astrometric constraints to model the star, and we find a mass of $1.27^{+0.05}_{-0.07}$ M$_\odot$, a radius of $4.74^{+0.07}_{-0.08}$ R$_\odot$, and an age of $5.7^{+0.8}_{-0.9}$ Gyr. We then used the mass of $\gamma$ Cep A and our SONG radial velocities to derive masses for $\gamma$ Cep B and $\gamma$ Cep Ab of $0.328^{+0.009}_{-0.012}$ M$_\odot$ and $6.6^{+2.3}_{-2.8}$ M$_{\rm Jup}$, respectively., Comment: 17 pages, 13 figures, accepted for publication in A&A

We present a detailed analysis of an eclipsing double-lined binary FX UMa based on TESS photometry and newly acquired spectroscopic observations. The radial velocities and atmospheric parameters for each component star are obtained from the SONG high-resolution spectra. Combined with the radial-velocity measurements, our light-curve modeling yields absolute masses and radii of the two components. The Fourier amplitude spectrum of the residual light curve reveals a total of 103 frequencies with signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) > 4, including 12 independent frequencies, 17 multiples of the orbital frequency (Nforb), and 74 combination frequencies. Ten Nforb peaks with S/N > 10 have very high amplitudes and are likely due to tidally excited oscillations (TEOs). The remaining Nforb peaks (4 < S/N < 10) may be originated from the imperfect removal, or they are actually real TEOs. Four anharmonic frequencies can pair up and sum to give exact harmonics of the orbital frequency, suggesting the existence of non-linear tidal processes in the eccentric binary system FX UMa. We present an algorithm for computing the so-called Beer-index of a polygon $P$ in $O(n^2)$ time, where $n$ is the number of corners. The polygon $P$ may have holes. The Beer-index is the probability that two points chosen independently and uniformly at random in $P$ can see each other. Given a finite set $M$ of $m$ points in a simple polygon $P$, we also show how the number of pairs in $M$ that see each other can be computed in $O(n\log n+m^{4/3}\log^\alpha m\log n)$ time, where $\alpha<1.78$ is a constant. We likewise study the problem of computing the expected geodesic distance between two points chosen independently and uniformly at random in a simple polygon $P$. We show how the expected $L_1$-distance can be computed in optimal $O(n)$ time by a conceptually very simple algorithm. We then describe an algorithm that outputs a closed-form expression for the expected $L_2$-distance in $O(n^2)$ time., Comment: 29 pages, 17 figures. The GOLF instrument on board SoHO has been in operation for almost 25 years but aging of the instrument has now strongly affected its performance, especially in the low-frequency p-mode region. At the end of the SoHO mission, the ground-based network BiSON will remain the only facility able to perform Sun-integrated helioseismic observations. Therefore, we want to assess the helioseismic performances of an \'echelle spectrograph like SONG. Indeed, the high precision of such an instrument and the quality of the data acquired for asteroseismic purpose calls for an evaluation of the instrument ability to perform global radial-velocity measurements of the solar disk. Data acquired during the Solar-SONG 2018 observation campaign at the Teide Observatory are used to study mid- and low-frequency p modes. A Solar-SONG time series of 30-day duration is reduced with a combination of the traditional IDL iSONG pipeline and a new Python pipeline described in this paper. A mode fitting method built around a Bayesian approach is then performed on the Solar-SONG and contemporaneous GOLF, BiSON, and HMI data. For this contemporaneous time series, Solar-SONG is able to characterise p modes at a lower frequency than BiSON and GOLF (1750{\mu}Hz against 1946 and 2157 {\mu}Hz respectively), while for HMI it is possible to characterise a mode at 1686 {\mu}Hz. The decrease of GOLF sensitivity is then evaluated through the evolution of its low-frequency p-mode characterisation abilities over the years. [abridged], Comment: 