We present recent results on the structure of the one-valence-particle $^{41}$Ca and $^{49}$Ca, and one-valence-hole $^{47}$Ca, nuclei. The isotopes of interest were populated via the cold-neutron capture reactions $^{40}$Ca(n,$\gamma$), $^{48}$Ca(n,$\gamma$) and $^{46}$Ca(n,$\gamma$), respectively. The experiments were performed at the Institut Laue-Langevin, within the EXILL campaign, which employed a large array of HPGe detectors. The $\gamma$ decay and level schemes of these nuclei were investigated by $\gamma$-ray coincidence relationships, leading to the identification of 41, 10, and 6 new transitions in $^{41}$Ca, $^{47}$Ca, and $^{49}$Ca, respectively. Branching ratios and intensities were extracted for the $\gamma$ decay from each state, and $\gamma$-ray angular correlations were performed to establish a number of transition multipolarities and mixing ratios, thus helping in the spin assignment of the states. The experimental findings are discussed along with microscopic, self-consistent beyond-mean-field calculations performed with the Hybrid Configuration Mixing model, based on a Skyrme SkX Hamiltonian. The latter suggests that a fraction of the low-spin states of the $^{41}$Ca, $^{49}$Ca, and $^{47}$Ca nuclei is characterized by the coexistence of either 2p-1h and 1p-2h excitations, or couplings between single-particle/hole degrees of freedom and collective vibrations (phonons) of the doubly-magic "core".

The g factor of the $$12^+$$ K-isomer in $$^{174}$$ W has been measured by means of the time-differential perturbed angular distribution technique as $$g(12^+)=+0.304(11)$$ . In addition, the half-life of the isomer has been remeasured as $$T_{1/2}(12^+)=124(8)$$ ns, in agreement with the literature value and confirming the anomalous hindrance F of the E2 transition to the $$10^+$$ level of the ground state band with respect to the $$\gamma $$ -tunnelling model prediction. The measured g factor has been compared with estimates based on experimental g factors from odd-mass isotopes in the same mass region and with Nilsson model calculations. The results establish unique features of the $$12^+$$ K-isomer in $$^{174}$$ W, which can possess a non-pure intrinsic configuration and/or can be characterised by values of the intrinsic quadrupole moment $$Q_0$$ and the rotational g factor $$g_R$$ significantly different with respect to the majority of K-isomers at mass $$A \approx 180$$ .

The new facility, Extreme Light Infrastructure – Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP), is a combined laser-gamma nuclear physics research facility currently undergoing its final implementation stages in Măgurele near Bucharest, Romania. It already hosts two fully-operational 10 PW laser arms and, by 2023, it will also house a γ-beam system based on laser Compton backscattering, capable of delivering a high-brilliance, low-energy beam at E γ ≲ 19.5 MeV. Owing to this unique laser-gamma instrumentation combination, several types of experiments will be possible at ELI-NP, including high precision nuclear resonance fluorescence (NRF) experiments. In this case, the main γ-beam detection system for performing NRF studies at ELI-NP is represented by the ELI Array of DEtectors (ELIADE), featuring eight high-purity germanium (HPGe) segmented clover detectors. The current work presents the characteristics of two of the ELIADE detectors, including their photopeak detection efficiency, energy resolution, and peak-to-total ratio measured using γ-ray sources, as well as the timing performance obtained via in-beam measurements. For these latter detector tests, 130La was populated via the fusion evaporation reaction 121Sb(12C,3n)130La using a beam energy of 53 MeV at the Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH), also located in Măgurele. Herein, we report on the results of the ^130La linear polarization measurements taken using the ELIADE detectors as Compton polarimeters. The results obtained from the in-beam experiment were compared to several already published works and we present new information on the transition multipolarity in 130La.

A lifetime measurement of the 19/2 state in Pb has been performed using the Recoil Distance Doppler-Shift (RDDS) method. The nuclei of interest were produced in multi-nucleon transfer reactions induced by a Pb beam impinging on a Mo enriched target. The beam-like nuclei were detected and identified in terms of their atomic mass number in the VAMOS++ spectrometer while the prompt γ rays were detected by the AGATA tracking array. The measured large reduced transition probability B(E3,19/2→13/2)=40(8) W.u. is the first indication of the octupole phonon at high spin in Pb. An analysis in terms of a particle-octupole-vibration coupling model indicates that the measured B(E3) value in Pb is compatible with the contributions from single-phonon and single particle E3 as well as E3 strength arising from the double-octupole-phonon 6 state, all adding coherently. A crucial aspect of the coupling model, namely the strong mixing between single-hole and the phonon-hole states, is confirmed in a realistic shell-model calculation.

