Introduction: This study was aimed to define the demographic structure of vaccinated patients admitted to the emergency room (ER) with COVID-19 symptoms, and their hospitalization status, length of stay (LoS) in hospital, and mortality status.Material and Method: This research is a retrospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study. Furthermore, it includes the period between 15.01.2021 and 30.04.2021.Results: An 887 COVID-19 vaccinated patients who applied to ER. Of these, 383 (42.2%) were male, and 504 (56.8%) were female. The mean age of the patients was 52±18.6 years. The number of single-dose vaccinated patients was 696 (78.5%), and the two-dose vaccinated was 191 (21.5%). CoronaVac (Sinovac Life Sciences) vaccine was applied to 755 (85.1%), and BNT162b2 (Pfizer & Biontech) vaccine was applied to 132 (14.9%) patients before.In 317 (35.7%) cases, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (Rt-PCR) positivity was detected in the ER application after vaccination. Of the total patients, 86 (9.7%) were hospitalized, 14 (1.4%) patients died in the hospital.The mean time between vaccination and application to ER was 25 (±21.9) days. Also, this period was 28.1 (±18) days in two-dose vaccinated patients.Conclusion: People who are vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine continue to have hospital admissions with COVID-19 symptoms. Rt-PCR positivity, need for hospitalization, and mortality may continue to be seen in vaccinated individuals.

COVID-19 hastalığının en dikkat çeken özelliği insandan insana çok hızlı bir şekilde bulaşabilmesidir. COVID-19 hastalarına müdahale ve nakil süreçlerinde yer alan hastane öncesi acil sağlık hizmetlerinde çalışan 112 ambulans ekibinin hastalığa yakalanma açısından en yüksek riske sahip gruplar arasında yer aldığı bilinmektedir. Bu yazıda hastane öncesi acil sağlık hizmetleri yönü ile COVID-19 hasta yönetimi ve bu alanda çalışan sağlık personeline yönelik riskler ve alınması gereken önlemlerden bahsedilmesi amaçlanmıştır., The most striking feature of COVID-19 disease is that it can be transmitted from person to person very quickly. It is known that the 112 ambulance team working in pre-hospital emergency health services, which are involved in the intervention and transportation processes of COVID-19 patients, are among the groups with the highest risk of getting the disease. In this article, it is aimed to mention about the risks and precautions that should be taken for pre-hospital emergency health services, COVID-19 patient management and healthcare personnel working in this field.

Objective: Healthcare professionals are one of the groups at highest risk of transmission, as they are in close contact with COVID-19 patients. Naturally, people who see themselves at risk for COVID 19 may be worried. This study aims to determine perceptions, knowledge levels, measures, and resources of healthcare professionals and make additional suggestions.Material and Method: This cross-sectional study was conducted from the 10th to 17th of March, 2020. Participants were assessed using an online questionnaire containing risk perceptions, knowledge, preventive behaviors, and sources of information about COVID-19. The questionnaire was created from 4 chapters and 61 questions. The data obtained were analyzed with IBM SPSS 21.Results: A total of 305 healthcare professionals completed the questionnaire. The median age of participants was 26 years (IQR: 23-30). The highest Perceived vulnerability risk score belongs to cold. (mean: 3.8; SD: 0.9) However, the highest Perceived severity score belongs to COVID-19 (mean: 6.5; SD: 2.6). A mean knowledge score of 3.3 (standard deviation [SD] = 0.6) was observed; 87.5% of the respondents answered three or more knowledge questions correctly. It has been determined that the most preferred method of protection is to washing hands more frequently (82.6%).Conclusion: The results indicate that the healthcare professionals were well aware of the COVID-19 outbreak, knew what COVID-19 was, about their risk, and obtained their information primarily from the internet and doctors, which were also rated as trustworthy sources of information., Amaç: Sağlık uzmanları, COVID-19 hastalarıyla yakın temas halinde oldukları için bulaşma riski en yüksek gruplardan biridir. Doğal olarak, kendilerini COVID-19 için risk altında gören insanlar endişeli olabilir. Objective: In this study, we aimed to determine the factors that contribute to the early determination of mortality risk in patients hospitalized with COVID-19.Methods: We included 941 adult inpatients (474 male [50.4%], mean age, 53.5±17.0. The patients were divided into two groups: the discharge group and the death group. Epidemiological data, medical history, underlying comorbidities, laboratory findings, chest computed tomographic scans, real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction detection results, and survival data were obtained with retrospective recordings on admission and follow-up. The statistical relationship between survival data and parameters was analyzed. A mathematical model was created from the data of both groups.Results: While 863 patients survived, 78 were non-survivors. During the study period, the preliminary case fatality rate of the inpatients was 8.3%. The mean age of the non-survivors was 71.7±11.2 SD ( P 1000 ng/ml), high C-reactive protein (CRP), CK-MB, and LDH, and low lymphocyte count were associated with poor prognosis.Conclusion: According to week 1 data of patients with COVID-19, advanced age, hypertension, d-dimer, CRP, CK-MB, high LDH, and low lymphocyte were associated with poor prognosis. We believe that this model will be useful in predicting patient mortality., Amaç: Bu çalışmada COVID-19 tanısıyla hastaneye yatırılan hastalarda mortalite riskinin erken dönemde belirlenmesine katkıda bulunan faktörleri belirlemeyi amaçladık.Yöntem: Hastanede yatan 941 COVID-19 tanılı erişkin hasta (474 erkek [% 50.4], yaş ortalaması 53.5 ± 17 çalışmaya dahil edildi.
