25. Interface Engineering with Formamidinium Salts for Improving Ambient-Processed Inverted CsPbI3Photovoltaic Performance: Intermediate- vs Post-Treatment

Abstract

Inverted all-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted increasing attention owing to excellent thermal stability, easy fabrication, and adaptable application as top cell in tandem solar cells. Apart from efficiency, ambient processing is desirable for practical production. To avoid water invasion in ambient air, surface engineering for perovskites is reported as a valid approach. However, most were performed by post-treatment, which hardly regulates the formation process of perovskite crystals. This work demonstrates a simple but effective surface intermediate-treatment strategy to stabilize CsPbI3perovskites fabricated in ambient air and compares the different effects yielded on the inverted PSCs. By using formamidinium (FA) salts for intermediate-treatment, the strong interaction between FA cation and [PbI6]4–octahedron improves the moisture resistance, and compared with the post-treatment strategy, the accelerated crystallization rate and the shortened exposure time to moisture reduce the devastation by water during film fabrication process further. Moreover, the greatly passivated defects and optimized energy level matching between perovskite and PCBM suppress the nonradiative recombination. Resultantly, the optimized device shows enhanced efficiency from 11.39% to 15.45%, and long-term stability is improved, with 97.6% efficiency remaining after storage for 1600 h. Therefore, we believe that this work can provide a promising guideline for fabricating all-inorganic inverted PSCs in a low-cost manufacturing scheme.

Abstract

The fabrication of blue perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) in air conditions promises to liberate the manipulation procedures from the protection of inert atmosphere in the glovebox, which will remarkably promote the commercialization proceeding of perovskite‐based optoelectronic devices in display applications. However, achieving air‐processed blue PeLEDs in the interference of moisture meets great challenges in crystallization kinetics control. Herein, it is proposed that substrate‐adsorbed moisture dominates the perovskite crystallization kinetics during the fabrication in air, and the limited moisture from nonhygroscopic substrate inhibits the nucleation of the large‐n phase and allows the growth of the small‐n phase, thus yielding blue quasi‐2D perovskite films in a wide moisture range of 10–50% relative humidity. Then, air‐processed blue PeLEDs are successfully achieved for the first time, showing a brightness of 968 cd m−2, external quantum efficiency of 2.54% at stable peak emission of 483 nm, as well as an outstanding operating stability of 546 s at a peak brightness of 45 cd m−2, which are favorably competitive with PeLEDs fabricated in the glovebox. This work provides a guideline for air‐processed blue PeLEDs fabrication, which paves the way for air‐processed PeLEDs in further application of commercialization display. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

38. Coral-like Polypyrrole/LiFe5O8/MoS2 Nanocomposites for High-Efficiency Microwave Absorbers.

Abstract

Herein, based on the good electrical properties of polypyrrole (PPy), it is compounded with raspberry-like LiFe5O8 via in situ polymerization and then compounded with molybdenum disulfide via a hydrothermal reaction to obtain the self-assembled coral-like PPy/LiFe5O8/MoS2 nanocomposites. The hierarchical microstructure greatly improves the electromagnetic wave absorption property of the nanocomposites. The nanosheets' microstructure of molybdenum disulfide enhances the interface polarization and causes multiple relaxation processes of the nanocomposites, thereby improving the electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the composite material. The minimum reflection loss of the samples with a mass ratio of 6:1 between MoS2 and PPy/LiFe5O8 nanocomposites achieved −73.25 dB at 3.07 mm and then an effective absorption bandwidth of 7.20 GHz at 3.14 mm. The combination of conductive polymer and LiFe5O8 with molybdenum disulfide could effectively increase the dielectric loss of the nanocomposites, further improving the electromagnetic wave absorption performance, meeting the existing ideal requirements for electromagnetic wave absorption materials. Therefore, PPy/LiFe5O8/MoS2 nanocomposites could be the promising candidates for high-efficiency microwave absorbers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

50. Understanding the stabilizing effect of K+on the sodium manganese hexacyanoferrate for sodium-ion batteries

Abstract

The outstanding cycling performance of sodium manganese hexacyanoferrate (NaMnHCF) was obtained by applying NaPF6/KPF6mixed salt solution as an electrolyte. NaMnHCF and KMnHCF are composited at the nanoscale to form a high-quality NaMnHCF/KMnHCF composite, enabling an exceptional cycling performance with more than 90% capacity retention after 500 cycles. The enhanced cycling performance is attributed to the high-quality NaMnHCF/KMnHCF composition and the pillar effect of KMnHCF. Furthermore, the superlattice of NaKMnHCF was also discovered after cycling in the mixed electrolyte, which may be partly responsible for the acquired stability. The crystal structure of the cathode material remains stable during cycling, and the cathode-electrolyte interface is more resistant to corrosion in the NaPF6/KPF6mixed electrolyte. Our work reports an effective strategy to achieve high-quality NaMnHCF/KMnHCF composites and articulates the mechanism of the stabilizing effect.