24 pages, 17 figures. Given an undirected $n$-vertex planar graph $G=(V,E,\omega)$ with non-negative edge weight function $\omega:E\rightarrow \mathbb R$ and given an assigned label to each vertex, a vertex-labeled distance oracle is a data structure which for any query consisting of a vertex $u$ and a label $\lambda$ reports the shortest path distance from $u$ to the nearest vertex with label $\lambda$. We show that if there is a distance oracle for undirected $n$-vertex planar graphs with non-negative edge weights using $s(n)$ space and with query time $q(n)$, then there is a vertex-labeled distance oracle with $\tilde{O}(s(n))$ space and $\tilde{O}(q(n))$ query time. Using the state-of-the-art distance oracle of Long and Pettie, our construction produces a vertex-labeled distance oracle using $n^{1+o(1)}$ space and query time $\tilde O(1)$ at one extreme, $\tilde O(n)$ space and $n^{o(1)}$ query time at the other extreme, as well as such oracles for the full tradeoff between space and query time obtained in their paper. We present the discovery of a highly irradiated and moderately inflated ultra-hot Jupiter, TOI-1431b/MASCARA-5b (HD 201033b), first detected by NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite mission (TESS) and the Multi-site All-Sky CAmeRA (MASCARA). The signal was established to be of planetary origin through radial velocity measurements obtained using SONG, SOPHIE, FIES, NRES, and EXPRES, which show a reflex motion of $K=294.1\pm1.1$ m s$^{-1}$. A joint analysis of the TESS and ground-based photometry and radial velocity measurements reveals that TOI-1431b has a mass of $M_{p}=3.12\pm0.18$ $\rm{M_J}$ ($990\pm60$ M$_{\oplus}$), an inflated radius of $R_{p}=1.49\pm0.05$ $\rm{R_J}$ ($16.7\pm0.6$ R$_{\oplus}$), and an orbital period of $P=2.650237\pm0.000003$ d. Analysis of the spectral energy distribution of the host star reveals that the planet orbits a bright ($\mathrm{V}=8.049$ mag) and young ($0.29^{+0.32}_{-0.19}$ Gyr) Am type star with $T_{\rm eff}=7690^{+400}_{-250}$ $\rm{K}$, resulting in a highly irradiated planet with an incident flux of $\langle F \rangle=7.24^{+0.68}_{-0.64}\times$10$^9$ erg s$^{-1}$ cm$^{-2}$ ($5300^{+500}_{-470}\mathrm{S_{\oplus}}$) and an equilibrium temperature of $T_{eq}=2370\pm70$ K. TESS photometry also reveals a secondary eclipse with a depth of $127^{+4}_{-5}$ppm as well as the full phase curve of the planet's thermal emission in the red-optical. This has allowed us to measure the dayside and nightside temperature of its atmosphere as $T_\mathrm{day}=3004\pm64$ K and $T_\mathrm{night}=2583\pm63$ K, the second hottest measured nightside temperature. Using the Hamilton Echelle Spectrograph at Lick Observatory, we have obtained precise radial velocities (RVs) of a sample of 373 G- and K-giant stars over more than 12 years, leading to the discovery of several single and multiple planetary systems. The RVs of the long-period (~53 years) spectroscopic binary $\epsilon$ Cyg (HIP 102488) are found to exhibit additional regular variations with a much shorter period (~291 days). We intend to improve the orbital solution of the $\epsilon$ Cyg system and attempt to identify the cause of the nearly periodic shorter period variations, which might be due to an additional substellar companion. We used precise RV measurements of the K-giant star $\epsilon$ Cyg from Lick Observatory, in combination with a large set of RVs collected more recently with the SONG telescope, as well as archival data sets. Our Keplerian model to the RVs characterizes the orbit of the spectroscopic binary to higher precision than achieved previously, resulting in a semi-major axis of $a = 15.8 \mathrm{AU}$, an eccentricity of $e = 0.93$, and a minimum mass of the secondary of $m \sin i = 0.265 M_\odot$. Additional short-period RV variations closely resemble the signal of a Jupiter-mass planet orbiting the evolved primary component with a period of $291 \mathrm{d}$, but the period and amplitude of the putative orbit change strongly over