Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (TG/HDL-C) and the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in middle-aged and elderly Chinese population. CVD has high morbidity and mortality in China, with 5.09 million CVD deaths in 2019 and a mortality rate of 364.5 cases per 100,000 people. Existing studies have focused on specific populations and lack studies on the general population. Methods This study used data from the China Health and Aged Care Tracking Survey (CHARLS) to analyse the middle-aged and elderly population between 2011 and 2020. The exposure variable was TG/HDL-C ratio, the outcome variable was the occurrence of heart disease (including myocardial infarction, coronary heart disease, etc.), and the covariates included age, gender, education level, and body mass index. The final sample size was 4,551 participants. Weighted Cox regression models were used to assess the association between TG/HDL-C and CVD risk, and nonlinear associations and stratified analyses were performed. Results The results demonstrated a significant association between TG/HDL-C ratios and cardiac morbidity, with a risk ratio of 0.71 (95% CI: 0.71–0.71) in the adjusted model II. Nonlinear analysis revealed a threshold effect. Within the TG/HDL-C 0.15–1.5 interval (inflection point LnTG/HDL-C 0.41), each 1-unit increase in Ln (TG/HDL-C) was associated with a 17% reduction in the risk. The inflection point was associated with a 0.83-fold reduction in the risk of CVD (95% CI: 0.75, 0.92; p = 0.0003), but beyond this point, the association was no longer significant (1.00-fold reduction in risk; 95% CI: 0.95, 1.05; p = 0.9701). In contrast, stratified analyses demonstrated that the results were more applicable to women and those younger than 65 years. Conclusion In summary, the study found a significant inverse relationship between the triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio and the risk of cardiovascular disease in the middle-aged and elderly Chinese population, with a nonlinear threshold effect observed at a TG/HDL-C ratio of around 1.5.

Abstract There are no nationwide surveys on antihypertensive drugs in China. In order to assess the current status of antihypertensive drug therapy in patients with hypertension and analyzed factors that may affect combination therapy, using convenience sampling, we recruited 305,624 patients with hypertension from the Chinese Cardiovascular Association Database‐Hypertension Center between January 2019 and December 2021. Chi‐squared test was performed to analyze the administered antihypertensive drug types and their combinations in different hospital settings. Logistic regression was used to assess the factors influencing combination therapy. We found around 33.1% of the participants had stage 2 and above hypertension, of which 67.9% were treated with combination therapy. In community or general hospitals, the most common monotherapy was calcium channel blockers (CCB), angiotensin‐converting enzyme inhibitor/angiotensin II receptor inhibitor (ACEI/ARB) and diuretic were the main single‐pill combinations (SPCs), and ACEI/ARB and CCB were the main free combination. From 2019 to 2021, the rates of combination therapy increased (58.8%–64.1%) with SPCs from 25.9% to 31.0% and free combination from 31.9% to 32.6%. Patients aged

Objectives: To address the lack of research on the prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CREs) in Xinjiang, China, and elucidate the genomic characteristics of carbapenem-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP) ST11-KL30. Methods: CREs were collected in Xinjiang from 2021 to 2023. The antimicrobial susceptibility testing of carbapenems was performed via agar dilution method. Whole-genome sequencing was completed on the Illumina platform, and subsequent genomic analyses of CRKP, such as sequencing typing, K-locus and O-locus identification, virulence score assessment, and phylogenetic analysis, were performed. The virulence of CRKP isolates was determined in vitro and in vivo, and biofilm formation was assessed by crystal violet staining. Additionally, the virulence plasmid was reconstructed, and the formation of CRKP ST11-KL30 was revealed based on genome data from public database. Results: Eighty-five CRE isolates were collected, among which CRKP was most prevalent (68/85). KPC was the most dominant carbapenemase (60/68) in CRKP, while NDM-type carbapenemase was more prevalent in other species. ST11 was the dominant CRKP clone and was phylogenetically divided into three clusters: ST11-KL64, ST11-KL47 and ST11-KL30. CRKP ST11-KL30 is a novel recombinant clone that harbours a pK2044-like virulence plasmid and can be derived from ST11-KL64 by obtaining an ∼57 kb region from ST29-KL30. Compared to ST11-KL47 and ST11-KL64, ST11-KL30 had lower virulence, but had enhanced biofilm formation. Conclusions: We describe the prevalence of CRE prevalence southern Xinjiang and report the emergence of a region-specific clone. Our findings underscore the potential dissemination of ST11-KL30, which warrants increased monitoring in the future.

Abstract Objective This study aimed to understand the composition and influencing factors of epilepsy patients’ hospitalization expenses, thus providing a reference for reducing the disease burden of epilepsy patients in low- and middle-income developing countries. Methods A total of 4206 hospitalized cases of epilepsy from 2018 to 2020 were collected. Descriptive statistics were used to understand the patient cost composition, path analysis was used to understand the direct and indirect factors of hospitalization expenses. Results From 2018 to 2020, the average hospitalization expenses for epilepsy patients was 4,299.93 RMB yuan, and the average length of stay was 2.47 days. The highest proportion of hospitalization expenses was diagnosis costs (> 50%), followed by comprehensive medical service costs and drug costs. In terms of the total effect coefficient, the major factors affecting the hospitalization expenses were length of stay (0.880), emergency admission(0.463), and the comorbidities and complications(> 0.250). Hospital length of stay, discharge mode(death) and number of hospitalizations(2 times) affect hospitalization expenses through direct effect. Long-term hospitalization (> 30 days), admission routes(emergency), the comorbidities and complications, presence of drug allergy, and age also affect hospitalization expenses through indirect effects. Conclusion Diagnosis costs and length of stay are important factors affecting the medical expenses of epilepsy inpatients. In general, the quality control of the hospital is good, but it still needs to standardize the diagnosis and treatment behavior of medical staff through the clinical path.

Abstract Object To analyze the trend of the coupling and coordination of the supply and demand of healthcare resources between the elderly population and healthcare resources in China during the period of 2012–2022, to reveal the impact of the growth of the elderly population on the relationship between the supply and demand of healthcare resources, and to put forward suggestions to improve the coupling and coordination between the supply and demand of healthcare resources and the elderly population, in order to cope with the challenges of an aging society. Methods By obtaining relevant data from authoritative data sources such as China Statistical Yearbook, Health and Health Statistics Yearbook, and the Chinese government website from 2012 to 2022, we constructed a comprehensive measurement index for the three systems of elderly population, healthcare resource supply, and healthcare resource demand; Using the entropy value method to assign weights to the indicators, combined with the coupling coordination degree model, to reveal the changes of the elderly population change and the supply and demand of medical and health resources; using ArcGIS technology, to study the spatial characteristics of the elderly population change and the supply and demand of medical and health resources. Results From 2012 to 2022, the supply and demand of healthcare resources and the variation of the elderly population in China show a continuous growth trend, and the comprehensive development level of the system gradually climbs from a low level to a high level. The fluctuation of coupling degree and coordination degree rises, although the coordination degree has always been lower than the coupling degree, but the distance between the coordination degree and the coupling degree gradually narrows with the passage of time. The coordination degree between population aging and medical and health resources development shows spatial heterogeneity in China, with the eastern region significantly higher than the western region/. Conclusions The coupling degree between population aging and healthcare resource supply and demand in China from 2012 to 2022 shows a general upward trend from low coupling to medium-high coupling, but it is worth noting that even though the degree of coupling increases, the degree of coordination is still relatively lagging behind, suggesting that the government and relevant departments need to pay more attention to coordinated allocation and management of healthcare resources. At the same time, the spatial differences in the degree of coordination among provinces suggest that future policymakers should take regional differences into full consideration in policymaking and sustainable development.