In this contribution, we report some recent progress in our understanding of particle-vibration coupling (PVC) in nuclei. In particular, we first review the formal development that has allowed some of us to deduce the PVC equations within the Green’s functionmethod. Applications are then discussed, both in the case of single-particle states and giant resonances in magic nuclei. We also present a new model that extends the PVC ansatz and is meant to account for the complete low-lying spectra of odd nuclei.

The gamma-ray decay of excited states of the one-valence-proton nucleus Sb-133 has been studied using cold-neutron induced fission of U-235 and Pu-241 targets, during the EXILL campaign at the ILL reactor in Grenoble. By using a highly efficient HPGe array, coincidences between gamma-rays prompt with the fission event and those delayed up to several tens of microseconds were investigated, allowing to observe, for the first time, high-spin excited states above the 16.6 mu s isomer. Lifetimes analysis, performed by fast-timing techniques with LaBr3(Ce) scintillators, revealed a difference of almost two orders of magnitude in B(M1) strength for transitions between positive-parity medium-spin yrast states. The data are interpreted by a newly developed microscopic model which takes into account couplings between core excitations (both collective and non-collective) of the doubly magic nucleus Sn-132 and the valence proton, using Skyrme effective interaction in a consistent way. An in-beam test of two pixel-type silicon detectors of the TRACE detector project has been performed at Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro (Italy). The aim was to investigate the lowest kinetic energy values at which isotopic identification of heavy-ion reactions products with mass $ A\sim 10$ is possible, by using a single-layer silicon detector. Two separate read-out chains, analog and digital, were used, and the Pulse Shape Analysis technique was employed to obtain the particle identification matrices for the digitally processed data. The results confirmed the high capability of the Pulse Shape Analysis method which can be used for light ion identification, with performances similar to the analog approach. Separation in both charge and mass was obtained for Li and Be isotopes, however, the presence of a significant background from alpha particles severely limited the data analysis in the lower energy region. Due to this effect, the identification of the light products (7, 6Li isotopes) could be possible down to $ \sim 24.5$ MeV only, while the 9, 7Be isotopes were separable down to $ \sim 29$ MeV. This gives the value of $ < 4$ MeV/nucleon as the lowest kinetic energy for light products identification by using the pixel-type detectors of the TRACE project, in the present experimental conditions.

A search for shape isomers in the ^{66}Ni nucleus was performed, following old suggestions of various mean-field models and recent ones, based on state-of-the-art Monte Carlo shell model (MCSM), all considering ^{66}Ni as the lightest nuclear system with shape isomerism. By employing the two-neutron transfer reaction induced by an ^{18}O beam on a ^{64}Ni target, at the sub-Coulomb barrier energy of 39 MeV, all three lowest-excited 0^{+} states in ^{66}Ni were populated and their γ decay was observed by γ-coincidence technique. The 0^{+} states lifetimes were assessed with the plunger method, yielding for the 0_{2}^{+}, 0_{3}^{+}, and 0_{4}^{+} decay to the 2_{1}^{+} state the B(E2) values of 4.3, 0.1, and 0.2 Weisskopf units (W.u.), respectively. MCSM calculations correctly predict the existence of all three excited 0^{+} states, pointing to the oblate, spherical, and prolate nature of the consecutive excitations. In addition, they account for the hindrance of the E2 decay from the prolate 0_{4}^{+} to the spherical 2_{1}^{+} state, although overestimating its value. This result makes ^{66}Ni a unique nuclear system, apart from ^{236,238}U, in which a retarded γ transition from a 0^{+} deformed state to a spherical configuration is observed, resembling a shape-isomerlike behavior.

