The article focuses on several myths about welfare reforms and their reality check. The myth about benefits spending usage states that it goes to unemployed people of working age whereas the reality states that the pensioners receive the largest part of social security expenditure amounting to 42 percent. Another myth states that the divorced couples are better off on benefits whereas the families living together and apart receive the same living standards.