Abstract Ice nucleation is a crucial process in nature and industries; however, the role of the free surface of water in this process remains unclear. To address this, we investigate the microscopic freezing process using brute-force molecular dynamics simulations. We discover that the free surface assists ice nucleation through an unexpected mechanism. The surface-induced negative pressure enhances the formation of local structures with a ring topology characteristic of Ice 0-like symmetry, promoting ice nucleation despite the symmetry differing from ordinary ice crystals. Unlike substrate-induced nucleation via water-solid interactions that occurs directly on the surface, this negative-pressure-induced mechanism promotes ice nucleation slightly inward the surface. Our findings provide a molecular-level understanding of the mechanism and pathway behind free-surface-induced ice formation, resolving the longstanding debate. The implications of our discoveries are of substantial importance in areas such as cloud formation, food technology, and other fields where ice nucleation plays a pivotal role.

This research investigates the influence of performance metrics on match outcomes and constructs a predictive model using data from the Qatar World Cup. Employing magnitude-based decision and an array of machine learning algorithms, such as Decision Trees, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, AdaBoost, Random Forests, and Artificial Neural Network, we examined data from 59 matches, excluding extra time. Fourteen performance indicators were integrated into the model, with two types of match outcomes—winning and non-winning—serving as the output variables. The ANN model exhibited the highest predictive performance, achieving an accuracy of 75.42%, an AUC of 76.96%, a precision of 72.73%, a recall of 65.31%, a specificity of 77.03%, and an F1 score of 68.82%. SHAP analysis revealed that “On Target”, “Shooting Opportunity”, and “Ball Progressions” were the most influential features. These findings underscore the critical role of shooting accuracy and the creation of scoring opportunities in determining match outcomes. Consequently, this study developed an accurate model for predicting match outcomes and meticulously analyzed the match performance. Coaches should prioritize the sensitive indicators identified in this study during training and structure training sessions accordingly.

Background Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is most common when driven by hypertension, and it is a strong independent risk factor for adverse cardiovascular events and death. Some animal models support a role for gut microbiota and metabolites in the development of LVH, but cohort studies confirming these findings in populations are lacking. Abstract Background This study aimed to explore the associations between household air pollution (HAP), measured by cooking fuel use, sensory impairments (SI), and their transitions in Chinese middle-aged and older adults. Methods Participants were recruited from the 2011 China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) and were subsequently followed up until 2018. Data on SI were collected by self-reported hearing and vision impairments, which were divided into three categories: non-SI, single SI (hearing or vision impairment), and dual SI (DSI). Cooking fuels, including solid and clean fuels, are proxies for HAP. The transitions of cooking fuels and SI refer to the switching of the fuel type or SI status from baseline to follow-up. Cox proportional hazard regression models were used to explore associations, and hazard ratios (HRs) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) were used to evaluate the strength of the association. Results The prevalence of non-SI, single SI, and DSI was 59.6%, 31.8%, and 8.6%, respectively, among the 15,643 participants at baseline in this study. Over a median follow-up of 7.0 years, 5,223 worsening SI transitions were observed. In the fully adjusted model, solid fuel use for cooking was associated with a higher risk of worsening SI transitions, including from non-SI to single SI (HR = 1.08, 95% CI = 1.01–1.16) and from non-SI to DSI (HR = 1.26, 95% CI = 1.09–1.47), but not from single SI to DSI. In addition, compared to those who always used solid fuels, participants who switched from solid to clean fuel for cooking appeared to have attenuated the risk of worsening SI transitions. The statistical significance of the associations remained in the set of sensitivity analyses. Conclusion Solid fuel use was associated with higher risks of worsening SI transitions, while converting the type of cooking fuel from solid to clean fuels may reduce the risk of worsening SI transitions. Our study suggests that tailored clean fuel interventions, especially in developing countries, should be implemented to prevent sensory impairments and hence reduce the burden of sensory impairment-related disability.

Purpose To investigate how passive hyperthermia affect the resting-state functional brain activity based on an acute mouse model after heat stress exposure.Materials and methods Twenty-eight rs-fMRI data of C57BL/6J male mice which weighing about 24 ∼ 29 g and aged 12 ∼ 16 weeks were collected. The mice in the hyperthermia group (HT, 40 °C ± 0.5 °C, 40 min) were subjected to passive hyperthermia before the anesthesia preparation for scanning. While the normal control group (NC) was subjected to normothermia condition (NC, 20 °C ± 2 °C, 40 min). After data preprocessing, we performed independent component analysis (ICA) and region of interested (ROI)-ROI functional connectivity (FC) analyses on the data of both HT (n = 13) and NC (n = 15).Results The group ICA analysis showed that the HT and the NC both included 11 intrinsic connectivity networks (ICNs), and can be divided into four types of networks: the cortical network (CN), the subcortical network (SN), the default mode network (DMN), and cerebellar networks. CN and SN belongs to sensorimotor network. Compared with NC, the functional network organization of ICNs in the HT was altered and the overall functional intensity was decreased. Furthermore, 13 ROIs were selected in CN, SN, and DMN for further ROI-ROI FC analysis. The ROI-ROI FC analysis showed that passive hyperthermia exposure significantly reduced the FC strength in the overall brain represented by CN, SN, DMN of mice.Conclusion Prolonged exposure to high temperature has a greater impact on the overall perception and cognitive level of mice, which might help understand the relationship between neuronal activities and physiological thermal sensation and regulation as well as behavioral changes.

Background: Male breast cancer (MBC) is a rare disease. Although several large-scale studies have investigated MBC patients in other countries, the features of MBC patients in China have not been fully explored. This study aims to explore the features of Chinese MBC patients comprehensively. Methods: We retrospectively collected data of MBC patients from 36 centers in China. Overall survival (OS) was evaluated by the Kaplan-Meier method, log-rank test, and Cox regression analyses. Objectives: Effective exclusion of low-risk symptomatic outpatient cases for colorectal cancer (CRC) remains diagnostic challenges. We aimed to develop a self-reported symptom-based decision-making model for application in outpatient scenarios. Methods: In total, 8233 symptomatic cases at risk for CRC, as judged by outpatient physicians, were involved in this study at seven medical centers. A decision-making model was constructed using 60 self-reported symptom parameters collected from the questionnaire. Further internal and external validation cohorts were built to evaluate the discriminatory power of the CRC model. The discriminatory power of the CRC model was assessed by the C-index and calibration plot. After that, the clinical utility and user experience of the CRC model were evaluated. Results: Nine symptom parameters were identified as valuable predictors used for modeling. Internal and external validation cohorts verified the adequate discriminatory power of the CRC model. In the clinical application step, all 17 physicians found the model easy to grasp, 99.9 % of the patients were satisfied with the survey form. Application of this model detected all CRC cases. The total consistency ratio of outpatient cases undergoing colonoscopy was 81.4 %. None of the low-risk patients defined by the CRC model had been diagnosed with CRC. Conclusion: This multicenter study developed and validated a simple and user-friendly decision-making model covering self-reported information. The CRC model has been demonstrated to perform well in terms of rapid outpatient decision-making scenarios and clinical utility, particularly because it can better rule out low-risk outpatient cases.