The isovector giant dipole resonance (IVGDR) $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ decay was measured in the compound nuclei $^{80}\mathrm{Zr}$ and $^{81}\mathrm{Rb}$ at an excitation energy of ${E}^{*}=54$ MeV. The fusion reaction $^{40}\mathrm{Ca}+^{40}\mathrm{Ca}$ at ${E}_{\mathrm{beam}}=136$ MeV was used to form the compound nucleus $^{80}\mathrm{Zr}$, while the reaction $^{37}\mathrm{Cl}+^{44}\mathrm{Ca}$ at ${E}_{\mathrm{beam}}=95$ MeV was used to form the compound nucleus $^{81}\mathrm{Rb}$ at the same excitation energy. The IVGDR parameters extracted from the analysis were compared with the ones found at higher excitation energy (${E}^{*}=83$ MeV). The comparison allows one to observe two different nuclear mechanisms: (i) the IVGDR intrinsic width remains constant with the excitation energy in the nucleus $^{81}\mathrm{Rb}$; (ii) the isospin-violating spreading width (i.e., Coulomb spreading width) remains constant with the excitation energy in the nucleus $^{80}\mathrm{Zr}$. The experimental setup used for the $\ensuremath{\gamma}$-ray detection was composed by the AGATA demonstrator array coupled to the large-volume ${\mathrm{LaBr}}_{3}$:Ce detectors of the ${\mathrm{HECTOR}}^{+}$ array.

EXILL experimental campaign; International audience; The level scheme of 96Y was significantly extended and a new 201 ns isomer was located at 1655 keV excitation energy, with spin-parity assignment of 5± or 6−. The isomer decays to spherical low-spin structure by transitions with large hindrance and is fed by a short cascade which resembles the beginning of a rotational band. This is in analogy with the feeding and decay pattern of the 4− isomer in 98Y, here confirmed, by lifetime analysis, as a bandhead of a rotational structure with sizable deformation. It is suggested that the new isomer in 96Y arises from a shape change between deformed and spherical configurations, which indicates the appearance of deformation already at N = 57 in the yttrium chain. The experimental findings for 96Y are strengthened by theoretical calculations based on the complex Excited Vampir model.

International audience; The multi-nucleon transfer reaction mechanism was used to produce and study nuclei in the vicinity of 208Pb. This mass region is a test case for the nuclear shell model. The mass identification of the fragments was performed with the large acceptance magnetic spectrometer VAMOS++ coupled to the AGATA γ-tracking array. This experiment aimed to determine both lifetimes and gyromagnetic ratios of excited states with the Cologne plunger device. The analysis indicates promising results with the possibility to determine several new lifetimes in this region.

International audience; The level scheme of the neutron-rich 94Y isotope has been extended up to the 5324 keV excitation energy. During the analysis, a structure above the previously known (5+) isomer, at 1202 keV, was extended by employing multifold gamma-ray coincidence relationships measured with the EXILL array. For some of the new states, the spin-parity assignment has been proposed on the basis of gamma angular correlations and shell-model considerations. The newly identified structure is characteristic of spherical or nearly spherical configurations and no evidence for new isomers and rotational patterns was found.

International audience; The structure of the 131Sn nucleus was studied at the Institut LaueLangevin by prompt-delayed γ-ray spectroscopy across the 0.3 µs, 23/2− isomeric state at 4670 keV, following cold-neutron-induced fission of 235U and 241Pu targets. New γ-ray transitions are observed and the results are compared with theoretical calculations performed with the Hybrid Configuration Mixing Model. The latter suggests that the majority of the states can be well-described in terms of couplings between single-hole degrees of freedom and 132Sn core excitations, pointing to a robust neutron shell closure at N = 82.

The Isovector Giant Dipole Resonance (IVGDR) was measured in 60 Zn and 62 Zn at two different excitation energies E ∗ = 47 MeV and E ∗ = 58 MeV with the goal of deducing the isospin mixing term. A fusion–evaporation reaction, with a beam of 32 S and a target of 28 Si, was used to produce 60 Zn. We also produced the compound nucleus 62 Zn using the reaction 32 S + 30 Si. This last reaction is required because, for the produced nucleus, the statistical model analysis is much less sensitive to the isospin mixing, and this allows to extract the GDR parameters and use them for isospin mixing sensitive reaction populating neighboring nucleus with N = Z. The experimental setup was composed of GALILEO array (germanium detectors) coupled to the large-volume LaBr 3 :Ce detectors for the γ-rays measuring and by two ancillary arrays, EUCLIDES and the Neutron Wall for the detection of particles and neutrons, respectively. International audience; The decay of the one-proton valence nucleus 133Sb is studied usingthe cold-neutron induced fission of 235U and 241Pu targets. The experimentis performed at the ILL reactor in Grenoble, using a highly efficient HPGearray, also coupled to fast LaBr3(Ce) scintillators. High-spin excited statesabove the 16.6 s isomer are observed, and the lifetime of the 13/2+ and15/2+ states is measured by fast-timing techniques, revealing a complexnature of the wave functions. The experimental results are well-interpretedby a newly developed microscopic model which takes into account the couplingbetween the valence proton and excitations (both collective and noncollective)of the doubly magic 132Sn core.

