L’évaluation de la voie ouverte par Jung à la psychanalyse dans ses rapports et différences avec les autres traditions qui composent le mouvement psychanalytique se heurte tout notamment à un double obstacle. D’une part, les représentations qu’on se fait d’ordinaire de Jung ne dépassent guère les limites d’un portrait stéréotypé qui pour l’essentiel date de la première et de la deuxième décennie du xxe siècle et en reste à l’image du fils infidèle et renégat. D’autre part, la réflexion sur le débat et la rupture entre Jung et Freud s’en tient trop souvent à une lecture littérale de leur correspondance. Je me propose de revisiter ce débat pour en dégager l’impensé initial à la lumière des développements de l’œuvre de Jung du Livre Rouge à Réponse à Job et autour de thèmes cruciaux autour desquels on peut voir que s’organise aujourd’hui la discussion d’une bonne part des différences de problématiques entre l’approche jungienne et l’approche freudienne des rapports à l’inconscient : formation d’une pensée imageante/représentations topiques du fonctionnement psychique ; approche émergentiste/problématique du refoulement ; analyse des arts en termes de processus de création ou de psychobiographie. Wenn man versucht, den von C. G. Jung der Psychoanalyse eröffneten Weg in seinen Beziehungen und Unterschieden mit den anderen traditionellen Strömungen zu untersuchen und zu bewerten, stößt man auf ein doppeltes Hindernis. Die Vorstellungen, die man sich gängig von Jung macht, bleiben in den Grenzen eines stereotypen Portraits verhaftet, das in den Hauptaspekten auf die beiden ersten Jahrzehnte des 20. Jahrhunderts zurückgeht und mit der Figur des untreuen Sohnes übereinstimmt. Andererseits bleibt die Reflexion über die Auseinandersetzung und den Bruch zwischen Jung und Freud allzu oft von einer wortwörtlichen Interpretation ihres Briefwechsels abhängig. In diesem Beitrag soll diese Diskussion neu aufgegriffen werden, indem das darin ursprünglich Ungedachte anhand einer Interpretation des Roten Buchs und der Antwort auf Hiob in ein neues Licht gestellt wird. Dabei sollen ein paar Themen angesprochen werden, die in den heutigen Debatten über die Unterschiede des Freudschen und Jungschen Ansatzes und deren Auffassung des Unbewussten im Vordergrund stehen: Entstehung eines bildlichen Denkens/Topik des psychischen Funktionierens; Emergenzdenken/Frage nach der Verdrängung; Interpretation der Kunst als Kreativität oder als psychobiographisch bedingt.

Modern and Cenozoic deep-sea hydrothermal-vent and methane-seep communities are dominated by large tubeworms, bivalves and gastropods. In contrast, many Early Cretaceous seep communities were dominated by the largest Mesozoic rhynchonellid brachiopod, the dimerelloid Peregrinella, the paleoecologic and evolutionary traits of which are still poorly understood. We investigated the nature of Peregrinella based on 11 occurrences world wide and a literature survey. All in situ occurrences of Peregrinella were confirmed as methane-seep deposits, supporting the view that Peregrinella lived exclusively at methane seeps. Strontium isotope stratigraphy indicates that Peregrinella originated in the late Berriasian and disappeared after the early Hauterivian, giving it a geologic range of ca. 9.0 (+1.45/-0.85) million years. This range is similar to that of rhynchonellid brachiopod genera in general, and in this respect Peregrinella differs from seep-inhabiting mollusks, which have, on average, longer geologic ranges than marine mollusks in general. Furthermore, we found that (1) Peregrinella grew to larger sizes at passive continental margins than at active margins; (2) it grew to larger sizes at sites with diffusive seepage than at sites with advective fluid flow; (3) despite its commonly huge numerical abundance, its presence had no discernible impact on the diversity of other taxa at seep sites, including infaunal chemosymbiotic bivalves; and (4) neither its appearance nor its extinction coincides with those of other seep-restricted taxa or with global extinction events during the late Mesozoic. A preference of Peregrinella for diffusive seepage is inferred from the larger average sizes of Peregrinella at sites with more microcrystalline carbonate (micrite) and less seep cements. Because other seep-inhabiting brachiopods occur at sites where such cements are very abundant, we speculate that the various vent- and seep-inhabiting dimerelloid brachiopods since Devonian time may have adapted to these environments in more than one way., Open-Access-Publikationsfonds 2014