time. Furthermore, in our stability analysis of the system, no stable orbits could be found in a large region around the best fit. Both of these findings deem a planetary cause of the RV variations unlikely. Most of the investigated alternative scenarios, such as an hierarchical triple or stellar spots, also fail to explain the observed variability convincingly. Eclipsing binary stars allow derivation of accurate and precise masses and radii. When they reside in star clusters, properties of even higher precision, along with additional information, can be extracted. Asteroseismology of solar-like oscillations offers similar possibilities for single stars. We improve the previously established properties of the Hyades eclipsing binary HD27130 and re-assess the asteroseismic properties of the giant star $\epsilon$ Tau. The physical properties of these members of the Hyades are then used to constrain the helium content and age of the cluster. New multi-colour light curves were combined with multi-epoch radial velocities to yield masses and radii of HD27130. $T_{\rm eff}$ was derived from spectroscopy and photometry, and verified using the Gaia parallax. We estimate the cluster age from re-evaluated asteroseismic properties of $\epsilon$ Tau while using HD27130 to constrain the helium content. The masses and radii, and $T_{\rm eff}$ of HD 27130 were found to be $M=1.0245\pm0.0024 M_{\odot}$, $R=0.9226\pm0.015 R_{\odot}$, $T_{\rm eff}=5650\pm50$ K for the primary, and $M=0.7426\pm0.0016 M_{\odot}$, $R=0.7388\pm0.026 R_{\odot}$, $T_{\rm eff}=4300\pm100$ K for the secondary component. Our re-evaluation of $\epsilon$ Tau suggests that the previous literature estimates are trustworthy, and that the Hipparcos parallax is more reliable than the Gaia DR2 parallax. The helium content of HD27130 and thus of the Hyades is found to be $Y=0.27$ but with significant model dependence. Correlations with the adopted metallicity results in a robust helium enrichment law with $\frac{\Delta Y}{\Delta Z}$ close to 1.2. We estimate the age of the Hyades to be 0.9 $\pm$ 0.1 (stat) $\pm$ 0.1 (sys) Gyr in slight tension with recent age estimates based on the cluster white dwarfs. Given a directed graph $G = (V,E)$, undergoing an online sequence of edge deletions with $m$ edges in the initial version of $G$ and $n = |V|$, we consider the problem of maintaining all-pairs shortest paths (APSP) in $G$. Whilst this problem has been studied in a long line of research [ACM'81, FOCS'99, FOCS'01, STOC'02, STOC'03, SWAT'04, STOC'13] and the problem of $(1+\epsilon)$-approximate, weighted APSP was solved to near-optimal update time $\tilde{O}(mn)$ by Bernstein [STOC'13], the problem has mainly been studied in the context of oblivious adversaries, which assumes that the adversary fixes the update sequence before the algorithm is started. In this paper, we make significant progress on the problem in the setting where the adversary is adaptive, i.e. can base the update sequence on the output of the data structure queries. We present three new data structures that fit different settings: We first present a deterministic data structure that maintains exact distances with total update time $\tilde{O}(n^3)$. We also present a deterministic data structure that maintains $(1+\epsilon)$-approximate distance estimates with total update time $\tilde O(\sqrt{m} n^2/\epsilon)$ which for sparse graphs is $\tilde O(n^{2+1/2}/\epsilon)$. Finally, we present a randomized $(1+\epsilon)$-approximate data structure which works against an adaptive adversary; its total update time is $\tilde O(m^{2/3}n^{5/3} + n^{8/3}/(m^{1/3}\epsilon^2))$ which for sparse graphs is $\tilde O(n^{2+1/3})$. Our exact data structure matches the total update time of the best randomized data structure by Baswana et al. [STOC'02] and maintains the distance matrix in near-optimal time. Our approximate data structures improve upon the best data structures against an adaptive adversary which have $\tilde{O}(mn^2)$ total update time [JACM'81, STOC'03].