The multipolarity of the main transition leading to the ground state in 210Bi was investigated using the angular correlations of γ rays. The analyzed γ -coincidence data were obtained from the 209Bi(n,γ )210Bi experiment performed at Institut Laue-Langevin Grenoble at the PF1B cold-neutron facility. The EXILL (EXOGAM at the ILL) multidetector array, consisting of 16 high-purity germanium detectors, was used to detect γ transitions. The mixing ratio of the 320-keV γ ray was defined by minimizing a multivariable χ2 function constructed from the coefficients of angular correlation functions for seven pairs of strong transitions in 210Bi. As a result, the almost pure M1 multipolarity of the 320-keV γ ray was obtained, with an E2 admixture of less than 0.6% only (95% confidence limit). Based on this multipolarity the neutron-capture cross section leading to the ground state in 210Bi, that decays in turn to radiotoxic 210Po, was determined to be within the limits 21.3(9) and 21.5(9) mb. This result is important for nuclear reactor applications.

The low-spin structure of the 210Bi nucleus was investigated in the neutron capture experiment 209Bi(n,γ )210Bi performed at ILL Grenoble at the PF1B cold-neutron facility. By using the EXILL multidetector array, consisting of 46 high-purity germanium crystals, and γγ-coincidence technique, 64 primary γ rays were observed (40 new) and a total number of 70 discrete states (33 new) were located below the neutron binding energy in 210Bi. The analysis of the angular correlations of γ rays provided information about transitions multipolarities, which made it possible to confirm most of the previously known spin-parity assignments and helped establish new ones. The obtained experimental results were compared to shell-model calculations involving one-valence-proton, one-valence-neutron excitations outside the 208Pb core. It has been found that while up to the energy of ∼2 MeV each state observed in 210Bi has its calculated counterpart; at higher excitation energies some levels cannot be described by the valence particle couplings. These states may arise from couplings of valence particles to the 3− octupole phonon of the doubly magic 208Pb core and may serve as a testing ground for models which describe single particle-phonon excitations.

Recent results on the structure of 47Ca will be presented. The nucleus of interest was populated via the cold-neutron capture 46Ca(n,γ) reaction, on a rare 46Ca target, during the EXILL experimental campaign at the nuclear reactor of Institut Laue- Langevin in Grenoble. High-resolution γ-ray spectroscopy, performed with a composite array of HPGe detectors, enabled the identification of new transitions deexciting states between the neutron-capture level and the ground state. Experimental data will be compared with a novel microscopic theoretical model, currently under development, specifically designed to describe the low-lying structure of odd-mass nuclei with one valence particle/hole outside a spherical doubly-magic core, using the Skyrme effective interaction self-consistently.

The isospin mixing was deduced in the compound nucleus Zr-80 at an excitation energy of E* = 54 MeV from the gamma decay of the giant dipole resonance. The reaction Ca-40 + Ca-40 at E-beam = 136 MeV was used to form the compound nucleus in the isospin I = 0 channel, while the reaction Cl-37 + Ca-44 at E-beam = 95 MeV was used as the reference reaction. The. rays were detected with the AGATA demonstrator array coupled with LaBr3:Ce detectors. The temperature dependence of the isospin mixing was obtained and the zero-temperature value deduced. The isospin-symmetry-breaking correction delta(C) used for the Fermi superallowed transitions was extracted and found to be consistent with beta-decay data.

International audience; The low-spin structure of one-proton, one-neutron $^{210}$Bi nucleus was investigated in cold-neutron capture reaction on$^{209}$Bi. The $\gamma$-coincidence measurements were performed with use of EXILL array consisted of 16 HPGe detectors. The experimentalresults were compared to shell-model calculations involving valence particles excitations. The $^{210}$Bi nucleus offers the potentialto test the effective proton-neutron interactions because most of the states should arise from the proton-neutron excitations. Additionally,it was discovered that a few states should come from the couplings of valence particles to the $3^-$ octupole vibration in$^{208}$Pb which provides also the possibility of testing the calculations involving the core excitations.