Abstract Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a condition that causes swelling of the blood vessels of the retina and leaks blood and fluids. It is the most severe form of diabetic eye disease. It causes vision loss in its advanced stage. Diabetic retinopathy is responsible for causing 26% of blindness. Very insufficient therapies are accessible for the treatment of DR. As compared to the conventional therapies, there should be enhanced research on the controlled release, shorter duration, and cost-effective therapy of diabetic retinopathy. The expansion of advanced nanocarriers-based drug delivery systems has been now employed to exploit as well as regulate the transport of many therapeutic agents to target sites via the increase in penetration or the extension of the duration of contact employing production by enclosing as well as distributing tiny molecules in nanostructured formulation. Various polymers have been utilized for the manufacturing of these nanostructured formulations. Chitosan possesses incredible biological and chemical properties, that have led to its extensive use in pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. Chitosan has been used in many studies because of its enhanced mucoadhesiveness and non-toxicity. Multiple studies have used chitosan as the best candidate for manufacturing nanocarriers and treating diabetic retinopathy. Numerous nanocarriers have been formulated by using chitosan such as nanostructured lipid carriers, solid lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, and dendrimers for treating diabetic retinopathy. This current review elaborates on the recent advancements of chitosan as a promising approach for the manufacturing of nanocarriers that can be used for treating diabetic retinopathy.

Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to examine the Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) vaccine policies disparities and effectiveness in Germany, Denmark and Bulgaria, with a view to providing lessons for global vaccination and response to possible outbreak risks. Methods This study analyzed big data through public information on the official websites of the Ministries of Health of the European Union, Germany, Denmark and Bulgaria and the official websites of the World Health Organization. We systematically summarized the COVID-19 vaccine policies of the three countries, and selected the following six indicators for cross-cutting vaccination comparisons: COVID-19 vaccine doses administered per 100 people, COVID-19 vaccination rate, the share of people with fully vaccinated, the share of people only partly vaccinated, cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases per million, cumulative confirmed COVID-19 deaths per million. Meanwhile, we selected the following four indicators for measuring the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccine policy implementation: daily cases per million, daily deaths per million, the effective reproduction rate (Rt), the moving-average case fatality rate (CFR). Results Although these three EU countries had the same start time for vaccination, and the COVID-19 vaccine supply was coordinated by the EU, there are still differences in vaccination priorities, vaccination types, and vaccine appointment methods. Compared to Germany and Denmark, Bulgaria had the least efficient vaccination efforts and the worst vaccination coverage, with a vaccination rate of just over 30% as of June 2023, and the maximum daily deaths per million since vaccination began in the country was more than three times that of the other two countries. From the perspective of implementation effect, vaccination has a certain effect on reducing infection rate and death rate, but the spread of new mutant strains obviously aggravates the severity of the epidemic and reduces the effectiveness of the vaccine. Among them, the spread of the Omicron mutant strain had the most serious impact on the three countries, showing an obvious epidemic peak. Conclusions Expanding vaccination coverage has played a positive role in reducing COVID-19 infection and mortality rates and stabilizing Rt. Priority vaccination strategies targeting older people and at-risk groups have been shown to be effective in reducing COVID-19 case severity and mortality in the population. However, the emergence and spread of new variant strains, and the relaxation of epidemic prevention policies, still led to multiple outbreaks peaking. In addition, vaccine hesitancy, mistrust in government and ill-prepared health systems are hampering vaccination efforts. Among the notable ones are divergent types of responses to vaccine safety issue could fuel mistrust and hesitancy around vaccination. At this stage, it is also necessary to continue to include COVID-19 vaccination in priority vaccination plans and promote booster vaccination to prevent severe illness and death. Improving the fairness of vaccine distribution and reducing the degree of vaccine hesitancy are the focus of future vaccination work.

Recently, several studies explore to use neural networks(NNs) to solve different routing problems, which is an auspicious direction. These studies usually design an encoder–decoder based framework that uses encoder embeddings of nodes and the problem-specific context to iteratively generate node sequence(path), and further optimize the produced result on top, such as a beam search. However, these models are limited to accepting only the coordinates of nodes as input, disregarding the self-referential nature of the studied routing problems, and failing to account for the low reliability of node selection in the initial stages, thereby posing challenges for real-world applications.In this paper, we take the orienteering problem as an example to tackle these limitations in the previous studies. We propose a novel combination of a variant beam search algorithm and a learned heuristic for solving the general orienteering problem. We acquire the heuristic with an attention network that takes the distances among nodes as input, and learn it via a reinforcement learning framework. The empirical studies show that our method can surpass a wide range of baselines and achieve results iteratively generate the optimal or highly specialized approach.

Background: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) substantially affects quality of life and requires early prevention. This study aimed to elucidate the relationships between IBS and daily behaviors, including sedentary behavior (SB), physical activity (PA), and sleep. In particular, it seeks to identify healthy behaviors to reduce IBS risk, which previous studies have rarely addressed. Methods: Daily behaviors were retrieved from self-reported data of 362,193 eligible UK Biobank participants. Incident cases were determined by self-report or health care data according to Rome IV criteria. Results: A total of 345,388 participants were IBS-free at baseline, during a median follow-up of 8.45 years, 19,885 incident IBS cases were recorded. When examined individually, SB and shorter (≤7 h/day) or longer (>7 h/day) sleep duration were each positively associated with increased IBS risk, and PA was associated with lower IBS risk. The isotemporal substitution model suggested that replacing SB with other activities could provide further protective effects against IBS risk. Among people sleeping ≤7 h/day, replacing 1 h of SB with equivalent light PA, vigorous PA, or sleep was associated with 8.1% (95% confidence interval (95%CI): 0.901–0.937), 5.8% (95%CI: 0.896–0.991), and 9.2% (95%CI: 0.885–0.932) reduced IBS risk, respectively. For people sleeping >7 h/day, light and vigorous PA were associated with a 4.8% (95%CI: 0.926–0.978) and a 12.0% (95%CI: 0.815–0.949) lower IBS risk, respectively. These benefits were mostly independent of genetic risk for IBS. Conclusion: SB and unhealthy sleep duration are risk factors for IBS. A promising way to mitigate IBS risk for individuals sleeping ≤7 h/day and for those sleeping >7 h/day appears to be by replacing SB with adequate sleep or vigorous PA, respectively, regardless of the genetic predisposition of IBS.

Abstract With the increase in applied voltage and the decrease in volume, integrated electronic modules have become electrostatic sensitive. ZnO microvaristors doped silicone rubber (SiR) composite, with electric field‐dependent conductivity, shows promising prospects for solving the electrostatic problem. In this study, 20 vol% to 50 vol% ZnO/SiR composite films, filled with 10–30 μm ZnO microvaristors, were prepared and put into the test of electrostatic discharge. Compared with the insulating and conducting materials, ZnO/SiR composites achieve the lowest initial voltage and a short time constant of electrostatic discharge. With the increase of ZnO microvaristors volume fraction, from 20% to 50%, the initial voltage and the time constant of electrostatic discharge drop from 1.78 to 0.72 kV and 3.1 ms to 0.4 μs. When the ZnO volume fraction is higher than 30%, there is no residual voltage after 0.1 s. To explore the reason behind different electrostatic discharge performances of the ZnO/SiR composites, the conductivities of the composites were measured. It is found that the break‐over voltage of the composite drops with the increase in the ZnO microvaristors volume fraction. When a high voltage impulse is applied on the ZnO/SiR film, the composite will turn to the conducting state and release the electrostatic charge adaptively so that the initial voltage can be controlled. This work supplies a novel electrostatic discharge idea for electric and electronic devices.

