Abstract

In this paper, we obtain exact solutions of the following rational difference equation xn+1= xnxn-2xn-4/xn-1xn-3(an+bnxnxn-2xn-4 where an and bn are random real sequences, by using the technique of Lie symmetry analysis. Moreover, we discuss the periodic nature and behavior of solutions for some special cases. This work is a generalization of some works by Elsayed and Ibrahim in the literature. Abstract

In this paper, closed forms of the sum formulas ∑k=1n GWk², ∑k=1n GWk+2GWk and ∑k=1n GWk+1GWk for the squares of Gaussian generalized Tribonacci numbers are presented. As special cases, we give sum formulas of Gaussian Tribonacci, Gaussian Tribonacci-Lucas, Gaussian Padovan, Gaussian Perrin, Gaussian Narayana and some other third order linear recurrence sequences. All the summing formulas of well known recurrence sequences are linear except the cases Gaussian Pell-Padovan and Gaussian Padovan-Perrin. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