Given an undirected, unweighted planar graph $G$ with $n$ vertices, we present a truly subquadratic size distance oracle for reporting exact shortest-path distances between any pair of vertices of $G$ in constant time. For any $\varepsilon > 0$, our distance oracle takes up $O(n^{5/3+\varepsilon})$ space and is capable of answering shortest-path distance queries exactly for any pair of vertices of $G$ in worst-case time $O(\log (1/\varepsilon))$. Previously no truly sub-quadratic size distance oracles with constant query time for answering exact all-pairs shortest paths distance queries existed.

The study of planet occurrence as a function of stellar mass is important for a better understanding of planet formation. Estimating stellar mass, especially in the red giant regime, is difficult. In particular, stellar masses of a sample of evolved planet-hosting stars based on spectroscopy and grid-based modelling have been put to question over the past decade with claims they were overestimated. Although efforts have been made in the past to reconcile this dispute using asteroseismology, results were inconclusive. In an attempt to resolve this controversy, we study four more evolved planet-hosting stars in this paper using asteroseismology, and we revisit previous results to make an informed study of the whole ensemble in a self-consistent way. For the four new stars, we measure their masses by locating their characteristic oscillation frequency, $\mathrm{\nu}_{\mathrm{max}}$, from their radial velocity time series observed by SONG. For two stars, we are also able to measure the large frequency separation, $\mathrm{\Delta\nu}$, helped by extended SONG single-site and dual-site observations and new TESS observations. We establish the robustness of the $\mathrm{\nu}_{\mathrm{max}}$-only-based results by determining the stellar mass from $\mathrm{\Delta\nu}$, and from both $\mathrm{\Delta\nu}$ and $\mathrm{\nu}_{\mathrm{max}}$. We then compare the seismic masses of the full ensemble of 16 stars with the spectroscopic masses from three different literature sources. We find an offset between the seismic and spectroscopic mass scales that is mass-dependent, suggesting that the previously claimed overestimation of spectroscopic masses only affects stars more massive than about 1.6 M$_\mathrm{\odot}$., Comment: 13 pages, 12 figures, Accepted for publication in the Main Journal of MNRAS

We report the discovery of a second planet orbiting the K giant star 7 CMa based on 166 high-precision radial velocities obtained with Lick, HARPS, UCLES and SONG. The periodogram analysis reveals two periodic signals of approximately 745 and 980 d, associated to planetary companions. A double-Keplerian orbital fit of the data reveals two Jupiter-like planets with minimum masses $m_b\sin i \sim 1.9 \,\mathrm{M_{J}}$ and $m_c\sin i \sim 0.9 \,\mathrm{M_{J}}$, orbiting at semi-major axes of $a_b \sim 1.75\,\mathrm{au}$ and $a_c \sim 2.15\,\mathrm{au}$, respectively. Given the small orbital separation and the large minimum masses of the planets close encounters may occur within the time baseline of the observations, thus, a more accurate N-body dynamical modeling of the available data is performed. The dynamical best-fit solution leads to collision of the planets and we explore the long-term stable configuration of the system in a Bayesian framework, confirming that 13% of the posterior samples are stable for at least 10 Myr. The result from the stability analysis indicates that the two-planets are trapped in a low-eccentricity 4:3 mean-motion resonance. This is only the third discovered system to be inside a 4:3 resonance, making it very valuable for planet formation and orbital evolution models., Comment: Accepted in A&A

We report the discovery of MASCARA-3b, a hot Jupiter orbiting its bright (V = 8.33) late F-type host every $5.55149\pm 0.00001$ days in an almost circular orbit ($e = 0.050^{+0.020}_{-0.017}$). This is the fourth exoplanet discovered with the Multi-site All-Sky CAmeRA (MASCARA), and the first of these that orbits a late-type star. Follow-up spectroscopic measurements were obtained in and out of transit with the Hertzsprung SONG telescope. Combining the MASCARA photometry and SONG radial velocities reveals a radius and mass of $1.36\pm 0.05$ $R_{\text{Jup}}$ and $4.2\pm 0.2$ $M_{\text{Jup}}$. In addition, SONG spectroscopic transit observations were obtained on two separate nights. From analyzing the mean out-of-transit broadening function, we obtain $v\sin i_{\star} = 20.4\pm 0.4$ km s$^{-1}$. In