Abstract Lipoyltransferase 2 (LIPT2) acts as a key enzyme involved in fatty acid metabolism and cell membrane synthesis. However, the biological function of LIPT2 in various cancer types and its potential significance in prognosis continue to be unresolved. For this analysis, we evaluated the expression levels and the significance of prognosis of LIPT2 gene in all cancers by various bioinformatics methods. The results found that LIPT2 was dramatically overexpressed in the vast majority of cancers. The upregulated LIPT2 was related to bad prognosis in Brain Lower Grade Glioma (LGG), Glioma (GBMLGG), Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), Kidney Chromophobe (KICH), and High-Risk Wilms Tumor (WT), while it had a favorable prognosis in Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), and Ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), Pan-kidney cohort (KIPAN). Furthermore, we assessed the mutation status, methylation levels, and immune status of LIPT2 in pan-cancer. Single-cell sequencing results revealed the correlation of LIPT2 expression with various biological characteristics such as DNA lesion, tumor angiogenesis, cell apoptosis, metastasis, and invasion. Enrichment analysis unveiled potential molecular regulatory mechanisms. In conclusion, our research reveals a detailed key role of LIPT2 in the progression, prognosis, and immune efficacy of various forms of cancer. Therefore, we have reason to believe that LIPT2 has the potential to be a candidate biomarker for tumors.

Accurate information regarding the size, activity, and distribution of coastal tourists is essential for the effective management and planning of coastal tourism. In this study, geotagged photos uploaded to social network services were classified to identify coastal tourism activities. These activities were linked with spatial-scale data on tourist numbers estimated from social media data. To classify the activities, which included recreation, appreciation, education, and other activities, an image-supervised classification model was trained using 12,229 images, and the test accuracy was found to be 0.7244. On the Flickr platform, 43% of the image data located in the coastal land of South Korea are other activities, 39% are appreciation activities, and 18% are recreation and education activities. Other activities are mainly located in urban areas with a high population density and are spatially concentrated, while appreciation activities are mainly located in the natural environment and tend to be spatially spread out. Data on tourist activity categorization through content classification, combined with traditional tourist volume estimates, can help us understand previously overlooked information and context about a space.

Aiming at the problems of low soil cover and serious wear and tear of transmission parts in the soil lifting device of potato planters, this paper carries out innovative optimization design of its key parts based on TRIZ theory. The discrete element model of the soil model and the multi-body dynamic model of the soil lifting device are established, the upper scraping and lower scraping soil lifting devices are simulated respectively through the method of DEM-MBD coupling, and the working mechanism of the soil lifting device is further explored. The simulation results show that the lower scraping type lifting device has a large conveying capacity and a stable flow rate at the soil outlet. The results of the soil tank performance comparison test show that: the improved soil lifting device has a simple structure, large conveying capacity, stable flow rate, and fast flow speed and is not easily congested. It meets the standard requirements of dryland potato seedling strip mulching planting technology on mulching parameters and is of great significance for improving dryland food production on the Loess Plateau.

The strategic recovery of buoys is a critical task in executing deep-sea research missions, as nations extend their exploration of marine territories. This study primarily investigates the dynamics of remotely operated vehicle (ROV)-assisted salvage operations for floating bodies during the recovery of dynamic maritime targets. It focuses on the hydrodynamic coefficients of dual floating bodies in this salvage process. The interaction dynamics of the twin floats are examined using parameters such as the kinematic response amplitude operator (RAO), added mass, damping coefficient, and mean drift force. During the “berthing stage”, when the double floats are at Fr = 0.15–0.18, their roll and yaw Response Amplitude Operators are diminished, resulting in smoother motion. Thus, the optimal berthing speed range for this stage is Fr = 0.15–0.18. During the “side-by-side phase”, the spacing between the ROV and FLOAT under wave action should be approximately 0.4 L to 0.5 L. The coupled motion of twin floating bodies under the influence of following waves can further enhance their stability. The ideal towing speed during the “towing phase” is Fr = 0.2. This research aims to analyze the mutual influence between two floating bodies under wave action. By simulating the coupled motion of dual dynamic targets, we more precisely assess the risks and challenges inherent in salvage operations, thus providing a scientific basis for the design and optimization of salvage strategies.

Abstract The mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) has been extensively used as molecular markers in determining the insect phylogenetic relationships. In order to resolve the relationships among tribes and subtribes of Satyrinae at the mitochondrial genomic level, we obtained the complete mitogenome of Aulocera merlina (Oberthür, 1890) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Satyrinae) with a size of 15,259 bp. The mitogenome consisted of 37 typical genes, including 13 protein‐coding genes (PCGs), 2 ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), and an A + T‐rich region. The gene organization and arrangement were similar to those of all other known Satyrinae mitogenomes. All PCGs were initiated with the canonical codon pattern ATN, except for the cox1 gene, which used an atypical CGA codon. Nine PCGs used the complete stop codon TAA, while the remaining PCGs (cox1, cox2, nad4, and nad5) were terminated with a single T nucleotide. The canonical cloverleaf secondary structures were found in all tRNAs, except for trnS1 which lacked a dihydrouridine arm. The 448 bp A + T‐rich region was located between rrnS and trnM, and it included the motif ATAGA followed by a 19‐bp poly‐T stretch and a microsatellite‐like (TA)6 element preceded by the ATTTA motif. The phylogenetic tree, inferred using Bayesian inference and maximum likelihood methods, generated similar tree topologies, revealing well‐supported monophyletic groups at the tribe level and recovering the relationship ((Satyrini + Melanitini) + ((Amathusiini + Elymniini) + Zetherini)). The close relationship between Satyrina and Melanargiina within the Satyrini was widely accepted. Additionally, Lethina, Parargina, and Mycalesina were closely related and collectively formed a sister group to Coenonymphina. Moreover, A. merlina was closely related to Oeneis buddha within the Satyrina. These findings will provide valuable information for future studies aiming to elucidate the phylogenetic relationships of Satyrinae.