18 pages; International audience; The infaunal irregular echinoid, Tithonia oxfordiana, is described and compared to congeneric species previously described from Upper Jurassic and lowermost Cretaceous strata. This new species characterizes a monospecific echinoid assemblage, which occurs only in some places where deep-marine middle Oxfordian deposits are exposed in south-east France. Specimens are closely packed and clearly concentrated at the top of small carbonate chemoherms; a close connection of the echinoids with the emission of reduced chemicals, which were oxidized by chemoautotrophic bacteria, is highly probable. Based on general test shape and plate architecture, T. oxfordiana probably was a deposit feeder on chemosynthetic organic matter produced by such bacteria. In view of the fact that T. oxfordiana is the sole species of the Jurassic genus Tithonia known from Oxfordian strata, it is postulated that chemoherms possibly acted as refugia for these peculiar echinoids, which have an episodic record between the Callovian and Valanginian.

Humptulipsia macsotayi sp. nov. (Fig 3) 1972 Mesogasteropoda genus indet. Thieuloy, p. 19, pl. 1, figs. 3–9. 1980 Busnardoa thieuloyi Macsotay, p. 146. 1982 Busnardoa thieuloyi Macsotay; Lemoine et al., p. 645. Diagnosis: Shape, size and sculpture typical for genus, whorls with subsutural constriction and ridge, upper sinus below that ridge; lower slit narrow, at or below basal margin, with sinuous growth lines below slit. Holotype: The specimen figured by Thieuloy et al. (1972, pl. 1, fig. 5) and here in Figure 3B, deposited in the collection of Grenoble University (ID 10112). Paratype: FSL 286 451, specimen showing the basal slit. Type locality: Hauterivian (Early Cretaceous) presumed seep carbonates near Rottier, southeastern France, 44°28’N, 5°25’E. Description: Large, high-spired shell with six or more whorls, whorl profile with subsutural constriction and ridge, deep sinus below ridge, especially on last whorl, periphery convex; early whorls sculptured by sinuous axial ribs that are strongest on periphery, weaker towards suture, ribs fade on later whorls, twelve or more spiral ribs present on early and later whorls; slit at or below basal margin formed by strongly backwards sloping growth lines; no sculpture below slit; growth lines distinct, of varying strength. Aperture unknown. Remarks: Humptulipsia macsotayi n. sp. can be distinguished from the type species H. raui by its subsutural constriction and ridge, and its very narrow lower sinus. Thieuloy (1972) noticed similarities between Humptulipsia macsotoyi n. sp. and ‘ Chemnitzia ’ eucosmeta Ascher, 1906, from Hauterivian strata in eastern Czech Republic that also bear the brachiopod Peregrinella and other seep-related taxa. Ascher’s illustrations show a species, which indeed has similarly sinused ribs, but she neither figured nor described a strong sinus at the base of the aperture (Ascher 1906). By lacking this apertural sinus, her species seems more similar to Abyssochrysos giganteum Kiel, Campbell, Elder & Little, 2008 from Early Cretaceous methane seeps in the Great Valley Group in California, USA (Kiel et al. 2008). Neither Humptulipsia macsotoyi, H. raui, nor Abyssochrysos giganteum have the callus on the inner lip of the aperture as strongly developed as the Czech ‘ Chemnitzia ’ eucosmeta. Unfortunately, the material of ‘ Chemnitzia ’ eucosmeta at the Bavarian State Collection in Munich is lost (A. Nützel pers. comm. 2007) and thus cannot be examined. Distribution: Type locality only. Etymology: For Oliver Macsotay, Valencia (Venezuela), who described this species as Busnardoa thieuloyi in his by IZCN criteria unpublished PhD thesis. This name was later listed but not validated by Lemoine et al. (1982).

