Simultaneous occurrence of injury to ipsilateral distal humerus/elbow and distal radial and/or radioulnar bone at wrist is extremely uncommon. Most of the textbooks do not mention this combination of injury. This fracture combination was studied in 42 children as a multicentric study where the peak age incidence was 10 years (range: 6–15 years); injury was common in males and on the right side in most of the cases. Open fractures were seen in 12 cases where injury resulted due to fall from height on an outstretched hand. Thirty of these injuries were treated conservatively and 12 by surgery. The study discusses the problems in management and complications observed thereof. A flowchart has been recommended based on experience.

Osteomyelitis variolosa is an osteoarticular complication of small pox infection. We are presenting a case of osteomyelitis variolosa, who presented to us with fracture of ankle on the involved side with other orthopedic sequelae of small pox infection, which he contracted during his childhood period. We have discussed the distinguishing clinical and radiological features of osteomyilitis variolosa.

We present here a unique case of humeroradial synostosis. These anomalies are due to longitudinal failure of differentiation. Approximately 150 cases of humeroradial synostosis have been reported worldwide, the majority of which are familial in nature or associated with syndromes. The case presented here involves an infant aged 11⁄2 months, born with bilateral humeroradial synostosis without familial or syndromic association. To the best of our knowledge, no such case has been reported in Asia.