ABSTRACTThe present study aimed to characterize the gut microbiota and serum metabolome changes associated with sleep deprivation (SD) as well as to explore the potential benefits of multi-probiotic supplementation in alleviating SD-related mental health disorders. Rats were subjected to 7 days of SD, followed by 14 days of multi-probiotics or saline administration. Open-field tests were conducted at baseline, end of SD (day 7), and after 14 days of saline or multi-probiotic gavage (day 21). Metagenomic sequencing was conducted on fecal samples, and serum metabolites were measured by untargeted liquid chromatography tandem-mass spectrometry. At day 7, anxiety-like behaviors, including significant decreases in total movement distance (P = 0.0002) and staying time in the central zone (P = 0.021), were observed. In addition, increased levels of lipopolysaccharide (LPS; P = 0.028) and decreased levels of uridine (P = 0.018) and tryptophan (P = 0.01) were detected in rats after 7 days of SD. After SD, the richness of the gut bacterial community increased, and the levels of Akkermansia muciniphila, Muribaculum intestinale, and Bacteroides caecimuris decreased. The changes in the host metabolism and gut microbiota composition were strongly associated with the anxiety-like behaviors caused by SD. In addition, multi-probiotic supplementation for 14 days modestly improved the anxiety-like behaviors in SD rats but significantly reduced the serum level of LPS (P = 0.045). In conclusion, SD induces changes in the gut microbiota and serum metabolites, which may contribute to the development of chronic inflammatory responses and affect the gut-brain axis, causing anxiety-like behaviors. Probiotic supplementation significantly reduces serum LPS, which may alleviate the influence of chronic inflammation.IMPORTANCEThe disturbance in the gut microbiome and serum metabolome induced by SD may be involved in anxiety-like behaviors. Probiotic supplementation decreases serum levels of LPS, but this reduction may be insufficient for alleviating SD-induced anxiety-like behaviors.

Abstract Aim We investigated the relationship between the group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s)‐myeloid‐derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) axis and obesity‐related breast cancer. Methods Fifty‐eight patients with breast cancer who had first relapse and metastasis between January 2019 and August 2021 were enrolled. The proportions of ILC2s and MDSCs in blood and the levels of cytokines in serum were detected with flow cytometry. ObjectiveTo assess the effectiveness and clinical value of case–cohort design and determine prognostic factors of breast cancer patients in Xinjiang on the basis of case–cohort design.MethodsThe survival data with different sample characteristics were simulated by using Cox proportional risk models. To evaluate the effectiveness for the case–cohort, entire cohort, and simple random sampling design by comparing the mean, coefficient of variation, etc., of covariate parameters. A tripartite incentive-enabled edge device resource sharing algorithm was proposed to manage and allocate the shared resources for the “cloud-edge-end” three-tier edge network architecture.Considering the single-point network congestion, network-wide coverage constraint, limited resource constraint and transmission cost constraint, the edge devices were abstracted into different functional nodes to design a convex envelope-based shared node (CESN) selection algorithm to achieve a full-coverage, low-energy shared resource deployment scheme.Secondly, to address the additional cost problem caused by allocating shared resources on edge devices, a tripartite sharing incentive mechanism was designed based on the shared resource leasing model, which guaranteed the long-term and stable participation of edge devices in the sharing mechanism.The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the system energy consumption and node revenue compared to the existing algorithms.

Abstract Cross-country sit-skiers use double poling (DP) technique to drive the slide. The aim of this study is to analyze how poling camber angle affect the capacity of power output and biomechanical parameters of the DP process. Twenty-four non-disabled college students (24.67 ± 1.46 years old) were recruited to perform three successive 30-s maximal effort tests with different poling camber angles of 0°, 15°, 24° and 30° using a sit-skiing ergometer. The biomechanical parameters, output power and muscle activation of the subjects were analyzed. Abstract Background This study aimed to analyze coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)vaccine policies and effectiveness in Korea, Japan, and Singapore, thereby providing empirical experience for vaccination and response to similar public health emergencies. Methods The study systematically summarized the COVID-19 vaccine policies in Korea, Japan, and Singapore through public information from the Our World in Data website and the official websites of the Ministries of Health in these three countries.Total vaccinations, COVID-19 vaccination rates, rates of fully vaccinated, rates of boostervaccinated, and total confifirmed cases were selected for cross-sectional comparison of COVID-19 vaccination in these three countries. Combining the basic characteristics of these three countries, daily cases per million, daily deaths per million, and the effective reproduction rate were calculated to measure the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccine policies implementation in each of these three countries Results The countermeasures against the COVID-19 in Korea, Japan, and Singapore, although seemingly different on the surface, have all taken an aggressive approach. There are large similarities in the timing of the start of COVID-19 vaccination, the type of vaccine, how vaccine appointments are made, and whether vaccination are free, and all had high vaccination rates. A systematic comparison of the anti-epidemic practices in the three East Asian countries revealed that all three countries experienced more than one outbreak spike due to the spread of new mutant strains after the start of mass vaccination with COVID-19 vaccination, but that vaccination played a positive role in reducing the number of deaths and stabilizing the effective reproduction rate. Conclusions This study comparatively analyzed the COVID-19 vaccine policies and their effects in South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, and found that there is a common set of logical combinations behind the seemingly different strategies of these three countries. Therefore, in the process of combating COVID-19, countries can learn from the successful experience of combating the epidemic and continue to strengthen the implementation of vaccination programs, as well as adjusting public perceptions to reduce the level of vaccine hesitancy, enhance the motivation for vaccination, and improve the coverage of COVID-19 vaccine based on different cultural factors, which remains the direction for future development.

Information diffusion may lead to behaviors related to information content. This paper considers the co-existence of information and behavior diffusion in social networks. The state of users is divided into six categories, and the rules and model of collaborative diffusion of information and behavior are established. The influence of different parameters and conditions on the proportions of behavior diffusion nodes and information diffusion ones is analyzed experimentally. The results show that the proportion of nodes taking action in uniform networks is higher than that in non-uniform networks. Although users are more likely to take actions related to information content after spreading or knowing information, the results show that it has little influence on the proportion of users taking action. The proportion is mainly affected by the probability that users who do not take action become ones who take. The greater the probability, the less the proportion of nodes who know information. In addition, compared with choosing the same node as the initial information and behavior diffusion node, choosing different nodes is more beneficial to the diffusion of behaviors related to information content.

Abstract Objective The study aimed to analyze the efficiency and equity of bed utilization in Please check if the section headings are assigned to appropriate levels.China’s healthcare institutions and to compare and analyze the overall health resource utilization efficiency in recent years and some specific utilization conditions in 2021, to provide empirical experience for the allocation of health care resources in epidemic China. Methods To compare and analyze the overall health resource utilization efficiency of the whole country with that of the East, middle, and West in 2021, and to analyze the bed utilization efficiency of different types of healthcare institutions in China and the bed utilization efficiency of various types of specialist hospitals in the country in 2021 by using the rank-sum ratio method. Results In 2021, the bed utilization rate of China’s health institutions was 69.82%, and the number of bed turnover times was 27.65 times; the bed utilization rate of hospitals was 74.6%, and the number of bed turnover times was 26.08 times. The number of hospital bed turnovers was highest in the western region, lowest in the central region, and close to the national average in the eastern region. The average length of stay for discharged patients was the highest in the central region, the lowest in the eastern region, and the same as the national average in the western region. The analysis of rank-sum ratio method shows that among different types of health institutions’ bed utilization efficiency (r = 0.935, P = 0.000), general hospitals and traditional Chinese medicine hospitals have the best bed utilization rate, and the bed utilization rate of community health service centers (stations) needs to be improved; while among various types of specialized hospitals’ bed utilization efficiency (r = 0.959, P = 0.000), oncology hospitals, thoracic hospitals, and hematology hospitals, children’s hospitals have high bed utilization efficiency; leprosy hospitals, cosmetic hospitals, and stomatology hospitals have low bed utilization efficiency. Abstract We previously confirmed that a strain of Lactobacillus oris isolated from the fecal samples of healthy Hainan centenarian having potent lipid-lowering ability in HepG2 cells; and this study was to investigate the effect of the stain on non-alcoholic fatty liver in mice in vivio. The Lactobacillus oris strain isolated from Hainan centenarian fecal samples were frozen stored in our laboratory. Thirty ob/ob mice (10 in each group) were orally gavaged with Lactobacillus oris (Lactobacillus, 5 × 109 cfu), mixed probiotics (Mixed, 5 × 109 cfu, a mixture with known lipid-lowering ability), or culture medium (Control) respectively. Lactobacillus oris isolated from fecal samples of Hainan centenarians showed significantly in vivo lipid lowering ability compared with the controls, and the ability was comparable with mixed probiotics strains in mice The possible mechanisms of lipid-lowering of probiotics and Lactobacillus oris may be associated with HMGR inhibition to suppress the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol; bile acids reabsorption, and intestinal FXR-FGF15 signaling pathways promoting the cholesterol conversion into bile acids secretion.