addition, investigating the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect, as observed in the distortion of the stellar lines directly and through velocity anomalies, we find the projected obliquity to be $\lambda = 1.2^{+8.2}_{-7.4}$ deg, which is consistent with alignment., Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, 6 tables; accepted in A&A. Context. We present the first high-cadence multi-wavelength radial-velocity observations of the Sun-as-a-star, carried out during 57 consecutive days using the stellar \'echelle spectrograph at the Hertzsprung SONG Telescope operating at the Teide Observatory. Aims. The aim was to produce a high-quality data set and reference values for the global helioseismic parameters {\nu_{max}}, and {\Delta \nu} of the solar p-modes using the SONG instrument. The obtained data set or the inferred values should then be used when the scaling relations are applied to other stars showing solar-like oscillations which are observed with SONG or similar instruments. Methods. We used different approaches to analyse the power spectrum of the time series to determine {\nu_{max}}; simple Gaussian fitting and heavy smoothing of the power spectrum. {\Delta\nu} was determined using the method of autocorrelation of the power spectrum. The amplitude per radial mode was determined using the method described in Kjeldsen et al. (2008). Results. We found the following values for the solar oscillations using the SONG spectrograph: {\nu_{max}} = 3141 {\pm} 12 {\mu}Hz, {\Delta\nu} = 134.98 {\pm} 0.04 {\mu}Hz and an average amplitude of the strongest radial modes of 16.6 {\pm} 0.4 cm/s. We present a description of "the Conductor", an automated software package which handles all observations at the first Stellar Observations Network Group (SONG) node telescope at the Teide Observatory on the island of Tenerife. The idea was to provide a complete description on the automated procedures for target selection and execution of observations and to demonstrate how the SONG robotic telescope is being operated. The Conductor is a software package developed in Python and running on a server in Aarhus which makes use of a large set of database tables through which it communicates with the SONG nodes. Based on a number of selection criteria the Conductor is able to identify the optimum target to be observed at any given moment taking into account local weather conditions and technical constraints. The Conductor has made it possible for the Hertzsprung SONG telescope to become a highly sophisticated and efficient robotic telescopic facility without human interaction. It can handle everything from Principal Investigators submitting their proposed targets with specific settings to the data being available for download after the observations has been carried out. At present, and thanks to the availability of the Conductor, the first node of the SONG project can be considered a world leading robotic telescope with respect to needed human interactions, efficiency and flexibility in observing strategy., Comment: 11 pages (incl. 4 pages Appendices), 7 figures

We present the discovery of TOI-197.01, the first transiting planet identified by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) for which asteroseismology of the host star is possible. TOI-197 (HIP116158) is a bright (V=8.2 mag), spectroscopically classified subgiant which oscillates with an average frequency of about 430 muHz and displays a clear signature of mixed modes. The oscillation amplitude confirms that the redder TESS bandpass compared to Kepler has a small effect on the oscillations, supporting the expected yield of thousands of solar-like oscillators with TESS 2-minute cadence observations. Asteroseismic modeling yields a robust determination of the host star radius (2.943+/-0.064 Rsun), mass (1.212 +/- 0.074 Msun) and age (4.9+/-1.1 Gyr), and demonstrates that it has just started ascending the red-giant branch. Combining asteroseismology with transit modeling and radial-velocity observations, we show that the planet is a "hot Saturn" (9.17+/-0.33 Rearth) with an orbital period of ~14.3 days, irradiance of 343+/-24 Fearth, moderate mass (60.5 +/- 5.7 Mearth) and density (0.431+/-0.062 gcc). The properties of TOI-197.01 show that the host-star metallicity - planet mass correlation found in sub-Saturns (4-8 Rearth) does not extend to larger radii, indicating that planets in the transition between sub-Saturns and Jupiters follow a relatively narrow range of densities. With a density measured to ~15%, TOI-197.01 is