The experiment was used fermentation bed technology to study the effect of fermentation bed on diarrhea rate, growth performance and blood physicochemical indexes of lambs in winter. Three batches of experiments were carried out in a row, and 30 hybrid ewes who had just given birth and gave birth to two lambs in each batch were randomly assigned to two closed houses with windows and the same building structure, one floor was transformed into a fermentation bed (experimental group), and the other was used as a control group. The lambs were fed in a single pen for 7 d and then transferred out. Each group was randomly divided into three pens, transferred to semi-open houses, and continued to be fed until weaning at 60 d. The results showed that on 1~7 d, the diarrhea rate of lambs in experimental group was significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05). From birth to weaning, the diarrhea rate and mortality of lambs in experimental group were decreased by 2.49% and 2.95% compared with control group (P<0.05). On 7 d of experiment, the body height, body length and chest circumference of lambs in experimental group were increased by 1.71, 0.56, 0.66 cm compared with control group, respectively (P<0.05). On 8~30 d, the average daily gain of lambs in experimental group was increased by 22.59% compared with control group ( P<0.05). The average daily gain of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group during the whole experiment period (1~60 d) (P<0.05). At 60 d of age, the body weight of lambs in experimental group was increased by 13.42% compared with control group ( P<0.05). The percentage of lymphocyte in whole blood of lambs in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.05), and the content of GLU, TP and GLB in serum were increased by 8.45%, 3.34% and 10.49% compared with control group, respectively (P<0.05). The study indicates that using a fermentation bed feeding mode within 7 d of birth can reduce the rate of diarrhea and mortality before weaning, and improve the apparent digestibility and blood physicochemical indicators of lambs. Rational crop rotation has a positive role in promoting crop production. In order to clarify the effect of different crop rotation patterns and previous crops on growth and grain yield of oilseed flax in dry land flax, a long-term field positioning experiments were conducted. We studied the effect of regulation of six different rotation treatments on grain yield formation of oilseed flax and which response to different stubbles. Six rotation patterns were set as follows: flax-flax-flax-flax (FFFF), flax-wheat-potato-flax (FWPF), flax-potato-flax-wheat (FP-FW), flax-flax-wheat-potato (FFWP), flax-wheat-flax-potato (FWFP) and flax-wheat-potato-wheat (FWPW). The results showed that crop rotation influenced grain yield and yield-related traits of oilseed flax. The grain yield of oilseed flax under different rotation treatments increased by 5.99%-88.49% compared with continuous cropping (FFFF). The frequency of oilseed flax had a significant effect on grain yield. The grain yield under FWPW treatment with 25% flax planting frequency increased by 17.55%-62.50% compared with that of 50% flax planting frequency and 88.49% compared with that of continuous cropping, respectively. Plant height, capsule number, branch number and 1000-seed weight under rotation treatments were greater 1.74%-15.15%, 12.82%-38.48%, 11.02%- 24.93% and 4.88%-13.56% than that of FFFF pattern, respectively. The accumulation amount and distribution ratio of dry matter in different organs were significantly correlated with grain yield of oilseed flax. Crop rotation significantly promoted dry matter accumulation, which were increased by 14.87%-39.57% compared with that of FFFF. The dry matter accumulation was decreased with the increasing of frequency of oilseed flax, which was generally expressed as 25% flax planting frequency > 50% flax planting frequency > 100% flax planting frequency. The results showed that crop rotation could effectively promote plant height, branch number, effective capsule number or 1000- grain weight by promoting the accumulation of dry matter in various organs of flax and optimizing dry matter distribution, which further increased grain yield of oilseed flax. It indicates that appropriate rotation mode and crop stubble can effectively solve the problem of yield reduction caused by continuous cropping of flax. To investigate soil NO3--N dynamics and yield increasing effect of mulching planting for Linum usitatissimum (oil flax) in semi-arid Loess Plateau, we examined the effects of three mulching modes (whole field plastic mulching and micro ridges with soil cover and bunch-seeding; whole field plastic mulching with soil cover and bunch-seeding; and straw mulching with strips) on seed yield and distribution of soil NO3--N during the main growth periods of oil flax, with the conventional planting model as control (CK) in 2015 and 2016. Results showed that the average yield under mulching modes was increased by 56.1% (2015) and 