Abstract. In this study, we aimed to explore the safety and vaccination coverage data of Chinese patients with breast cancer receiving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination. The patients were recruited from 41 hospitals across 20 Chinese provinces. The vaccination coverage was approximately 22.4%, and the frequency of total adverse events was 13.3% after the first dose and 9.9% after the second dose. The most frequent adverse reaction within 14 days of the first dose was local pain (5.7%). Unvaccinated patients were very likely to reject the vaccine rather than be hesitant in patients with old age (odds ratio [OR], 1.238; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.101–1.391), chronic disease history (OR, 1.189; 95% CI, 1.057–1.337), and cancer relapse (OR, 1.398; 95% CI, 1.233–1.585). Of the unvaccinated patients with breast cancer, 54.1% opted to receive COVID-19 vaccines if more data were available. Considering the safety but low vaccination coverage for breast cancer, increased positive attitudes and acceptance toward COVID-19 vaccines are important.

Motion recognition provides movement information for people with physical dysfunction, the elderly and motion-sensing games production, and is important for accurate recognition of human motion. We employed three classical machine learning algorithms and three deep learning algorithm models for motion recognition, namely Random Forests (RF), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Decision Tree (DT) and Dynamic Neural Network (DNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). Compared with the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) worn on seven parts of body. Overall, the difference in performance among the three classical machine learning algorithms in this study was insignificant. The RF algorithm model performed best, having achieved a recognition rate of 96.67%, followed by the KNN algorithm model with an optimal recognition rate of 95.31% and the DT algorithm with an optimal recognition rate of 94.85%. The performance difference among deep learning algorithm models was significant. The DNN algorithm model performed best, having achieved a recognition rate of 97.71%. Our study validated the feasibility of using multidimensional data for motion recognition and demonstrated that the optimal wearing part for distinguishing daily activities based on multidimensional sensing data was the waist. In terms of algorithms, deep learning algorithms based on multi-dimensional sensors performed better, and tree-structured models still have better performance in traditional machine learning algorithms. The results indicated that IMU combined with deep learning algorithms can effectively recognize actions and provided a promising basis for a wider range of applications in the field of motion recognition.

Abstract. Background:. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer in women and a proportion of patients experiences brain metastases with poor prognosis. The study aimed to construct a novel predictive clinical model to evaluate the overall survival (OS) of patients with postoperative brain metastasis of breast cancer (BCBM) and validate its effectiveness. Methods:. From 2010 to 2020, a total of 310 female patients with BCBM were diagnosed in The Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, and they were randomly assigned to the training cohort and the validation cohort. Data of another 173 BCBM patients were collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) database as an external validation cohort. In the training cohort, the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) Cox regression model was used to determine the fundamental clinical predictive indicators and the nomogram was constructed to predict OS. The model capability was assessed using receiver operating characteristic, C-index, and calibration curves. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed to evaluate clinical effectiveness of the risk stratification system in the model. The accuracy and prediction capability of the model were verified using the validation and SEER cohorts. Results:. LASSO Cox regression analysis revealed that lymph node metastasis, molecular subtype, tumor size, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and lung metastasis were statistically significantly correlated with BCBM. The C-indexes of the survival nomogram in the training, validation, and SEER cohorts were 0.714, 0.710, and 0.670, respectively, which showed good prediction capability. The calibration curves demonstrated that the nomogram had great forecast precision, and a dynamic diagram was drawn to increase the maneuverability of the results. The Risk Stratification System showed that the OS of low-risk patients was considerably better than that of high-risk patients (P < 0.001). Conclusion:. The nomogram prediction model constructed in this study has a good predictive value, which can effectively evaluate the survival rate of patients with postoperative BCBM.

In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Stibochiona nicea (Gray, 1846) (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) was first reported with 15,298 bp in size, containing 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes (rrnL and rrnS), and one control region. The nucleotide composition of the entire mitogenome is highly A + T biased (81.5%). The gene content and arrangement of the newly sequenced mitogenome are identical to those of the other available mitogenomes of Nymphalidae. All PCGs start with the conventional ATN codons, except for cox1 initiating with atypical CGA(R). Nine PCGs (atp8, atp6, cox3, nad1, nad2, nad3, nad4l, nad6, and cob) utilize a typical stop codon TAA, whereas the remaining PCGs (cox1, cox2, nad4, and nad5) end with an incomplete stop codon T–. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that S. nicea is closely related to Dichorragia nesimachus within Pseudergolinae, which further forms the sister group to the grouping of (Nymphalinae + (Cyrestinae + (Biblidinae + Apaturinae))). The complete mitogenome of S. nicea will provide useful genetic information for improving the taxonomic system and phylogenetics of Nymphalidae.

Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and 5G technology allow clients to access computing resources at the network frontier, which paves the way for applying Mobile Augmented Reality (MAR) applications. Under the MEC paradigm, MAR clients can offload complex tasks to the MEC server and enhance the human perception of the world by merging the received virtual information with the real environment. However, the resource allocation problem arises as a critical challenge in circumstances where several MAR clients compete for limited resources at the network frontier. In this paper, we aim to design an online resource allocation scheme on the MEC server that takes both high quality of experience and good fairness performance for MAR clients into consideration. We first formulate this problem as a Markov decision process and tackle the challenge of applying the deep reinforcement learning paradigm. Then, we propose DRAM, a Deep reinforcement learning-based Resource allocation scheme for mobile Augmented reality service in MEC. We also propose a self-adaptive algorithm on the MAR client that is derived based on the analysis of the MAR service to tackle client adaptation problems. The simulation results demonstrated that DRAM can provide high quality of experience and simultaneously achieve good fairness performance by coordinating with clients’ adaptation algorithms.

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to provide experience and evidence support for countries to deal with similar public health emergencies such as COVID-19 by comparing and analyzing the measures taken by six countries in epidemic prevention and control.MethodsThis study extracted public data on COVID-19 from the official website of various countries and used ecological comparative research methods to compare the specific situation of indicators such as daily tests per thousand people, stringency index, and total vaccinations per hundred people in countries.ResultsThe cumulative death toll in China, Germany and Australia was significantly lower than that in the United States, South Africa and Italy. Expanding the scale of testing has helped control the spread of the epidemic to some extent. When the epidemic situation is severe, the stringency index increases, and when the epidemic situation tends to ease, the stringency index decreases. Increased vaccination rates, while helping to build an immune barrier, still need to be used in conjunction with non-drug interventions.ConclusionThe implementation of non-drug interventions and vaccine measures greatly affected the epidemic prevention and control effect. In responding to public health emergencies such as the COVID-19 epidemic, countries should draw on international experience, closely align with their national conditions, follow the laws of epidemiology, actively take non-drug intervention measures, and vigorously promote vaccine research and development and vaccination.