one of the best characterized Saturn-sized planets to date, augmenting the small number of known transiting planets around evolved stars and demonstrating the power of TESS to characterize exoplanets and their host stars using asteroseismology., Comment: 12 pages (excluding author list and references), 9 figures, 4 tables, accepted for publication in AJ. The Stellar Observation Network Group (SONG) is an initiative to build a worldwide network of 1m telescopes with highprecision radial-velocity spectrographs. Here we analyse the first radial-velocity time series of a red-giant star measured by the SONG telescope at Tenerife. The asteroseismic results demonstrate a major increase in the achievable precision of the parameters for redgiant stars obtainable from ground-based observations. Reliable tests of the validity of these results are needed, however, before the accuracy of the parameters can be trusted. We analyse the first SONG time series for the star 46 LMi, which has a precise parallax and an angular diameter measured from interferometry, and therefore a good determination of the stellar radius. We use asteroseismic scaling relations to obtain an accurate mass, and modelling to determine the age. A 55-day time series of high-resolution, high S/N spectra were obtained with the first SONG telescope. We derive the asteroseismic parameters by analysing the power spectrum. To give a best guess on the large separation of modes in the power spectrum, we have applied a new method which uses the scaling of Kepler red-giant stars to 46 LMi. Several methods have been applied: classical estimates, seismic methods using the observed time series, and model calculations to derive the fundamental parameters of 46 LMi. Parameters determined using the different methods are consistent within the uncertainties. We find the following values for the mass M (scaling), radius R (classical), age (modelling), and surface gravity (combining mass and radius): M = 1.09 +- 0.04Msun, R = 7.95 +- 0.11 Rsun, age t = 8.2 +- 1.9Gy, and log g = 2.674 +- 0.013., Comment: 7 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables

The nearby red giant Aldebaran is known to host a gas giant planetary companion from decades of ground-based spectroscopic radial velocity measurements. Using Gaussian Process-based Continuous Auto-Regressive Moving Average (CARMA) models, we show that these historic data also contain evidence of acoustic oscillations in the star itself, and verify this result with further dedicated ground-based spectroscopy and space-based photometry with the Kepler Space Telescope. From the frequency of these oscillations we determine the mass of Aldebaran to be $1.16 \pm 0.07 \, M_\odot$, and note that this implies its planet will have been subject to insolation comparable to the Earth for some of the star's main sequence lifetime. Despite the important advances in space asteroseismology during the last decade, the early phases of evolution of stars with masses above $\sim$15 M$_{\odot}$ have been only vaguely explored up to now. Our goal is to detect, analyze and interpret variability in the early-B type supergiant HD\,2905 using long-term, ground based, high resolution spectroscopy. We gather a total of 1141 high-resolution spectra covering some 2900 days. We complement these observations with the $Hipparcos$ light curve, which includes 160 data points obtained during a time span of $\sim$1200 days. We investigate spectroscopic variability of up to 12 diagnostic lines by using the zero and first moments of the line profiles. We perform a frequency analysis of both the spectroscopic and photometric dataset. HD\,2905 is a spectroscopic variable with peak-to-peak amplitudes in the zero and first moments of the photospheric lines of up to 15\% and 30 \kms, respectively. The amplitude of the line-profile variability is correlated with the line formation depth in the photosphere and wind. All investigated lines present complex temporal behavior indicative of multi-periodic variability with timescales of a few days to several weeks. The Scargle periodograms of the {\it Hipparcos\} light curve and the first moment of purely photospheric lines reveal a low-frequency amplitude excess and a clear dominant frequency at $\sim$0.37 d$^{-1}$. In the spectroscopy, several additional frequencies are present in the range 0.1 - 0.4 d$^{-1}$. These may be associated with heat-driven gravity modes, convectively-driven gravity waves, or sub-surface convective motions. Additional frequencies are detected below 0.1 d$^{-1}$.