22.7% (2016). The treatment of whole field plastic mulching with soil cover and bunch-seeding had the highest grain yield. Mulching treatments significantly increased soil water content. Soil water content was increased first and then reduced in the whole growth stage of oil flax. The soil N03--N content was gradually decreased during the oil flax growth process. In both years, N03--N content in 0-40 cm soil depth under mulching treatments were increased by 3.1%-18.6% (2015) and 5.1%-16.4% (2016) at budding stage of oil flax, respectively. The whole field plastic mulching with soil cover and bunch-seeding treatment showed the larges increases across all treatments. In 2015, NO3--N accumulation in 0100 cm soil depth between the flowering and maturity stages of oil flax were increased by 10.2%- 22.2% and 8.6%-21.4%, respectively. Especially during the more rainfall period of maturity stage, NO3--N accumulation in 0-40 cm soil depth was significantly enhanced by 3.3%-4.9% than that in 40-100 cm soil depth. It indicated that more rainfall could slow down the migration of NO3--N to the lower layer under the mulching modes in the maturity stage. In 2016, high temperature and drought at late growth stages had a great influence on oil flax growth. The N03 -N accumulation in 0 100 cm soil depth at the maturity stage was increased by 6.6% 18.0%. There was significant correlation between NO3--N content and grain yield during the main growth stages of oil flax. In conclusion, the whole field plastic mulching with soil cover and bunch-seeding treatment was the most appropriate way of oil flax production in arid and semi-arid area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Conjugating the EDC activated fluorescent microspheres with antibody to prepare the fluorescence chromatographic strip for simultaneous detection of tPSA and fPSA. The performance analysis and methodological comparison for the test strip were further performed. The results showed that the sensitivity for PSA and fPSA detection by the test strip were 0.08 ng/mL and 0.06 ng/mL, respectively. The coefficient of variation within and between groups was less than 10% and 15%, respectively. The recovery rates ranged from 95% to 105%. The specificity of the test strip was well. The results revealed a good correlation between self-prepared test strip and electrochemiluminescence detection, which could satisfy the needs of aided diagnosis of small- scale hospitals. Objective To investigate the expression of serum IL-17, IL-6 and TGF-β in chronic hepatitis C virus infection patients and explore the correlation between IL-17, IL-6, TGF-β and clinical characteristic of hepatitis C patients. Methods 54 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis C and 40 healthy volunteers were enrolled. The expression of IL-17, IL-6 and TGF-β in serum were evaluated by ELISA; ALT, AST, ALB and TBil were determined by ABBOTT AEROSET Ci 16200 system, HCV-RNA were measured by RT-PCR respectively. Results Compared with healthy controls, the levels of IL-17, IL-6 and TGF-β were all increased significantly in hepatitis C patients serum (P = 0.004, P = 0.018, P = 0.025) .Correlation analysis showed the elevated IL-17 was related to IL-6 (r = 0.664, P = 0.00) and TGF-β (r = 0.511, P = 0.00) . IL-6 was also related to TGF-β (r = 0.807, P = 0.00) . Increased IL-17 was associated with ALT, AST and HCV-RNA (r=-0.52, P = 0.01; r = -0.282 P = 0.005, r = -0.209, P = 0.037), But no obvious correlations between TGF- β and ALT, AST or HCV-RNA (r=-0.104, P= 0.424, r=-0.034, P= 0.871, r = -0.167, P=0.74) were observed, It is similar to IL-6 and ALT, AST or HCV-RNA (r = -0.13, P = 0.951, r = -0.118, P = 0.576 r =-0.083, P =0.694) . Objective To construct PGC-LV-syncytin vector and establish Jurkat cell line with syncytin gene knockdown. Methods The targeting syncytin gene sequence was designed by the RNAi software, and were cloned into the PGC-LV vector. The positive clones were confirmed by both PCR and restriction enzyme digestion, finally by DNA sequencing. The lentivirus was then harvested and used to infect Jurkat cells. The infected efficiency was indicated by GFP and detected with fluorescent microscope. The expression level of syncytin gene of Jurkat cell line at mRNA was detected by Real-Time PCR, and then Annexin V-APC-labeled flow cytometry was used to detect cell apoptosis rates. Results A lentiviral vector with syncytin gene interference was constructed, and a Jurkat cell line stably expressing syncytin shRNA for syncytin knockdown was successfully established. Conclusion A lentiviral vector carrying the targeting gene syncytin has been successfully constructed, and a Jurkat cell line stably expressing syncytin shRNA has established with this lentiviral system, the cell line can be as a cell model for further research of role of syncytin in leukemia. The article presents a study of the effects of prion protein 106-126 (PrP106-126) on BV-2 cells , aimed at exploring the metabolic alterations or oxidative stress of microglia in prion disease.