Background: Sex differences in health status and life expectancy are widely accepted to exist. The mechanisms underlying it are still poorly understood. In this study, we aimed to clarify the influences and contributions of sex on the gut microbiome in healthy centenarians and to explore the different roles played by the gut microbiome in healthy aging between the sexes. Results: Taking covariates of different dimensions into account (social demographics, anthropometry, the activities of daily living, dietary structure, mental state, blood tests, lifestyle and disease history), our data showed that sex was one of the most significant covariates affecting the gut microbiome of healthy centenarians at both the species and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes Orthology (KO) levels. Background: The invasive brownrat (Rattus norvegicus) and the Oriental rats (Rattus tanezumi) are common commensal murid that are important hosts for rodent-borne diseases in southeast Asia. Understanding their population structure and genetic diversity is essential to uncover their invasion biology and distribution dynamics that are essential for controlling rodent-borne diseases.Methods: TA total of 103 R. norvegicus and 85 R. tanezumi were collected from 13 to 9 coastal areas of six provincial monitoring sentinel sites, respectivelyto assess patterns in their microsatellite loci and their mitochondrial coxl gene region.Results: Eleven sampled populations of R. norvegicus were divided into two major clusters by region. The observed heterozygosity values of all regional populations were smaller than expected genetic diversity heterozygosity values and deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium Nine sample populations of R. tanezumi were divided into three clusters; two that included sample from Hainan and Fujian provinces, and one that included samples from the other provinces and cities. The genetic diversity of R. tanezumi was highest in samples from Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces.Conclusion: The data in this paper confirm the two invasive rodent species from the southeastern coastal region of China may have relied on maritime transport to spread from the southern region of China to the Yangtze River basin. R. tanezumi may then hanve migrated unidirectionally, along the southeastern provinces of China towards the north, while R. norvegicus spread in a complex and multidirectional manner in Hainan, Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces of the country.

The concrete-faced rockfill dam (CFRD) has been widely constructed worldwide, and the reliability of the concrete panels, the most important containment structure, is critical to the safety of the CFRDs and downstream communities. Several practical projects show that concrete slab cracking usually occurs during the water storage period, which can be attributed to the rapid increase of hydrostatic pressure and uneven settlement of the dam body. In this paper, a time-dependent reliability analysis method considering the fuzziness of the failure criterion is presented to assess the slab cracking risk of the Houziyan CFRD during the water storage period. Based on the observed deformation, the material parameters are calibrated to ensure the fidelity of the numerical simulation. Based on the Drucker–Prager yield criterion and tensile strength criterion, the response surface method is utilized to construct the performance functions at different moments, and then the time-dependent reliability analysis considering the fuzzy failure criteria is implemented for the concrete slab. The case study of the Houziyan CFRD shows that, during the initial period of water storage, the reliability index of the concrete slab decreases with the rise of the water level. With a stable water level, the probability of cracking of the concrete slab slowly decreases as the deformation of the dam body and slab tend to be coordinated. Especially, considering the fuzziness of the failure criteria, the reliability index decreased by about 2%, indicating that the proposed evaluation method is biased toward safety. The method proposed in this paper can reflect the evolution law of concrete slab reliability with the operating environment and provides a new approach to evaluate the performance of the concrete slab during the water storage period.

Abstract Personal‐use, naked eye‐readable, low‐cost, highly sensitive, and selective biosensors for rapid detection of environmental toxicants are relevant for many application scenarios. Here, the recent developments of highly sensitive and naked eye distinguishable colorimetric sensors by using commercially available melamine foam (MF) as basic sensing materials for instant and volume‐responsive simultaneous detection of multiple targets in fluid systems are reported. The MF possesses a unique reticulated three‐dimensional (3D) macroporous framework structure enabling rapid mass transfer of large biomolecules through the structures in all directions, ensuring easy access of numerous active binding sites of the chemically modified framework to the proteins and target molecules, and subsequently providing significantly increased sensitive and volume‐responsive detection of target molecules in flowing through sensor systems. Promising results in direct, sandwich, and competitive ELISA tests demonstrated the great application potential of the materials. Besides, an additive and simultaneous detection of two targets in one system is achieved by using different layers of the sensor materials in a flowing‐through filtering device. The novel biosensors are expected to significantly improve the sensitivity and broaden the applications of ELISA in the rapid detections of trace amounts of toxicants in liquid and aerosol systems.

Background: The novel biologic agent ustekinumab (UST), a monoclonal antibody against the p40 subunit of interleukin-12 and interleukin-23, has been applied in the treatment of Crohn’s disease (CD). With the development of relevant research, the clinical treatment and favorable prognosis of UST in CD have garnered considerable attention. However, there is a lack of reports that present the current status of UST-related studies in a comprehensive and objective manner. Consequently, this study aims to visually analyze the current status and clinical trends of UST-related research, identify leading researchers, and recognize deficiencies using bibliometrics and knowledge mapping, which might assist in understanding future research priorities in that specific field.Methods: Published articles containing the use of UST in CD were retrieved from the Web of Science core collection database between 2008 and 2022. Then, the bibliometric analysis was performed, and a knowledge map was generated and visualized using the CiteSpace software.Results: A total of 479 articles published between 2008 and 2022 were included in the bibliometric analysis. These publications were authored by 185 scholars from 51 countries or regions, among which the United States (38.3%), Canada (16.9%) and England (10.0%) were predominant in publishing. The keyword analysis indicated that UST has long been a popular biologic agent, and its clinical efficacy, safety, and indication for vulnerable populations in CD are popular research topics. The phrase “fecal calprotectin,” a biomarker reflecting the degree of disease activity and monitoring the therapeutic response, began to gain traction in 2020 and has continued to this day. Looking for UST-related biomarkers was gaining clinical attention.Conclusion: The number of clinical studies involving the outcome of UST treatment in CD patients has increased, with the current research focusing on efficacy, safety, indications for vulnerable populations, therapeutic drug monitoring, and biomarkers. As an alternative drug after the failure of traditional immunosuppressive therapies or TNF-α antagonist therapy, UST is an effective and safe therapy in real-world refractory CD patients. UST will remain an active candidate for research in the treatment of CD.

