Specifically, the right common and internal iliac veins were dilated and the uterine tumours extended into these veins (Figure 1(a)). At 3 years following surgery, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed IVL with multiple irregular lobular tumours originating from the uterus. Abstract

To report the rare case of gestational primary ovarian choriocarcinoma coexistent with intrauterine pregnancy, successfully treated with surgery and systemic chemotherapy. We also describe the utility of short tandem repeat (STR) genotyping in the diagnosis of choriocarcinoma.