Two previously undescribed chroman type polyketides, trichrontides A (1) and B (2), along with four known homologous compounds, were isolated from the endophytic fungus Trichoderma sp. YUD24002, which was associated with Aconitum forrestii Stapf.. Their structures were confirmed using NMR and HR-ESI-MS techniques. Furthermore, the absolute configurations of the two new compounds were elucidated through TDDFT ECD calculations and Mosher's methods. Notably, compound 1 exhibited significant antifungal activity against Alternaria panax, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 16 μg/mL, while compound 2 demonstrated evident antifungal activity against Epicoccum nigrum, with a MIC of 32 μg/mL., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)

A completely random split zone experiment with irrigation as main plots and nitrogen application rate as sub-plots was carried out to examine the optimal water-nitrogen coupling mode for oil flax planting in dryland. There were three irrigation levels, no irrigation (0 m 3 ·hm -2 , I 0 ), irrigation at 1200 m 3 ·hm -2 (I 1200 ) and at 1800 m 3 ·hm -2 (I 1800 ); and three nitrogen application rates, no nitrogen (0 kg N·hm -2 , N 0 ), 60 kg·N hm -2 (N 60 ) and 120 kg·N hm -2 (N 120 ). We investigated nitrogen accumulation content at different growth stages, nitrogen transport characteristics after anthesis, grain yield and nitrogen utilization efficiency of oil flax. Results showed that the coupling effects of water and nitrogen application on nitrogen uptake in different organs, nitrogen accumulation during different growth stages and grain yield of dry land oil flax varied greatly. Under no irrigation, nitrogen application was beneficial to stem nitrogen absorption at anthesis and maturity stages, but 120 kg N·hm -2 inhibited it at different irrigation levels. At the 1200 m 3 ·hm -2 (I 1200 ) irrigation level, foliar nitrogen content at anthesis stage increased first and then decreased with increasing nitrogen rates, and N 60 increased foliar nitrogen content by 11.0% and 28.9% respectively compared with N 0 and N 120 . At the 1800 m 3 ·hm -2 (I 1800 ) irrigation level, nitrogen application increased foliar nitrogen content at maturity stage, with that in N 60 and N 120 treatments being 39.7% and 26.9% higher than N 0 , respectively. The effects of water-nitrogen coupling on nitrogen accumulation in different growth stages of oil flax was mainly shown after budding stage. Under the same irrigation level, N 60 promoted and N 120 inhibited nitrogen accumulation in each stage after budding. Nitrogen application increased nitrogen transport rate and contribution rate of leaves and stems under I 1200 and I 1800 . The coupling of I 1800 and N 60 significantly increased the number of effective capsules per plant and grain yield of oil flax (6.6%-22.8%), which was a suitable water-nitrogen coupling management mode in this area.