BackgroundThe widespread use of vaccines against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has become one of the most effective means to establish a population immune barrier. Patients with cancer are vulnerable to COVID-19 infection, adverse events, and high mortality, and should be the focus of epidemic prevention and treatment. However, real-world data on the safety of vaccines for patients with breast cancer are still scarce. ObjectiveThis study aims to compare the safety of COVID-19 vaccines between patients vaccinated before or after being diagnosed with breast cancer. MethodsPatients with breast cancer who sought medical advice from October 2021 to December 2021 were screened. Those who received COVID-19 vaccines were enrolled in this study to analyze the safety of the vaccines. The primary outcome was patient-reported adverse events (AEs). All events after vaccine injection were retrospectively documented from the patients. ResultsA total of 15,455 patients with breast cancer from 41 hospitals in 20 provinces in China were screened, and 5766 patients who received COVID-19 vaccines were enrolled. Of those enrolled, 45.1% (n=2599) of patients received vaccines before breast cancer diagnosis, 41.3% (n=2379) were vaccinated after diagnosis, and 13.6% (n=784) did not known the accurate date of vaccination or cancer diagnosis. Among the patients vaccinated after diagnosis, 85.4% (n=2032) were vaccinated 1 year after cancer diagnosis and 95.4% (n=2270) were vaccinated during early-stage cancer. Of all 5766 vaccinated patients, 93.9% (n=5415) received an inactivated vaccine, 3.7% (n=213) received a recombinant subunit vaccine, and 2.4% (n=138) received other vaccines, including adenovirus and mRNA vaccines. In the first injection of vaccines, 24.4% (n=10, 95% CI 11.2-37.5) of patients who received an adenovirus vaccine reported AEs, compared to only 12.5% (n=677, 95% CI 11.6-13.4) of those who received an inactivated vaccine. Patients with metastatic breast cancer reported the highest incidence of AEs (n=18, 16.5%, 95% CI 9.5-23.5). Following the second injection, patients who received an inactivated vaccine (n=464, 8.7%, 95% CI 8.0-9.5) and those who received a recombinant vaccine (n=25, 8.7%, 95% CI 5.5-12.0) reported the same incidence of AEs. No significant differences in patient-reported AEs were found between the healthy population and patients with breast cancer (16.4% vs 16.9%, respectively); the most common AEs were local pain (11.1% vs 9.1%, respectively), fatigue (5.5% vs 6.3%, respectively), and muscle soreness (2.3% vs 3.6%, respectively). The type of vaccine and time window of vaccination had little impact on patient-reported AEs. ConclusionsCompared with patients vaccinated before breast cancer diagnosis, there were no significant differences in patient-reported AEs in the patients vaccinated after diagnosis. Thus, it is safe for patients with breast cancer, especially for those in the early stage, to receive COVID-19 vaccines. BackgroundsThe factors associated with erectile dysfunction (ED) are diverse, and obesity is a significant component. Metabolic Score for Visceral Fat (METS-VF) can assess obesity more accurately than body mass index (BMI). However, the association between METS-VF and ED remains unclear.ObjectiveThis study aimed to investigate the association between the METS-VF and ED using National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2001-2004 data.MethodsData were sourced from NHANES 2001-2004. The relationship between METS-VF and ED was analyzed using multivariate logistic regression, followed by subgroup analyses to identify sensitive populations. Nonlinear correlation was evaluated through smoothed curve fitting, and a threshold effect analysis validated the findings. Comparative logistic regression of the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve assessed the diagnostic capability of METS-VF against the classical obesity index for ED.ResultsThe study enrolled 3625 participants, of whom 961 self-reported ED history and 360 reported severe ED. After adjusting for confounders, METS-VF exhibited a positive association with asthma prevalence (OR= 3.47, 95% CI: 2.83, 14.24). Stratification based on median METS-VF revealed higher ED prevalence in participants with elevated METS-VF (OR= 2.81,95% CI:2.32, 3.41). Nonlinear correlation was observed, with a significant association between METS-VF and ED when METS-VF exceeded 6.63. Subgroup analysis highlighted a stronger correlation in participants aged 50-85 years, Caucasians, hypertensive individuals, diabetics, and those with coronary heart disease. Sensitivity analysis using severe ED as the outcome reaffirmed the nonlinear positive association with METS-VF (OR=3.86, 95% CI:2.80,5.33), particularly when METS-VF surpassed 6.68.ConclusionElevated METS-VF was nonlinearly correlated with increased ED incidence. Individuals with METS-VF above 6.63 should be vigilant about heightened ED risk. Special attention should be given to participants aged 50-85 years, Caucasians, hypertensive individuals, diabetics, and those with coronary heart disease.

Abstract The rock mass around deep roadways has obvious creep characteristics in high-stress environments. Meanwhile, the cyclic impact load induced by roof fracturing also causes dynamic damage to the surrounding rock, leading to long-term large deformation. This paper examined the rock mass deformation mechanism around deep roadways based on the theory of rock creep perturbation effect considering perturbation sensitive zone. This study proposed a long-term stability control guideline for deep roadways under dynamic load. An innovative support system was developed for deep roadways, with concrete-filled steel tubular support being recommended as the main supporting body. A case study was conducted to validate the proposed supporting system. Monitoring over one year in the case study mine showed that the overall convergence deformation of the roadway was 35 mm, indicating that the roadway’s long-term large deformation induced by creep perturbation was effectively controlled by using the proposed bearing circle support system.

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, data-driven advanced models have provided new ideas and means for airfoil aerodynamic optimization. As the advanced models update and iterate, many useful explorations and attempts have been made by researchers on the integrated application of artificial intelligence and airfoil aerodynamic optimization. In this paper, many critical aerodynamic optimization steps where data-driven advanced models are employed are reviewed. These steps include geometric parameterization, aerodynamic solving and performance evaluation, and model optimization. In this way, the improvements in the airfoil aerodynamic optimization area led by data-driven advanced models are introduced. These improvements involve more accurate global description of airfoil, faster prediction of aerodynamic performance, and more intelligent optimization modeling. Finally, the challenges and prospect of applying data-driven advanced models to aerodynamic optimization are discussed.

To investigate the stabilization mechanism of microbial necromass carbon (C) in rice paddy soil, the accumulation of microbial necromass and its contribution to SOC in bulk soil and in various fractions were addressed under a 40-year fertilization trial. The fertilization regimes included no fertilizer (Control), nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium inorganic fertilizer (NPK), and inorganic fertilizer plus manure (NPKM). Coarse particulate organic matter (cPOM), fine inter-microaggregate POM (fPOM), intra-microaggregate POM (iPOM), non-occluded silt plus clay fraction (s + c_f), and silt plus clay occluded within microaggregates (s + c_m) fractions were isolated. The results indicated that fungal necromass were the main component of microbial necromass across the fractions; however, the bacterial role was enhanced in mineral fractions (s + c_f and s + c_m) compared to POM fractions (cPOM, fPOM, and iPOM). The iPOM and mineral fractions stored more than 90 % of microbial necromass C due to the physical protection (organo-mineral associations and occlusion within microaggregates). Compared to Control, the significantly increased content of microbial necromass C and its contribution to SOC in bulk soil were attributed to the enhanced content of fungal necromass in iPOM fraction under NPK treatment. The highest content of microbial necromass C was found under NPKM treatment; moreover, the increased content of microbial necromass C in iPOM and s + c_m fractions made up to 82.80 % of that in bulk soil compared to Control, while a saturation behavior was found in s + c_f fraction. The contribution of microbial necromass to SOC was not altered under NPKM treatment compared to Control. However, a reduced fungal/bacterial necromass C ratio was found in bulk soil and iPOM fraction under NPKM treatment compared to Control, mainly due to the supply of higher quality substrates and the increased soil pH. As a whole, this study revealed the diverse responses of microbial necromass C accumulation and its contribution to SOC under different fertilization regimes in paddy soil.
