The aim of this paper is to present the working principle of an experimental device aimed at reducing the maintenance interventions and cleaning consumables usage for electric discharge machining systems particularly concerning wire electric discharge machines. The device is expected to reduce maintenance interventions, dielectric filtering medium consumption and part cleaning work and consumables while also offering small improvements to the machining process itself. As an alternative of Romania's sustainable development, rural tourism is considered to be an assembly of productprice-consumption, which awards the country multiple opportunities for integration into European structures. Taking into consideration the Government Decision no. 20/2012 on the approval of multi-annual programmer for destinations, forms and tourism products development, the 3rd article, the 1st line, e item "actions regarding a specialized ranking of reception structures with accommodation in the hydropathical (spa) and rural tourism in Romania", as well as the measures covered in the Strategic and Operational Marketing Plan for Romania during 2011-2015, the National Authority for Tourism together with the National Organization for Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism, The Partnership Federation in Romanian Tourism and the Management, Economic Engineering in Agriculture and Rural Development at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest launch the pilot project: "A thematic specialization of tourism and agritourism guest houses in Romania". The hereby study undertakes to introduce the certification procedure in ecological tourism, as well as the criteria that must be fulfilled by the lodging units that wish to voluntarily adhere to this modern form of tourism. In our country, the Certifying System in the Ecotourism is used by the Romanian Association of Ecotourism (AER) and this adjusts the international experience to the Romanian context. This has been developed in conformity with the Accreditation Program in Nature and Ecotourism promoted by the Australian Association of Ecotourism (NEAP being the first accreditation system in ecological tourism) and in conformity with Nature's Best of the Swedish Association of Ecotourism (the first accreditation system in Ecotourism in the northern hemisphere). A key element in the certification procedure consists of drawing up a plan of sustained development which should answer the entirety of certification requirements. The laws governing the activity of guesthouses did not pass. Within a study carried out by the Romanian Association of Eco-tourism analyzing the problems of owners and managers of guesthouses and their opinion regarding the laws in the field, owners of guesthouses have only awarded a 4.80 score to the laws ruling the activity in this field. The results of the study have been officially released during Bucharest Tourism Fair within a seminar taking place on March 15th, 2013. The study showed that tourism direct legislation does not represent a problem for guesthouses, but adjacent fields such as sanitary, veterinary, fire fighting or labour procedures stand as a brake for the development of the guesthouses sector [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The present study refers to 3D metal additive manufacturing (MAM) from an interdisciplinary perspective, providing an overview on sustainability, basic principles, and a conceptual framework on environmental performance, implicit constraints regarding materials, recycling and use/reuse tools for extended life cycle, regarded as the trendiest manufacturing processes in terms of material consumptions efficacy and energy efficiency. The demand for integrating MAM technology as a means to boosting sustainability in industry is based on its capacity to use smart or custom-designed materials to generate special geometries, unobtainable otherwise, allowing for further part optimisation or redesign. The outlined advantages and challenges of the new MAM processes and advanced technologies for functional objects and durable products underline the high interest in this area. Results from the literature and our MAM research interest indicate that some metal powder (MP) recycling and use/reuse technologies could be developed to save MP, as could MAM applications in component redesign and repairs to increase sustainability.