Genus Humptulipsia Kiel, 2008 Type species: Abyssochrysos raui Goedert & Kaler, 1996 (by original designation); middle Eocene Humptulips Formation, Washington State, USA. Remarks: Kaim et al. (2008a) suggested that Humptulipsia might belong to the Hokkaidoconchidae, but without providing evidence for this opinion. Puncturella (sensu lato) mcleani sp. nov. (Fig 2) Diagnosis: Tall Puncturella with foramen on lower half of anterior slope; apex bent posteriorly and situated directly above posterior margin; apparently no external sculpture. Holotype: UCMP 55740, L = 7 mm, H = 6 mm, W = 4 mm. Paratypes: UCMP 557041, L = 8 mm, H = 5 mm, W = 5.5 mm, from NW Berryessa limpet [UCMP loc. A-4500, loc. 10 in Kiel et al. (2008)]; UCMP 557042, L = 6 mm, H = 4.5 mm, W = 3 mm, from the type locality; LACMIP 13558, L = 6 mm, H = 5 mm, and LACMIP 13559: L = 5 mm, H = 3.5 mm, both from Paskenta [loc. 2 in Kiel et al. (2008)]. Further material examined: Two further specimens from Wilbur Springs and Rocky Creek [locs. 5 and 7 in Kiel et al. (2008)] are deposited in the CAS. Type locality: The Bear Creek seep site, California, USA, 39°03'14"N, 122°24'40" W; Crack Canyon formation of the Great Valley Group; Early Cretaceous, Valanginian (Kiel et al. 2008). Description: Tall limpet, aperture elongate-oval in outline; apex bent posteriorly, situated vertically above posterior margin of aperture; posterior slope slightly concave, anterior slope gently convex; outer surface apparently smooth; foramen on lower half of anterior slope, about four-and-half times longer than wide. Remarks: The absence of sculpture is unusual for Puncturella and fissurellids in general; however, only a single specimen with fragments of shell material was available. If the absence of sculpture is confirmed this species might be better placed in a new genus. The record from the Tithonian (Late Jurassic) site at Paskenta makes this the oldest slit limpet at fossil cold seeps. Species of Puncturella found at modern vents and seeps are quite different from Puncturella (s.l.) mcleani: they are not as tall, have a more centrally located apex and radial sculpture (Okutani et al. 1993; Beck 1996; Warén and Bouchet 2009). Vent-inhabiting fissurellids without radial sculpture belong to the genus Cornisepta McLean & Geiger, 1998; however, they are not smooth but rather have tuberculate sculpture. They are quite different from Puncturella (s.l.) mcleani in being tall, and having a centrally located apex and foramen (McLean and Geiger 1998). Two further fissurellids are known from the Cretaceous of California, which differ from Puncturella (s.l.) mcleani by being lower and having radial sculpture. They include Fissurella (sensu lato) bipunctata Stanton, 1895 from “near Stephenson’s, on Cold Fork of Cottonwood Creek, Tehama county, California ”; this is a seep deposit of Albian age [the Cold Fork of Cottonwood Creek site of Kiel et al. (2008)]. The holotype is figured here (USNM 23065; Fig. 2G); it is worth noting that this species has a seemingly rectangular apical opening and that the two central radial ribs on the anterior slope are stronger than the other radials; Stanton’s (1895) drawing does not show this. These two strong radials, however, do not mark the edges of a slit. The other species is Fissurella gabbi Stewart, 1927, from the Chico Formation (Coniacian-Campanian) and has, according to Stewart (1927), 20 radial ribs while Fissurella (sensu lato) bipunctata has 27. We have one specimen of a tall limpet resembling Puncturella (s.l.) mcleani in general shape from the Bear Creek seep deposit. But in contrast to Puncturella (s.l.) mcleani, this specimen has radial ribs and shows no sign of a slit or foramen. Distribution: Late Jurassic (Tithonian) to Early Cretaceous (Valanginian), Great Valley Group, California, USA. Etymology: For James H.
