Procaine belongs to a type of medicine in which excessive dosage form creates cardiac problems and many allergenic reactions. Thus, continuous monitoring of this drug and its metabolite is crucial for sustainable health management during treatment. In this study, electrochemical techniques such as square wave voltammetry (SWV) and differential pulse polarography (DPP) are utilized for assaying procaine amounts in standard and pharmaceutical formulations. In SWV, the reduction of diazotized procaine gives a reduction peak at −0.05 V which is directly proportional with procaine hydrochloride concentration, whereas in DPP, the interaction of the drug with lead cation at −0.4 V is followed by the decrease in peak current of the lead cation reduction peak, which is directly proportional with the concentration of the drug. Both methods indicate high accuracy, sensitivity and precision. Linear concentration ranges of both methods are 0.0999–5.996 × 10-7 M for SWV and 0.1999–5.996 × 10-7 M for DPP. The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) are calculated for both SWV and DPP techniques, and found that LOD equals 1.984 × 10-9 M and LOQ equals 6.611 × 10-9 M for SWV, while for (DPP) LOD and LOQ were found to be 3.519 × 10-9 M and 1.173 × 10-8 M, respectively.

This study involves continuous radon monitoring during the academic year 2023/2024. An Airthings Corentium Home radon detector placed in the basement laboratory of a faculty building in Kosovska Mitrovica (N 42.897°, E 20.867°) was used for continuous measurements. The average radon concentration was 303 Bq/m3, and a seasonal pattern during the measuring period was observed. For the first time, the results were grouped by week, excluding non-working days, to present a real case scenario with the aim of assessing the radon exposure of students, teachers, and employed persons. The inhalation dose from radon (1.54 mSv) was very high considering that exposure occurred in both semesters. Another aspect of continuous radon monitoring was to explore the relationship between indoor radon measurements and the occurrences of earthquakes in the Balkan region. Daily variations in radon (peaks and differences) were analyzed at the monitoring site by using both empirical laws and taking into account the earthquake data set provided by the Seismological Survey of Serbia. The analysis revealed that the events chosen to confirm a clear association between earthquake occurrence and enhanced radon activities in the air(as a precursor of seismic activities) did not meet the required criteria but most likely reflected external meteorological conditions.

Several studies found that students from broken families were challenged by different problems contributing to poor academic performance. Yet, even with these problems, these students from broken families managed to gain positive experiences and persevered despite their traumatic family background. With this in mind, the researchers were motivated to conduct this narrative inquiry to explore the different narrative life stories of perseverance in the education of licensed professional teachers from broken families. The five participants from Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines were interviewed about the circumstances and consequences that led to their family’s situation, and their motivations to persevere and continue with their life goals. Using the narrative-thematic analysis, this study revealed that the participants’ families were once happy. Nonetheless, they fell apart due to the following circumstances: parents’ infidelity, social influence, and parents’ frustration towards their children’s sexuality. Moreover, having a broken family led to a lack of financial and emotional support in pursuing their education. Some even lost their interest in continuing their studies. However, even with the consequences of having a broken family that they experienced, they managed to persevere in finishing their education by doing part-time jobs and finding scholarships. Furthermore, poverty, their family, and the opportunities they had to continue their studies motivated them to persevere in their goal to finish their education. They become resilient individuals by sustaining and finding ways to support their school finances. Through the highlighted results, the researchers recommended a more welcoming environment (school, community, church, and government) and opportunities for children from broken families.

The aim of this study is to determine the radiographic position of the lateral intercondylar ridge (LIR) and its relationship with the Blumensaat line (BL) and the tangent to the posterior cortex (PCT) of the distal femur. On 35 femur specimens, the LIR was labeled by using a 1 gauge wire. A true lateral view with the distal femur was taken. On the taken plain radiographs, we measured angles that close between BL and LIR, PCT and LIR. We also measured the ratio in which LIR crosses the BL. The mean angle between BL and LIR was 70,130 (SD 12,690), and the mean angle that BL closes with PCT was 143,610 (SD 7,910). The point where LIR intersects the BL divides it in a 1:6 ratio. Using these radiological measurements will allow surgeons to quickly estimate the position of the LIR and also allow quick and convenient preoperative planning, intraoperative tunnel placement as well as postoperative analysis.