At the PF1B cold neutron beam line at the Institut Laue Langevin, the EXILL array consisting of EXOGAM, GASP and ILL-Clover detectors was used to perform (n,$\gamma$) measurements at very high coincidence rates. About ten different reactions were measured in autumn 2012 using a highly collimated cold neutron beam. In spring 2013, the EXOGAM array was combined with 16 LaBr3(Ce) scintillators in the EXILL&FATIMA campaign for the measurement of lifetimes using the generalised centroid difference method. We report on the properties of the set-ups and present first results from both campaigns.

International audience; The low-spin structure of the 41Ca isotope, populated by neutron capture, has been investigated by high resolution γ-spectroscopy techniques. The experiment was performed at the PF1B cold neutron facility at the Institut Laue–Langevin (Grenoble, France) employing the EXILL array, consisting of 46 HPGe crystals. Several new γ rays have been observed and two excited states were newly established.

The half-lives of the 9/2 + , 13/2+ , and 15/2+ yrast states in the neutron-rich 67Cu nucleus were determined by using the in-beam fast-timing technique. The experimentally deduced E3 transition strength for the decay of the 9/2+ level to the 3/2- ground state indicates that the wave function of this level might contain a collective component arising from the coupling of the odd proton p3/2 with the 3- state in 66Ni. Theoretical interpretations of the 9/2+ state are presented within the particle-vibration weak-coupling scheme involving the unpaired proton and the 3- state from 66Ni and within shell-model calculations with a 56Ni core using the jj44b residual interaction. The shell model also accounts reasonably well for the other measured electromagnetic transition probabilities.

The lifetime of the 9/2 + state of 65 Cu, at 2534 keV, has been measured by fast timing techniques, in order to establish wether such state arises from a weak coupling between a p3=2 proton and the 3 octupole vibration at 3.56 MeV in the 64 Ni core. The 65 Cu nucleus was populated by the reaction 7 Li + 64 Ni at 32 MeV, at the Horia Hu- lubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (NIPNE) in Bucharest, and its -decay was detected by the ROSPHERE array. The measured lifetime coresponds to a B(E3) reduced transition probability to the ground state equal to 8.89 W.u., in agreement with theoretical predictions in the weak coupling limit.

The population and gamma decay of neutron rich nuclei around 48Ca has been measured at Legnaro National Laboratory with the PRISMA-CLARA setup, using deep-inelastic collisions (DIC) on 64Ni, at an energy approximately twice the Coulomb barrier. The reaction properties of the main products are investigated, focusing on total cross sections and angular distributions both integrated in energy and associated to the population of specific excited states. Gamma spectroscopy studies are also performed, giving evidence, for the first time in transfer reactions with heavy ions, of a large spin alignment (~70%), perpendicular to the reaction plane. This makes possible the use of angular distributions and polarization measurements to firmly establish the spin and parity of excited states populated in nucleon transfer channels, as in the case of 49Ca, where candidates for particle-core coupling are investigated. Both reaction and gamma spectroscopy studies demonstrate the relevance of DIC with heavy ions for a detailed investigation of moderately neutron rich systems.

The deep inelastic reaction (DIC) 48Ca+64Ni, at an energy approximately 2.5 times above the Coulomb barrier, was studied using the CLARA‐PRISMA setup at the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro. Total cross sections and angular distributions, both energy integrated and associated to the population of selected excited states, are measured for the most intense reaction channels. The γ‐decay of the most intense reaction products is also studied. The use of angular distributions and polarization measurements of γ transitions allows to firmly establish spin and parity of excited states. Both reaction and gamma spectroscopy studies demonstrate the relevance of DIC with heavy ions for the investigation of moderately neutron rich systems.