To optimize the effects of nitrate (NO 3 - -N) to ammonium (NH 4 + -N) ratios on water consumption characteristics, grain yield and water use efficiency (WUE) of maize under full film mulching on double ridges, a field experiment was conducted at semi-arid Loess Plateau of Gansu Province, China during 2015 to 2017 cropping seasons. The treatments with different ratios of NO 3 - -N to NH 4 + -N included: N 1 (1:0), N 2 (1:1), N 3 (1:3) and N 4 (3:1). The results showed that different NO 3 - -N/NH 4 + -N ratios had significant impacts on soil water storage in 0-200 cm soil layer. Treatment N 3 had the lowest soil water storage. Treatment N 4 significantly increased total water consumption by 2.9%, 1.9% and 0.9% in 2015, and 2.3%, 1.4%, and 2.2% in 2017, compared with N 1 , N 2 and N 3 treatments, respectively. Compared with the other treatments, treatment N 4 increased grain yield by 3.3%-9.9%, 3.5%-24.2% and 8.3%-36.1% and improved WUE by 1.6%-6.8%, 4.9%-21.8%, and 6.6%-32.9% in 2015, 2016 and 2017, respectively. Treatment N 4 had the highest partial productivity of nitrogen fertilizer, followed by N 2 , N 3 and N 1 , respectively. We recommended treatment N 4 as the best nitrate and ammonium ratio to improve water use efficiency, N partial productivity, and grain yield of maize in arid and semi-arid Loess Plateau.

Three new diphenyl ethers (1-3), together with four known isopentylated diphenyl ethers derivatives (4-7), were isolated from the fermentation products of an endophytic fungus Phomopsis fukushii. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR techniques. Compounds 1-3 were evaluated for their anti-methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (anti-MRSA) activity. The results revealed that compounds 1 and 2 showed strong inhibitions with inhibition zone diameters (IZD) of 20.2 ± 2.5 mm and 17.9 ± 2.2 mm, respectively. Compound 3 also showed good inhibition with IZD 15.2 ± 1.8 mm. The IZD data of compound 1 is close to that of positive control with IZD 21.9 ± 2.1 mm.

Selenium is an essential element with antioxidant roles in immune regulation, but there is little understanding of how Se acts in apoptosis in the immune organs of birds. The aim of study was to evaluate the influence of Se deficiency on oxygen free radicals, NO and apoptosis in immune organ of chickens. 160 1-day-old chickens were randomly assigned to two groups of 80 each and were fed on a low-Se diet (0.032 mg/kg Se) or a control diet (0.282 mg/kg Se), respectively. OFR production in blood was determined on days 30, 45, 60 and 75, respectively. The iNOS-NO system activity in immune organ (thymus, spleen, bursa of fabricius) was identified by NO content and NOS activity assay on days 30, 45, 60 and 75, respectively. Apoptosis was measured by DNA ladder analysis, ultrastructural observations, TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling TUNEL assay and flow cytometric analysis of apoptotic DNA. The transcription of factor-associated suicide, caspase-3 mRNA was tested by fluorescence quantitative PCR. The results showed that OFR production, NO and inducible NO synthases (iNOS) activity in the low-Se group were significantly increased (p < 0.05) than in the control group. In addition, apoptosis was observed in chicken immune organ in the low-Se group. The degree and the number of apoptotic cells rose in a time-dependent manner. The expression of Fas and caspase-3 mRNA increased (p < 0.05) than in the control group. It indicated that the oxidative stress and NO played a causative role in the apoptosis of immune tissues induced by selenium deficiency.

Objective: In order to provide an objective observational index for facial neuritis, the authors monitored the changes of facial far-infrared thermogram in patients with acute facial neuritis., Methods: A total of 23 patients with acute facial neuritis were enrolled from Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Chinese PLA General Hospital. Another 21 healthy participants were selected as the control group. Focal plane thermal imaging system (thermal sensitivity 0.05 degrees centigrade) was applied to collect facial far-infrared thermogram. Temperature differences in the thermogram of both sides of the cheeks, inner canthus, supraorbitals and forehead of the same patient were compared separately and statistically and analyzed by software provided by the imaging system., Results: Results of far-infrared thermography of the patients displayed obvious temperature differences ranging from 0.01 to 0.26 degrees centigrade between two sides of the cheeks, inner canthus, supraorbitals and forehead areas. In the control group, far-infrared thermogram showed that there were no obvious temperature differences between two sides of the cheeks, inner canthus, supraorbitals and forehead. There were significant differences in temperature difference in the four monitoring areas between the two groups (P<0.01). Among the 23 patients, there were 14 patients with congestive change, 7 with ischemic change and 2 with both congestive and ischemic changes., Conclusion: The facial far-infrared thermogram of patients with acute facial neuritis is characterized mainly by congestive changes. Far-infrared thermography can objectively reflect the changes of blood-supply status in patients with facial neuritis.