This study presents the results of continuous indoor radon measurements in a test-house in the vicinity of the “Trepča” mine, near the town of Kosovska Mitrovica. Annual measurements were performed using the detector, Airthings Corentium Home, in the bedroom of an old residential building. A high estimated annual effective dose from radon (33 mSv) was calculated using the last ICRP dose conversion factor and is discussed here regarding the previously recommended ones. There are significant indications concerning the health hazard. Several measures are proposed and serve as a technical solution including other effective, low-cost radon mitigation procedures in order to reduce radon levels. The effectiveness of the applied measures resulted in a 44% reduction in radon concentration.

Tepeköy Höyük, Muş il merkezinin 45 km kuzeyinde; Varto ilçesinin 22 km güneyinde yer alır. Yukarı Murat havzasında kazısı yapılan ilk tabakalı höyük olan Tepeköy’ün doğusundan Kaynarca Deresi (Bingöl Çayı), batısından eski Muş-Erzurum karayolu geçer. Urartu Krallığı’nın batıya açılan yol güzergahındaki önemli kalelerinden biri olan Kayalıdere Kalesi’nin yalnızca 5 km kuzeybatısındaki konumu ile Orta Demir Çağ’ında önemli bir lokasyonda olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. 2017-2018 yıllarında Ahlat Müze Müdürlüğü Başkanlığı’nda yapılan kurtarma kazıları sonucunda höyükte; Tunç Çağları, Demir Çağları ve Orta Çağ tabakalarına ulaşılmıştır. Höyükte Demir Çağ tabakalarının mimari izleri zayıftır; bununla birlikte metal buluntu ve özellikle çanak çömlekler Orta Demir Çağ/Urartu dönemi hakkında önemli katkılar sunmaktadır. Bu makalede Orta Demir Çağ tabakasının çanak çömlek buluntuları değerlendirilmiştir. Çanak, çömlek, tabak, testi, bardak, kandil ve minyatür kaplardan oluşan formlar büyük oranda Kahve-Kiremit Mal özellikleri gösterir. Bununla birlikte Kahve Astarlı, Kiremit Astarlı, Krem Astarlı ve Gri-Siyah Mallar da görülür. Seramikler form ve mal özellikleri bakımından Urartu yerleşimleri ile benzer özellikler sergiler. Bununla birlikte Muş Havzası’nın yerel özellikleri de görülür.

Objective To evaluate the application effect of the team tutorial system in the training of undergraduate nursing students. Methods Totally 230 undergraduate nursing students form 4 classes of academic year 2019 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into observation group (n=117)and control group (n=113) by using the cluster random sampling method. The control group adopted the routine education method in module teaching, and the observation group adopted the team tutorial system. A 1- academic year intervention was carried out, and the comprehensive test outcomes, humanistic quality, communication skills, attitudes and professional identity of the two groups were evaluated at the end of the semester. A method with rapid, sensitive, accurate, and selective for estimation of local anesthetic procaine hydrochloride (PRO.HCl) is crucial, due to its bad damage to health if administrated excessively. In this work two spectrophotometric methods oxidative coupling and cloud point extraction (CPE) were utilized for determination of PRO.HCl in its standard state and pharmaceutical preparations. Method A, based on the oxidative coupling reaction using sodium hypochlorite as an oxidant and 2,5-dimethylphenol as coupling agent. The blue colored product has high absorption at 600 nm. Method B based on the CPE relying on the previous reaction, with addition of Triton X-114, after extracting the colored product, it was measured at 630 nm. Beer's law of both methods are linear in the concentration ranges 2.50-50 µg/mL (method A) and 1.25-3.75 µg/mL (method B). The molar absorptivity coefficients of methods (A) and (B) are 4.01 x 103 and 1.34 x 104 L/mol.cm, respectively. For (method A) limit of detection and limit of quantification were calculated and found that 0.26 µg/mL and 0.87 µg/mL, respectively, while for (method B) were found to be 0.16 and 0.54 µg/mL, respectively. The content of the article is aimed at reducing the economic losses caused by the Aral Sea problem by further improving the specialization of agriculture, based on the potential of the Aral Sea region. At the same time, based on the share of agriculture in GDP, it is aimed at increasing the share of agriculture in economic growth, using the existing conditions wisely. Through the specialization of agriculture, we will be able to overcome the current problems by creating an integrated system that effectively uses the available resources in the country. These insights are based on scientific evidence and statistical observations. The priority of the practical work on the Aral Sea in our country will be to improve the living standards of the population through the efficient use of inefficient land. By building agricultural specialization with modern technologies, we will be able to effectively address important issues in the Aral Sea region. The measures taken in recent years also mean that the Aral Sea issue is one of our priorities at the national level.