The gamma decay of neutron-rich nuclei around 48Ca was measured at Legnaro National Laboratory with the PRISMA-CLARA setup, using the multi-nucleon transfer reaction 48Ca on 64Ni at 282 MeV. Evidence is found for a large spin alignment which allows to use angular distributions and polarizations of gamma rays to firmly establish, for the first time, spin and parities of several excited states. In the one neutron transfer channels, 49Ca and 47Ca, states arising by coupling a single particle to the 3− phonon of 48Ca are observed, showing the robustness of nuclear collectivity in rather light systems. The work demonstrates the feasibility of complete in-beam γ-spectroscopy with heavy-ion transfer reactions and provides a method that can be further exploited in the future with heavy targets and radioactive beams.

Dark crusts and concretions on volcanic and calcareous rocks dredged from seamounts west of the Aeolian Islands, southern Tyrrhenian Sea, consists mainly of amorphous FeMn hydroxides, with some goethite, todorokite, birnessite and clastic minerals. Chemically they consist of predominant Fe (up to 45%) and Mn (up to 12%), with significant amounts of Zn, Ni, Co and Cu. That the REE distribution patterns are similar to those of shallow Pacific derivation — from hydrothermal waters cognate or cycled through volcanic rocks of intermediate composition — is tentatively suggested.

The ophiolites of Northern Pindos have been studied in a section close to the village of Perivoli (Grevena District). The section comprises cumulus rocks ranging from ultramafics to gabbros, overlain by dolerites (non-cumulus microgabbro) capped by thick frequently pillowed lava flows. The sequence is cut by basaltic dykes. While the cumulus rocks and the dolerites are mostly fresh, the lavas and dykes are strongly transformed. Major and trace element (Ni, Cr, Sc, Y, Zr, Nb, Sr, Ba, Zn, Cu, V, Li) data are presented for selected samples from the sequence. For some elements, the volcanic/subvolcanic rocks (flows, dykes, dolerites) exhibit wide chemical characteristics which are considered to mainly reflect variations within the parent magmas. Some lavas appear to be closely comparable with the present-day ocean-floor basalts, while other flows and most of the dykes are strongly depleted in some “incompatible” elements and are similar to some rocks from immature island arcs. The dolerites have transitional chemical features. The Pindos lavas differ from Western Mediterranean ophiolites in that the former have lower Ti,P,Zr,Y, higher Fe tot. and normally higher Ti/Zr ratio. The volcanic/subvolcanic rocks from Pindos have been derived from separate magmas. Some lavas were possibly produced by variable partial melting of an already depleted mantle source, while the lavas exhibiting ocean-floor affinity were probably generated by partial melting of a less depleted source. The wide chemical variations of the Pindos lavas cannot be easily explained by an ocean-ridge system. An “island arc-marginal basin system” could better account for the observed chemical features.

Neutron rich nuclei around 48Ca have been measured with the CLARA–PRISMA setup, making use of 48Ca on 64Ni binary reactions, at 5.9 MeV/A. Angular distributions of γ rays give evidence, in several transfer channels, for a large spin alignment (≈70%) perpendicular to the reaction plane, making it possible to firmly establish spin and parities of the excited states. In the case of 49Ca, states arising from different types of particle–core couplings are, for the first time, unambiguously identified on basis of angular distribution, polarization and lifetime measurements. Shell model and particle–vibration coupling calculations are used to pin down the nature of the states. Evidence is found for the presence, in the same excitation energy region, of two types of coupled states, i.e. single particle coupled to either 48Ca or 50Ca simple configurations, and particle–vibration coupled states based on the 3− phonon of 48Ca., This work was supported by the Italian Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare and partially by the Spanish MICINN (ACI2009-1070 bilateral action) and Generalitat Valenciana (Grant Nos. In this work, we introduce a new approach which is meant to be a first step towards complete self-consistent low-lying spectroscopy of odd nuclei. So far, we essentially limit ourselves to the description of a double-magic core plus an extra nucleon. The model does not contain any free adjustable parameter and is instead based on a Hartree-Fock (HF) description of the particle states in the core, together with self-consistent random-phase approximation (RPA) calculations for the core excitations. We include both collective and noncollective excitations, with proper care of the corrections due to the overlap between them (i.e., due to the nonorthonormality of the basis). As a consequence, with respect to traditional particle-vibration coupling calculations in which one can only address single-nucleon states and particle-vibration multiplets, we can also describe states of shell-model types like 2 particle--1 hole. We will report results for $^{49}\mathrm{Ca}$ and $^{133}\mathrm{Sb}$ and discuss future perspectives.
